Chapter 3

 

Oops! ... I did it again

I played with your heart, got lost in the game

Oh baby, baby

Oops! ...You think I'm in love

That I'm sent from above

I'm not that innocent

 

Kagome woke with a start and immediately hit the snooze button on her alarm clock. `Aghh, I am so tired.' she thought with a yawn. `Why am I so tired this morning? I went to bed early. Where's Sango she's usually here when I wake up. Would she abandon me here alone? What if she was kidnapped or something?' Kagome was beginning to become panicked. `Where would any one be at this-` Kagome's thoughts were quickly cut off as the door to her and Sango's room was slammed open.

 

“Sango, what's the matter did Houshi-san try to grope you again? Where were you?”

 

“……….”

“Sango you can tell me what's wrong I'll understand! Talk to me!!!” Kagome was completely panicked at this point.

 

“Peet's ran out of coffee this morning! And Starbucks is to far away!” Sango sobbed.

 

“Sango, we can make coffee here.” Kagome soothed. “We have some.”

 

“It's not the same! We always make it too weak! How can Peet's run out of coffee.” While Sango was muttering to herself, Kagome quickly changed into her school uniform.

 

“Come on Sango we can walk to Starbucks from here. It's not that far only a mile or so, and we can make back in time for first period.” Kagome dragged Sango out of the school, and all the way to Starbucks. (With Sango still muttering) After Sango had gotten her self together, Kagome checked her watch. “Umm, Sango what time does Houshi-san's class start?”

 

“What? Oh at ten. Why what time is it?” Sango looked around to see if there was a clock on the walls.

 

“It's 9:50!” Kagome checked her watch again.

 

“Oh, we are so screwed!” Kagome and Sango rushed out of Starbucks and started sprinting towards their school.

 

“We didn't make it, no one is outside. They must be in their classrooms already!”

 

“Yeah, that's the only possible reason that they are not out here!”

 

They entered the science classroom together but nobody was there except for Miroku, who was sitting at his desk.

 

“Ladies, I know you love my class and my company but you don't have classes on Saturdays this month because finals are coming up.”

 

“NANI?!” Kagome and Sango screeched, and then glared at each other.

 

“I am sorry, I guess. It's your fault too.” Kagome huffed, still tired from running.

 

“Ladies, do you want to see what you got on yesterdays tests?”

 

“Yes.” They said in unison.

 

“I can't believe you did better than me, I studied more!”

 

“Yes, Sango.” Kagome spoke nonchalantly.

 

“Sango, dear. You can always do extra credit.” Miroku said as he put her hand on her butt.

 

::SLAP::

 

“Hentai! Let's go Kagome!”

 

“Don't forget your food web drawings are do Monday.” Miroku said as if his face didn't hurt.

 

Slam. Sango marched off.

 

“Let's go get lunch.”

 

“It's only 10:30, though. Sango.”

 

“So what?”

 

Later

 

Kagome made her way to the library realizing that she couldn't study with all the ruckus that Sango was making.

 

 

“Hello, Higurashi-san.”

 

“Oh, hello, Taisho-san. How are you?”

 

“Fine, I suppose. Higurashi-san do you wish to go with me to the airport, to pick up Rin?” `Why did I ask her to go with me? What is my problem I cannot control myself when I am around her.'

 

“Yes, that would be fun.” `I wonder what is wrong he wouldn't usually ask a student to go with him anywhere.”

 

“Follow me.” Sesshoumaru and Kagome made their way silently towards his car and drove to the airport.

 

`He is being so quiet, should I say something? I am so nervous about meeting Rin. What if she doesn't like me?'

 

`It is unusual for her to be quiet for so long. Maybe she's nervous about meeting Rin? I think Rin will love her. I kind of feel sorry for Kagome. NO! NO, NOT Kagome! Higurashi-san. Think Higurashi-san. In my own brain do I have to call her Higurashi-san? She won't mind here if I call her Kagome.' The more Sesshoumaru thought as he tightened his grip the steering wheel.

 

“Taisho-san, umm, I think that you might be hurting the steering wheel. Are you alright you seem tense.” Kagome said, worried. `I wonder what he's thinking about.'

 

`Is he mad at me did I do something to anger him?'

 

“I guess I am just tired I don't mean to be testy.”

 

“That's okay.”

 

“We're here.” Sesshoumaru pulled into the airport parking lot, then they went to the terminal.

 

“SESSHOUMARU-SAMA!” A little girl appeared out of no-where and attached herself to Sesshoumaru's pants. “Rin missed you so much!”

 

“She's been talking about seeing you since the last time you phoned to talk to her.”

 

“Hello, father.” At this Kagome looked up from Rin's head and saw what looked like an older version of Sesshoumaru.

 

“Who is this lovely lady beside you?” Sesshoumaru's father asked of him.

 

“This is one of my student's, Higurashi Kagome. Higurashi-san this is my father Taisho-”

 

“I just go by Taisho.”

 

“Pleasure to meet you Taisho-san.”

 

“Like-wise my dear. Now let's get lunch I am starved.”
