Chapter 2

 

“Sango, why do you have to go early to your math class? You're getting a really good grade in the class?” Kagome asked as they neared Sango's math classroom.

 

“Because no matter how much you explain it, it goes in one ear and out the other.”

 

“I was just asking. I am going to head to my own class new>” As she was leaving she heard to people yelling at each other from inside the classroom.

 

“Inu-Yasha, how much longer are you going to see that wench?” Sesshoumaru asked his little brother barely calm.

 

“Sesshoumaru, stop messing with my life! Don't you have your own to deal with? I mean I am talking about Rin. Why do still work here at this school? You have a daughter!” Inu-Yasha yelled towards Sesshoumaru who was moving towards the door of the classroom.

 

“So what I have a daughter? What the hell does that have to do with me teaching?” Sesshoumaru was surprised that he still sounded calm.

 

“You would think that anyone one with a kid wouldn't work at a boarding school as a math teacher!”

 

“Inu-Yasha you'll see why I still work here tomorrow, until then little brother try to calm down you have a class next period.” Sesshoumaru slid the door open to find Sango and Kagome with their mouths open looking at him.

 

“Umm, bye Sango. See you after class?” Kagome bit out blushing.

 

“Yeah, see you later.” Sango rushed by Sesshoumaru into her seat in the back of the classroom, as Kagome started going towards where her class was located. Sesshoumaru left Inu-Yasha's class room and started following Kagome.

 

“Wait Higarishi-san, I am sorry you had to hear that, my half-brother can be so dense sometimes.” Sesshoumaru tried to explain to Kagome. `Why am I explaining myself to a girl!?'

 

“It's alright I think. I mean I don't even really know what you were talking about s I can't comment about it.” Kagome told him shyly.

 

“My sister died a little less than a year ago.” Sesshoumaru started.

 

`That is so sad!' Kagome felt really bad.

 

“Yes, it was anyway not the point. When she died she asked me to take care of her daughter, Rin. Inu-Yasha thinks that me being unemployed would make m a better father to Rin. She's living with my father right now.”

 

“I guess that would be tough to hear, especially as a new parent,” Kagome condoled.

 

“Yes anyway Rin has turned five so she can start going here now. She is coming tomorrow.”

 

“I guess you're excited to see her it sounds like you haven't seen her in a while.” Kagome said.

 

“Yes I suppose I am. Higarishi-san why are you going here? Most people go their entire lives.” Sesshoumaru was gazing at her in wonder.

 

“My mother got remarried a short time ago, but he didn't like me.” `No more like he hated me, he hated girls.' “He thought that this would be a good environment for me to finish my education in.” `He wanted me away so that he could have Sonata to himself, to make him his son.' “He thinks that girls and boys should be educated in different ways so he pulled me out of public school. I guess it was for the best.”

 

“My father fells the same way about education, Inu-Yasha and I went to all boys schools since we were five.” Sesshoumaru looked at her down cast face. `I think there is something she's not telling me.'

 

`I think he know I'm not telling him something. But how can he. I have to act normal what if he finds out.' Kagome was thinking.

 

“Here we are.” Sesshoumaru stated as he open the door to his classroom. “Well, do you have any questions about your home-work or something?”

 

“Hai, can you explain the cpctc rule to me? I just don't get it.”

 

“Sure.” Sesshoumaru started drawing diagrams in her notebook to explain it.

 

:: RING::

 

Sesshoumaru taught the lesson, his brain focused on Kagome. `Why can't I stop thinking about her?' “Anyone have any questions?”

 

“Yes, I do Sess-kun. I was wondering why you don't return any of my messages I left you.”

 

“Class, are their any questions pertaining to mathematics?” Sesshoumaru asked completely ignoring Kikyo. “None, alright. You guys can work on your homework until class is over.” He turned off the overhead and sat down at his desk. He checked to make sure that everyone was working on their homework before puling out his laptop to start entering test grades for a different class.

 

Kikyo was extremely angry at Sesshoumaru at that moment. `How dare he ignore my question?' She thought as she drank some of her iced tea. `And I know that he was staring at that Higarishi girl all period! I have to do something!' Kikyo made her way to the front of the classroom her cup of Peet's ice tea still in hand.

 

“Kalumi-san do you have a question or are you just here to annoy me?” Sesshoumaru asked not glancing up.

 

“No, I just wanted to say that if I can't have you no-one else can.”

 

“Kalumi-san, what do you mean no-one else can have me?' Sesshoumaru asked still looking down.

 

“I mean I'll make your little tramps life miserable.”

 

“I was not aware that I had employed a tramp so please explain to me what you are talking about.” Sesshoumaru told Kikyo sounding bored.

 

“You'll see Sess-kun. You'll be mine so never forget that your non-one else's.”

 

“What ever petty issues you have with your classmates, try not to include me in them.” Sesshoumaru said.

 

Kikyo laughed as the bell rang. She started to make her way towards her stuff before turning around and dumping her iced tea on to Kagome.

 

“What the hell was that for Kikyo?! What did I do to you?!' Screeched a drenched Kagome.

 

“Take it as a warning. Stay away from my man, Higarishi1” Kikyo strutted out of the classroom like a queen.

 

`Eugh, I am so sticky, I hate her so much. Why would she do this? She must have mental problems or something!' ”Eeekk!!! My homework!” (a/n: her homework got wet to)

 

“Higarishi-san you don't have to turn that assignment in. I saw that you were almost finished so do not worry about it.' Sesshoumaru said smiling.

 

`Oh my gosh! he's smiling he never smiles! Stay calm!' “Thank you Taisho-kun!” `that wasn't calm!'

 

“It's nothing. Rin is coming tomorrow at one if you want to meet her.”

 

“Of course I do!” Kagome completely forgot about Kikyo's warning.

 

“Sayonara, Higarishi-san.”

 

“Sayonara.”
