Bittersweet

“You are a most demanding task master.” Ang Chi muttered.
“Ang Chi you must concentrate.” I demanded.
He sighed as he brought his blade up and readied himself. I stepped back and brought my fang around and it struck his katana with force. He managed to block it but he looked shaken. I nodded and stepped back again and bowed.
“I think that is enough for now.” I said standing and a wave of dizziness hit me.
He came to side and held my arm. He scented me and looked puzzled. I smiled as I straightened.
“You are pupped?” he asked surprised.
“Hai. I find it harder to mask the further along I am.” I responded.
“My grandsire is the father?” he asked.
“You must not think of him as your grandsire. I have adopted you and that means you are my pup.” I said looking at him.
“So you are saying that this pup is my sibling.” He said confused.
“Hai. I am not asking you to forget your mother Ang Chi but you have family now. We can be a little bit smothering. The West and Tekeshi have been tied for a millennium. You are loved and wanted here.” I said holding his arm firmly.
“We hid mostly. It hurt me terribly that my sire did not want me.” He said looking away.
“I know him well enough to know that he thinks he is right. I do not know the circumstances of your conception but I know he had a tendency for promiscuity.” I said.
“I hate him.” He muttered.
“I am not happy with him myself. Come I shall like you to meet my sons and daughter.” I stated.
He followed me and I looked back at him. He was going to be a stunning male. We stepped outside and I took his hand.
“We are leaving the palace?” he asked surprised.
“Hai but we will be back very soon. My own sire has been in China aiding our allies there.” I stated.
“I still do not understand why you have taken me in.” he muttered.
“Pups in my family are cherished. Can you understand it is not out of pity but you are kin? This should have been done more than two years ago.” I said firmly.
“You treat me as if you birthed me.” He said looking at me.
“You are mine now and will be treated as such.” I said with a small smile.
I transformed into my sphere and headed north.
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// /
We appeared a day and a half later and the poor boy was overwhelmed. He would eventually attain all of his abilities. Tekeshi was busy preparing things and I knew that the arrangement that he and Naraku were working out was going to work. I walked up the steps that led to the main part of the castle. Naraku sat rubbing his temples trying to keep up with two inu toddlers and a crawling Mizuki. He looked up at me and growled.
“I want ten more servants to keep up with the twins! Kazuo has escaped twice and Hiroto has taught Mizuki how to teleport! I am thinking we may need to bind their abilities.” He snapped.
“Hiroto can teleport? Mizuki can too?” I asked in shock.
“That tells me that their hahaoya surely can and who are you?” Naraku asked Ang Chi.
“I am Ang Chi.” He said raising his chin.
I showed Naraku everything via telepathy and he nodded at me. Ang Chi looked uncomfortable and I put a hand on his shoulder. Kazuo and Hiroto came to me as I sat and Kazuo decided he needed to sit in Ang Chi's lap. The youth looked bewildered and I laughed.
“Haha who that?” Hiroto pointed at Ang Chi.
“That is hahaoya's new pup. That is Ang Chi.” I said smiling.
“Hello.” The youth answered.
Kazuo proceeded to pull his hair and Ang Chi winced. Mizuki crawled over and started chanting `haha' over and over. I looked at Naraku and he smirked.
“You are proud of her that she can control her yoki.” I observed.
“Hai but it is annoying. Mayu had to sleep because they are driving us both crazy. I truly never imagined myself in charge of pups before. I almost wish at times to battle your uncle or sire again!” he said.
“I shall bring them to the palace and give you respite. I wonder if Tekeshi would care for your help.” I asked.
“He actually mentioned it. Come I will transport us back. When is your mutt father going to return from the mainland?” he asked.
“Naraku could you please try and be a little more respectful?” I asked nicely.
“Let me think on that for a moment. No!” he said sarcasticlly.
I growled at him and stood. Kazuo clung at Ang Chi and the boy picked him up. Naraku looked on and nodded. He picked up Mizuki who proceeded to yank on her chichi's hair.
“Can you transport all of us?” I asked in surprise.
“Hai.” He said with a smirk.
“You are going to enjoy being pup free for a little while.” I said smiling.
“Hai. I need to wake Mayu.” He said going to get my former nursemaid.
“Are you okay?” I asked Ang Chi.
“I am just realizing that you have a large family.” He responded.
“You have a large family now. You have not met all my siblings.” I said smiling.
“I am used to being alone.” He said.
“We will talk back at the palace.” I stated.
“Hai.” He mumbled.
Naraku came back with a sleepy looking Mayu. I smiled at her and she looked sheepish. We all took hands and we disappeared into Naraku's miasma cloud. We reappeared at the palace gates. My hanyou moved forward and handed me our daughter and kissed my lips softly. He nodded and withdrew.
“Come all. Hahaoya as more disputes to settle.” I stated.
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// /
I sat at the desk writing to my father and accounting the current events when Ang Chi came and sat by me. I looked up and smiled at him. He returned it and his month here seemed to have calmed him. Tekeshi had been back briefly and I knew that he and Naraku were busy setting up some kind of residence.
“What is on your mind?” I asked him.
“What is my station? I have no idea what is to become of me.” he asked me.
“Tekeshi will see to your inheritance. You are the legitimate heir of Manchuria but as long as Katashi is Lord that will be in dispute.” I stated.
“I want to still dislike you but I cannot. I want you to be proud of me.” He admitted.
“Ang Chi you need to be proud of yourself. My uncle had been orphaned younger than you are now and he had a very hard life. My own sire and his brother do not get along well and I wish for you to be happy. That is all any of us can truly want. I am proud of you.” I stated.
“When will I be considered mature?” he asked.
“Normally between seventy five and a hundred summers. You will not be permitted to take a mate before then. I suggest you keep relationships with females quite cordial but not intimate; I will not allow it. It seems strict but until you can fully grasp all the ramifications of your behavior then you have no business engaging in intimacy. I have brought problems on this house because of things I have done. I have learned from it.” I stated.
“You are strict.” He muttered.
“Has a particular female caught your eye?” I asked raising a brow.
“No!” he practically yelled.
He was at the stage that the opposite sex was becoming highly attractive but still had a need to deny it. Youshiro was now forty five summers and pushing the envelope with both of my parents. My mother had actually come unhinged when he challenged one of my father's edicts.
“Exactly how old are you?” I asked him.
“I am forty eight summers.” He answered.
“I see. Well you have awhile yet to worry on most of these things. I know you can read in Han, Mandarin, and Japanese.” I stated.
“Hai I write and speak all three fluently.” He answered.
“You will learn Manchu, Cantonese, and Russian as well.” I advised him.
“Why?” he asked in an annoyed tone.
“Because those are the main languages spoken on the continent that you will come across. You will also be trained in the way of the warrior. You will meet me in the dojo every morning at after your morning meal. Jaken will teach you the geography of Asia as well as mathematics.” I said.
“Why must I learn all that?” he asked in proper petulant pup fashion.
“Because I have stated so. You are my concern so this is what you learn. You are inu royalty and as such you have to have knowledge.” I said smiling.
“Maybe I should like being an orphan.” He said pouting.
“I am sorry. You should not have attacked me then.” I said smirking.
“You are a task master!” he snapped.
“Hai I am. This was all taught to me as well. The twins and Mizuki will be taught the same things too. I told you that you are my pup now.” I said standing.
“My mother did not require this of me.” He growled.
“I understand but you are inu royalty and I know Tekeshi concurs because it has already been discussed. Now enjoy your next few days of freedom. When my father returns he will take over your dojo training as I will be getting too far along to do you much good.” I said moving slowly.
“Are you well?” he asked concerned.
“Hai. I am just tired.” I stated.
“I shall take you back to your chambers.” He said taking my arm.
“Hai that would be good. Your life is not so bad here is it?” I asked softly.
“No but you do require a lot.” He said in a snippy tone.
“Youshiro has to do the same things.” I said.
“He is arrogant.” He stated.
“Hai he is. I shall speak to him.” I said as we reached my chambers.
“May I stay awhile?” he asked.
“Hai. I will be sleeping.” I replied.
“I understand.” he replied.
I went to my futon and lay down. He went and sat against a wall. I looked at him and jerked my head and he came over to me.
“Go lay on the other side.” I murmured.
“I do not want to disturb you.” He replied.
“It is alright. Just keep to your side I have been known to kick.” I said with a smile.
He went to the other side and curled up and fell asleep. My heart broke for Ang Chi. He was lonely and I decided to work harder to include him in our lives. I was furious with Jing and Katashi; he had been used in a power struggle and I had killed the only family he had ever known. I got up slowly and went to Mayu. She had the twins and Mizuki down for their naps. I picked up one twin and her the other. I laid Kazuo next to Ang Chi and Hiroto came next. The curled up next to their new brother and slept. Mizuki still slept in a cradle. Mayu smiled down at the scene as did I. I nodded then I lay back down. I fell asleep with a soft smile on my lips.
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
I was again in the study when my father arrived. I stood up and bowed. He was healing from wounds and I raised a brow.
“I dispatched many of the foul beasts.” He said smugly.
“You wanted to kill something.” I said smirking.
“Hai. The state is in order?” he asked.
“Hai. You are more than welcome to the work.” I said in a tired voice.
“Where is your adopted pup at?” he asked.
“Jaken is instructing him in his mathematics lessons.” I replied.
“Hn.” He responded.
“Mother is back?” I asked.
“Hai.” He responded.
“His name is Ang Chi.” I said as I followed him to the library.
My sire went to the study to judge for himself the character of the boy. I was surprised to see my mother there with Yoshiko in her lap. Youshiro was in the corner reading and looking highly annoyed. Ang Chi dropped his scroll and the kappa fell prostrate before my father.
“Milord Sesshomaru!” Jaken screeched.
I rolled my eyes as did my father. The youth stood and gave my father a reverent bow. I could see that Jaken was filling his head with tales of grandeur about my father.
“Rise.” He commanded the boy.
Youshiro snorted and I looked over at him. My mother gave him a threatening look and he went back to his reading.
“Lord Sesshomaru-sama I am Ang Chi.” He said with downcast eyes.
“Hn.” My sire mumbled.
My father looked around and at the youth and motioned for him to follow him. Ang Chi looked at me in a panic and I nodded for him to go. Youshiro again snorted and my eyes were threatening to flash red. My adopted pup followed my sire out the door and I turned on Youshiro.
“You spoiled rotten self righteous little bastard!” I snarled at him.
“What?” he said defensively
“You have no idea what he has been through!” I said coming within inches of my brother's face.
“His mother tried to kill you, really brilliant bringing him here.” He retorted.
I slapped his face and he looked at me as if I had gutted him. He looked at our mother and she shrugged. She stood up and left. I grabbed my brother's throat but did not squeeze.
“I am tired of your jealousy and anger. Do not think to take out your feelings of inadequacy out on Ang Chi. You have a problem with me then you come to me, do you understand me LITTLE BROTHER?” I snarled.
“Hai!” he snapped.
“You will do well if you remember who your betters are little boy.” I said in a nasty tone.
“Hai my Lady.” He said in an angry tone.
I left and went after my mother. She was in her study feeding Yoshiko. I entered quietly and sat down.
“You did well to correct him.” She said.
“Thank you for allowing me to do so.” I said.
“He needs to learn respect and manners. It may take you beating his ass in the dojo to wizen him up.” She commented.
“Sounds good to me.” I mumbled.
“He is a sweet boy. He has become attached to you. You allowing him to curl up with your other pups is making him feel secure.” She said.
“I am glad that he is calmer.” I said.
“You have been allowing all your pups on your futon?” she asked.
“I want him to feel apart of us. I have come to care for him.” I replied softly.
“He feels it. You are spoiling your boys.” She said smiling.
“They will be fine.” I said smiling at her.
“Your father and Ang Chi are in the dojo.” She said
“Thank you mother.” I said getting up.
“I saw Tekeshi in China. I believe he is going to make a move against Jin.” She said.
“I have asked him not to.” I said.
“I thought I should warn you. I felt no evidence of Vlad but I feel certain he will strike within the year.” She replied.
“I inflicted a lot of damage.” I stated.
“You only succeeded in making him desire you for other reasons my dear. You showed him that you equal his power and he will covet you as his equal.” She said.
“I do not care if he wants me served up on a platter, he will die by my hand.” I said with a low growl.
Yoshiko pulled away from my mother and grinned at me. I smiled back at her and stroked her cheek.
“She is going to be trouble.” My mother murmured.
“Hai I have seen her crawling after father. She too can change form I have seen.” I remarked.
“Hai she can and she will cry chichi over and over again till I have to bring her to him. You just followed him around and sat in his lap. She is more demanding.” She said smiling down at her.
“I know Father is enjoying it.” I said.
“Hai he does. This whole clan is keeping him busy.” She replied.
I bowed and went to the dojo. Ang Chi was sweating but actually smiling. My father was working him hard but I heard veiled praise and the boy was beaming under it. He was getting better and he saw me. My sire and Ang Chi stopped and bowed to me. I bowed back and my father stepped past me.
“This Sesshomaru will resume his lessons with you in the morrow.” He stated formally.
“Hai my Lord!” he said enthusiastically.
My sire nodded to me and I inclined my head. I went to the wall of practice weapons and fingered the hilts.
“He is very good is he not?” I asked him.
“Hai incredibly good.” He said happily.
“I am glad you think so. He will train you to be the best.” I replied.
“I am sorry that I tried to kill you. I had been alone for so long.” He said looking away.
“You were trying to be honorable. There is no shame in that.” I said to him.
“The thing is you have been better to me than anyone.” He said sheepishly.
“Come you have had enough lessons for one day.” I said taking his arm.
“You are a good mother.” He remarked.
“I am not sure if the pups will say that when they reach your age.” I said laughing.
“Hai they will say it.” He murmured.
We walked along and we reached my chambers. Ang Chi had settled into my suite of rooms. My chambers consisted of five large rooms that served to house my family. He went to another room and settled down with a book he was reading. I again felt guilt that my actions had led him to losing his mother. I was feeling terribly tired again and I wondered if I needed more of my aunt's blood. I decided that a trip to Edo would be in order. I went to Ang Chi and motioned for him to follow me.
“Do you have a true form?” I asked.
“Hai.” He answered sheepishly.
“Good. We are leaving to see my aunt. Have you been taught to hunt properly?” I asked.
“I hunt on instinct.” He said shrugging.
“Come. We shall take down some large prey together.” I said.
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
We had hunted several times and I transported us the rest of the way by my energy sphere. It took us a few days to reach the village. He had rested his head in my lap while he slept and my heart was captured. I had fallen for this boy and I would protect him as fiercely as a natural mother would. I had come to despise Katashi again and I wished he had enough gumption to face me. I wished Tekeshi would come back soon as well as Naraku. I missed them terribly but I knew what they did benefited us as a whole. I walked into Edo followed by Ang Chi. I went to the dwelling and knocked on the door. Daichi answered and I smiled at the neko prince.
“Hello Lady Asuna!” he said in his deep and soft voice.
“I take it you and Akemi are visiting?” I asked.
“Hai.” He responded.
I moved past him and my charge followed my quietly. My aunt was serving ramen soup again and she rolled her at me in amusement. Daichi sat down and attacked it.
“A youki after Uncle Yasha's own heart.” I said laughing.
“Don't knock it wench! This is good stuff!” my uncle growled.
My aunt mouthed thank you and I understood her meaning. She was happy to see her daughter happy again. My uncle looked up and stared at Ang Chi.
“Who are you?” he asked roughly.
“I am Ang Chi my Lord.” He said.
“Ain't any lord kid. Pull up a cushion and eat.” My uncle ordered.
I smiled and nodded at him to do so. After he was seated my aunt set some chopsticks and a bowl in front of him. I went to him and touched his shoulder. I bent down and whispered in his ear.
“They are family, be not afraid.”
“Hai.” He mumbled.
I followed my aunt up the stairs and she motioned for me to sit.
“Who is he?” she asked quietly.
“I have formally adopted him. That is Katashi's son from his encounter with Jing. He actually attacked me in Toyama and I knocked him out. He is still so young and I did kill his mother.” I said shrugging.
“Honey it is obvious that he adores you!” she said smiling.
“He is actually very sweet and good. His parents made a mess of his life. He is my son now and I intend to do what Katashi could not.” I answered.
“What is that?” she asked.
“Love him.” I said flatly.
“I am so proud of you!” she cried.
“Aunt Kagome please it was the right thing to do. I am in need of your blood I believe. I am exhausted again and I have been sleeping more and more.” I stated.
“I wondered if once was gonna do it.” She commented.
“Is the flea around?” I asked.
“I can get word to him. He will come for you.” She said smiling.
“Really? I barely know Myoga.” I said.
“He said you have VERY tasty blood.” She said laughing.
“Akemi told you?” I asked.
“Hai. I cannot tell Inuyasha. He will be livid. He would not forgive himself for having killed the dragon.” She stated.
“He chose to die that day Aunt Kagome to keep the timeline intact. I think he felt as though he stole happiness with Akemi for centuries. I think it was his way of giving her happiness with Daichi.” I said.
“I misjudged him and I never met him truly. I am ashamed of myself.” She said looking down.
“Ryukotsusei it seemed was an honorable and great youki. I know he loved Akemi desperately. I have met Ryuu and he reminds me of Uncle Yasha.” I said.
My aunt closed her eyes and nodded. She hated that the dragon had died but knew Akemi had been truly and blissfully happy. She had a second chance at happiness with Daichi and that seemed to satisfy her. I watched her and she nodded. Akemi came up the steps and nodded at me.
“Need some miko blood cousin?” she asked.
“Hai.” I said in a tired voice.
“Well Myoga should be here soon. Where are Tekeshi and Naraku?” Akemi asked softly.
“I assume in China.” I said shrugging.
“Well that boy down there is as sweet as can be. Father actually is talking to him.” She said laughing.
I laid down on the futon and decided to take a nap. The overwhelming exhaustion was taking me again. I was not even halfway through the pregnancy. I fell into oblivion.
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// /
I was in near blackness and I felt dread. I knew this feeling and I looked around. I felt his presence and I searched for him.
“Not yet my little assassin. I feel you and I will take you back!” he snarled around me.
“You are projecting to me!” I said astounded.
“You seriously did not think you were only one with that power?” he asked.
“Leave me alone. You will die by my hand if you do not leave me alone.” I snapped.
“Little assassin you will be mine. Rest up because I will get you when you least expect it.” He said.
I felt him then I did not. I gasped and sat up. I noticed that there was a burning feeling in my veins and I was surrounded by the whole of the house. Ang Chi looked down at me in concern and I knew I had to look frightened. I stood up and I was feeling terrible dread overcome me. The memories of the castle in Wallachia overcame me and I sagged. My uncle caught me and I looked at him.
“He is back. I did not injure him enough. He is back!” I cried.
“Suna who?” he asked.
“Vlad.” I said in fear.
“I thought that you had defeated him?” Kagome said.
“No I just injured him.” I said shaking my head.
“Honey we will get you home.” She said.
“No I will go.” I said standing and steeling myself.
I went down the stairs and Ang Chi followed me. I went out of the house and toward the cave. I called for Naraku. I kept calling with my mind when he appeared suddenly. He looked at me and he knew. His face held a terrible fury and he pulled me to him. Ang Chi was confused and I reached for him. Naraku looked at us both and he grabbed the youth and we disappeared into the miasma. When we reappeared we were in a lavish castle. I looked around and I heard Tekeshi walking towards us. He looked at me and I looked frightened.
“The uppyr?” he asked.
“Hai.” I responded.
“You are safe here. Ang Chi my boy follow me.” Tekeshi said.
“I want to stay with Lady Asuna.” He said stubbornly.
“My son I have a need to speak with her privately. It will be well.” He assured the young inu.
“I want to stay with her!” he said in an angry tone,
“Tekeshi allow him to stay.” I said calmly.
The former Manchu Lord looked peeved but nodded. Naraku seemed intrigued by the young inu's loyalty. I went and sat on a low bench. I looked up at my two mates and they both held their fury in check.
“He projected his spirit to me. He is recovering faster than I expected.” I said.
“One of us will stay with you at all times. Would your parents mind if the pups stayed with them?” Tekeshi asked.
“No they would not mind in the least.” I said.
“Ang Chi I want you to go back to the West.” Tekeshi said firmly.
“No.” he replied.
“I will brook no more argument son!” he said in an angry tone.
“I will not leave her! You will have to force me.” Ang Chi said in defiance.
“Ang Chi, this has become a dangerous situation and I could not live with myself if you were harmed in trying to defend me.” I said looking at the youth.
“You speak of honor and you ask me to abandon you now?” he asked.
“Hai. I am responsible for you and I will not see harm come to you. I ask you to do as you are bid my son.” I said softly.
He stiffened and I knew it was because I referred to him as my son. He was not reacting badly just protectively.
“I will do as you ask.” He said.
“Good. Go with Naraku back to the West and ask my mother to return here.” I asked him.
“Hai my Lady.” He bowed.
Naraku touched his shoulder but Ang Chi pulled away and came to me and hugged me fiercely. I hugged him back. He pulled away and then went back to Naraku. They disappeared into the miasma and Tekeshi looked down at me.
“You have stolen his heart aijou. He loves you as his mother now. You have done amazing things for him.” He said with a smile.
“He is truly a good boy Tekeshi. Katashi is a fool for denying him.” I muttered.
“Ah my son. He and I are to have a reckoning and I feel now is as good a time as any.” He replied.
“You are going to face him now?” I asked in shock.
“Hai. It seems prudent.” He said taking my hand.
“You are involving me in this?” I asked.
“No not exactly. I do need to keep you near though.” He said lifting my chin.
He pressed his lips to mine and I melted against him. He pulled away from the embrace and looked down at me with smoldering green eyes.
“Kamis Asuna. I love you do you know that?” he asked.
“Hai I know that. You know I love you?” I asked him.
“Hai.” He mumbled.
“Let us go and do what you need to do. Where are you all the time?” I asked.
“I have lands all over China aijou. I have so much that needs tending; that is why I suggested we all stay together. Frankly, I needed Naraku to help administer the lands.” He admitted.
“Then it is a perfect solution.” I said.
“Hai.” He replied.
He pulled me to him and we teleported to He Gang and I grimaced. It was going to be a major ruckus. Tekeshi looked around and it seemed he was remembering. He had brought us outside of the palace. My mate moved forward with purpose and I stood rooted near the tree I was standing next to.
“Are you coming?” he asked amused.
“Are you insane?” I asked him.
“Aijou I cannot have you here as a sitting duck. Naraku will have my head and I would have my head. Now do you wish me to be headless?” he asked lightly.
“You are insane. You and I both know that after he picks himself up off the floor he will be furious at you and me.” I replied.
“You think I am afraid of my own son?” he asked me.
“No I imagine you could best him as my own sire bests me. He is going to be vengeful.” I stated.
“To hell with him. He is an idiot as we both know. It saddens me to think that he is that way but so it is. I told you I would pound some sense into him.” Tekeshi remarked.
“So be it. Expect me to get out of the way.” I said.
“Hai. I imagine he and I are going to fight.” He said with a gleam in his eye.
I followed behind him and shook my head. Tekeshi walked straight up to the gate and the soldier nearly fell onto his backside in shock.
“I have a need to speak with my son.” He said.
“My Lord? You are a ghost?” he asked in shock.
I hid a smile and the soldier looked at me. His eyes widened and he opened the gate.
“You might want to close your mouth, flys might settle in.” I said softy to the soldier.
“Is that really Lord Tekeshi?” the inu asked in awe.
“Hai it is.” I said.
“Asuna please come.” Tekeshi called after me.
I moved and kept a little distance between myself and Tekeshi. He looked back at me and I could tell he was amused. Everywhere the servants and soldiers alike stopped and stared at the former Manchu Lord as he walked through the Winter Palace as if he had been there everyday the past couple of centuries. I lowered my head and hid a smile. Tekeshi was headed straight for the dojo and I still hung back.
“Damnit Asuna! Please keep up.” He hissed.
“Alright.” I said catching up.
He reached the dojo and slid open the door. Katashi looked up from his sparring and dropped his fang. His eyes were widened and disbelief evident on his face. He looked past Tekeshi and saw me. He moved forward slowly.
“Father?” he asked in total shock.
“Hai my son and we need to talk NOW.” Tekeshi ordered.
“You are dead!” he exclaimed.
“No I am not dead. I decided to quit while I was ahead. You have much to account for.” He said to his son.
“Excuse me?” he asked again in disbelief.
“I am going to the library and I suggest you make all haste and meet me there or I will drag your ass there myself.” Tekeshi growled.
Tekeshi lightly took my arm and I actually blushed. Katashi looked at me and sudden understanding crossed his features. He looked beyond furious and stalked ahead of us.
“He will tantrum for a little while.” Tekeshi whispered to me.
“You are enjoying this.” I whispered back.
“Hai.” He laughed quietly.
Katashi was already in the library and he was pacing. Tekeshi and I entered and I went and found a vacant corner.
“No you have something to do with this! You face me!” Katashi said growling.
I moved back and Tekeshi hit his son across the face with some force.
“Do not ever speak to her again in such a fashion boy? Do you understand me?” Tekeshi said in a furious tone.
“You fucked my father? You are a whore!” Katashi yelled at me.
Tekeshi grabbed his son and shoved him backwards into some shelves. His eyes had gone red and I stepped back just a step.
“Do not ever speak to her again ever!” Tekeshi snarled.
“Where have you been Father? Obviously busy.” Katashi retorted.
“She has nothing to do with your behavior Katashi.” My mate snapped.
“My behavior? You made everyone think you were dead. I know not for what but there it is.” He snarled.
“What I did was for my reasons. You were old enough to take the title I thought.” He snapped back.
“Sheng needed you. Did you know he was dead? Did you know that he had her too?” Katashi said in a horrible fury.
“I know everything Katashi. I also know why Asuna ended her union with you. You continue to deny your son.” Tekeshi snapped.
“What I did or did not do is no concern of yours. You walked away from your own son…how is that any different?” he said shaking.
“You were supposedly an adult. The pup you sired is a good boy.” Tekeshi said backing away.
“How would you know?” Katashi asked.
“I have adopted him Katashi.” I said softly.
“You are a fool Asuna.” He snapped at me.
Tekeshi hit his son square in the jaw.
“I told you do not speak to her. I told you to speak to me.” Tekeshi demanded.
“I see. How long have you been rutting the whore? Seems she has gone through every male in this family. Who was first hmmm? Shall we compare memories and see if she moans the same!” Katashi said in extreme sarcasm.
“You have no understanding of my life. I do not owe you an explanation for anything. You however have much to speak for.” Tekeshi snarled.
“Did you love my mother?” Katashi asked in a harsh whisper.
“I cared for her but no I did not love her. She and I were a political alliance in order to conceive you and nothing more. I have only loved one onna.” He remarked.
“I suppose that one onna is her.” He said furiously.
“Hai. I have only loved her for most of my life.” Tekeshi stated then sat.
I warmed at his words but kept my mouth wisely shut.
“I suppose you want your title and lands back.” Katashi said in a dangerous tone.
“I care not one wit for your lands. They have always been for you. My lands were lost in the One Great War. I however want you to make your son your heir as is proper. You screwed around half your life and begot a pup. He did not ask for your sorry ass as his father. Your actions have consequences. Ang Chi is a good boy and deserves his birthright.” Tekeshi said tightly.
“I was not told of his birth or nothing until ten years ago. I had no chance to raise him the way I chose and I sure as hell was not letting that shape shifting bitch a chance at my lands!” Katashi snapped.
“You have known all this time and made no effort to find your son. His shape shifting bitch mother has been dead for some time at the hand of the onna that you disgraced.” Tekeshi snapped.
Katashi snarled in a fury and stared at me. I knew he was jealous and hurt. I had completely walked away from him and into the arms of his father.
“I will not acknowledge him especially now. When you walked away from us I was determined to never see him.” Katashi said to me.
“Ang Chi does not deserve your ire Katashi. He has had a rough time because of you and Jing. I made his life worse unknowingly.” I stated.
Katashi growled at me and Tekeshi stood between us. He looked downright scary at the moment.
“I can depose you if you that is how you will be. Many of the soldiers still would follow me and not you. I have no wish to take from you but by the Kamis I will.” Tekeshi threatened.
“I am legitimate here Father. Do you really think I would give up my lands? I have ruled for two centuries.” Katashi said with a nasty smirk.
“When did you turn into a self indulgent little prick?” Tekeshi asked furiously.
“When did you turn into a mate stealing ass?” Katashi asked him.
“She was mine long before she ever belonged to you.” Tekeshi said in a very quiet tone.
Katashi looked at me and again understanding flitted across his features.
“You are the one. You are the one he wrote about.” Katashi said in shock.
I did not acknowledge his words but looked away. I was angry at him still and I refused to dignify his words.
“Tell me Asuna!” Katashi snarled.
“Katashi.” Tekeshi said in a growl.
“I carry the soul of the Taisho's twin Katashi. Your sire was betrothed to Sorami long ago. I met him after I had dissolved our union but for him it has been centuries.” I said softly.
“You are disgusting you know that?” he said coming for me.
Tekeshi grabbed him and threw him across the room. Katashi stood and dusted himself off. He looked at me with utter hatred. Tekeshi held my arm and the son scoffed at his father.
“Do you enjoy my scraps Father? It seems you do. How could I have ever loved a soulless and faithless bitch!” he snarled at me.
Tekeshi went to go after him and I stood forward. I knew he had a right to his anger but I was not going to let Tekeshi fight for me.
“You are right in your anger but direct it at me and not your sire. I have never forgiven you for mating me knowing you made me YOUR whore. You see nothing wrong with your actions and you further add insult by denying a more than worthy son of your attention and his birthright. I will give your son a birthright. We have no need of your worthless self. Whatever I have done pales in comparison to what you are doing now.” I stated in a calm but dark tone.
“Still as eloquent as ever. You carry now a sin of nature. I hope you die a miserable and painful death whore. You certainly have dealt out pain and misery wherever you go!” Katashi snarled at me.
Tekeshi jerked away from me and backhanded Katashi and pulled the fang that he had at one time bequeathed to his son. He pointed it at Katashi's throat.
“You are no son of mine. How dare you speak to her in such a manner? You were wrong and are still wrong. I have loved her for nearly a millennium. She owed you nothing and never mention Sheng again. He left knowing what you had turned into. He at least could admit his mistakes. I take responsibility for knowing of her past. I considered you of no consequence.” Tekeshi stated and sheathed the fang in his obi.
He gently grabbed my arm and led me away. I saw out of the corner of my eye that Katashi was stunned at his father's words. I wanted to say I was sorry that he hurt but I knew better. We teleported away and I was shaking a little. He held me close and nuzzled my neck.
“I accept you aijou. I learned to accept you along time ago. You fight yourself and your dual natures. Why do you think I bear no ill will or jealousy towards Naraku? I will tell you it is because he is the mate of your soul and I am the mate of your inu heart. Katashi never truly understood you as Naraku and I do. Sheng understood you but Jin never will. We love you because we are made to love you.” He said softly.
I closed my eyes at his words and knew them to be true. He put his hands to my belly and calm washed over me. I was scared and sad at the same time and he knew how to calm me always. I looked at him and he smiled gently.
“We accomplished nothing for Ang Chi except to infuriate Katashi.” I stated sourly.
“Did you mean it when you said you would give him a birthright?” Tekeshi said.
“Hai.” I stated.
“Well I could reclaim my lost territory in the North. I am the rightful ruler and I could choose to make Ang Chi my heir.” He stated.
“That land is not ruled truly. The ookami have vast tracts of territory but no real seat of power. Ayame is your grandniece; I do not see why you cannot reclaim your lost lands.” I stated a little excited.
“Well it seems that is what we shall do. What about this pup?” he asked concerned.
“Manchuria sounds good to me.” I said flatly.
“My. my you are an intelligent onna.” He said with a smile.
“Katashi is the Lord of He Gang, lower Manchuria as far as I see can be taken back.” I said with a shrug.
“The Summer Palace was my favorite.” He remarked.
“I say we consolidate the lands in China for Naraku and Mizuki.” I replied.
“Our family will rule most of China and Japan.” He said considering.
“Hai. It makes sense and it provides for all.” I stated.
“We will have to mobilize an army I imagine.” He said thinking.
“Hai but we are both seasoned warriors.” I concurred.
“Well then it looks as if we are going to build ourselves a small empire.” He stated.
“Do you think Katashi will ever understand?” I asked.
“No I do not. He is narrow minded.” He replied sadly.
“Come let us sleep.” I said.
“Hai.” He responded.
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
The darkness overwhelmed me and I looked around. He was again in my mind. I had learned to block some of my memories and he was angry.
-You are becoming stronger in such a short time my darling little assassin. You certainly did a number on me. - He purred in my mind.
-Obviously not enough. Too bad I was too weak to kill you.-I snapped.
-I told you it would take more than that to kill me. - He whispered.
-How is it you can speak with me this far?-I asked annoyed.
-Who said I was that far? - He murmured.
-I hate you! - I hissed.
-You say but you came alive under my tutelage. - He again purred.
-Go away! I do hate you and I wish you had died! - I snarled.
-We shall see will we not? - He whispered then his presence faded.
I sat up and I was drenched in sweat. I had not woken Tekeshi and I stood. We were in the castle in China. I stood at the window and knew fear again. I wanted to hunt him down. I did not want to wait for an attack. I was tired of feeling fear and I was tired of waiting. My thoughts drifted to my pups and my plans for their futures. I felt no guilt in taking back what had been taken from Tekeshi. I left the room and walked around the castle. It was beautiful and more simplistic like a Japanese castle. I imagined that Tekeshi had it built. I wondered at Naraku's absence and I wandered further in search of him. I peeked into different rooms and became concerned. He was not answering my calls; although he had been known to ignore me at times.
Hands were on me and I gasped. Those same hands caressed my breasts through the thin silk of my gown and I almost moaned. I felt dread overcome me and I fought against the intruder. I heard the chuckling and I threw the uppyr against a wall with my mind. I ran in the direction of my room and he grabbed my foot. I kicked him with my other and he grunted in pain. I figured out that he was not fully healed. I let my toxin seep to the tips of my claws and I slashed his arm. He snarled and managed to push me flat onto my back. He looked down at me and I could see his skin was still healing.
“You are as vicious as ever my dearest assassin. You are also as beautiful. I honestly think that I am falling for you.” He said chuckling.
“You disgust me!” I shouted.
“Shhhh my would be killer. You will wake the whole castle.” He whispered in a seductive tone.
I brought up my knee and connected with his groin and he grunted in tremendous pain. I threw him off physically. I screamed loudly and Vlad looked quite angry. My eyes flashed red and I willed a vase at him. It crashed and at that moment Tekeshi came into the hall. He pulled his recently acquired fang and Vlad snarled in anger.
“I can reach you any time. I have had your blood.” He snapped as he stood.
“You have not had mine trash.” Tekeshi growled.
Vlad took a long look at Tekeshi and it seemed he realized he could not best the both of us. I held onto Tekeshi's fang and Vlad actually fled. He was not stupid and he knew what I could do channeling my yoki.
“Why did you leave my side?” Tekeshi asked in annoyance.
“He pathed to me; I am sorry. He is cunning.” I replied.
“You will sleep with your fang in your hand from now on.” He commanded.
“Hai my Lord.” I said.
I called Naraku again with my mind and a moment passed and there he was. He looked concerned and I knew he had been blocked from coming here. It seemed that Vlad had his own form of barrier.
“I heard your call but I could not enter no matter how much I tried.” He said in frustration.
“Well my friend I have met the knave. He is cocky bastard.” Tekeshi said.
“He is ruthless.” Naraku confirmed.
“He is also not fully healed. He showed me where he came from; I did not recognize the land and his name was even more foreign.” I said.
“Why did you not say so before?” Naraku asked with a growl.
“I am sorry I did not think about it. Quite a few things have taken place since then.” I snapped.
“No fighting! Tell us aijou.” Tekeshi said softly.
“His real name is Eyal. I heard the name of Persians and Babylon.” I said.
“He is from there?” Tekeshi asked.
“Where is there?” Naraku asked.
“It is a very ancient area. Youki are in hiding but abundant there. Very old civilizations emerged from that area and it is said that is where ningen sprouted from.” Tekeshi replied.
“If he is from there should there not be clues to his demise perhaps?” I asked.
“Maybe. If he can get that close to you now I do not want to wait for him to regenerate.” Naraku remarked.
“I agree. I have been to this area that you saw Asuna and I say we go hunting.” Tekeshi said with an evil smirk.
“I need to let my father know what is going on Tekeshi. He does not know you live.” I remarked.
“Well then he needs to know.” Tekeshi replied.
“Go before the mutt and please send him my best wishes.” Naraku said sarcasticlly.
“Naraku!” I growled.
“Since you and her sire are on such friendly terms I suggest you stay here for a few minutes.” Tekeshi said amused.
“Hn.” Naraku muttered.
“Come Asuna.” Tekeshi said holding me close.
I glared at Naraku and he smirked at me. I wanted to throttle him for the moment. We disappeared and he waved. I was still growling when we appeared at the Western Palace.
“He is very amusing is he not?” Tekeshi laughed a little.
“It is not your sire that he betrayed a century before.” I said pulling away.
“Aijou they will never get along. You need to accept that and move on.” He said.
“Let us find my sire. I also want Ang Chi with us.” I said flatly.
“You are spoiling the boy.” Tekeshi remarked.
“Do not tell me I am spoiling him. I am thinking of his safety and that of the West. Katashi may lash out and I do not want him around to be a target.” I said heading to the study.
“Alright Asuna. You thoughts are sound but he will be in danger with us too.” Tekeshi said following me.
“I understand that Tekeshi but he was born a taiyouki.” I stated.
“Hai.” He said a little miffed.
I walked into the study and my father looked up. He stood immediately when he saw Tekeshi. He looked at me and I bowed.
“You are Lord Tekeshi.” My sire said bluntly.
“Lord Sesshomaru-sama.” Tekeshi said bowing.
“Hai. You were acquainted with the Taisho.” He said with a raised brow.
“Your sire was my closest friend until he passed. I honor his memory and his son.” Tekeshi said.
“Hn.” My father said sitting.
My sire looked at me expectantly and I knew my mother must have told him the news. My sire took it in stride. He was staring at me and I knew he was waiting for me to say something profound.
“The uppyr is back.” I stated.
“This Sesshomaru expected as such. You are going after him in your condition?” He asked me.
“I do not have a choice my Lord! He appeared in Lord Tekeshi's castle.” I said.
My father looked over at Tekeshi and judged the friend of his sire. There had been rumors it seemed that my father had believed for a long time. Tekeshi stayed respectful but I could sense his amusement as my father's perusal.
“You are more powerful than your sire. I fought side by side Touga for many years and I can say without a doubt that your yoki is greater.” Tekeshi said.
“I will drop all pretenses with a fellow Lord. Why is my daughter mated to you? I was told that you left Japan because of my mother.” My father asked bluntly.
“Your sire spread those rumors at my behest Lord Sesshomaru-sama. I will be blunt as Asuna assures me you bear your mother no warm feelings; she was a harpy then as she is now. Take a good look at Asuna and remember your mother. She bears a strong resembalance.” Tekeshi stated.
“You were in the past.” My sire said to me.
“My soul was tormenting me my Lord. I had been angry and betrayed by your sire and I needed to find peace.” I said quietly.
“Why do you always keep things from me? Am I less than your Mother?” he asked with repressed fury.
“Father no! I did not want you to be disappointed in me. I have failed enough and I did not want you to see what I had wrought upon myself yet again.” I said defensively.
“I watched from afar as the miko whore nearly destroyed my brother and his current miko. I would have understood your torment.” He said coldly.
“Lord Sesshomaru…” Tekeshi started to say.
“You may have known my sire but you do not know me Lord Tekeshi. Asuna is my daughter whether her soul was that of my aunt or not. I watched her birthed into this world and I will continue to defend her. This conversation is between sire and pup.” My father said bluntly.
Tekeshi inclined his head then bowed. He turned then left the study.
“My Lord I am sorry that I have not confided in you.” I said remorsefully.
“What happened to us daughter? When did you stop thinking that I would not support your decisions? I should not but I have always favored you ahead of your brothers. You have always been at my side as my right hand. When did you quit trusting in me?” he asked.
I was speechless and tears actually pricked my eyes. He was right and I was terribly wrong. I closed the space between us and hugged him tightly. He wrapped his arms around me and I actually cried.
“I did not want you to think less of me.” I mumbled.
“You are barely over a century old Asuna. You have faced more in your young life then I did at your age. I am here not only for the West but her heir as well.” He said.
“I am very sorry my Lord.” I said softly.
I released him and then stepped back. He lifted my chin and looked at me with his amber eyes.
“I have said this before; I do not think less of you. I am full inu and I have always followed my instincts; you have a dual nature and have followed yours. I cannot fault that. I hate Naraku and I always will but I understand it now.” He stated.
“Hai my Lord.” I said bowing.
“I will see Lord Tekeshi now.” He said sitting.
“Hai.” I said.
“I have always loved you daughter. When I saw you for the first time I knew that in all my long life I had never wanted to be a father as much as I did in that moment.” He stated.
My back stiffened and I nodded.
“I am ashamed of myself my Lord. I do not deserve such an honorable sire.” I said stiffly.
“Nonsense. Show in Lord Tekeshi.” He commanded.
I slid open the shoji door and shut it behind me. Tekeshi came to me and wrapped his arms around me. I looked up at him and he smiled softly.
“He is an excellent father. I shall be proud to know him. Touga would be more than proud of him.” He stated.
“He wants to speak with both of us now.” I said.
Tekeshi disengaged from me and I followed him into the study. My father very coolly perused the former Manchu Lord with interest.
“You set about your own disgrace in Japan. Why would you do such a thing?” my father asked Tekeshi.
“I became willing to give it all up for a chance of having a life with Asuna. I agree my methods were odd and I have many regrets Sesshomaru-sama but know I would do it all again for a chance with her. I have loved her most of my life.” He stated.
“My sire obviously knew of her.” He stated.
“Hai he knew. Touga could not see her as a grandpup; they were siblings.” Tekeshi said.
“What did my mother do to you that you hated her so?” the Western Lord asked.
“Your father and she were always bitter towards the other. After you were birthed she hatched plots to overthrow your sire. Touga was not perfect but he regretted mating Natsumi. He told me many times that you were the only good thing that she had ever done.” Tekeshi replied.
“Hn.” My father muttered.
“Asuna told me that she opposed your mating her mother.” My mated stated.
“Hai. She hatched plots to try and murder her. I question whether that is the reason that Augusta lost our second pup.” My father said growling.
“Mother offered to kill her for you.” I said quietly.
“Unfortunately Natsumi was mated to Touga. She could not be dispatched so easily and your sire knows that. He could possibly face reprisals from the other lesser inu clans.” Tekeshi said to me.
I looked at my father and knew that my mate spoke the truth.
“You stayed in touch with my sire after you left the islands.” My father asked.
“Hai.” Tekeshi answered.
“I see.” He remarked.
“I love your firstborn. I am no pushover Sesshomaru-sama and I can handle any threat that comes her way.” Tekeshi stated.
“I still dislike the idea of her going after the vermin in her condition. She has already lost two pups in battle.” My sire said.
“The filth is appearing before her now. I suspect it will become worse. She injured him badly but we need more information and I think we may find it where he originated from.” Tekeshi said.
“My Lord I am safe no where right now. I have no choice but to try and fight back.” I stated.
“I do not like it. You need me to stay here I suppose to protect the interests of the pups.” He said in a sour tone.
“Hai. I know you worry for me but I have Tekeshi and others. The pups are still infants.” I said imploring him.
“I will stay and protect their interests. Hopefully the hanyou will be injured at least a little in the venture.” He stated with a malicious smirk.
“My Lord!” I snapped.
My sire looked at me almost innocently and Tekeshi withheld a laugh. I bit my tongue and bowed. I left the study and went in search of Ang Chi.
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// /
“I want no harm to come to my daughter Lord Tekeshi. Your son failed her miserably.” Sesshomaru said flatly.
“My son has disappointed me more than I can say. If certain events did not have to take place I would have chastised him years ago. I am not my son Sesshomaru-sama. I was betrothed to Sorami at one time and when Asuna appeared I was enamored I admit. I got to know her and I fell for her. I too mated for political reasons and produced Katashi because I needed to. I regret those actions but love my son regardless. He will learn his place as soon as I can secure Asuna's safety from this uppyr trash.” Tekeshi answered.
“I also am not the Taisho. I am of a much colder nature Lord Tekeshi and I will do whatever is necessary to protect Asuna. Even from you.” He stated bluntly.
“I respect you for that Lord Sesshomaru. I gave up my identity to be with her and our pup. You have nothing to worry about in regards to me. Lord Jin however has been high handed and arrogant of her since he met her. I will be dissolving the union between them.” Tekeshi replied bluntly.
“Jin will not willingly give her up.” The Western Lord answered.
“Forgive me Sesshomaru-sama but he is a pup in comparison to me. I raised Sheng and I know the Panyu abilities. Only one has ever truly seen the extent of my yoki and that was your sire.” He stated.
“I have no doubt of your prowess Tekeshi-sama but Jin professes a profound love for her too.” Sesshomaru said.
“I have made an alliance with the hanyou and I will not stand in between that union. They were bound in soul in my own life time but no arrogant little boy will lay one more claw on her ever.” Tekeshi said growling.
“You are an interesting creature. I must admit I hate the hanyou with unbridled passion but Jin has been high handed with her. His behavior drives her from him.” Sesshomaru answered.
“You understand your pup well. I have come to understand her too. Now my own pup is going to be dealt a blow himself for his behaviors against his own offspring. The same reason he dishonored Asuna is the reason he dishonors his whole clan and I will not have it!” Tekeshi said with force.
“I have come to like Ang Chi. I will fully support your endeavors against Katashi. He dishonored the West also. I am imagining you have several plans.” Sesshomaru said leaning forward.
“None of my plans encroach on Western interests in the least.” He said.
“I know my pup. She will be planning military incursions to establish Ang Chi's birthright. The boy has become totally devoted to her.” The Western Lord remarked.
“I have noticed. Hai there are plans in the works.” Tekeshi confirmed.
“Asuna will have access to her troops when she needs them.” Sesshomaru replied.
“That is very generous of you Lord Sesshomaru.” Tekeshi stated.
“It serves the West's interests as well Tekeshi-sama. This house's family is poised to take great power.” He retorted.
“The sire and the pup think alike I see. Touga would be very pleased.”
“Hn.” Sesshomaru muttered.
“I know not all the complications of your relationship with your sire Sesshomaru-sama but I know what he told me. Your actions made him more proud then he could express to others and I imagine to yourself also. I also know nothing about the situation of your brother's conception but I do know that he was starved for love. He hated your mother and desired to be loved for himself.” Tekeshi said.
“My sire debased himself with a ningen. I have come to accept the half breed as family but I will not discuss my feelings further about my sire. Inuyasha has no memory of him and would benefit from your knowing the Taisho.” Sesshomaru said stiffly.
“I will cease my comments on your sire.” Tekeshi said.
“Hn.” The Western Lord mumbled.
“I am going to take Asuna and Ang Chi and we will end this threat from the uppyr king once and for all.” He stated.
“Excellent.” Sesshomaru said standing.
Tekeshi stood and left the study. Sesshomaru watched with dispassionate eyes and seated himself again. He closed his eyes a moment and relived some of his memories of his sire and shuddered. The only person who knew everything was in the room next door. He stood and went to the Western Lady's study next to his. He quietly slid open the door and watched her. She helped him deal with the numerous tasks that befell him as the Lord of the West and did so without complaint. She looked up at him and smiled warmly.
“You are thinking about your father again.” She said softly.
“It is no matter.” He said.
“Sesshomaru you need to let it all go my love. You are an excellent father in comparison.” She said standing.
“Did you listen into the conversation next door?” he asked.
“Hai I did. You knew I would.” She said snaking her arms around his neck.
“I knew you would.” He confirmed.
He lowered his lips to hers and bit back a groan. She smiled up at him again and his whole body felt warm.
“You are thinking lecherous thoughts about me. What is a girl to do?” she asked.
“Let her mate bury himself in her heat.” He murmured softly.
“Well I suppose this onna will have to surrender.” She replied softly.
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
I watched Ang Chi sleep while the infant pups were piled around him. He was peaceful and I chose not to interfere with his rest. Even Mizuki was sleeping curled up next to him. I moved back towards the door and I noticed a glint of metal and I investigated. There lying on the low table was my old fang. I started shaking in fury at realizing that Vlad had been in my personal chambers near my offspring. I went to the door and screamed for soldiers. I woke my sons and daughter and knew what I had to do. My father and Tekeshi rushed into my chambers along with soldiers. I held up my old fang and my father's eye widened.
“The pups need to be taken and I must not know their whereabouts.” I said shaking.
“Hai.” My father concurred.
“What fang is that?” Tekeshi asked.
“The one that was taken from me while I was in Wallachia.” I stated in a furious tone.
Tekeshi suppressed his beast and watched on as Sesshomaru gathered up the pups. Ang Chi looked at me.
“I want to come with you.” He said.
“Ang Chi you must stay with my sire. I am dangerous to you right now.” I said.
He nodded morosely and I looked at Tekeshi. I sheathed my old fang next to the Kumosaiga. I moved to my pups and kissed each one. I kissed Ang Chi's forehead and he pulled me into a hug.
“It will be well my son.” I said.
“Mother!” he cried.
I hugged him back. I looked into his black eyes.
“I will be back and I will be fine. Guard the young ones alright?” I asked.
“Hai.” He mumbled.
I turned to Tekeshi and looked at my father.
“We are going to end this threat once and for all!” I snarled.
