Definitions and Showdowns

I had isolated myself from my family and it seemed my sire actually gave up hunting me for now. The Prussian Kumo had the audacity to attack the one place I did not expect; Xizang. Word reached me and I slipped from Qinghai over to Lhasa. Changming came with me. I had put Geming in charge of my affairs on the coastal cities and it was working quite well. I entered Bengal territory and worked my way to the palace.

“Where is Lord Mingli?” I asked a Bengal guard.

“He had to go to Zhangmu.” The tiger replied.

“Was there a kumo attack there as well?” I asked with growing hostility.

“Yes.” The Bengal answered.

I nodded and retreated to Changming. He looked at me and waited for me to speak.

“Your yoki I believe shall be quite useful in dealing with the kumo.” I said softly.

“I think you are right. Where to?” he asked.

“Zhangmu.” I said.

I dipped into the Bengal guard's mind and I saw the city Li was in. The kumo whore was too bold as she tried to lash out. I grabbed Changming and ported us to the Tibetan city. We were near a large castle and I saw huge valleys in the mountainous region. It was also rather balmy. I sensed a large group of Bengal and I moved with determination. My hanfu blew around me in the strong breeze. I had Kumosaiga on my hip and I saw the Bengal lord. He had turned and saw me in the distance. I edged closer and he was doing the same. His eyes were full of concern and he did the unthinkable; he pulled me into his arms and kissed me silly in front of Changming and all of his tigers. I responded with fervor but had to rein myself in because of the location. I slowly pulled back and he looked down at me. I had kept him apprised of what was going on but not where I was.

“Are you alright? I heard you had been hunted and Zihao is alright?” he asked in a rush.

“Hai and I are in Qinghai.” I said softly and in his ear.

“So close?” he asked surprised.

“Hai. Lord Mingli this is my Lord Magistrate Changming.” I said introducing the two males.

“I have corresponded with your esteemed sire Lord Mingli.” Changming said bowing.

“He spoke highly of the Snow Inu.” Li said inclining his head.

“Have you faced the kumo?” I asked.

“Yes, we faced down an organized and vicious small army. My tigers have died. I am sorry I was unable to reach you before but this whore has been relentless. She had sent into my palace assassins.” He said lifting up my chin.

“I was able to reach him in time. He is with the Byakko for the moment but I shall bring him back when it is safe.” I said quietly.

“Will you come and talk?” Li asked brushing his knuckles along my striped cheek.

“Not right now Li. Talking hurts and I want to kill.” I said with an edge.

“I can sympathize. Let me show you the maps.” He said turning and I followed him.

He led us into a large tent and I saw several male tigers milling about in armor. They all looked similar and I knew this was Mingli's male relatives.

“You have met my four brothers?” Mingli asked.

“No, I have not had the pleasure.” I said bowing.

“This is Enlai, Feng, Huan, and the youngest is Junjie.” Li pointed to each male.

“Did your mother have you all back to back?” I asked surprised.

“Yes my lady.” Feng answered with an almost seductive smirk.

I looked at the third brother and he was obviously playful and flirtatious. He was quite gorgeous with reddish brown hair with a few streaks of black. His eyes were a fiery orange color and he smirked at me.

“Feng that is enough!” Li snapped.

I raised my brow at Li and he leveled his brother a stare.

“Come let me show you where we have engaged the spider whore.” He said tersely.

I looked at the maps spread out on a table. Li was radiating annoyance and agitation.

“Why are you upset with your brother?” I whispered in his ear.

“He is the one that gave my parents the most trouble. He is our Youshiro.” He whispered back.

I actually snorted in laughter and he gave me a radiant smile. I smiled back a little and his brow furrowed.

“Leave us!” he commanded.

I heard his brothers mumble yes and they left. Changming stayed right where he was and he raised a brow at me.

“Please Lord Magistrate.” I said softly.

“As you command mistress.” He said bowing.

Li waited and he lifted my chin. His blue eyes searched mine; I could see his concern and I wanted to turn away. My eyes threatened tears but I kept them in.

“You still have not heard from Kaito?” he asked me.

“No. I do not think Hikari will know her sire but she sure as hell will know her mother.” I said vehemently.

“Do you care for the Tomoshibi?” he asked me softly.

“I do.” I said looking away.

“I ask only because I hate to see you suffer not in jealousy.” He said making me look at him.

“I feel wretched Li. I am dealing as best I can. This thing with my family has blown way out of proportion.” I said sighing deeply.

“Maybe we can track down the spider and you can avenge your family.” He said lightly touching my arm.

“My pups Li; I lost four pups. Kaito did the unimaginable and was able to bring Ayana back.” I said trembling.

“I cannot say how grieved I am for you.” He stated in a comforting tone.

“It is appreciated but I will not rest until she is at the end of my claws and I am shredding her to pieces. Her assassins decapitated two of my pups.” I said biting my lip so hard that it bled.

“Asuna!” he exclaimed in complete horror.

“Dead is dead Li.” I said closing my eyes.

He was speechless and I moved over and looked carefully at the maps. She was actually encroaching in India as well. I clenched my hands and my claws pierced my palms. I felt the blood drip to the ground and the anger fueled me.

“Princess I feel helpless. What can I do?” he asked me.

“Just back me up.” I stated.

“I can do that.” He sighed.

I laid my head against his chest and sighed again quite heavily. He just held me as I was overwhelmed yet again. Different scenes of torture flitted through my mind for the she kumo. I let my eyes drift shut and I sensed a slight niggling of my senses. I lifted my head and still kept my eyes closed.

“What do you sense?” Li asked softly.

“Unsure. I have to go to Qinghai! Tell my magistrate to come.” I said pulling away.

I ported away before Li was able to say anything. I appeared in my chambers in Qinghai and the nursemaid startled. She was rocking Hikari in an elaborate cradle and I sensed a ghost like presence.

“Go.” I said in a very soft voice.

“My lady?” she asked.

“Take her and go!” I snapped softly.

She grabbed the babe and ran quickly. I sensed the presence trying to leave and I used all my will to try and contain it.

“You had better become corporeal wraith! You dare try and touch my babe?” I hissed softly.

The presence was not happy with being discovered and I could not hold it forever.

“You arrogant piece of vapor! I said appear or I will hunt you down into the next plane and murder you slowly.” I snarled as my eyes took on a reddish hue.

I felt hands on my shoulders and I whirled quickly. I had prayed it was Kaito but it was a brother of his I did not recognize. I wrapped my hand around his throat and he stared at me shocked.

“I will kill you. I can come to your plane and I will swear to the fucking Kamis that you will die a horrendous death.” I said in my beast's voice.

“My brothers do not know I am here! Let me go.” He snapped.

“Which one are you? Where is Kaito?” I demanded.

“I do not know. We have no idea what happened to him. I am Kaisei and I do not agree with Kaimei at all.” He said trying to pry my hands from his throat.

“Pardon if I do not believe you. How did you find Hikari?” I snarled.

“You named her Hikari?” he asked surprised.

“She is mine and I can name her what I want!” I said clenching my teeth.

“You are belligerent for a good reason but I am not here to hurt or take her. She is starting to gain her wraith yoki. It will be easier for the others to find her soon.” He said struggling in my grasp.

“Where was Kaito last seen?” I demanded.

“It our castle, he was drained beyond endurance.” Kaisei answered.

“Where would a wraith go if they needed to hide?” I asked furiously.

“I do not know. Kaito traveled far more than any of us did. He did have a horrid fight with Kaimei and my elder brother did say that he would kill you before he allowed a corporeal to raise a Tomoshibi.” He said shuddering.

“So that is it. I am unworthy of Kaito in his eyes. Kaito could care less about decorum than even me.” I observed.

“Well he did do a lot he never should have. It is not our place to take in interest in the spiritual and he did. Kaito became enamored with your soul and interfered. He never should have done that.” Kaisei said as I released his throat.

“Well you have never loved?” I asked.

“I did not say that. I am in full support of Kaito. He is doing what we need but Kaimei has become so self involved that he has forgotten that we too are youki.” The wraith stated.

“Well you will not lay one claw on Hikari.” I snapped.

“I only wished to see her is all. I felt her as I was passing through.” He said indignantly.

“Then I need to bind her yoki.” I snapped.

“You would take away part of herself?” he asked shocked.

“I would do it to keep her! You really think after all that has happened that I would lose another pup?” I raged.

“No, I am sorry. I know all that has happened and it is awful.” He said softly.

“So you know then, if you say you support your brother then help me!” I said narrowing my eyes.

“You are asking me to openly disagree with my elder brother?” he asked horrified.

“Well you have no honor!” I snapped.

“Do not question my honor inu. You ask a very dangerous thing!” he snapped.

“Then I question your honor! You saw her and you know she has your blood. Help her and help Kaito!” I hissed.

He looked stunned at my words and I just stared at him. Minutes later Changming walked in and stared at Kaisei. It was amusing for the moment but I did not laugh.

“Is this one of the creatures that is hunting for your daughter mistress?” Changming asked.

“I am not a creature inu! I am a Tomoshibi.” Kaisei said offended.

“It is Lord Magistrate. He either decides to help his niece or he can leave, in which I will hunt him down and make him silent.” I said raising a brow at Kaisei.

“Kaito did not say you were an evil bitch!” the wraith snapped.

“I will do whatever is necessary to protect my pups. Hikari is one of my pups.” I said in a low growl.

“Fine! I shall do whatever I can.” He said sighing.

“Good. We see eye to eye then.” I said backing away from him.

“I know you have been on our plane. I know you can wreak havoc if you so choose. I am actually terrified of one so young who has attained such an ability.” He said bluntly.

“I am sorry you feel so.” I said crossing my arms.

“You just threatened me.” He said in irritation.

“I see it as persuasion.” I retorted.

Changming snorted in laughter. He bowed to me and left my presence. Kaisei seemed uncomfortable but I did not care in the least.

“If you were Kaito where would you go to sleep? I know wraiths and uppyr used to be one species so it can be ascertained that if the uppyr have a death sleep then so do wraiths.” I said out loud.

I looked at him and he looked highly uncomfortable at my statement. I had guessed a deep rooted secret and he did not want to be the one to acknowledge it.

“I do not know.” He replied.

“I am half uppyr as you know and I have been in the death sleep. Please do not treat me as if I am stupid.” I said crossing my arms.

“You are not natural.” He said rather rudely.

“How so?” I asked.

“You are under a thousand summers! How in the seven hells have you managed any of this?” he asked shocked.

“I am a quick study!” I snapped.

“Okay hai when can go into a death sleep as well. Kaito is probably in one as he has done it before.” He stated in a sigh.

“When did he do it before?” I asked.

“I do not remember exactly. It was a thousand years or so?” he said thoughtfully.

“Hn.” I muttered.

The nursemaid poked her head in and she was terrified it seemed. I motioned for her to come and she brought me Hikari who was rooting in hunger.

“I know you prefer to feed her yourself my lady.” She said scared.

“Hai. Thank you.” I said softly.

Hikari was mewling and she never cried loudly. Kaisei inched closer and I allowed him to see her. He smiled at her and she blinked her eyes. She must sense his aura and she actually began kicking in excitement.

“She senses a kindred aura.” I said in amazement.

“Hai. Kaito would be enthralled except for the murderous tendencies of her mother.” He stated.

“I kill when I need to. Have you ever had your own offspring? Of course you have not! Shut your impertinent mouth. I know not if you were titled in the past but I am a lord and princess! Remember that when you disrespect me to my face!” I said in a low growl.

“Hai.” He said clenching his teeth.

“It would be best if you stayed around here when you need to return to your natural state. I will know if you betray me.” I said in a threatening tone.

“I have said I will help! Threatening me continuously does not endear me to you!” he said in sarcasm.

“Well you jump as if you are a little onna!” I said.

He glared at me and I proceeded to move away and I settled to feed my daughter. She nursed with abandon and she was filling out quite nicely. She had put weight on and was getting quite chubby the way pups were supposed to look.

“Kaito will be so thrilled you had a girl.” He said sitting down.

“Why did he need a death sleep?” I asked.

“You will be furious.” He said sighing.

“Tell me what happened you evasive piece of gas!” I snapped.

“Keimei said you were original with the insults.” He said smirking.

“Answer the question! What is with your family and not answering questions?” I demanded.

“Keimei and he came to blows. They were actually in their corporeal forms and Kaito was hurt when he fell.” He sighed.

“Fell? What do you mean fell?” I asked concerned.

“As in he took a spill down the mountain.” He answered.

“Good Kamis!” I said sitting back.

“Hai. Now Kaito had a fondness for Egypt.” He said looking at me.

“Then we shall return to my former homeland.” I said.

“Kamis you are a bossy bitch!” he said irritated again.

“I am. I love Kaito, make no mistake. I know I cannot have a normal relationship with him but I love him.” I said fiercely.

“Then to Egypt we shall go. You should bring her with us. She will be able to sense her sire.” He said gently.

“Will she? She has never met him.” I said choking up.

“She is part of him.” He replied.

“I see. Then let us be off. She has fallen asleep.” I stated.

I took her off my breast and covered back up. I stood and pathed to Changming what was going on. I was surprised when he answered my thoughts. I was more than intrigued again by the snow inu. I took Keisei's hand and ported us to Egypt.

I began to doubt that Kaito was here. It was hot and miserable there as we searched endlessly for my wraith lover. Keisei actually was quite intelligent and personable and I found out he was the third brother. I was sitting near the Nile underneath a palm and watched the river. Hikari was awake more and pushing herself up and grinning at her uncle and me. She was such sweet babe that Kaisei seemed to adore her. I missed my other pups but I refused to draw anymore danger to them. I felt my absence was better then the possibility of their demise.

“We have checked everywhere I can think of. We have been to the old temple site of Hathor and nothing.” I sighed.

“You know we have not checked down.” He said thoughtfully.

“Underground? As in possible undergrounds tombs?” I asked.

“Hai.” He said.

“Come!” I said grabbing up Hikari as she giggled in delight.

Kaisei stood up and I ported us to the underground catacombs underneath the Temple Complex in Karnak. It was massive and Hikari began kicking wildly. Her eyes were wide as we made our way.

“He is here.” I said excitedly.

Kaisei looked surprised and we went very far underground until the air was damp and chilly. I remembered this place as being used for storage of ritual wine and incense. I saw the hieroglyphs and it spoke of disturbing the goddess. I laughed in my mind at Kaito being female but he could truly appear however he wished. We came to some doors that had a strange mechanism and I automatically began twisting the gold levers in a certain way.

“You truly were the priestess.” Kaisei said softly.

“Hai.” I said barely audible.

The doors opened and stale air was released. I opened the doors further and Kaisei held Hikari. I walked into the large room and I sensed his aura immediately. It was strange and I realized I had to be close to feel it.

“He is in his true form but he is here.” I stated in a whisper.

“I can rouse him. He is going to be grouchy.” Kaisei laughed.

“Please could you?” I asked.

“Hai.” He said as he handed me Hikari.

My daughter was so excited that she was wiggling and cooing. I sensed him and I whirled. He looked bleary eyed and really not awake. I handed Hikari to Kaisei and I bit into my wrist. I pressed it to his mouth and he bit in viciously. I realized he was slowly coming into consciousness but I remembered how hungry I had been.

“When did he disappear?” I asked softly.

“Not long after your pups were killed. He was weakened already and then the fight.” He said just as softly.

Kaito growled softly and pulled me into his arms and sank his fangs into my neck. We sank to our knees and I closed my eyes as the bliss spread along my limbs. He drank deeply and I felt myself become much weaker.

“Kaito! Brother pull back or you will kill her.” Kaisei yelled.

Kaito suddenly released my throat and I sagged in his arms.

“What? What is going on?” he asked groggily.

Hikari squealed loudly and I had never heard her make such a loud noise. I looked over and smiled at her.

“Asuna? Is that our babe?” he asked in astonishment.

“Hai.” I said softly.

Kaito looked down at me and his brother brought the wiggling Hikari to him and she started cooing loudly. Kaito held her in his arms and he was in love. She held a finger of his and he looked at me.

“I am sorry I missed her birth. I should have been there!” he said.

“It was one of the easiest births I have had.” I said raising a brow.

“Truly?” he asked surprised.

“Hai. Right up until Yasu and my sire asked for me to hand her over.” I said bitterly.

“What did you just say?” he asked in a very dangerous tone.

“Kaimei brother. He wanted Hikari brought to him after your fight. He told us he would see her mother dead first before she was raised by a corporeal.” Kaisei said.

Kaito's eyes took on a rather eerie hue of green and he stood up. He held his daughter tenderly and she stared up at her sire.

“Kaisei, I wish to spend time with my daughter. I shall see you soon brother.” He said with finality.

“Hai little brother.” Kaisei said and just disappeared.

“Kaito?” I asked softly.

He said nothing and wrapped his arms around me. He fazed us out and we appeared in a secluded glen. I could not tell where we were and I looked up.

“We are in Ireland. It is beautiful here and I do not want my damn brother to come near you or our girl.” He said with a deep growl.

“Kaito.” I said in profound happiness.

“I am sorry I did not come to you. I was hurt badly and I had expended so much energy with your little one. You named her Hikari?” he asked as he sat.

“Hai. It seemed appropriate.” I stated as I sat opposite him.

“Asuna please come over here.” He said gently.

I crawled over to him and stood on my knees across from him.

“I was afraid.” I said.

“She is so wonderful.” He said with profound gentleness.

Hikari had fallen asleep in his arms and I leaned forward and lightly kissed him. His kiss was brutal and needy. He pulled away and looked down.

“Will she sleep awhile?” he asked.

“Hai.” I said evenly.

His slowly took his haori off and nestled Hikari in it. He pushed me onto my back and my hanfu dissolved under his touch. He was between my legs and pushed into me. My back came off the ground and I gasped softly.

“Kaito!” I said in a strangled whisper.

His thrusts were sharp and hard. He did not even try to stop his yoki as it flowed along us both. One leg was bent as I tried to keep my voice down. His lips met mine as he would not let up on his pent up feelings and they were communicated in his kiss and our joining. I arched my neck suddenly and his tongue and lips found my juncture. I was coming undone and his thrusts became harder and I groaned.

“Feel me.” He said in a deep voice.

I felt as though I was separated from my very body and his lips clamped down on mine to silence my cries as I was consumed in my rapture. He collapsed against me but he continued to kiss me. He slowly released my lips and I closed my eyes.

“I love you.” He breathed into my ear.

“I have been forlorn without you. I love you.” I responded.

“I should not ravish you the second I see you.” He said softly.

“Hmm I rather like how you greeted me.” I said with a languid.

He looked over at our babe and then down at me. He lifted a hand to my face and his golden hair fell forward around us.

“She is a good babe?” he asked.

“Hai! She is fabulous. Her birth truly was very easy.” I said meeting his eyes.

“It is normally rougher going for a wraith babe. You continue to amaze me.” He said holding my face.

“She was smaller than my other pups except for Mizuki. Why do they want her?” I asked.

“Probably because my brother realized what I did along time ago. Our offspring will be wraith. Since she is a female that means our kind has hope.” He sighed slowly pulling out of me.

“Because I have a physical body that means I am unworthy to have her?” I asked.

“Hai. I think so.” He said closing his eyes.

“He convinced my sire to hunt me down.” I stated.

“Asuna, you will get your life back and I will strangle Kaimei. He must have threatened your father terribly.” He said holding me.

“How? My sire is the most powerful inu.” I said bluntly.

Kaito sat up and laughed softly.

“What? He is!” I said annoyed.

“No Asuna that would be you. You surpassed your sire along time ago. I am thinking he threatened him where it would hurt.” He said.

“Mother!” I said suddenly.

“You are quick.” He said touching my arm and my hanfu reappeared.

“How do you do that?” I asked amazed.

“I phase your clothing to my realm and then I pull it back. I focus my yoki is all.” He said kissing my nose.

He pulled me up and bent down and picked up Hikari who slept on peacefully.

He touched my arm and he phased us to the Western Palace. I was shocked and surprised. My sire was out of his study quickly when he felt my aura. He stopped when he saw Kaito and he looked at me and I sensed shame from him.

“How did he threaten you?” I asked softly.

“He threatened much and proved his power.” He said coldly.

“Kaimei!” Kaito snarled aloud.

“Well hello little brother. You woke up. So good of you to bring the girl.” He said in a haughty voice.

“How dare you! You threaten a royal house? Have you lost your damn mind?” Kaito snarled again.

I took Hikari from his arms; my sire and I backed up.

“You had to lower yourself and breed with her! The thing is we all felt her when she was born. A normal Tomoshibi does not have their yoki at birth. Why should a mere inu have one of ours when she is obviously so powerful?” Kaimei said stepping forward.

“That inu is her mother! You would take my child from me?” Kaito growled.

“No! You are one of us. That babe is one of us. I see no inu in her at all. Maybe you are right and we should do as you said.” Kaimei stated softly.

“What?” Kaito asked.

“She is our future. The younger youki are mostly not worth our notice but that female perhaps but if she keeps our kin from us again, I will kill her.” Kaimei said bluntly.

“You overstep your bounds brother. We are not judges!” Kaito snapped.

“Yet you kept your relationship secret. Why Kaito? Is it because you know she is unworthy of you?” the elder Tomoshibi.

I grew furious and I handed my sire Hikari. I walked right to Kaimei quickly and shoved my hand straight through him and actually held him there with my will. His eyes widened in surprise and pain. I released my Dakkasou and I did the unexpected; I began draining his yoki.

“You worthless piece of air. You really want to face me? You will leave my family alone or you will join your ancestors in extinction.” I said cruelly.

“Asuna stop please!” Kaito said holding my arm.

“Tell him to back off or I will kill him instead Kaito! I grow tired of these events! I want my life back!” I snarled.

“You are killing him now! Let him go my love, please!” Kaito said pulling on my arm.

I leaned in very close to Kaimei's ear and hissed loudly.

“Never come after my daughter again, next time your little brother will not save you.” I snapped in his ear.

He stared at me with opaque white eyes. He nodded and I pulled my hand back. He fell to his knees and my sire looked rather pleased with my actions. I stepped back and looked down on Kaimei,

“I suggest you leave and never return here. You have become a nuisance; we younger youki have become just a little more powerful.” I said frigidly.

Kaimei could not even speak. He phased out and Kaito looked at me stunned. I took back my daughter and looked at my father.

“Baku is missing.” He stated flatly.

“I hold him. I did not appreciate being hunted like an animal.” I said angrily.

“I was trying to find you before they did. I would not have willingly turned over your pup.” He said coldly.

“Well you said nothing. You were going to allow Yasu to take her?” I snarled.

“No! I had a plan worked out with him. You did not trust me.” He snapped.

“I just had a pup! What was I supposed to think? I was a pregnant bitch!” I snapped back.

“You are right. I apologize.” He said softly.

“Good. Now I am coming home. I need your help in tracking down the kumo bitch.” I said walking towards my chambers.

Kaito followed after me and I walked in and saw Zhou. She was busy keeping things tidy and she bowed low before me.

“Hello my lady.” She said happily.

“Hello Zhou. You remember Kaito.” I said smiling.

“Hai. Hello Kaito-sama.” She said bowing to him.

“Please no formalities.” He said softly.

Zhou smiled and she took Hikari from me. She went to the nursery.

“You nearly drained his life away Asuna.” He said holding me.

“You were arguing with him. I felt a show of power might prove that I am not so unworthy!” I snapped.

“He is still my brother.” He stated softly.

“I know you do not like killing but he threatened first.” I growled.

“I know. You proved that even I have no clue to your true power.” He said running a hand through my silver hair.

“You have learned to enjoy your physical body.” I asked as he just touched me.

“Hai. I told you; you bring me immense joy. I had no idea what to expect.” He said holding me tightly.

“You need to go soon.” I remarked touching his face.

“Hai. I can never be a proper mate but I shall love you and be a good chichi.” He said breathing in loudly.

“I know. Be with me before you have to rejoin your plane.” I asked softly.

“Hai.” He responded.

I was in Qinghai and Geming was there and we were arguing about hunting Teiran Huber. Changming acted as a go between and he finally yelled at us both.

“Brother stop arguing with our lord and mistress the hour grows late. I should like to go to bed.” He sighed.

I stared at him in surprised and Geming snorted.

“General you are getting on my last nerve.” I growled.

“Of course Lady Asuna, there are other places I would like to get.” He said leveling me a stare.

“Good night Geming and Lord Magistrate.” I said rising.

“Hai mistress. Good evening. Brother.” Changming said rising and bowing.

Geming bowed and left the room. Changming went to a side board and pored himself a liberal amount of wine. I had not left and he slowly sipped it.

“You do not offer me any?” I asked in a light tone.
”I am sorry my lady. Take this one.” He said handing it to me.

I took it and sipped it as well. I handed it back and bowed.

“Good evening Lord Magistrate.” I said heading toward the door.

“Why do you not call me by my name? You call Geming his given name.” he asked.

“I like Geming quite a bit but it took awhile for that. I respect you more than most. I like you as well and you have managed to keep these lands very well. You are a wonder to me.” I said honestly.

“I see. Good evening mistress.” He said again bowing.

I was in Xizang again with Li. We were hunting Teiran Huber as she had been spotted. I used my experience of scenting out Ishin to guide me and I caught a very faint scent.

“Gotcha!” I growled very softly.

“You scent something?” he asked surprised.

“Hai. Quiet!” I said as I masked us totally.

I saw in the distance a huge web and near the top was a yellow and black kumo. She was dangerous looking and she was resting it appeared. She did not sense us yet and I slowly pulled Kumosaiga. Li watched and I channeled my yoki and let loose the Kumo wave. Teiran sensed it almost too late and she changed form and rolled. Her eyes flashed crimson and hatred evident on her face. What I saw tore open my heart. My lips trembled in rage and I sheathed my fang. I stared at her and her at me. She produced a shoki cloud and disappeared.

“Asuna!” Li said shaking me.

“Let me go Li.” I said flatly.

“What happened? You had her!” he cried.

“I will not kill an innocent as she killed mine. Did you not see she is pregnant?” I asked

“What? Who would procreate with such a monster?” he asked.

“Ishin.” I said devoid of emotion.

Li looked shocked and I dejectedly walked away. I did not expect fidelity but as his chosen mate, I should be the only one to carry his progeny. He had joined with her on a basic level.

“I will be back Li. I have to take care of something.” I said tonelessly.

“Talk to me! What exactly has happened?” he asked.

“Whilst my pups were being murdered Ishin was fucking her.” I said in a sudden terrible rage.

“Oh Gods.” He said dumfounded.

“Keep your bed warm for I shall join you later.” I said porting out.

I appeared in the former Tsuchigumo territory in the south and there was a heavily guarded nest. I walked in and found Naraku holding Ayana.

“Get our things, we are leaving.” I said flatly.

“What? I have not seen you in months and you come in and tell me to pack our things? What is going on inu?” Naraku said standing.

“You know! You know what he did.” I said growling low.

“What?” he asked confused.

“Where is Ishin?” I demanded.

“In the forest. What did he supposedly do?” Naraku asked following me.

“Bastard! Sorry son of bitch! Like your mother! Like your fucking mother!” I screamed.

Naraku was taken back by my rage and I whirled on my heel.

“I said take Ayana and Mizuki. I will not repeat myself.” I snarled.

I stalked into the forest and I pulled my fang. I channeled Naraku and I knew I felled him. I released a tremendous blast of yoki and that decimated this part of the forest. I heard cursing and Ishin appeared near me. My eyes were crimson and I glared at him.

“You fucked her?” I asked in a scream.

“I am sorry it happened.” He said actually backing away.

“Why do you get so angry at your mother's memory when you act just like her?” I said in heavy sarcasm.

“Excuse me?” he hissed.

“You fucked her! You fucked her and joined with her! She carries your babe. You fucked her while my own pups were murdered and our daughter! Your legitimate daughter I might add. Your were getting off while my babes were taken from me!” I screamed.

“Asuna, I..!” he tried to say.

“I will not kill her right now but that babe is mine. That babe is mine for the ones she killed. You do not exist to me anymore. I could have accepted a rut but to actually meld with her in spirit? I hate you. I hate you!” I snarled again.

He could not speak and I stalked away from him.

“Do not seek me. Do not seek my daughter or this pup I shall rip from her womb! Do not seek Naraku either. Rot in hell.” I said porting away.

I ported to Naraku's northern castle and broke down. I sobbed so hard I thought I would be sick. When I thought I could deal with my pups being ripped from me, I found out this. I felt Naraku in front of me and I raised my face. He looked exhausted and highly confused. I stood and pressed my lips to his and he groaned. I began savagely consuming him and he truly did not understand what had happened. I tore at his hakamas and he hissed softly.

“The girls are in the other room!” he said in my ear.

“You will give me what was taken from me!” I snarled.

“Asuna, explain what has happened!” he demanded.

Anger consumed me and I sank my claws into his back and he snarled in response. He flattened me against the wall and stared at me with fury. My eyes were burning and I wrapped a hand around his throat. I wanted him as angry as I was. I wanted him tearing at me; it would make this whole situation less surreal. I slapped him and he growled louder. I began striking him and he caught my wrist in a painful grasp.

“What has gotten into you?” he snapped at me.

I ripped open his haori and savagely bit into his chest and he moaned loudly. I was leaving no room for him to make this a happy affair.

“Do not speak to me as if you are stupid.” I growled in his ear.

“Excuse me?” he hissed.

“Former fucking hanyou. Maybe all the years with the ningen dulled your brain.” I said cruelly.

Pure fury took hold of him and he gripped my arms and his claws pierced my skin. I cried out and I felt blood ooze from the wounds.

“Pansy! Is that all you have? Mongrel half breed!” I hissed.

He grabbed my throat and he looked as if I betrayed him. I grasped him and slowly worked his flesh. More confusion flitted across his features and I leaned forward and snapped my fangs.

“Onigumo.” I breathed.

He threw me to the floor and went to hit me in his all consuming anger. I pulled him down and began crushing his lips in a bruising kiss. He would loose total control in his mind and body. I had built up a ton of emotion. I ripped at his haori and I opened pulled up my hanfu. I again grasped his now proud erection and guided him to my entrance. In his mindless anger, he slammed into me roughly. I wrapped my legs around his hips as he continued to hammer into me. I cried out and I knew the servants would have enough sense to get the girls away from this end of the castle. He was trying to punish me for my words and I felt his whole being. I surrendered to it and did not fight it as it consumed and melded with mine. He suddenly understood and he groaned against my neck.

“My silly inu.” He rasped.

I pressed my own yoki against his and he began groaning louder as he pushed into me hard. I matched him move for move but the immense yoki was too great and we became awash in it. He shouted as he fell against me and we spasmed together. My jaw was set but he took my lips and kissed me deeply. I responded with abandon and he slowly withdrew from my now sore center. He fell to his back and closed his mahogany eyes.

“What did you want from me Asuna?” he asked softly.

“I want you. I want your seed within my womb giving us a son.” I said closing my eyes as well.

“My darling have you not been through enough?” he asked taking my hand,

“He got her pregnant Naraku. Ishin got that whore pregnant.” I said shaking.

“Good Kamis he did not!” he said furious himself.

“Hai. I shall find her again and rip the babe from her womb. She owes me for the ones she stole.” I said growling furiously.

“Koi. I want another pup from you but not when this hurts you.” He said touching my lips.

“I said I want your pup! Now shut it.” I hissed.

“Asuna listen to good sense.” He said hovering over me.

I grabbed his male parts and he did not move. I did not threaten him but began rubbing him to get him aroused. He groaned and my eyes flashed.

“Give me a pup. I beg you my heart, my soul. Give me your son.” I said nipping at his throat and I bit in.

“Asuna. Oh Kamis.” He cried as I pulled and prodded within his mind.

“Please.” I mewled.

“Hai! Hai whatever you wish.” He groaned heavily.

I continued to work his mind and body. A small part of my brain planned the kumo bitch's murder.

I became obsessed with finding Teiran again. I sent out agents all over Asia and into Europe. Knowing Ishin and I did; he would go after his babe. I intended to get to it first. I could have forgiven him if my own progeny had not been killed. I was nursing Hikari as I read every report. I sensed Changming in the doorway and I looked up.

“I have to find her soon Chang.” I said absently.

“My lady? You called me by my name?” he asked surprised.

“Hai I did. Now help me read through these reports.” I commanded.

He picked up a stack and began going through them. We stayed like it for hours and my back was killing me. I stood up and I called for Zhou. She came in and took Hikari from me.

“I shall bathe her and ready her for my bed my lady.” She said.

“Thank you Zhou.” I said warmly.

She bowed and took my girl with her. Changming stood reading a long report.

“What has you so deeply engrossed Chang?” I asked.

“This does.” He said handing me a letter.
I read it and my smile widened. I looked up at the snow inu and nodded.

“Get your katana. We are hunting kumo.” I said.

I grabbed my fang and I grabbed Chang's hand. He pulled me closer and scented my neck. I looked up at him and he closed his eyes.

“You are in heat.” He said in a strange tone.

“Damn.” I said looking down.

“You wish to be pregnant.” He said scenting me again.

“Hai. I was hoping to carry already. Oh well.” I said clenching my jaw.

“I need to back away. You smell intoxicating.” He said grunting and straightening himself.

“I need your help Chang.” I said bluntly.

“Hai. I am fine.” He said straightening.

I nodded and took his hand. I ported us to a country called Sweden. Chang growled softly and I looked at him. He pulled me to him and turned my jaw to the side and scented my neck deeply. He darted his tongue along my juncture and I shuddered in a slight pleasure.

“Chang. Please pull back, I need to find her, please my friend.” I said calmly.

“Hai mistress.” He said pulling back.

His eyes were tinged pink and I felt for him. His instincts were to bathe in my scent and try to take me. I was not exactly a normal inu bitch and it seemed I was fair game. I sighed and began scenting lightly. The air was cold and I focused on finding her. He too began scenting the air.

“Focus carefully. Kumo can mask very well. They have a very faint scent of lemon grass I have found.” I whispered.

I went back to scenting and he jerked his head in the opposite direction. He grinned and looked back at me.

“Ever ride bare back my lady?” he asked with a smirk.

“No but I have been ridden.” I said in retort.

He snorted softly and he changed form. He was massive and his fur was full and silky. He was completely white and he looked down at me. I smiled at him and I pulled on his fur and pulled myself onto his back. He took off in a run and I held on. His fur was incredibly soft and I ran my hand through it. I said nothing as he traversed the land. He was a creature of the cold and he stopped suddenly. I scented it now and I slid down. I landed on my feet and masked us. I heard crying out and she was in labor. I smiled as I moved forward. I found her web and it was thick. I cut through with my fang and she looked up in anger. She saw who it was and she lashed out. She released her silk and I dissolved it with my Dakkasou.

“Does it hurt?” I asked in malice.

“Get it over with!” she screamed.

“No. You will die on my terms and not yours. You will see your babe born.” I said sitting.

“No!” she growled.

“Not so powerful now that you are in labor? You babe must be big. Ayana was huge. I almost bled out having her.” I said snickering.

“Shut up!” she snarled.

I forced her thighs apart and I saw blood. I would not let the babe die and I felt her belly. Chang held her forcefully as she screamed. I felt for the babe's head and it was in the wrong position.

“Ishin your babes do not like to cooperate.” I said shaking my head.

“Let go of me!” she snarled.

“Hold her Chang. This will hurt badly but that pleases me to no end.” I said in a cruel tone.

I pressed on her belly and coaxed the babe to move. She screamed as I slowly made her child move in her womb. I had paid attention to what Nobu had done. I kept pressing hard not caring that she was screaming the whole time. The babe was huge I could tell and I need not kill her. She would tear apart having the kumo youngling. She would watch as I took from her. I felt the head in the down position and I nodded.

“Now Grand Duchess Huber we wait as you deliver my babe.” I said settling.

“No! This is not yours!” she hissed and then cried out.

“Oh hai it is. You do not seem to understand that I need not lay a claw on you. You bedded my mate and he got you pregnant and now it is his babe that will kill you, ironic do you not think?” I asked gleefully.

Tears actually fell down her face. I had no care and she labored on. I had produced a powerful barrier and waited.

“I will have you know that I am still producing milk and this babe will feed from me. If you had just bedded him and this happened, I could have handled that but you ordered the deaths of my pups!” I hissed.

She said nothing and I could see her straining to push. I looked and she was trying to bear down.

“Harder you stupid whore!” I snapped.

She began weeping as she bore down. I looked at Chang and his eyes betrayed nothing. He held her down as I wished and she bore down hard. I was making sure the babe was fine and I could see her tearing. I scented blood but I did nothing. I saw her slowly push the black haired kumo out. My heart clenched and she seemed to be loosing an awful lot of blood and my concern was for the little one. I sliced into her perineum and she screamed. The kumo babe was pushed out much easier and I helped its shoulders pass and then it slid out easily enough. I looked down in tenderness and looked at Chang. He managed to take off his haori and handed it to me. I wrapped the boy in the silk and touched him gingerly.

“You have given me a son for one of mine you stole.” I said refusing to let her see.

“He is mine!” she said crying hard.

“No. He is mine. I am staying until I know you are dead. The bleeding is not stopping.” I said in a cruel whisper.

“He is mine!” she screamed louder.

He was mewling and he opened his magnificent hazel eyes. I kept him warm and I pulled open my hanfu and put him to breast. He lazily suckled and I smiled softly. I heard sobs coming from Teiran and I scented more blood coming from her. Chang released her and sat beside me. It would take a little while for her to die but I continued to nurse and I rubbed his soft skin.

“Hello Katsu.” I said gently running my finger along his cheek.

“Very good name for him.” Chang said softly.

“His name means victory kumo. He is my victory over you.” I said staring at her.

Her face was drained of color and for a moment pity stole through me. I held him up and she looked at him.

“My son.” She whispered weakly.

“No my son. He will never know of you. He will never know anyone but me. He is a funnel web and nothing like you.” I whispered.

Her breathing was shallow and I saw her head fall to the side. Her eyes stared out in nothingness and I did not care. The pool of blood around her was awful. If Ishin found her then he would have no idea. I stood up with Katsu and Chang joined me.

“I am going home to Japan. I am moving my main residence to Qinghai. I will be home within a few days.” I said.

“As you command.” He said bowing.

“Has your opinion changed?” I asked.

“No. In fact I think you are amazing.” He said bowing and then ported away.

I stared down at Teiran and felt nothing but hatred. I stepped over her dead body and ported to the Northern Castle. I brushed Naraku's mind and he came from his library. He looked stunned and I held up the kumo babe. I undid the haori around him and showed him.

“You are intent upon this course.” He said.

“Hai.” I stated flatly.

“You realize that Ishin may become our enemy once more.” He said sighing.

“Hai. I cannot accept what he did. You stand behind me?” I asked him.

“Hai. How did you kill her?” he asked.

“She bled to death having him. She watched as I named him Katsu and as I nursed him. She wept as I took her babe from her as she took ours from us.” I said shrugging.

“That is quite cruel. GOOD!” he said happily.

He came over and took the squirming infant from my arms. He smiled down at him and it touched me.

“I want you later.” I said bluntly.

He lifted his head and scented the air. He groaned softly and smiled at me. I nodded and went to get the babe some clothes. Ishin was suffering and I felt it. I did not care at the moment. I held my head up as I walked away.

Ishin stared down at the dead body of the onna who had pretty well ruined his life. She had bled to death and there was no sign of the babe that she carried. Anguish ripped through him and he found no evidence of anything and it horrified that perhaps the infant had been carried away as food. Nobu was with him and he shook his head.

“Ishin she was cut at the perineum. Someone knew what to expect.” Nobu said standing.

“Asuna! She took the babe. Dear Kamis!” he cried.

“It would appear that indeed your estranged mate was here. This is a sign of her toxin.” Nobu showed him.

“Ishin my friend.” He said sighing.

“She took Ayana and now this babe.” He said hitting the wall.

“What possessed you to take this onna Ishin?” he asked.

“I did not want to. She invoked my beast Nobu. I truly did not want to join with her in such a manner.” He said staring hatefully at Teiran's body.

“Ishin, would she kill the babe?” Nobu asked suddenly.

“I do not think so. I hope not. I hope she does not hate me that much.” He said looking down.

“I shall send Aya to gather information.” Nobu stated.

“Thank you.” He said sighing.

He held in his emotions and he wanted to find seclusion and howl. Nobu stayed with his friend and he had to try to reach Asuna. He produced his shoki cloud and ported away. He was near the Northern Castle and he decided to be direct. It was in the middle of the night and he met with a barrier. He pressed it and Naraku appeared. He sighed and raised a brow.

“I am here of my own accord Lord Naraku.” Nobu said bowing.

“I feel his pain. What do you want Nobu?” he asked.

“Did she kill the babe?” Nobu asked.

“What babe?” Naraku asked narrowing his eyes.

“Good Kamis Naraku she killed it?” Nobu asked horrified.

“Oh that babe. He is fine and in fact he is eating at the moment.” He said.

“She kept him?” Nobu asked.

“Hai and she named him Katsu.” He said crossing his arms.

“Lord Naraku, I know Ishin and he did not intend for this.” He said pleading.

“They killed Ayana and my sons! They killed Hana and Hiroto as well. They took from us as a whole and he gets her pregnant? Believe me Nobu when I say that the other harlot tried to induce me into rutting as well and I did not. Ishin gave in because he did not wish to fight it! This will take much to forgive. My sons Nobu!” He snarled.

Nobu cringed and he bowed. Ishin would be glad at least that the babe lived. He appeared in Sendai and sat by his friend.

“My lord. Asuna has the babe and he is healthy. She named him Katsu.” Nobu said.

Ishin closed his eyes and sighed. His child should not suffer because he had been a cad. He stood and nodded.

“I accept the situation.” He said as his gut twisted.

“My lord? Fight for your family! You made a mistake but you are not a Kami.” Nobu said.

“How?” he asked in a tired voice.

“Ishin you are still connected. Naraku said so. Connect with her and draw her out.” He said.

“If I come back castrated then you will know she did it.” He sighed again.

Ishin ported out and Nobu prayed that common sense would prevail.

My wrist throbbed like it had not in a very long while. I ported into the wilds outside of the castle. I saw him and my eyes took on a reddish hue.

“What?” I demanded.

“I wanted to explain.” He said softly.

“I have what I wanted from you. You may go.” I said crossing my arms.

“Asuna please! How can you judge what I did?” he asked in a pained voice.

“I do not judge that you fucked her Ishin. I would like to know how good it was that you gave yourself completely to her. I have no room to question if you take a lover or even a concubine but I come first, ME!! My pups and I come before some other fucking harlot. She ordered the deaths of my young ones Ishin. I have nothing left of Tekeshi or Yuudai, two males I loved long before you. She murdered our daughter and you are here asking how I can judge you?” I snarled.

“Asuna.” He sighed.

I growled in my fury and I rushed him with preternatural speed. I sank my fangs into his neck deeply and I delved into his memories. I was so angry and I saw what happened. He had me in his mind when he took her. I released his throat and lifted his hand and barely touched his fingertips.

“You feel this Ishin.” I snapped in his ear.

“Hai.” He said biting back a moan.

I lifted his fingers to my lips and licked each and every fingertip. I slid down his body and released him from his hakamas. He looked down at me in surprise and ran my tongue along his shaft. I blew on the slightly moistened flesh and he suddenly groaned very loudly. Shudders went down his spine and I watched him. I sank my claws into his backside and he growled in pain and I again blew on his member.

“Asuna! Please no more.” He groaned.

“You thought of me?” I growled.

“Hai. I did not want her! My beast and my body betrayed me. I retreated into my own mind.” He said in anguish.

I slowly slid back up his body. I opened to Naraku and showed him what I had seen. He acknowledged but he flat out said he needed more time. I sequestered him and pressed myself to Ishin.

“Scent me very closely. Scent very hard and tell me what you smell.” I commanded.

I watched his face and he looked at me in confusion.

“What is that? You smell decadent.” He said quietly.

“An inu heat.” I murmured in his ear.

“Why tell me this?” he asked me.

“Why did you not tell me sooner what happened? Why did you let me find out this way?” I asked him in a tortured tone.

“I was ashamed.” He said looking away.

“This is me Ishin!” I hissed.

“I am sorry. When I found out about the younglings; I hated myself.” He said in anguish.

“You should have told me. You should have told me how you took her.” I said hitting his chest.

“Asuna! I made a terrible mistake but I truly never meant for this to happen.” He said taking my arms.

“He looks like you.” I said with tremendous emotion.

He said nothing and looked away. I forced him to look at me and stared into his obsidian eyes.

“You will not punish him. He is your son and you will honor him! Do not be Katashi.” I growled.

He stared at me in my insult and he crossed his arms. I was out of my mind in grief again and I pulled him down in a brutal kiss. At first he did nothing but then he responded in his nature. He shoved me painfully against a tree and I was angry again.

“I saw it Ishin but why not tell me exactly how you took her.” I said in an angry tone.

“Asuna stop it! You wish to punish me?” he growled.

“NO but you will give your lawful mate what she wants. You will give me what I want now!” I growled.

“What would that be inu?” he snapped.

I clawed at him and his eyes were taking on a reddish hue. I snarled and hit him repeatedly. His face was angry and I hissed.

“Truly why do you judge your mother Ishin? Are you not as faithless as she?” I said coldly.

“You expect me to be yours alone!” he accused.

“Hai! You are mine. Naraku is mine. No other onna shall touch you ever again.” I said in my beast's voice.

“My you have double standards.” He hissed in anger.

I brutally bit into his neck and he hissed in pain. He pinned me roughly to the tree and he ripped open my kimono.

“Am I worthy of the great Lord Ishin?” I said dripping in sarcasm.

Pain and proper feelings took over me as he had almost violently joined with me. I cried out in a hoarse voice. Ishin was angry and I was overwhelmed. I reached in deep into his mind and forcefully pulled on his yoki. He cried out himself and the yoki was immense. We needed this catharsis and I intended to have it. We continued to create a huge amount of heat and our yoki consumed us both. I could not feel myself falling nor did I truly hear myself scream. I succumbed to the overwhelming.

I woke up and I was nestled tightly against Ishin in a funnel web of his making. He was in his humanoid form and he was totally gone in his exhaustion. I laid my head back down and sighed gently. I ported us both to Sendai and laid him gently on his futon. I covered him and went and put on a dressing gown. My neck and body was littered with puncture wounds and bites. Nobu came in and saw me.

“I shall be right back. Make sure he sleeps; we battled.” I said softly.

“I am glad you are home Lady Asuna.” He said softly.

“Thank you.” I said closing my eyes.

“My lady? You look like you are going to be sick.” He said holding me up.

“I am fine. Naraku and I have fought and Ishin and I have fought.” I explained.

He held me up and I nodded. I ported away to the Northern Castle and saw Naraku sleep deeply. Mizuki saw me and she rushed over.

“Haha are you okay?” she asked.

“Fine my darling. Get Ayana and Katsu.” I commanded.

“Hai.” She said running to the nursery. Ayana toddled after her and she carried my new son.

“Port to Sendai.” I said and she nodded.

She took Ayana's hand and I ported the babe and myself. I walked quietly to Ishin's room and Ayana shrieked when she saw her other chichi. She ran as fast as her little legs would carry her and jumped on Ishin. He grunted in his sleep and rolled over.

“Ayana?” he asked quietly.

“Chichi!” she sang out.

He hugged his daughter tightly and he looked up at me. He sat up and was surprised to see where he was. I came over to him and laid Katsu in his arms. He looked down and his expression softened.

“He is ours. He is mine and make no mistake of that.” I said softly.

“Hai.” He replied.

Mizuki came over to me and hugged me tightly. I held onto her and she led me to the futon. Ishin looked over at me and I barely nodded.

“Haha you look tired.” She said.

“I am.” I said holding her hands.

I lay down and closed my eyes. I ended passing out and being shaken awake later. I looked up and it was my mother.

“Asuna baby wake up.” She said.

I sat up and looked around. I was in Sendai and both Ishin and Naraku stood in the doorway. She looked frightened and I was staring at her.

“We have a problem.” She whispered.

“What?” I asked trying to wake up.

“It is missing.” She said in a wretched tone.

“The it?” I asked in horror.

“Hai. Baby we have to find it.” She said.

I looked over at Naraku and I knew he did not have it. She helped me up and I masked myself heavily. I walked with her and I saw Tamiko. I sighed and realized I was to have no peace.

“Come Asuna.” She said.

“What the hell is going on? Why are you masking inu?” Naraku demanded.

“Please tend the pups my darling. This is something you cannot help with it.” I sighed.

“Asuna! First why are masking from us?” he demanded.

“Nothing. I do not feel well and I have no wish to hear you bitch!” I said growling.

I was trying to put him off and it was working. Tamiko and my mother dragged me away. Tamiko brought us to her hut. She began mixing a potion and my mother was shaking.

“What am I doing? Why is it my responsibility to do this? Kagome is the Shikon Miko!” I said in irritation.

“You have the yoki along with your sire and Inuyasha to destroy it once and for all. I am sorry Asuna but you have to go back and destroy it.” Tamiko stated.

“I am pupped! I do not want to do this!” I snapped.

“Well Asuna it is that and face all manner of conflict here in this era. You can at least wrestle the Shikon away from Naraku in the past.” My mother said.

“Great! Because I am mated to him I have to do what you all should have done a century ago! I want to live my life! I want to live as Asuna and not as Akana or Sorami!” I snarled.

“You will but you are the strongest along with your sire.” Tamiko said.

“I still have not forgiven you for interfering with Kaito and me!” I snapped.

“Go back and bitch later! Here put this on your marks!” she commanded.

I did as she said and I knew me tell tale marks would fade.

“You carry twins by the way. You further complicate your life.” She sighed.

“I want to give Naraku a son.” I said flatly.

“You also wish to give Ishin one as well?” she asked.

“Damn.” I said sighing.

“Hai but you knew what you were doing.” She accused.

“Just send me back!” I growled.

She crashed an amulet and I steeled myself. My mother threw me a large bag of gold and I tucked it into my kimono. I walked through and I was in Inuyasha's forest. It seemed my mother had dressed me and I had Kumosaiga. I resented this and I hated the Shikon with everything in me. I saw the cave and went to it. I needed to sleep for the moment and I crawled in and passed out. I slowly came to and it was dark outside. In front of me was an albino child Kana. I growled and she never blinked.

“He knows you are here. He commands you to come.” She said in her eerie voice.

“He can screw himself. Do you hear that Naraku? Coward! You send a minion for me? Fucking hanyou!” I snarled.

Kana blinked and she stepped aside. Naraku walked straight up to me and it was indeed him as a hanyou.

“A coward? You little inu are a trouble maker.” He snapped.

“I do not have time for you right now.” I said in irritation.

“Why are you here?” he hissed in question.

“None of your damn business Onigumo!” I said coming nose to nose to him.

“I should gut you.” He snarled.

“Right. Let me get you Kikoyo so you fulfill your fantasies. Get out of my way filthy hanyou.” I said pushing past him.

I truly had no idea when this was and I looked at him. I saw desire and malice in his eyes. I leaned forward and kissed him passionately. He reached up and held my face as he kissed me in return. I ended up against the cave wall as he devoured me. He began kissing my neck and my eyes rolled as his tongue laved along my pulse point. He stopped and scented my neck. My masking had slipped and I immediately put it back up.

“What was that?” he demanded.

“None of your business.” I said raising a brow.

“You and I have been intimate inu. I think you can share why you scent so strangely.” He growled.

“Not this again. Get out of my way.” I snapped.

I walked out of the cave and sheer exhaustion took me. Twins is what she said. I was having twins and happiness tore through me. I wondered how long I would have it before it was ripped from me. Naraku blocked my path and he was determined to know my reasons for being here.

“Send away the phantom child and I may talk.” I said sighing.

“Kana go.” He commanded.

She left into the shadows and he crossed his arms and stared at me. I stared at him and strong desire tore through me.

“You have a lot of guts being so close to Edo.” I said softly.

“You know of my castle.” He said smirking.

I leaned against a tree and he neared me. He lifted my chin and softly touched his lips to mine. He was hungry and his lips began devouring mine again. One hand reached up and held my face. He was feeling the pull of our souls and my masking slipped again. He lifted his mouth and his eyes widened. I again threw it back up and he held me to him tightly.

“Explain what is that scent? You smell so amazing.” He said running a hand across my stomach and clutched me to him.

“It is nothing Naraku. I do not like being so out in the open.” I said trying to pull away.

He produced his miasma and we appeared in his private rooms. Naraku was in total control and he opened my kimono. He pressed my gently back onto the futon. One of his hands cupped my breast and he leaned down and suckled it. He looked up and his eyes were burning in passion.

“You are feeding a babe.” He said in a deep voice.

“Hai.” I responded softly.

He cupped both breasts and began kissing and nipping my peaks. I moaned softly and he was gentle with me. He again lifted his face and carnal desire was reflected. I was startled at his demeanor and he lifted my leg and he was in me. I arched my back in response and I was still so sensitive. Naraku was not gentle in this era and I wondered if on some level he realized I carried his babe. He was nuzzling my neck and then kissing me as he made love to me. I was moaning as my mate brought me swiftly to rapture. He settled behind me and spooned me.

“Who are you and what have you done with Naraku.” I said sleepily.

“I was overcome. I know this is strange.” He murmured into my neck.

“Please I need to sleep.” I said drifting.

“I demand you tell me what you are doing here.” He said in my ear.

“Not my mate yet.” I mumbled.

“Excuse me?” he said gently shaking me.

“Tired. The pups must be strong. They are draining me.” I said incoherently.

“What pups?” he asked softly.

“Ours. Just as strong as Mizuki.” I mumbled.

“Who is this Mizuki?” he asked.

“Why do you ask stupid questions?” I said in a breathy tone.

“Where do you think you are inu?” he asked in my ear.

“Home. It still hurts Naraku. Ishin betrayed us and our sons are dead.” I said staring off.

I finally fell asleep and sank into oblivion.

He sat next to the inu onna that he was enamored with and she had just told him their future. He tried to sort through the names but knew none of them. He looked at her stomach and shook his head. He did not think that he could reproduce but he must have. He felt her belly with a splayed hand and he felt something. Warmth spread through him unlike he had ever known. He was shocked and looked at the onna sleep. He knew not the name Ishin and he stood up. He put on yukata and stalked out of his room.

“Kagura!” he yelled.

The wind witch appeared and she sneered as she bowed.

“Hai.” She said with a lowered head.

“Where are the mutt and his tachi?” he asked.

“They are in the south. They are running down rumors of the jewel. There still is no sign of it.” She said in contempt.

He knew the onna in his room had done something with it but her words seemed somehow more important for the moment.

“I want you to find out who a youki named Ishin is.” He commanded.

“Who?” the wind witch asked.

“I do not repeat myself wench! Go!” he yelled.

He paced back and forth and he wanted to shake her awake. He wanted to know what she meant and it drove him insane not knowing. It was always that way with her; the not knowing and the pull he felt. There was power within her and he would know what it was. She had said the name Mizuki; that meant beautiful moon. He decided to taunt the Western Lord and pump him for information. He went back into his room and looked down at the onna sleep deeply. Her markings were not there and the scent was coming off of her in waves now. He leaned down and breathed in deeply. It was the most beautiful thing he has scented. He looked down at her and he realized his babe was nestled within her womb.

“When did we do this?” he whispered.

She rolled in her sleep and he lay beside her. Deep within himself he knew he loved her. He was obsessed with her and he desired her more than the ningen had wanted the damn miko; also deep within himself rage was felt. The youki squashed the ningen and he stood up. He was close to finding the jewel but protecting her seemed more important at the moment. He quickly dressed himself and ported out. He observed the Western Lord arguing with the uppyr female he had brought from the continent. Magatushi was the one who took over her possession and he had ended up becoming entranced with the inu onna.

“Sesshomaru damn it all! The kids are tired and Naraku is still the spineless worm he always is!” Augusta snapped.

“Do not disrespect this Sesshomaru in front of his pack!” the great inu growled.

“I am your mate! Remember that? Jaken! Do not take another step and you will assist me in putting these children to bed!” Augusta snapped walking away from her mate.

He growled in anger and she knew he would take it out on her later. She picked up Rin and the little girl hugged her tightly.

“Haha why is chichi so mad?” she asked.

“Because he dislikes Naraku so. He is a youki and you are a ningen so he does not need sleep as much as you do.” She said kissing her forehead.

Augusta looked up and she sensed an aura very faintly. She whispered in Rin's ear and the little girl slipped down her mother and started shrieking after the kappa that he was to brush her hair. Sesshomaru stared at her and she was walking too casually towards him. She pressed herself to him and pulled his head down as if to kiss him.

“Naraku is around.” She whispered in his ear.

He growled softly and brought up his right hand. He slowly backed her up as if to press her to a tree and he suddenly pulled Tokijin and released the Dragon Strike. Naraku cursed under his breath and ported out quickly. The Western Lord moved quickly and it was dizzying. He produced a barrier to keep him away.

“Vermin!” Sesshomaru hissed.

Augusta came up behind her mate and scented the air. She stared at Naraku strangely and he glared at her.

“You scent of inu.” She accused him.

“I killed one on the way here for my dinner. It was quite tasty.” He snickered.

Sesshomaru began growling terribly but managed to glare down Naraku. Augusta stared at him and she circled his barrier.

“You never come out unless it benefits you. Why do you stink of inu and something else.” She said trying to identify the smell.

“I was quite curious as to politics and I was curious if your hound here could unthaw a moment. It has recently come to my attention of a youki named Ishin. It seems he would greatly add to my power.” He chuckled.

“You have no honor half breed. You waste space and you will not face this Sesshomaru.” He said in a bored tone.

“You tell me what you know and I will let you have a crack at me mutt.” He said arrogantly.

“Tsuchigumo it is rumored. What kind I do not know. They are elusive.” Sesshomaru stated narrowing his amber eyes.

Naraku lowered his barrier and he ended up porting out quickly and Sesshomaru whirled as he appeared behind him. The Western Lord struck quickly and miasma exploded everywhere. Augusta began coughing and Sesshomaru grabbed her and jumped out of the poison.

“Coward! I again failed to kill him!” he snapped.

Naraku had totally hidden himself as a small rodent in the tree. He watched the uppyr pace back and forth.

“I swear I scented blood on him Sesshomaru.” She said looking at her mate.

“He said he killed an inu.” He said flicking dirt off of his haori.

“A blood relation of yours?” she asked bluntly.

That caught his attention and he looked at her. Her senses were just as sharp as his. If she scented blood of a relative then she did. He thought of Inuyasha and snorted at that idea. He had cousins from his mother's side and he really did not care. His mother was alive and he did not care about her either.

“No one that matters.” He said shaking his head.

“No Sesshomaru this does. I think I placed the scent. When I miscarried our pup. The scent was distinctly you and I mixed.” She said looking at him.

“That does not make sense.” He said looking at her.

“I know but that is what is smells like.” She shrugged.

Sesshomaru looked at where the dark hanyou had been and anger grew in him. He had no idea what was going on but he was getting agitated. Naraku scampered off and took on his humanoid form. He went back to his castle and checked on the inu onna. She was still in a deep sleep and he looked over her body. She had small puncture wounds all over from gouging claws and teeth marks that were healing. He wondered what in the seven hells had happened and he sat beside her and waited on Kagura.

I woke up and I was starved. I saw Naraku sleeping next to me. I could not wait to hunt and I leaned down and bit into his chest. He gasped as he came awake and he started moaning. I shut my eyes and savored his yoki laced blood. I finally lifted my head and licked at the fang marks.

“What was that?” he asked as he breathed roughly.

“I am sorry. I needed something in my stomach. I am half uppyr as you know.” I said laying back down.

“Who is Mizuki?” he asked.

I clammed up immediately and he stared at me. I was naked I noticed and he sat up and stared down at me. His hand came between my thighs and cupped my sex. My breathing increased and I met his steady gaze.

“You do not mask in a heavy sleep. How is it that you carry my child?” he demanded.

“Mizuki is a pup in my sire's court.” I said through gritted teeth.

“Answer the second question.” He said as he slid a finger between my folds.

I grew aroused quickly and he slowly massaged my nub. I fought back a moan and I met his eyes.

“I love you. Naraku oh Kamis. Please.” I moaned out.

“You love me. Who is Mizuki?” He said slipping a finger in me as he massaged my nub with a bit more pressure.

“Our daughter. Oh please.” I begged him.

He lowered his lips and suckled a tit. I was sweating profusely and tried to arch my hips for more. He lifted his lips and his eyes were glazed over.

“You said our sons were killed. What did you mean?” he asked biting back a moan himself.

I wrapped a hand around his male flesh and stroked him as he worked me.

“Nori and Ken'ichi. they were our twins. Naraku, I need you. Please my darling. Please do not tease me.” I said crying out.

“How did our sons die?” he asked in a rather emotional tone.

He again began suckling my breast and added another finger to my sheath. He moved them within me languidly. I lifted my head and released my yoki. He yelled out and moaned as I prodded his mind and stroked him within. His questions were forgotten as he gently pushed me to my side and slid into me. I shut my eyes at the exquisite pleasure he invoked in me. My beast was growling in pure bliss as our mate began moving within us.

“Release your yoki. Let me in totally. I swear I will not hurt you.” I moaned out as I grabbed his hand that gripped my hip.

I sensed he recoiled at the idea but I began stroking him inside his own mind what I could. He knew I knew him and he actually lowered his shields to me. I brought forth his youki self totally and began caressing his mind with my own. Our combined yoki was tremendous and I was moaning loudly. I heard him mumbling incoherently as we were consumed in a total melding of our bodies and souls.

“Slip into my mind. See her.” I said clutching his hand tightly.

“I know you. I know you.” He cried again and again.

I let him see our daughter in my mind and he began feverishly kissing and nipping my neck. I heard his gasp as he saw her as she was. He gripped me tighter and his movements were erratic and we moaned out as the exquisite consummation. I again yanked his youki forward and he shouted out loudly and he triggered my own culmination. He held onto me as he jerked from his powerful release. I laid there and I was weeping. I loved this creature more than I could love anyone or anything save my own pups. I would not release him and he was kissing me neck softly.

“Our daughter? She is my first born?” he whispered.

“Hai. She looks just like you and she is so beautiful. Males stare at her now.” I said sleepily.

“What happened to our sons?” he asked in a tortured tone.

“They were murdered. Do not think on it. I cannot dwell on it or it will destroy me.” I said sharply.

“Why are you here?” he asked me.

“You told me once to trust you and not hide from you. Feel me Naraku; feel us. Feel what happens when we make love.” I said pressing his hand to my belly.

His eyes widened and I knew he would do whatever was necessary. He wanted this and it was his youki soul that was present.

“I have to destroy the Shikon. I have to get rid of it for once and for all. You do not need its power. Sense what happens when our yoki mixes.” I whispered in his ear.

I flowed my yoki through him and his eyes widened again.

“I channel you as you channel me.” I said licking along his juncture.

I held out my hand and the Kumosaiga sailed across the room and I wrapped my hand around the hilt. I wrapped his hands around it as well and the blade took on our yoki. It simmered and he gasped loudly.

“You are more powerful without the jewel. You and I complete the other's power. I am your power base as you are mine. This blade bears your fang.” I said in his ear.

“You are my soul mate.” He said aloud.

“Hai.” I said laying down my fang.

I pressed my lips to his juncture and I managed to lay on him. I pressed my fangs in deeply and he again began moaning as I drank from him and pressed my fangs till they would leave my mark. He shuddered under me and arched his own body. I ended up tangled in his limbs and he began kissing and licking his way along my belly and up my torso. He looked up at me and his eyes were smoldering.

“You will tell me what has to take place later. I cannot get enough you right now. Your scent is intoxicating me and I want to drown in it.” He murmured.

“Hai like that. Oh Kamis Naraku.” I cried out as he touched and kissed my body.

“Why are you littered with claw marks and bites?” he asked as his fingers massaged my core.

“We get rough at times!” I said then moaned.

“I did this to you?” he asked surprised.

“Hai. I wanted you angry. You have been so good to me. I wanted you to feel the rage I was feeling.” I murmured.

“Our sons?” he asked determined.

“Please do not mention them!” I said shutting out the pain.

“You said Nori and Ken'ichi.” He stated stroking me quicker.

“Hai. Naraku I cannot take much more at all. Release me or stop.” I begged.

“Will you pass out?” he asked amused.

“I have before.” I said moaning.

His grin was quite wicked and he looked longingly at my breasts but he slid down my body and plunged his tongue into me. I quivered as he tongue was plunged over and over. I felt my nub between his teeth and he nibbled. I felt an immense climax building and he was going to make me feel it. I began jerking my hips. He lifted his head a little and replaced his mouth with his finger.

“Will you collapse if I am in you?” he asked in an almost drunken tone.

Kagura came in and she was mad as hell. There had been a rather rude and belligerent female kumo. She had nearly bitten her head off. This Ishin it seemed was a kumo lord. She paced and waited for Naraku. He was not emerging and she was in a rage. She snuck into his rooms and he was actually fast asleep and entangled with a beautiful inu onna. She covered her mouth and wondered how she could use this information. She heard growling and Naraku lifted his head.

“Get out!” he snapped softly.

“Hai!” she said jumping.

Several moments later he found her and he was completely dressed. He struck her forcefully across the face and hissed.

“How dare you disturb my privacy! What did you find out?” he demanded.

“This Ishin is a kumo lord. He is in Sendai and he is building a castle there. His mate was rather disagreeable.” She said rubbing her jaw.

“Do not think to betray me and especially with that onna! I will kill you without thought.” He said brushing past her.

She was speechless and sighed. She would never be free of the dark hanyou.

I was so drained that I could barely move. Naraku was next to me and he had wild boar on a platter and a pitcher of water. I looked at him gratefully and began consuming the meat and downing the water. It tasted so good as if I had never had anything this wonderful ever. He chuckled and I stared at him with a mouthful of meat. I know I blushed as I swallowed.

“This is a beautiful site.” He laughed.

“Thank you. I was starving.” I mumbled.

“You need something yet you do not say.” He stated.

“I need to find a renowned healer. He can help me. You are mostly tsuchigumo; mostly funnel web to be exact. I just need a little help.” I said softly.

“You do not want me to come.” He said matter of factly.

“Hai. I will come back. Besides I burn for you.” I said leaning forward and kissing his mouth.

He groaned and it felt as if we were newly mated. I shook off my euphoria and slipped from his futon. I was so sore that I had to stretch.

“How many times?” I asked grimacing.

“I do not remember. You still scent like heaven. You scent most strongly along your sternum.” He said groaning softly.

I realized I must be releasing kumo pheromones. I smiled at the idea and slowly dressed. I had overheard his conversation with Kagura and I was going north.

“Be kinder to her. You did create her.” I said softly.

“It is not like having a babe. I have no strong feelings and she would betray me any chance she got!” he growled.

“Naraku, I love you but you should be kinder to her.” I said tying a violet colored obi around my waist.

I realized he had procured me clothing; it was a haori and hakamas. I closed my eyes and let him feel as phantom hands caressed his inner thighs and brushed kisses along his neck. He moaned softly and I walked by him and deposited a kiss on his lips.

“You are telekinesis is powerful.” He breathed.

“You really do not need the Shikon no Tama. You can tap all my yoki; believe me when I say I have not tapped it all.” I said straightening.

He nodded dumbly and I slipped my fang into my obi. I ported away and appeared near Sendai. I sensed kumo everywhere. I saw funnel shaped webs all over the place. This was a death trap to any normal youki. I masked heavily and I walked forward. They would not sense me and I slowly began to climb up the side of the mountain that the Sendai castle was built upon. Thoughts of Ishin crossed my mind and pain was mingled with my passion. I lifted my head and continued to climb. I was not here for him but Nobu.

“I suggest you stop right where you are.” A feminine voice hissed near me.

I looked up and I saw the legendary Akane. I kept my face neutral and I saw that she was hanging on by her silk. Stunning was not a good enough word for her. Her black hair was thick and fell in waves down her back and along her face. Her eyes were obsidian and they were fringed with lush black lashes. Her skin was the color of cream and was smooth. Her haori and hakamas left little to the imagination and her chest was ample and she curved beautifully. Her look was hostile and my feelings of inferiority came back with a vengeance.

“I mean no harm or disrespect. I have heard of the healer known as Nobu and hoped he may help me.” I said bowing my head.

“Get your fucking dog ass out of here.” She said curling her lip.

“I truly need his aid lady kumo.” I said.

“That is Lady Akane to you inu trash!” she said and then she pulled her katana.

I was not expecting it and I jumped back and almost lost my footing. I pulled my fang and began blocking her attacks quickly. Her eyes widened when she saw the motif on my hilt.

“Like it? It is called the Kumosaiga.” I said in a sneer.

“Who are you?” she said hitting my fang harder and nearly slicing my throat.

I was amazed at her sword play and again I felt as if I was nothing. I transformed to my sphere of light and made it to the ground. I watched as she repelled with her silk quickly down the mountain and our fight resumed. I was growing tired too quickly and I needed to end it. I was glad my sleeves of my haori were closer fitting and Ishin's mark was covered. I was stumbling and I back flipped quickly and she missed with a shot of her silk. I grew my yoki whip and I wrapped it around her leg and jerked back. It sliced into her flesh and she grunted. She released her silk again and pinned my hand to a tree. I slowly released my Dakkasou and dissolved it. I waved my arm in an arc and she was thrown backwards several feet. She jumped up and my energy was waning. I held onto a tree and breathed roughly. She released her venom and it burned my skin where it landed. I grimaced and slid down the tree. She came to me and lifted her blade ready to strike.

“Tell Nobu that Lady Sorami was here.” I breathed hard.

“How do you know that name?” she asked looking into my face.

“Get out of my face kumo bitch!” I snarled.

“Lady Akane!” I heard Aya yell.

“Aya! Get Ishin now.” She commanded.

I was trying to not pass out and one tear slipped from my eye. What seemed like hours but was mere minutes and Ishin appeared. My heart clenched painfully and my gut twisted. I was masking still and he leaned down and stared at me with a look of disdain.

“Who are you?” he asked.

“I am not here to harm anyone. I need Healer Nobu.” I said weakly.

“Why would an inu need a kumo healer?” he asked disdainfully.

“Depended on the inu would it not Lord Ishin?” I retorted.

He hauled me up and I was fighting to stay awake.

“What do you mean exactly inu?” he hissed.

“Sorami.” I said fighting the blackness.

“Aya get your brother.” Ishin commanded.

“Surely you are not helping this lying whore!” Akane snapped.

“Not help Akane. I intend to interrogate her.” He said flippantly.

Bitterness washed over me and I had to stay awake to maintain my masking. I looked up and saw Nobu's kind eyes. He lifted me up and he looked me over.

“I shall tend her in my apothecary my lord.” He said gently.

“See to it.” Ishin commanded.

He produced his shoki cloud and pulled us in. We reappeared in his apothecary and he laid me on a small futon.

“Why do you seek me?” he asked softly.

“Too weak. Do you not remember me?” I asked fighting the blackness.

“You seem vaguely familiar. Aya said you mentioned the name Sorami. I saw her die myself.” He said.

“Please help me.” I said dropping the mask.

Several things hit him and the pheromones were one and that he could sense kumo babes within me. His eyes were wide and he looked me over quickly.

“Who are you? Why do you scent of Ishin?” he asked gently as he opened my haori.

“It matters not. One was difficult but two at once is draining me badly. So powerful.” I said laying my head back.

He laid his ear to my stomach and closed his eyes. He looked up and felt my head.

“You carry Ishin's daughter and Hisashi's son. How did this happen?” he asked in total shock.

“Ishin's great grandmother ruled the funnels a very long time ago. She shared her responsibilities with two brothers.” I said closing my eyes.

“You are not from this era.” He said in understanding.

“I am Sorami Nobu. You helped to lead me from the Southern Palace as it was attacked by the dragons.” I said drifting.

“These younglings are powerful. Kamis Hisashi is alive?” he asked stunned.

“In a manner of speaking. I am Sorami's great niece but her reincarnated soul. My mate is that of Hisashi. Nobu, I need my strength to destroy the Shikon no Tama.” I said starting to black out.

He shook me and I blinked at him.

“She really is beautiful, more so than me. No wonder he cannot get over her. She does not disappoint him.” I mumbled.

“Sorami wake up. You are getting delirious.” He said softly.

“No. He says he thought of me but I know he thought of her. He says he loves me but I know he will always love her more.” I muttered.

“Sorami please I need you here. What about the Shikon?” Nobu said.

“He loves Ayana but I realize that somehow she looks a little like her. Better, she is better.” I muttered.

Nobu looked up and Ishin was at the door. He could smell the pheromones from across the castle and this inu carried a kumo babe. Nobu actually masked her scent quicker than Ishin caught and his lord picked up her wrist.

“She has been marked by a funnel.” He said curiously.

“Hai. She has the one on her inner thigh as well.” Nobu answered.

“Who is she?” Ishin demanded.

“She is delirious my lord. She is not making sense.” He replied.

“Get her well. I would like to know why a kumo would lower themselves to mate an inu.” Ishin said disdainfully.

“Ishin she is a beautiful onna!” Nobu said flatly.

“I suppose but why should I give one fig when I am mated to the most beautiful onna there is.” Ishin said staring down at the inu.

Nobu had no idea but somehow this onna was mated to both Ishin and Hisashi. He could delve into her mind but that would be no better than rape. She had said Ayana and he wondered who that was. She needed nourishment and some fluids. She was muttering in her sleep and he listened closely. She was crying out and Akane came in.

“My lady.” He said bowing.

“Who is she Nobu?” she asked bluntly.

“She is a pregnant inu who carries a half kumo babe.” He said flatly.

“Disgusting. Damn inu are good for nothing but food.” She said in anger.

“My lady?” he asked shocked.

“There are inu all over the mainland Nobu. They are arrogant creatures and hai I have killed many.” She said very bluntly.

Akane looked her over and something was not settling in her. She had a sixth sense and hers was telling her that something was off.

“Leave me alone with her Nobu.” Akane said flatly.

“My lady I cannot do that.” He said suddenly.

“You know who she is. I said leave me with her Nobu.” She repeated.

Nobu had no wish to fight someone he normally respected. He could maintain the mask from afar and he stood and bowed. Akane waited and kneeled next to the sleeping onna. She pressed her ear to her belly and she sensed twin babes. One was female and the other male; bitterness stole through her and she had never told Ishin of her even being pregnant. She wrapped her hands around the inu's throat and she knew most inu were immune to a funnel's venom.

I woke up and I was being strangled. I struggled to breathe and I did the one thing I should not and I channeled the pups' yoki. Akane was thrown backwards and hit a wooden pillar with a sickening thud. I sat up and gasped in air. Akane looked at me in hatred and I had no idea why.

“Make another move towards me kumo and you will rue this day.” I growled.

“Why can we not scent who you are whore!” she hissed.

“Because it is none of your fucking business.” I retorted.

“You show up and say a name that is despised here. You mention the whore that was mated to Ishin's elder brother. Hisashi was a murderer and he tore apart this nation.” She said in absolute hatred.

I did not feel like rehashing old events that were long over for me. Ishin and Akane deserved each other as far as I cared at this point. She caught the thought and she jumped up and came at me. She began hitting me and tearing at me with claws. I fought her off but she was hellaciously strong and I struggled. She saw the mark on my wrist and she backhanded me and I fell backwards against the wall.

“I will rip those unnatural creatures from your womb!” she hissed.

I produced a barrier and protected myself. I could pull on the blood tie I shared with Ishin and I was desperate. I mentally pulled on the kumo lord and I felt his astonishment. Akane was feral and she changed form. She was quite frightening and she kept trying to get through my barrier with her spinnerets. It was weakening and it fell. She had long fangs and she drove them through me and pinned me to the wall. Tears poured down my face and I could maintain nothing. She went ballistic and yanked her fangs out and grabbed my arm in her jaws and crushed my arm. I screamed and she was dripping venom. Ishin ran in and he was horrified. Nobu ran in and masked me suddenly. Akane knew for I saw it in her eyes. She changed back to her humanoid self and finished breaking my arm. Ishin hauled her off and she was shrieking. She began fighting him rabidly and I knew profound hatred for this onna. I decided that most kumo onna were evil bitches. My mind was screaming but I held it in. Her fangs had gone straight through me and I slowly stood. She turned in Ishin's arms and growled at me.

“Say your name whore!” she screamed.

“I am Asuna. I am Lady Asuna to you.” I said glowering.

“I suggest you leave inu.” Ishin said flatly.

“I am coming to hate you yet again Ishin. Bastard!” I snarled at him.

He looked at me and there was some recognition.

“Korea.” He said quite suddenly.

“You know this bitch? You know her? She scents of you Ishin! When did you fuck her?” Akane said screeching.

“I have not touched her!” Ishin said flatly.

“No he has not fucked me kumo bitch. I know a different creature than this sniveling angry thing.” I said growling.

My bravado was fake and I backed away slowly. My arm was ruined for the moment. I needed Yasu and I fought back the anguish. I could not port and Nobu stepped up and held onto me.

“Nobu, I suggest you leave her be.” Akane said furiously.

“My lady you are being irrational right now.” Nobu said producing a shoki cloud.

Ishin eyed me and Nobu pulled me in. I had felt the healer pull the palace image from my mind and we were in the West. I was crying softly and Nobu was comforting me.

“How far do you come back?” he asked.

“More than a century.” I said softly.

“Akane must be dead.” He said.

“It matters not. She will never be dead for Ishin.” I said straightening.

“You have an inu healer here?” he asked.

“Hai. Let me speak.” I said.

I moved forward and the soldiers saw my state and their jaws dropped. I yipped and gave soft barks and one picked me up. Nobu nodded and disappeared. I was taken straight to Yasu and he looked horrified at my state. The guard bowed and he slipped away.

“What in Kamis name did you tangle with?” he asked horrified.

“A female kumo. Please my arm is useless for the moment.” I said softly.

“Who are you?” he demanded.

“Come Hanori you are not a fool.” I said leveling him a stare.

“When do you come from?” he asked bluntly.

“Tamiko sent me back to help destroy the Shikon no Tama. I am Lord Sesshomaru's eldest pup and I want the damn thing gone!” I snapped.

“This will hurt missy.” He said setting my arm.

“Thank you.” I said as he began splinting my arm.

“You are gonna need to get well first before you go after the Shikon. Your chichi has not been home in almost five years.” He said as he worked.

“I know. He is mated you know.” I said grimacing.

“The entire West knows he took a foreign onna to mate. Your grandmere is livid.” He said.

“Stupid whore!” I snapped.

“Well she is still not well loved.” He chuckled.

“Check my pups?” I asked.

“I thought I sensed that.” He said.

He poked and prodded and looked up at me.

“You carry kumo twins!” he said surprised.

“Hai. I need to go.” I said standing.

“Those pups are vastly powerful. Why are you hiding their sire?” he asked.

“Because it is my business. This is not the first kumo babe I have born so fear not Yasu.” I said bowing.

I ported away and settled in a tree near the northern castle. I was crying and I wiped my eyes. I was so exhausted that I did not sense the aura near me. I suddenly heard a branch snap and I pulled the Kumosaiga. Ishin was in his true form and he was nearing me.

“You came upon me! I am not in your tree kumo.” I snarled.

He changed form and moved towards me slowly.

“Back off!” I growled.

“I am sorry what Akane did. She has a very jealous nature.” He said putting up his hands.

“In your kumo whores you like them insane!” I said looking away.

“I saw you in Korea nearly seven centuries ago. The details are hazy but why do I not remember clearly?” he asked.

“Because I willed it that way. Go away and go back to Akane. You fucking idolize her anyway.” I said with a pain in my chest.

“I feel your pain as if I am bound to you.” He said sitting some distance from me.

“You are nothing to me. I was Sorami in the past. Hai I was Hisashi's whore. Go ahead and say it.” I said glaring at him.

“What in the Kamis name is going on? My mate is convinced I have betrayed her and I am not so sure I did not.” He said perplexed.

“Not Akane. Never Akane. Assure her that you shall always be the virtuous Ishin with her. No one compares to her. You can say and do anything but it is still about her! Ayana looks just like her!” I screamed.

He looked confused and I was on a roll.

“No wonder you fucked the foreign kumo! She must have reminded you of your precious Akane. You would never betray Akane but you gleefully betray me. No wonder you fell to pieces when Ayana was murdered, you even named her for Akane. Go away.” I said sobbing.

He felt every bit of my pain and anguish. I suddenly stood up and backhanded him hard.

“It is because of you that my pups died. It is all because of you! I asked Kaito for Ayana because I was losing you. You are killing me Ishin. You will be my death and somehow it will not compare to Akane.” I said jumping down from the tree.

My emotions were all over the board and I heard him jump down next to me. I was still masking and he turned me and made me look up at him. He was still very confused and I decided to hurt him terribly.

“Why can I not scent you?” he asked softly.

“You want to know? Akane was right and I scent of you. I have born you one daughter and I am having another. The hitch in this whole thing is that you will not be near her. You lie to me and yourself about Akane. I heard your words and my heart cannot take anymore pain from you.” I said shaking terribly.

He held me steady and I pulled on the blood bond and our mating. He groaned and backed into the tree trunk. I moved to him and held his jaw.

“I have loved you and nearly died trying to give you what you desired. You wanted a daughter and I gave you Ayana. You swear you love me but I have sensed the same way that Akane sensed the truth about me. You cannot give her up at all. I have a mind to make sure you have her and not me. I am tired of hurting Ishin.” I said clutching my chest.

He looked stricken and I sighed. He grabbed me and utter helplessness and that same confusion was displayed.

“You say all this yet it has not happened. I do not know you.” He said trying to sound strong.

I looked up at him and I lowered his mouth to mine. I slowly kissed him and he fought it for just a moment and he wrapped his arms around me suddenly. I slowly imparted my memories to him and he began groaning under the onslaught. He ripped his lips from mine and he held on and was rigid.

“Why show me this?” he demanded.

“I know not. I shall make it so you forget. I am wallowing.” I said bitterly.

He looked at me and I was a stranger but then I was not. I had shown him memories of us in rather passionate moments. I had shown him Vietnam and his cheeks were burning. I hated Akane with my whole being and I was jealous of her. I hated that he should love her so much. I suddenly pressed myself to him and groaned in his ear.

“I love you. Ishin, I love you so much.” I said nipping at his lips.

He tried not to respond but I knew him. It occurred that I was acting no better then Teiran Huber and it was a sobering thought for the moment but then my beast snarled in my mind. This was our Ishin and not some kumo slut's. I undid his hakamas and slipped my hand around his girth. I was growling softly and began stroking him lightly. I was breathing in his ear and he began moaning softly. I tightened my hold on him and stroked him slightly faster.

“You were born in Korea and your sire's name was Gaku Jouichi and your mother was an ookami tsuchigumo named Fusae. Your elder brother's name was Hisashi and you think he betrayed you. You hate to couple unless it is complete in fact you demand it.” I whispered in his ear.

His breathing was quickened and I continued to work his male flesh lovingly. He began thrusting in my hand and he was groaning loudly.

“Let it go Ishin. Please.” I begged in his ear.

“Kamis!” he groaned as I brushed his mind.

I filled him and was inside of him. He lost his will and moved desperately in my grasp. I felt his release and he cried out quite loudly. I slid down his body and his eyes widened.

“What are you doing?” he asked in a thick voice.

“Watch.” I commanded softly.

I licked his member and laved my tongue to clean him of any of his essence. I groaned at his taste and I cleaned my hand of it as well. He was stiff and his face was full of need. I could not deny him and I shed my haori and hakamas. He pulled me to him and he was shaking.

“This is wrong.” He groaned.

I laid myself on the ground and I opened my thighs. He saw his mating mark and he looked up at me. I knew he would not have marked Akane this way until she was pregnant with Karu. I moved my jaw to the side and showed him his mark on me neck. He tasted his mark on my juncture and began moaning more. My arm was in the way and he sighed. I refused to be put off and I scrambled to my knees.

“Sit.” I commanded softly.

He looked quizzically at me and I sat in his lap and lowered myself onto him. I threw my head back and cried out my pleasure as his member slid against my walls. Ishin wrapped his arms around me and I grunted slightly in pain but it was replaced as our movements caused us to drown in sensation.

“How?” he groaned.

“I stood in your way.” I cried out.

I flooded him immediately with my whole self and he was shaking at my open approach to this coupling. My masking slipped up in my passion and he bathed in the scent. He began growling in deeper passion. He was reacting to the scent of his young within me. He carefully moved me and I was under him.

“You have my girl. Oh Kamis you have my girl.” He moaned deeply.

“Tell me.” I said trying to talk.

“So beautiful. I feel her.” He said burying his nose into my neck.

He was growling and his movements were smooth and I arched against him. He did hesitate and he let me in his soul. I could not breathe and I was coming undone. I made a decision in my soul and my family would center in Sendai from now on. I cried out louder and I moaned his name over and over. He scratched my nub and my body reacted quite violently.

“Kamis!” he yelled out as my walls clutched him tightly.

We spasmed against the other and he kissed me as if he was starved. I reacted and my good hand dragged across his back. He slowly pulled away from me and he pulled out slowly. He kneeled between my parted thighs and he pressed his claw against my opposite thigh and marked me. He looked up at me and I saw amazing passion.

“I am sorry. I should not have forced that.” I said in a whisper.

“Why are you here?” he asked me gently.

“I have to destroy the Shikon.” I answered.

“That evil thing?” he asked.

“Hai. I need you to stay away from Sendai for a little bit and I need to do something for you.” I said holding his face.

“You want me to forget?” he asked suddenly.

“Hai. You belong to her.” I said unable to say her name.

Reality came crashing down and he looked stricken.

“I have never betrayed her.” He said in a fierce whisper.

“No and you never will. I know now that I will never hold that place in your heart. You may love me but you will never totally be mine.” I said pulling myself together.

“What do you want me to say?” he asked.

“Nothing Ishin. I have done what my enemy did. You are a hard kumo to get over.” I said as I straightened.

“Get over?” he asked suddenly angry.

“Hai when I get home I am releasing you from our mating.” I said nonplussed.

“We just shared what we did and you say you want to leave me?” he asked furious.

“I am second to no one.” I said calmly.

“Who are you that you say these things?” he yelled.

“I am the granddaughter of the Inu no Taisho! I am daughter and heir to the Western Lord. I rule Zhejiang, Qinghai, Shanghai, and Hong Kong! I am mother to the Manchurian Lord and soon to be master of all of China proper, I rule the Northern Lands in which we now stand and you ask me who I am? Who the hell are you?” I snarled.

“I am Lord Ishin and apparently I have fathered one daughter by you and you carry another. That is who I am. I need not list my accomplishments as yours are many and obviously great. Loving and being loved is good enough for me!” he said in anger.

“I am not your ebony haired goddess. I stood in the way of your objectives and you got used to me. I saved your son and I was there. Oh Kamis this hurts. I love you so much and you have broken my heart. My pups died because of you Ishin. I lost Hiroto, Hana, Nori, and Ken'ichi. Ayana was saved because you were falling to pieces and I could not stand the idea that you were suffering. I had a Kami bring her back for you and I am still not worthy of your whole heart. You fucked a foreign kumo whore and got her pregnant. She wanted you and you gave her a son as she murdered my babies. Loving you hurts way too much Ishin.” I said holding onto the tree.

He looked horrified and I moved away from him.

“Please do not go back before I can get the draught to make you forget. I hate her but I will not hurt her the way Teiran hurt me. Besides Karu is such a good boy. I have an objective and you waste my time.” I said softly.

“You are cruel in your words.” He said choking on them.

“You said it yourself that you are mate to the most beautiful onna and you suppose I may be beautiful. You say too many things one way Ishin but your actions scream another. I had no right to touch you in this era. You are not mine but then you never were. I was a fool.” I said softly.

He looked at me stricken and I looked away.

“Forgive me please.” I said bowing.

“What happened to babe that I sired with the foreign kumo?” he asked.

“Katsu is mine. Teiran took from me and she gave me back one son.” I said moving away.

I ported away and appeared near Tamiko's hut. I knocked on the doorway and she answered. I slipped in and bowed. She handed me the draught without question and I bowed. I ported back to Ishin and he stood exactly where he was. I had already put the potion on my lips and I leaned into kiss him.

“I will remember nothing?” he asked.

“Hai not a damn thing.” I said coldly.

“Fuck you!” he said pushing me away.

“Excuse me? I am trying to do the right thing.” I said growling.

“You want me to forget that you have my daughter, you will keep her from me in your hatred. NO you will not take her from me. You will not keep my son either!” he snarled.

I said nothing and I moved on him quickly. I pressed my lips to his and I delved my tongue into his mouth. He growled and fought me but he sagged suddenly. I held him up and managed to jump up into the tree. I settled him carefully and I jumped down. I would write a letter and tell the kumo where to find their lord. I looked down at his beautifully angelic face and the horrid pain settled in my chest again.

“Goodbye Ishin.” I said and then I dropped down.

I did not think I had the strength to find the Shikon and I was getting weaker. I could not believe the strength of the pups drained my yoki so much. I was alone and I shadowed my family as they searched for the Shikon. Naraku had removed himself totally from the situation. I had sat down with him and he wanted our family. He wanted the love and our pups and he wanted the power. I begged him to let me purge the ningen from him. He had pondered it and he decided to let me. This time would be different I knew. I told him everything and I found out that he was more than willing which shocked me. I had watched from a distance as Ishin had been found by Akane and she was suspicious and angry. She would never know what had happened and I would not be that onna. I avoided any and all kumo. I had been here for several months and I had to sleep much more often. I was nestled up against a tree and I was sleeping deeply. I was showing quite a bit as the twins were going to be big. I pathed to them every chance I got and I wept as I felt Ishin's daughter. I named them Iyo and Norikazu. I was dreaming of happier times when I heard laughter and yelling. I woke up and was bleary eyed. Not ten feet away stood my sire and I bowed my head in respect. His face never held shock and his held shock. I groaned and I tried to stand.

“Who are you?” he demanded.

“No one Lord Sesshomaru-sama.” I said in a barely audible tone.

“Do not lie to this Sesshomaru!” he growled.

“I am a silver bitch is all my lord. I am sorry if you are displeased.” I said bowing the best I could.

“Unmask your scent.” He demanded.

I sighed and lifted my scent enough that he would know I was a very close relative. His eyes widened and he looked me over.

“Why are you here and who are you?” he asked,

“I was sent to help destroy the Shikon. I am an ally and you are my lord.” I said softly.

“Answer the question!” he said nearing me.

“I am Asuna.” I said looking away.

“I chose that name for a girl pup that I may have.” He said raising a brow.

“I am that pup.” I said closing my eyes.

“Who is your mother?” he demanded.

“Lady Augusta Orlovich, your mate.” I said testily.

“Augusta gives me a pup.” He said to himself.

“She gives you several now may I go back to sleep?” I asked.

“Impertinent!” he snarled.

“You will learn to love me. Father, I am tired and you are the same in any era. I need sleep and my yoki is drained.” I said settling back down.

“How many?” he asked softly.

“Six.” I said closing my eyes.

“And you are number what?” he asked me intrigued.

“One, I am your first born. Chichi please! I am exhausted.” I said trying to go back to sleep.

“Why are you so drained?” he asked sitting by me.

“These babes are powerful.” I murmured.

“You are mated?” he asked.

“Hai. No their sire is not here in this era. Please tell Rin and Kohaku to quiet down please. Rin never changes.” I said yawning.

“She is still alive?” he asked shocked.

“Hai. You mate her to an inu noble outside of Kyoto. I suspect you did it so she would gain his life span. He loves her and she him. You hand picked him and she is my sister.” I said with my eyes closed.

“I am quite surprised.” He said softly.

“I have shocked the stripes right off you my lord.” I chuckled.

“You did not inherit any of my markings.” He said lifting my chin.

“I did. This is a spell.” I said flatly.

“Remove it.” He commanded.

I carried the poultice with me and I moved to the small hot spring and scrubbed my face. I used my sleeve to dry my face and I looked at him. His eyes widened and pride was evident on his face.

“You look just like me.” He said amazed.

“Hai. I am accused of being a cold hearted bitch all the time.” I joked.

He leveled me a stared and I chuckled again. I again closed my eyes and he just sat in my presence. I fell into a deeper sleep and I felt safe. When I woke up my head was in his lap and my mother was staring at me. She reached shaking hands over and touched my face. I realized they must have lost Katsurou already and she was crying.

“Mother? I am fine.” I said bewildered.

“You are mine?” she asked.

“Hai. I assume that since I am half uppyr.” I said sitting up.

“You said to Sesshomaru you have five siblings?” she asked.

“Hai. I and Osamu are born first. Youshiro is next and then Yoshiko. Katsurou and then you have Masami.” I said leaning against the tree.

“Twins? I have twins?” she said beginning to weep.

“Mother please. Hai you have twins. You are one and Touga had his twin. It runs on both sides of the family. You know this as Uncle Inuyasha produced the boys already.” I said rubbing my temples.

They stared at me stunned and I pulled myself up. The twins were active and I rubbed my lower back. I realized the timing of everything was very subtly off but it could be repaired. If Naraku bowed out then I wondered who had the Shikon. The answer hit me like lightening.

“Has Magatushi been killed?” I asked suddenly.

“No.” they answered in unison.

“Kamis you two are too sweet! It is nauseating.” I said rolling my eyes.

My sire stared at my mother in profound love and I again rolled my eyes. If Magatushi had not died then that meant he was alive in my era as well.

“Why do I have to fight everyone else's enemies?” I growled.

They stared at me in confusion and I sighed again. I stiffened when I felt an aura. I began growling and I turned slowly. Akane was staring at me with profound hatred.

“You are quite a ways from Sendai kumo.” I stated coldly.

“What did you do to my mate?” she said in a threatening tone.

“What do you mean?” I asked in irritation.

“He is not himself. He and I have been together for centuries and he sees you and he withdraws into himself. What did you do!” she said.

“Whatever goes on in your mate's head is your problem and not mine Akane. You are a Kamis damn fucking goddess amongst onna.” I cursed at her.

“Shut your mouth.” She snarled.

My sire and mother were shocked at my little interaction.

“Who fathered your babe?” she said stalking closer.

“No one you know.” I said in a bored tone.

“You lie. I know him quite well. When did you touch my mate? You are a whore!” she hissed.

“Lady Akane go home. I did not touch your mate. I have my own issues to deal with and frankly you kumo get on my last nerves. I hate you with a passion and I am bored.” I said shrugging.

“I have been unable to give him a son or daughter. We have tried and I have failed. I scented your pheromones and you carry his daughter.” She said in a tortured voice.

“You scented wrong. I am Sorami and what you scent is Hisashi. I want nothing to do with you or Lord Ishin and I know you both want nothing to do with me.” I said hatefully.

She was taken back and shocked. A blood relative would scent almost the same and she believed me. She stepped back and she stared at me as if I was a specter.

“You have been reborn.” She said shocked.

“Hai I am not afraid to do that it seems. Now leave me alone and tend your own mate. No one compares to the Kami that is you.” I said bowing.

I turned on my heel and walked away from her. She suddenly was on me and I threw her with my mind. She landed on her feet and it seemed she had no problem trying to kill me or my pups. I drew Kumosaiga and she actually cowered.

“I will kill you. I am tired of living in your shadow the way I had to live in a fucking miko's! I ache terribly and it will never get better. I want peace and I will not get it. You on the other hand have your mate who you have been mated to forever. Go home and enjoy him. I have no such luxury as my home was ripped asunder.” I said sighing.

“Why should you live in my shadow if Ishin means nothing to you.” She growled.

“Because all the kumo venerate you and love you. You make me sick honestly but I have sensed how much you are worshipped by your mate. Go home and leave me the fuck alone!” I snarled.

My chest was hurting terribly again and my mother sensed it. My throat ached as I wanted to wail. I kept my bored expression and she produced a shoki cloud and disappeared. I sheathed my fang and I stumbled forward and held onto a large boulder. I began sobbing and I wanted to crawl within myself. I felt my mother's arm around me and I held on tightly. I cried myself to sleep and I blamed my hormones.

“What is wrong with her Augusta?” he asked softly.

“She loves that kumo's mate but he broke her heart. She carries his daughter.” She said brushing her daughter's hair.

“Good Kamis.” He said softly.

“Hai. She is shielding heavily but I feel a terrible pain in her heart.” She said scowling.

“She is supposed to help destroy the Shikon?” he asked.

“She is powerful mate. She is very powerful I sense.” She said sadly.

Augusta looked at her daughter and she had felt the crippling pain this young onna had been through. She sighed and held onto her future pup.

I sat in Tamiko's hut and I had explained that I needed to go home for now. She nodded and she had already wiped my parents' memories. Naraku required no wiping and I was sent home for now. I was in the Northern Castle and Naraku entered our rooms. He looked down at me in love and more. He leaned down and began kissing me ardently. He remembered before and the now. He was unusual that way. I took his offering greedily and I allowed myself to be taken. My pups were together again and I was miserable. Ishin actually had to seek me out and I stared out into the forests surrounding the Northern Castle.

“Why will you not see me? I know something happened in the past.” He said in a growl.

“Nothing happened. You lowered yourself to mate this inu. Akane was quite lovely and her fangs pierced straight through me. Your behavior makes perfect sense now Ishin. I want to be released from our mating. I do not want to feel anything for you anymore.” I said tonelessly.

“I do not remember any of what you say! What have I done that you say this?” he asked in a pained voice.

“Ayana looks like her or have you not noticed? You lied to me when you said you thought of me when you took Teiran Huber. You thought of Akane. I did this dance with Naraku and Kikoyo. You will not let her go and I cannot live up to such a creature nor would I want to. I wanted a second chance with you and I wanted us to be a family. Alas between us there will always be Akane. You asked me what did I want you to say and you would say the same. I am tired and this has drained me. I have no energy left as I am truly broken. I have no joy Ishin. I wish for nothing and there is no point.” I said pulling myself to standing.

“You have to tear us apart because you will not let what happened go. Akane is dead and has been. When you saw me she was alive and hai I loved her. I cannot convince you that I love you most passionately. You see it as a competition and it is the past! You wish for us to be done then so be it. I shall not torture you with my presence. I said it before and loving you is too hard!” he said in a snarl.

I was shaking and I picked up a statuette of a Buda and threw it at him. I would not let him scent me and he truly had no idea who I carried.

“She was a bigot by the way. She hated inu for no good reason and you let her!” I yelled.

“Why not? You are a hateful, cold female. You want me to compare you to her? She did not feel the need to argue with me every second. She allowed me to love her and never questioned it. She knew how to be happy.” He said cruelly.

“I hate you! I. Hate. You!” I screamed.

“Go ahead. You are good at driving away those who love you the most. The only one that has put up with you has been Naraku and even he gets fed up with you!” Ishin snapped.

I began breathing too fast and I got up. He glared at my stomach and I had to move slowly to the doorway.

“Leave.” I said through pain.

“What the hell is wrong with you?” he snapped.

I closed my eyes and slowly sank to the floor. I was being shaken roughly and Ishin looked down at my stomach in anger. I was weak and shut my eyes.

“Whose babe do you carry?” he asked in fury.

“None of your business.” I said in a dark tone.

“Tell me who!” he growled furiously.

“Why do you care?” I asked.

“Because I am ashamed to say that I try to convince myself that Akane was my soul mate! I try to tell myself that I did my best by her and I met you. Every time I thought I got you out of my head you forced yourself back in. It tore my gut and made me vomit that you loved another. I became consumed with you in my heart and my very soul. You constantly tear mine out and say deal with it. You are a monster! Who is the father!” he screamed at me.

“You wish you knew.” I said cruelly.

He raised his hand and he was being eaten with jealousy. He shook me again roughly and his eyes were blazing. He backhanded me and I growled.

“You had better tell me. I am fixing to kill you.” He said in horrendous anger.

“Do it.” I said gritting my death.

He actually put his hands around my throat but he did not squeeze.

“Go to hell. Burn for all I care. You sat there and espoused your righteous anger at me and you turn around and show up pregnant. Who did you fuck Asuna after we shared what we did?” He hissed.

“I shall say it was good and brought me all kinds of pleasure.” I said smirking in malice.

Hatred contorted his beautiful face and he smacked me over and over. I ended up biting his hand and I struggled up. His beast had control of him and he grabbed me. He ripped my kimono from me and I struggled hard against his hold. He was being so cold and hateful and he was behind me. My eyes widened and I fought harder. He surged in me and he was punishing me. I cried out in pain and screamed.

“Who?” He snarled.

“Ishin stop.” I cried.

“Tell me who!” he screamed in my ear.

I shut down as he ravaged me. There was a small part of me that gloried in him but I began shrieking. Something snapped in him and he pulled out of me. He fell back horrified at his actions and I was shaking. I crawled away from him and he stared out into nothing.

“I shall make sure your things are moved from my palaces.” He said dumbly.

I stood up and had my ruined kimono in my hand. I had hurt him terribly and I suffered for it. I gripped my stomach and cried out. He was by my side and he took off his haori and wrapped me in it.

“Kamis! Asuna you are bleeding.” He said stricken.

“Get Nobu.” I said dully.

He ported out quickly and I moved slowly towards my rooms I shared with Naraku. I made it and sank upon the futon. I was getting dizzy and I lay down. Nobu came into the room quickly and he opened my thighs. I heard a sudden intake of breath and I saw Ishin. He was by my side in an instant and he made me look at him.

“Why? Why would you do that to me?” he said shaking.

“You do not love me as you did her. You never did and never will. I saw it for myself when I was sent back.” I mumbled.

“You are stupid!” he yelled.

“Ishin!” Nobu snapped.

“Nobu?” I asked him.

“You are bruised is all. You need to stay abed to be sure of their safety.” He said softly.

“Talk to me Asuna. Now! Tell me now.” He growled.

“Iyo is ours and Norikazu belongs to our other self.” I said trying to drift.

“Twins? You are having twins?” he asked making me look at him.

“Hai. I wanted us to have our family back. I wanted us to work again.” I said closing my eyes.

“Unmask your scent.” He commanded.

I did as he asked and he closed his eyes. The scent was stronger because of the two babes. He lowered his nose to my juncture and breathed in deeply. Nobu retreated from the room and Ishin looked down at me in anger and betrayal. I rolled away from him and began crying yet again. I remembered being this emotional with Hiroto and Kazuo.

“Why do you think I loved Akane more than you?” he asked in a fierce tone.

“I saw how you looked at her. You do things that are hard to reconcile and I am tired of trying to reconcile. Truly you do things that make me question your feelings.” I stated dejectedly.

“As if you do not?” he retorted.

“Ishin see to my things. There has always been pain and sorrow between us. I apparently am no good for you. She at least knew how to be happy.” I said bitterly.

“I have told you over and over that hai I did love her but what I feel for you is ten times more powerful. Hai she was a beautiful onna and you call her a goddess, you are more beautiful than she. I desecrated her memory and we conceived Ayana right before her shrine! I did not become this insane about her or for her. She knew that I thinking when I saw you in the past. She is the one I wronged because it was you I wanted. You wiped my memory but I knew I saw you. Tell me what happened.” He growled.

“I did what I should not have. I worked you until you gave in and we made love. I feel terrible but I tried to justify it by your mating marks.” I said dully.

“You showed me the marks I made on you? I never strayed from her with anyone else Asuna. I killed the onna that tried to tempt me. I said nothing and he sighed. He lifted his hand to touch my belly and then dropped it.

I watched as he left and I did nothing. I allowed sleep to overcome me.

“You want me to send you back?” Tamiko asked.

“Hai.” I said softly.

“When you resolve this can you please get back on task and help destroy the Shikon?” she asked perplexed.

“Hai.” I said softly.

“Good luck.” She said sighing.

She did her normal thing and I stepped through the portal. My back ached terribly and the little ones were so incredibly active. I did not know when I was but I was in Sendai. I tried to ease away from the auras I felt and I put up my mask. I slowly worked my way away from the city and I saw a huge funnel shaped web in the forest. I felt incredibly foolish and I moved away from the web. Anger consumed me at Ishin's words and I walk straight up to his web; I would recognize his handiwork anywhere. I yanked on his silk and I felt him stir. He crawled out in his kumo form and he looked down at me. It was so strange to see such intelligence in such a fearsome beast. I could sense his confusion and he was trying to place me.

“Will you speak with me kumo?” I called out.

He still just stared at me and I could sense some recognition in him. He did the last thing I expected and crawled right back into his web. I stood there indignantly and growled.

-Come out you eight legged coward! - I growled in his mind.

He still did nothing and I was losing my temper. I climbed up his web and I looked down into the opening. He was at the bottom and he stared at me.

“You know me. You feel confusion because I blocked your memories.” I said softly.

He crawled up his web so fast that it startled me. I stared into his kumo eyes and he was trying desperately to place me. He would have impressions and there was no telling what ghostly images he was seeing. Ishin did not like feeling vulnerable and apparently he felt less so as this form.

“Fine since you refuse to change form then listen.” I said annoyed.

He still stared at me and I just held on to his funnel web.

“I am not frightened of you and I find this form beautiful. You are a very distinct kind of kumo and much prettier than I have seen.” I said softly.

-Pretty? - He asked laughing in my mind.

“He speaks! Hai pretty. You are incredibly beautiful in your other form as well.” I said looking at him.

I reached out and touched one of his legs. He jerked back and I touched him again. He retreated into his web and I grew bolder. I climbed up and slid down his funnel and straight into him. I rubbed his belly and I heard a mental groan. He changed form and stared at me.

“You should know where you are touching before you do.” He said tightly.

“I touched you right about here.” I said as a claw traced through his hakama.

“I am mated inu.” He said roughly.

“I know. I have met your fearsome mate. Her name is Lady Akane and she is lovely.” I said evenly.

“Why do I not remember?” he demanded.

“Because I was wrong and I am here to apologize. I have wronged you on so many levels and I pray you can forgive me.” I said sighing.

“I feel as though I know you well.” He said staring at me.

“Hai. You know me well. I am sorry Lord Ishin.” I said repressing savage self hatred.

“Asuna. Your name is Asuna.” He said suddenly.

“Hai.” I nodded.

“Who is Ayana?” he demanded.

“My daughter. I pray you stay well Ishin.” I said starting to climb up.

“I cannot take not knowing. Tell me who you are to me!” he growled.

“No one but poison. You deserve better than to know me. Please quit asking questions. I am cumbersome in my state but could you help me out?” I asked.

I felt a hand on my shoulder and I suppressed the savage need course through me. I suppressed my groans and he ran a hand down my arm and he was breathing hard.

“Why do I feel this? Why do I feel this powerful need?” he asked in my ear.

“No reason. You probably feel my attraction. You are a very desirable male.” I said biting my lip.

He was pressed behind me and he lifted his fingers to touch my skin. I realized he was trying to feel the subtle vibrations and try to recognize them. Ishin was mine totally. She would never have him the way I did. He had passed out after our marathon love making and I moved to my haori. I applied the liquid to my lips and kissed him deeply. He groaned as I would not stop. Finally I pulled back and his eyes were glazed and he succumbed to the draught. I went about cleaning him up and I licked the wounds to seal them. I pulled his hakama back on and settled him peacefully. He was gone in a very deep sleep and I slipped away. Tamiko had provided my return route. I masked myself totally and felt Akane's aura. I hid amongst the pillars and she went to Ishin.

“Ishin?” she asked sitting by him.

She shook him hard and he did not wake up.

“Ishin!” she yelled.

She ran quickly and I heard her yell for Nobu. The kumo healer followed the ebony haired onna and he looked over Ishin carefully.

“Akane he just sleeps deeply.” He said calming her.

“He did this a few years ago when the inu freak was here.” She said in anger.

“I do not know what to say my lady.” Nobu shrugged.

“Has he rutted?” she asked.

“Not that I can tell.” He said looking around.

“There are gouges on the futon.” She said getting furious.

“My lady no offense but the palace hears you and my lord occasionally.” He said smirking.

“Hai you are right.” She sighed.

Nobu chuckled and he got up and walked slowly. Akane ported out and Nobu motioned for me to follow him. I smiled and he led me to the apothecary.

“You have balls coming back.” He said gently.

“Sorry. He told me to.” I said sheepishly.

“Let me check the babes.” He said

I laid back and he listened to my belly and he helped me take off my hakamas. He checked me and looked at me.

I nodded and I produced the amulet and broke it. I stepped through and I was home in the West. I went to my chambers and put on a pale blue hanfu. I ported back to Sendai and I moved slowly. I wondered if my session with Ishin did bring on labor.

“Haha!” Mizuki said as she ran to me.

“Hello my girl. Katsu is here and hungry I hope.” I said holding my belly.

“Hai. Just in time. The nurse was fixing to feed him. Uncle Ishin is not here. Chichi is but they do not speak.” She said.

“They will.” I said smiling.

“Ishin is where?” I asked.

“Down in the valley hunting.” She said hugging me.

The babes moved as their sister pathed to them and kissed my belly. She ran off and I went to Katsu and nursed him myself. His eyes had darkened and they were an odd mixture of dark gray and brown. His little hands fisted as he fed and he gurgled as he did. I fed him till he fell asleep and I handed him to Zhou. She walked him and laid him in his cradle. I watched Hikari sleep and swooped down and kissed her. I ported to the valley and I felt a tremendous evil and then it was gone. I looked around and then ventured towards Ishin. He had a huge open web spun and he actually slept in his true form. I slowly crept up his silk and stopped moving when he shifted. I slowly reached him and I began rubbing his belly. He stirred and looked at me. I knew what I was doing and he trembled slightly.

“Ishin.” I whispered as I lightly ran my hands up his arachnid leg and the ultra sensitive hairs on it.

He transformed suddenly and he looked at me with mixed emotion.

“Ishin.” I stated gently.

“What Asuna?” he asked.

“I went back.” I said softly.

“I do not remember.” He said looking up.

“I did.” I said touching his face.

“Look your feelings had merit and we do nothing but fight.” He said not looking at me.

“Why did she not allow certain intimacies with you?” I asked sitting next to him.

He looked up and looked at me strangely.

“I never understood it. She would close herself off that way.” He shrugged.

“What do you mean?” Ishin asked looking at me.

I moved deeper into the forest and I again felt that terrible evil. A beautiful creature that was fair of hair and had blood red slashes on his cheeks.

“Well you are the progeny of that slut and the dog.” He said in a deep voice.

“Not slut but hai I am theirs.” I said coldly.

“I am Magatushi and you will be mine.” He said and he had my throat.

I gasped at the incredible yoki coming off of him and I struggled. I tried to scream and I lifted my hand and sank my claws into the creature's arm. He barely grunted and threw me from him and I hit a tree.

“Ishin.” I breathed out.

“There is a barrier up. You have much power that will be mine and I will finish what that coward Naraku could not. The jewel was not completed little inu and I will complete it. I really should thank the hanyou for freeing me.” He laughed.

I realized he must have been dormant and I was in pain. In fact I was in very horrific pain.

-ISHIN! NARAKU!!!- I screamed with my mind.

I felt a stir on my conscious and I tried to stand. Magatushi laughed cruelly. He stepped forward and sat in front of me.

“I have never seen a pregnant youki before. Shall I eat your young?” he said laughing.

I rolled and crawled a little. I felt horrendous pressure and bloody fluid pooled between my legs. The youki from the Shikon moved towards me again and I threw him with a wave of my arm. He landed badly himself and his barrier fell. I tried to port but Magatushi was on me in second. I gasped as he strangled me and I watched as a bony appendage pierced the youki and I saw Ishin's fan blade. Magatushi broke Naraku's extension and turned.

“Well well well. You still live. You protect an inu now?” Magatushi said rising and sneering.

“Ishin take her!” Naraku commanded.

“Oh no Ishin you will not. I will crush her throat.” Magatushi said laughing.

“Leave her out of this Magatushi! You face me!” Naraku growled.

“Care for this onna do you? What happened to the great and fearsome Naraku? You became pussy whipped. What is so spectacular about her cunt Naraku? I seem to remember you having several lovers.” Magatushi said laughing cruelly.

“Face me!” He snarled.

“Well I have a problem old friend. You see I want the rest of the jewel and you are the one that had it last.” He said smirking.

My throat was swollen and the pressure in my loins was unbearable. I could sense Naraku's fear and Ishin's as well. I closed my eyes and I channeled Naraku; my mate suddenly fell to his knee and Magatushi held his head. He shrieked and staggered backwards.

“This is not over Naraku!” he yelled.

He disappeared and I struggled to sit up. I was trying to breathe deeply but I was wheezing. Naraku scrambled as well as Ishin to my side. Naraku did not think and he produced his miasma and pulled us all into it. I was on the floor and the pressure again was terrible. I grabbed Naraku's hand and Ishin's shoulder and I had to bear down. My throat was swollen and all that was heard was a whimper. I heard Ishin scream for Nobu and I grabbed his shoulder painfully. Ishin grunted as bone was heard cracking. I fell against Naraku and again pushed. The stretching and the burning were horrible. I kept pushing with all my might as Naraku moved and he gasped.

-What? - I screamed in his mind.

“Asuna, the babe is backwards but it is almost here. Bear down.” He commanded with a shaky voice.

I held myself up and I pushed with everything I had and I again felled Naraku a little as I yanked on his yoki. I intended to use Ishin's next if I had to and it felt like I had to.

“Nobu!” Ishin screamed again in thought and mind.

“Asuna I think you need to give a smaller one.” Naraku said weakly.

I was draining him I realized but I pulled on Ishin and he grunted again as I channeled his. I usually channeled Naraku simply because it was familiar. Ishin's yoki was wild and I felt a surge of energy. I bore down and I felt the pup slip out. I saw Naraku's hands shake a little as he held up his own son. Nobu was running in and he looked astonished. The healer quickly released the babe from his cord and he began screaming loudly. He had black hair like his sire and he was crying loudly. Mizuki ran in and her face showed her shock. She took off her outer kimono and handed it to Naraku. Naraku wrapped our son in it and held him tenderly.

“Lady Asuna you need to try and breathe deeply. The other babe is coming now as well.” Nobu said calmly.

I was injured and there should have been no way that the babes had survived the trauma. I was grateful and Naraku came to my side. I held him and his name did not fit him and I looked at Naraku.

“Kenji.” He said softly.

“Hai.” I replied then I cried out.

“Lord Ishin should you like to help her?” Nobu asked softly.

“Hai.” He said with a shaking breath.

He had been staring at Kenji with love and adoration. I groaned loudly as again I was stretched and I felt myself tear.

“It is alright Asuna, very easily repaired.” Nobu commented.

I nodded and I whined out as I felt her passing.

“Asuna she has your hair.” Ishin said looking up.

“I do not care! Get her out!” I growled hoarsely.

“Bear down my lady.” Nobu said again calmly.

“You get up here and bear down you eight legged know it all!” I shrieked.

Nobu chuckled and I glared at him. Ishin hid a smirk as I yelled myself hoarse again. I felt her slide out and I fell against Naraku in exhaustion. She was quiet and my head shot up and fear gripped me. She whined a little but her black eyes were wide open and looking around. Nobu whistled and I relaxed.

“Okay you have another Mizuki on your hands.” Nobu said lightly.

“What do you mean?” Ishin asked.

“Feel that?” Nobu chuckled.

“She has tremendous yoki but so?” Naraku asked.

“These babes protected themselves my lord. That is a residual barrier.” Nobu said taking my girl and clipping her cord.

Ishin and Naraku stared at each other and Mizuki grinned widely. Kenji opened his eyes and they were golden brown. He opened his mouth and began the shrill cry of a newborn. Iyo turned her head and she began doing the same thing.

“Put them next to each other.” I said softly.

Ishin brought our daughter and Naraku held onto our son. They calmed down but Kenji was rooting and making sucking motions.

“Little glutton.” I croaked out.

I felt my neck and it was swollen but it would heal. Nobu picked me up and brought me to our shared chambers and laid me on the futon. Kenji was immediately put to my breast and he was relentless. I looked at Naraku and he laughed.

“Well he has a good appetite.” He said.

“You have room for Iyo?” Ishin said.

“Hai.” I said closing my eyes.

-We need to talk about Magatushi. - I thought to Naraku.

-We will but please concentrate on recovering. - He pathed in return.

“What was that creature?” Ishin asked.

“Magatushi.” Naraku said sighing.

“I heard his name Naraku, what is he?” he demanded.

“He was the creature within the jewel that fought Midoriko.” He said looking away.

“You unleashed that thing?” Ishin asked surprised.

“Look I am not proud of many things I have done but I am not the same creature either. He says the jewel is incomplete but that is not the case.” He said gritting his teeth.

“Brother we now have to contain that beast. It is a matter of honor now. Your hanyou self unleashed it, now your youki self must help destroy it.” Ishin said firmly.

“Do you not think I know that?” Naraku growled.

“Can we not argue as I am the one that was attacked. I should like to nurse the twins in peace. Please get the pups so they can see their siblings.” I said in my hoarse voice.

“Hai.” They said in unison.

Mizuki watched from the door and she ran away to the outside. She ported down to the surrounding area to sense this beast that had attacked her mother. She sensed the residual yoki and she looked around carefully. She was thrilled that her haha had the twins. It would help ease the mourning from her chichi and uncle. Kazuo stayed with his chichi a lot and that made her sad but he was still not happy. Mizuki moved carefully along the forest and she heard labored breathing. She peered over at a pretty male youki that stank of her chichi's miasma.

“Well what do we have here?” he said suddenly looking at her.

Mizuki stared at him and she backed up. He stood up slowly and moved towards her.

“Stay back!” she yelled.

“You look like Naraku!” he said smirking.

“I should dummy, he is my chichi.” She said snapping.

“Yet you carry the crest of the inu. So he procreated with his enemy!” Magatushi said laughing cruelly.

“I said stay back creep!” Mizuki said backing up.

“Now why would I do that little onna? Your chichi owes me and I think you will do.” He said grabbing her.

She panicked and flung him with her mind. He grunted but seemed to absorb her yoki. She lifted her hands and willed him to fly apart and the result was the creature exploding. Gore smacked her in the face and she screamed. She heard laughing and realized he was coming back together.

“I am like your sire little onna, in fact this body came from his.” She heard the beast say.

She watched in horror as he came back together and she turned and ran.

“Help! Chichi! Haha!” she screamed as she tried to port.

“You smell like him too. Call him here little one.” Magatushi commanded as he grabbed her.

She willed herself to change form and she erupted from his arms. She turned into her kumo guise and his arms actually morphed and began squeezing her. She transformed back and began shrieking.

“I said call him here now!” he snarled.

He squeezed her arms painfully and she struggled like mad. He smacked her forcefully and she saw stars.

-Chichi help me! - She cried in thought.

I saw Naraku jerk his head up and his eyes held panicked.

“Naraku?” I asked.

“Mizuki!” he cried.

“She was just here.” I said struggling to sit up.

“Stay where you are now!” he snapped.

“Naraku!” I yelled as he ported via his miasma.

I looked at Ishin who already was sheathing his fang and he too ported via his shoki.

I tried to get up and Nobu forced me down.

“I will send Aya. You need to heal.” He said flatly.

“She is my daughter!” I snapped.

“You are not strong right now!” Nobu said.

Fear gripped me and I could not do anything. Nobu refused to leave my side and he sent a servant for his sister.

Naraku appeared suddenly and saw the beast holding his daughter. Fury gripped him and he thought carefully. Magatushi grinned and he sank his claws into her arms. Mizuki screamed and began kicking harder.

“She is a very pretty little thing Naraku. So this is what you gave up on your mission for. Well this may convince you to figure out where the jewel is and hand it over.” He said laughing.

“Chichi!” she screamed.

“Unhand her and I will do as you ask.” He said in a dark tone.

“No. You will do as I want or I will break her in at such a tender age.” He said gripping her.

“Release her!” he snarled.

“I swear kumo if you take another step then I will spill her intestines right here.” Magatushi said as Ishin moved in from the side.

Naraku turned pleading eyes to his brother and he stepped back.

“It begins my old friend. I can imagine what fun I can have with such young, virginal flesh!” he laughed maliciously.

“She is innocent! I will do as you ask, just release her!” Naraku said stepping forward.

“She is such a powerful being already. I wonder what would happen if I absorbed her.” The beast said staring at her.

“Chichi please help me. Chichi please!” Mizuki begged.

“That is a good little girl. Learn to beg. Goodbye Naraku.” Magatushi said as he ported away.

Naraku shook and looked at Ishin. Aya came into the clearing and looked around.

“My lords?” she asked concerned.

“I have to go.” Naraku said suddenly.

“Brother think rationally.” Ishin said.

“I know what that beast can and will do Ishin. Mizuki is powerful but she is still a youngling. I have to go!” he cried.

“Let me help you!” Ishin said trying to grab him.

“Make sure our mate is safe. Keep her from harm and keep her from following!” he said as he ported out.

Naraku went to the only youki he knew powerful enough to help him. He was humiliated but he needed the mutt's assistance. He ported straight into the Western Palace and saw a guard. The inu began growling and he growled in return.

“What do you want?” the soldier said.

“I need to see the Western Lord now! It concerns Mizuki.” He said quickly.

“The princess?” the guard questioned.

“Hai!” he snarled.

The inu moved and he followed. He was led to the study and Sesshomaru stood up as soon as he saw him.

“What are you doing here?” he growled.

“I need your help! I am not here to rehash the past but to get you to help me save my daughter.” He said urgently.

“What has Mizuki gotten herself into now?” Sesshomaru asked annoyed.

“Magatushi.” The dark youki said.

“He was destroyed!” Sesshomaru barked.

“Apparently not. He wants the jewel.” Naraku said grimacing.

“The jewel disappeared.” He said growling.

“No mutt it did not. Your mate retrieved it after you and your smelly brother dismembered me.” He said crossing his arms.

Sesshomaru went to hall and growled the whole way. He could not believe this was happening. The fucking Shikon no Tama was a pestilence.

“Augusta! Augusta!” he snapped.

The Western Lady appeared and looked concerned. Her eyes widened when she saw Naraku.

“You retrieved the jewel? You had that thing for over a century?” her mate asked in a fury.

“Well hai I did. I obviously did not use it and I had it hid away until it came up missing.” She said softly.

“Look can we place blame later? My daughter is in the hands of a mad man!” Naraku snapped.

“Augusta go to Edo and retrieve Inuyasha and Kagome. She is the Shikon Miko and I want this thing gone for good!” he snapped.

“Hai.” She said bowing then porting.

“I know you hate me but Mizuki has your blood in her veins as well.” Naraku said softly.

“Hate would imply that I really cared if you existed. Do not question my feelings for my grandpup ever vermin!” Sesshomaru snarled.

“Same old arrogant ass. Your daughter delivered me a son this day.” Naraku hissed.

“Hopefully he looks like her.” The Western Lord said snidely.

“Both of us. Ah look here is your demented asinine brother.” Naraku said crossing his arms.

“Naraku!” Inuyasha said growling.

“Stop it all of you! Mizuki's life is at stake and all of us can deal with the other!” Kagome said coming up.

“This is the weirdest thing ever.” Inuyasha grumbled.

“Hai I agree but we have to destroy this thing once and for all.” Augusta said coming up.

“When do we leave?” Inuyasha asked.

“Now! We leave now.” Naraku stated.
