Chapter 2: Bad Memories
‘Wow’ was all Kagome thought, walking back towards that campsite in her daze. “Ouch! What is that?” she walked towards a river nearby, not to far from the path, and looked into the water. “What the...?” Kagome said in utter confusion as she noticed that Sesshoumaru had left a strange mark on her skin. “Oh Kami! How am I gunna explain this to everyone?” She started to try to scrub it off, but it stayed exactly the same. Kagome sighed and gave up, heading back on the trail to camp.
When Kagome got to camp, she was bombarded with hugs from everyone, even Inuyasha. She shoved the half demon off of her and asked, “What are you doing?!” Inuyasha stared at her with guilt, and explained, “I wanted to...apologize...for this morning...”
Flashback
‘It’s to early!’ thought Kagome drowsily, as she sat up. ‘I better start making breakfast soon, or Inuyasha will have a fit.’ Kagome got up from her sleeping bag carefully, trying not to knock Shippo onto the ground. She started walking to a stream nearby that they had passed the day before, when she heard people talking not to far from her. She decided to check it out, just incase, she headed in that direction. When there, she noticed it was Inuyasha and Kikyo. ‘Oh, its just them. I’m glad I got over Inuyasha, now he can be happy.’ Kagome was about to walk away when she heard their conversation.
“Inuyasha, to be able to live again, I must have my full soul.” Kikyo said seriously, leaning back to look into Inuyasha’s eyes.
“I will do anything to bring you back. Anything.” Inuyasha replied, kissing Kikyo passionatetly.
Kagome gasped, causing Inuyasha to stop and go into battle mode. “Who’s there!?” Inuyasha yelled, placing his hand on the hilt of Tetsusaiga.
Kagome calmly stepped from the bushes, staring at Inuyasha with tears in her eyes. “So, you would even kill me to bring her back?” Inuyasha didn’t respond, so Kagome ran away. She didn’t even know where she was running. She ran for at least an hour or two when she suddenly tripped over something in her path.
End Flashback
‘That’s when I found Sesshoumaru...’ Kagome thought to herself, remember how she had thought about whether she was going to leave him or not.
“Hellooooooo!! Kagome!” Inuyasha yelled into her ear, causing her to jump.
“What the...? Inuyasha! Don’t do that!” Kagome yelled after coming back from her stupor.
“You suddenly got really quiet.” Inuyasha replied calmly.
“Oh...” Kagome said, starting to rub her neck. ‘This thing is making me ichy!’
“What is that?” Inuyasha commented, pulling her hand away.
“Oh! Its nothing!” Kagome said, trying to cover it up.
“No it is NOT!! Now show me!” Inuyasha demanded, grabbing both of her hands in one of his while examining the scratch. Just then, Inuyasha picked up Sesshoumaru’s stench on her shoulder. In fact, he could smell it all over her! “What happened!?” ‘If this was Sesshoumaru’s doing, then this mark would mean...’ Inuyasha thought in shock.
End
I know, I know, I left it in a really weird spot...I don’t usually like cliffhangers either, but im starting to get a headache. Ill rite another chap. Soon, promise! Oh! And reviews would be nice...just saying... bubye!
