Miroku, Hojo, Yura and Inuyasha were talking in the kitchen as the four of them had arrived earlier than what they were supposed to, but not all together. At first, the former couple was having a small conversation at a corner; Hojo was still begging Yura to get back with him but of course she had other plans in mind that involved her boss. Miroku hadn't talk to Inuyasha since their incident in the club; Miroku didn't dare to talk to him because he was afraid of getting fired. Inuyasha didn't talk to him because he was waiting for him to apologize; after all he was the one who started their fight. Finally, Yura got tired of her ex boyfriend and walked towards Inuyasha and started to flirt with him but without getting something in exchange. Hojo had no other choice than to watch Yura try her moves on his boss, Miroku saw the hatred look that Hojo was shooting at Inuyasha.

 

“I know exactly what you feel.” Miroku said lowly beside him, Hojo turned to look at him for a moment.

 

“Oh, right… what do you know? Did your girlfriend leave you for him?” he asked and rolled his eyes, Miroku chuckled and nodded.

 

“Sort of, I wouldn't like to talk about that.” Hojo arched his brow but decided it was better for them to leave it that way, he saw Yura play with her short hair as she grabbed Inuyasha's arm.

 

“Damn it! Look at her! She wants him and he doesn't even look at her… who the hell does he think he is? Just `cause half of the girls in this place have dated him it doesn't mean that he has to take away someone's girlfriend.” Hojo said furiously and Miroku nodded.

 

“I completely agree… if it wasn't that I needed this job I would have already kicked his ass.” Miroku mumbled and heard the kitchen door open; Sango came in to watch Yura with Inuyasha. She glared at them with jealousy and then walked away; Miroku noticed what she did and let out a heavy sigh.

 

“If we could only pair him up with someone he likes… that way he would stop messing around with our girls.” Hojo mentioned, Miroku stared at him for a moment but immediately agreed.

 

“But what kind of crazy girl would want to date an arrogant, bad mannered chef?” Miroku asked out loud and suddenly he heard a cell phone ring, everyone checked theirs and soon Inuyasha answered.

 

“Hey Kikyo… I missed you too, how about you come here by lunch time and I take you out or cook something very special for you… alright, me too… take care.” Inuyasha hung up, Hojo and Miroku's faces lighted up with a huge smile as they approached to their boss.

 

“You got a girlfriend! Fabulous! I bet she's a lovely girl!” Hojo complimented, Inuyasha looked at him as if he was crazy.

 

“Yeah, such a smart girl to be with such a great guy, like you Inuyasha… she's a very lucky girl.” Inuyasha nodded a bit unsure of what just happened and looked at his watch.

 

“Right asshole, dense boy… it's time to start and if you two are done kissing my ass for today you might want to work together today, is that okay to you?” the two men nodded and Inuyasha smiled. “Good, Melons if you already heard the bad news these two spilled out for me you can either go cry in a corner or you might like to work with AMP.”

 

“What about Kagome?” Sango unexpectedly asked. “I don't like to be a smart ass but I think she's late and without your partner you can't work.”

 

“Thank you for bringing that up AMP, if you are so interested in her you might like to know that she said she'll come late and I'll be working alone the whole day… another comment like that one and you'll be serving the drinks for the rest of the week. Okay crew, let's begin… clients are about to come in and I bet they are fucking hungry.” Inuyasha said before walking towards the closet and getting on his apron.

 

Clients arrived as Inuyasha had predicted and Sesshomaru was more than pleased to receive the costumers. A few weeks ago, Sesshomaru had to fire two of his waitresses because the business was going bad but now that everything seemed to be perfect in his restaurant he thought that while he had more people to help him around people will be even more satisfied with what his employees did. Sesshomaru looked around and he couldn't help but to show a small smile on his lips, letting everyone know how happy he was with his success. Little did he know that as soon as his restaurant door opened again, tragic consequences will overcome his restaurant. Kagura walked in a mischievous smile across her face, she kept on moving towards him and finally kissed his cheek sweetly.

 

“Sess, the place looks great.” Kagura admitted as she wandered her eyes around the restaurant.

 

“What are you doing here?” He whispered against her ear and she giggled.

 

“Consider it a payback for what your little girlfriend said.” Kagura kissed his lips and then slapped her foot against the floor. “Oh my god! A cockroach!”

 

Costumers, scared due to Kagura's lie, looked around the place searching for the dreadful insects but saw none. Still, some felt nauseas, others simply made disgusted faces before they stop eating and pushed their plates to a side. Sesshomaru was very angry but he couldn't do a thing, he watched some people leave his restaurant while they promised in mumbles to never come back. Kagura, unsatisfied with her work, decided it was better to keep going.

 

“Ah! A rat! And something stinks… what's that horrible smell? Is that rotten meat?” Kagura screamed once again and people turned their heads disgusted and most of them got out of the restaurant.

 

Sesshomaru watched helplessly as his regular clients walked out the door, Kagura smiled and hugged him before sulkily whispering on his ear.

 

“That's what you get for that stupid girl's remark.” She finally said and walked out of his restaurant to offer the people that left Shikon Cooking to eat at Shichi'nintai, her restaurant of course.

“Ouch! Will you stop hitting me?” Kouga asked annoyed as Ayame tapped his head several times. “Kagome, look at her!”

 

After driving Ayame to her apartment, Kagome went to pick up Kouga from his work so the three of them could have a nice time together. Unfortunately for Kagome, she didn't remember Ayame's promise earlier and during their whole journey to the restaurant so Ayame spend half of their trip yelling at Kouga and the other half hitting him on the back of his head. Since they couldn't switch seats, Kouga had to drive and take every single blow Ayame did on his head.

 

“Stop being such a cry baby Kouga! This is what you get for making your job more important than your beautiful, intelligent cousin.” Ayame said before messing up his hair.

 

“Damn, you two better behave like grownups once we are inside the restaurant.” Kagome said as the three of them got out of the car.

 

Ayame grabbed Kouga and started hitting playfully his arm, Kouga looked at her with malice since according to his mother it was very tacky to hit a lady so he did something that he knew that his cousin couldn't watch. Kouga run to Kagome and hugged her before tilting her and kissing her neck.

 

“Kouga.” Kagome let out a bit surprised before he kissed her deeply.

 

“I thought we agreed not to let me see such a horrible scene… Kagome, please stop him.” Ayame begged before Kagome slowly pushed Kouga apart.

 

“Alright, you two are getting on my nerves… now I remember why I didn't like to be with the two of you.” Ayame giggled and Kouga grabbed her hand.

 

“Ah, you spoil my fun.” Ayame said and crossed her arms and entered the restaurant, Kagome looked at Kouga who had his eyes fixated on her.

 

“What?” Kagome asked a bit confused and he shook his head.

 

“Nothing, for a moment I forgot how beautiful you are.” Kagome smiled delighted and blushed lightly as he kissed her lips sweetly.

 

“Eugh! Will you two please stop it? People are going to think you don't have enough money to buy your own food.” Kagome laughed as she pulled apart and finally the three of them entered.

 

Kagome took a look around very surprised, there were just a few people waiting for their meals. This made her remember when she first started working there and the restaurant barely covered for the expenses, salary and rent. Kagome sighed melancholically and let her friend and boyfriend sit while she entered the kitchen, she saw Miroku throwing his spatula up and catching it before it hit the floor. Hojo was still begging for Yura to get with him. Sango was sitting in a corner bitterly and as for Inuyasha, he was nowhere to be seen. Suddenly Sesshomaru pushed the door open and ran inside.

 

“Where's Inuyasha?” he immediately asked, Miroku took a look at him and shrugged his shoulders.

 

“He ran out a few minutes ago, we don't know.” Sesshomaru rolled his eyes.

 

“As soon as he walks inside again tell him he's…”

 

“Hey Sess, isn't it a lovely day?” Sesshomaru looked at him desperate at his calmness and at the same time very furious.

 

“No, you are going to get your ass fired!” Sesshomaru threatened and Inuyasha smiled.

 

“Oh, well… I guess I have to get another job.” His older brother wanted to rip off his hair from his scalp.

 

“Who brainwashed this idiot?” Sesshomaru asked desperate and turned to look at Kagome. “You, do something.”

 

“Me? Why me? I just came in.” Kagome said innocently and Sesshomaru grabbed her by the shoulders frantic.

 

“You are my only hope… this jerk is my brother and the only reason I ask you to do this is because I need him to cook, please do something.” Kagome rolled her eyes and walked towards him.

 

Kagome moved closer to him, she moved her face closer to his and Inuyasha stared at her coming back to his senses. Kagome smiled and slapped him making him almost fall to the floor and finally reacting.

 

“That hurt.” Inuyasha commented as he gently rubbed his cheek. “What's going on? I was out there with my girlfriend for half a minute and the restaurant is about to fall apart.”

 

“You…” Sesshomaru started but wasn't able to finish.

 

“… have a girlfriend?” Kagome interrupted, she felt somehow disappointed. Inuyasha nodded a bit confused by their reaction.

 

“Yeah, why is it so weird for everyone?” Sesshomaru shook his head coming back to his senses and remembering the real reason he was in the kitchen.

 

“Look, the few costumers we have out there are hungry and if I hear one more time from that fat ass man out there `where's my food?' I think I'm going to scream… so you better do something!” Sesshomaru yelled before walking out the kitchen and leaving Inuyasha with his coworkers.

 

“Fine, you heard the man… start cooking, I have a very important costumer to receive.” Kagome grabbed him by the arm and smiled at him.

 

“I guess it's the girl you told me about the other night, I'm very happy for you.” Inuyasha's heart skipped a beat the moment he saw her that glad, he wanted her to be devastated but he just watched at her smile.

 

“I feel happy, why don't you take a break with me? I want you to meet her.” Kagome shook her head thinking that a lame excuse would be enough.

 

“No, I already took half of the day off… I can't do this to Sess.” Kagome took a deep breath and looked at her coworkers. “Besides it would be unfair for me to leave them here.”

 

“Okay, some other day... maybe?” Kagome nodded and he walked out of the kitchen.

“So, how's it like?” Ayame asked to her cousin, Kouga arched his brow a bit confused.

 

“What?” Ayame smiled cheerfully.

 

“Marrying… c'mon, you must at least feel a bit nervous or awkward about it.” Kouga took a deep breath and shook his head.

 

“It's actually pretty good, I mean… I love Kagome with all my heart and just knowing that I'll spend the rest of my life with her makes me very calm, I feel like I'm the happiest man alive.” Kouga said and Ayame looked at him with sweetness.

 

“Aw… let me go to the bathroom and throw up so you can keep going.” Kouga chuckled and she giggled. “I'm glad I could return the favor, you and my aunt have done so much for me… I feel like introducing Kagome to you was my way to give something back.”

 

“Ayame, you know we didn't do by obligation. I mean… you're like my sis, even if I had never met Kagome I believe that everything would be perfect because you are with me.” She smiled and heard the door open, a skin paled girl walked in and sat in a table near to them.

 

“Somebody needs sun.” Ayame whispered and Kouga laughed, soon Inuyasha walked out of the kitchen.

 

Ayame stopped breathing once she saw him, for her that guy was the sexiest thing she ever saw. His silver hair waving with each step he took, his precious smile radiating the room as he untied his apron. So handsome, so unique, so perfect… yet very familiar. Ayame kept watching him as he sat next to Kikyo. She heard Kouga let out an annoyed grunt and that's when she remembered where she had meet him.

 

“Inuyasha Takashi!” Ayame soon let out, the three people in the room looked at her as if she was crazy.

 

“I'm sorry, have we met?” he asked her and looked at Kouga. “And what are you doing in my restaurant?”

 

“It's a free country.” Kouga replied and Inuyasha stood up furious.

 

“Unfortunately, but that doesn't mean I can kick you from here.” Kouga stood up as well.

 

“I'd like to see you trying; I'm not the wimp I once was.” He said a bit furious remembering every time Inuyasha and his friends had pulled out tricks on him and bullied him.

 

“I'm sure about it but I haven't forgotten your little lie the last time you came.” Kikyo grabbed his arm and pulled him away from Kouga.

 

“I guess you two have a past but can you please be a bigger man and stop.” Inuyasha looked at him; he gave her a silly smile and sat next to her.

 

“You jerk!” Ayame said, walking to his seat and giving him a hard slap on his right cheek.

 

“Jesus!” Inuyasha said once he felt his cheek again, Kagome walked to keep an eye on her guests but she saw her future sister-in-law slap her boss.

 

“Whoa!” Kagome said as she ran towards them, Kikyo was only able to watch the whole scene without making the slight movement out of fear. “What happened here? Ayame, what did you just do?”

 

“That's what you get for doing that!” Ayame yelled, she was angry and filled with stress as she saw him with another woman.

 

“Who are you and why did you just hit me?” he asked as he stared in the deep green eyes of the girl before him, now that Inuyasha was paying more attention to her he found her very familiar.

 

“Right, I'm Ayame… the girl you dated for a month in senior year for a bet with your stupid friends. You bet that you could date me, a blonde bimbo and a latina chick all at the same time and don't get caught after a month.” Inuyasha looked at her face and then looked at her hair.

 

“It was a blonde girl, that gorgeous Colombian girl and a brunette… and if I can recall correctly, that was you… haha, funny; but I got you… Ayame is a brunette.” Ayame rolled her eyes annoyed and looked at him filled with irritation.

 

“I dyed it you moron!” Kagome covered Ayame's mouth with her hand and looked at Inuyasha very surprised.

 

“I guess I'm sorry, is your offer to give me the rest of the day off still standing?” Inuyasha nodded unsure and she let out a heavy sigh.

 

“Good, `cause I really need it.” Kagome walked out of the restaurant with Ayame on her hands and Kouga following her.

 

Inuyasha looked at her walk out with a lot of regret, he thought that everything that happened when he was a teenager would be forgotten by the time he found them again but apparently resentment was stronger than forgiveness. He felt someone tap his shoulder and glanced back afraid of another hit, he saw Kikyo with a calm expression.

 

“We need to talk.” She said, Inuyasha never liked those words and he thought it was even worst to hear them in a moment like that.
