“No fucking way! I'm not going inside that hell hole! You can chop me into pieces and sell my meat to this restaurant and I still would find a way to get out of there. Not even if I was starving would I eat there!” Inuyasha yelled as he stood in front of his competition, the Shichi'nintai.
“Oh, come on… it can't be that bad, besides you promised.” Kikyo reminded him as she grabbed his hand tightly and tried to pull him inside.
“Well, I don't recall you saying that I had to eat in my disgusting ex sister in law restaurant…” He mumbled annoyed once he surrendered, Kikyo stood on the hall waiting for Kagura to appear.
“Hello, welcome to Shichi'nintai… Kikyo, it's a pleasure to see you here and…” Kagura looked at Inuyasha who was irritated; Kagura faked a smile on her lips and tried to sound nice. “Inuyasha, I'm glad you came to try some real food.”
“Yeah right, how about a table? Darling, I think it's very rude to criticize other's people restaurants when they haven't even given us food… write that down, please.” Kikyo smiled a bit and playfully hit his stomach.
“Of course, this way please.” Kagura added with a bad tone and once they were sitting she handed them their menus and walked away.
Inuyasha looked at their menu skeptically, it had what every other restaurant included but with different words. Being the talented and arrogant chef he was he couldn't but to start to passing judgment on everything he read on the menu, not to Kikyo because he didn't want Kagura to think that he had something to do with what she wrote so he kept all thoughts to himself. `This is like watching a crappy TV show, this is so bad it's about to be cancelled… how can people buy all this shit? I mean “meat with a delicate sauce of mushrooms and bacon delightfulness”, my ass! This is a plain normal and not out of the extraordinary filet minon! Oh, and what's this? “Marinated meat in tomato sauce surrounded by pasta”… what an amazing way to say lasagna!' Inuyasha showed an enjoyable smile across his face, he dropped his hand on the table as he kept on reading the menu when he felt silky skin covering his hand; he looked at Kikyo who had her hand above his.
“I'm glad you don't hate me for this.” She said in a low voice and he placed the menu away to look at her eyes.
“For what? Bringing me to my awful ex sister in law's restaurant? Of course not, I'm actually enjoying this.” Kikyo looked at him amazed and smiled pleased.
“I'm surprised but I'm also happy `cause that means that you can come with me to other restaurants and not trash their meals.” He chuckled and shook his head.
“Well, that's what you think.” She laughed a little and squeezed his hand lightly; he pushed himself closer to her and tried to kiss her when he heard someone clear his throat.
“Welcome to Shichi'nintai, the best place to eat in this street.” Inuyasha rolled his eyes and looked at the waiter. “What can I get for you two?”
“Can you bring me please today's special? Soup, main plate and dessert?” The waiter nodded and wrote it down, he looked at Inuyasha.
“Um… do I really have to pick something?” Kikyo looked at him with disbelief and he took a deep breath. “Okay bring me… um, exquisite pork with fine shredded potatoes?” the waiter nodded and took away their menus before going away.
“Why don't you at least give it a chance? It might not be that bad.” Kikyo commented once the waiter wasn't there.
“Not for you but if I see some suspicious white `sauce' on my plate I swear I'll go kill Kagura.” Inuyasha said and Kikyo giggled a bit.

Sesshomaru was still mad at the little scene that happened in front of his eyes several weeks ago in his restaurant, he hadn't have time to take out Rin to talk with her or even to be with her. Right after Kagura had come in and started yelling that he supposedly had a pest problem; Sesshomaru had been busier than he appeared, trying to get his restaurant the good reputation it once had was tough for him. They were silent inside his apartment, they had gone out to watch a theater play and Sesshomaru offered her to take her home but Rin just wanted to be with him for a while. However, Sesshomaru had other plans the moment she had suggested that idea. Rin was feeling a bit uncomfortable, there he was just with his eyes directed to a book and she was just waiting for him to talk to her. `Maybe I should take the first step.' She thought awkwardly and took a deep breath.
“It's a cold night.” Rin mumbled as she passed her hands around her arms, trying to gather some warm in her body. Sesshomaru simply yawned.
“I can turn on the chimney if you want.” He offered without taking his eyes off the book, Rin shook her head and walked towards him. She placed her hands around his shoulders and started massaging them.
“You're so tense Sess; you should try to relax for a change.” Rin whispered against his ear and he shrugged his shoulders.
“Stop it Rin, I want to finish this book… it's my only free time.” He said and she sighed defeated.
“Sesshomaru, you better tell me what's bothering you because your attitude is already pissing me off.” She finally let out; Sesshomaru tossed his book aside and looked at her.
“Fine, you wanna know what's bothering me? Alright, first it's the fact that wherever I look I see you and that asshole hugging and then there is what you said to Kagura… now I'm not only freaking jealous, I'm also trying to bring my restaurant back to the top... and if you don't think that's frustrating enough, well why don't you add some monetary problems I've been having.” Rin looked at him in silence, she shook her head.
“You're jealous about Kohaku? He's my friend; I don't even like him anymore!” She said and he chuckled sarcastically.
“Right and I guess the flowers and all the hugs he gives you are really a symbol of pure and sincere friendship.” Sesshomaru remarked and she crossed her arms.
“Whatever, at least I'm not the one who wants to get back with his ex.” Rin mumbled.
“And at least I don't hiss my thoughts! You're so childish.” She looked back at him furiously and with tears on her eyes.
“Really? I've learned to forgive you everything Sesshomaru! I didn't say anything to you when I found out you had been married; I talked to you about it… I didn't get mad. Oh and about Kohaku, I thought you would be able to manage my past as well as I have managed yours… now tell me, who's being immature?” Rin asked before cleaning her eyes and walking out of his place before he could say a word, but Sesshomaru had nothing good to say.

The only day sacred for anyone who knew what work was like was Saturday, the perfect day to rest and to spend with the people you cared the most. Unfortunately for Kagome, that Sunday meant a whole day alone since Kouga had left early to the office to work in something important as he said. Kagome had cooked for herself the first thing she found on her fridge, she felt useless and she didn't like being alone in her big apartment. After eating, she grabbed her car keys and drove to the mall to get some stuff and ideas for her wedding. Kagome walked silently as she eyed every store she walked by and took a mental note of nice vases or tablecloths she could use. Finally, she saw a nice store filled with her type of clothing and thought she might take a short look at that. After a few minutes, Kagome had taken a good tour around the shop and grabbed two shirts, a skirt and a dark blue jean. She immediately saw on a stand a beautiful cotton turquoise sweater, Kagome grabbed it but someone else had placed its hands on it too. She looked back at the person and to her surprise it was Sango.
“Oh, I'm sorry Sango… please take it.” Sango shook her head and sighed heavily.
“Never mind, I didn't really want it… I was just checking it out.” She admitted and looked at Kagome straightly. “Come on, take it.”
“Thanks.” Kagome said as she slowly took it in her hands and then turned her eyes on Sango. “So, what brings you here?”
“I… wanted to do some shopping, that's all.” Sango said as she walked and checked every type of clothing that was around her.
“Oh, right.” Kagome took a deep breath as she closed her eyes for a moment; she then opened them along with her mouth. “Listen Sango… I know we aren't friends or anything at all and I thought we were but…”
“Okay, I see where this is going. I don't really want you to be my friend at this moment, no offense but since the moment I met you my life immediately went upside down… just… stay way from me.” Sango said and turned around to walk away, Kagome immediately grabbed her arm.
“Alright, but just one thing… that little thing you had going with Miroku while you still cared about Inuyasha was time bomb, it was eventually going to explode and it didn't necessarily have to do with me.” Sango listened to her words, knowing that she was right and sighed.
“I know.” She mumbled lowly and felt Kagome's grip loosen.
“Then why do all those things to me?” Sango shook her head lightly.
“How about you pay for those things and we talk about it while we have a cup of coffee at the food court?” Kagome nodded a bit unsure.
She walked to the cashier followed closely by Sango and after Kagome had all her new things packed in a plastic bag, they were ready to go. The women walked in silence as they made their way to their destination. Finally, they bought some Kagome set her bags on the floor and sat along with Sango. She looked at her directly waiting for her to start but Sango had her glance lost along the place; Kagome once again gathered the courage to speak but Sango beat her to it.
“Inuyasha… was the love of my life, do you what it is to be rejected your whole life and be always marked as different? I bet you haven't, you're what every man seeks… but I, I felt always horrible around people and… that's when I met him. Inuyasha was sweet and very attentive, comprehensive and I loved him with all my heart… but I was afraid of the other girls that looked at him, the ones who thought that I didn't deserve him and finally I just lost him. I was sure eventually we would get back together and that's when you came in the picture, the look he gave to you the first time he set his eyes on you… it was love, I know it because I looked at him that way.” Sango said as tears gathered around her eyes.
“It wasn't my fault Sango, I didn't know and I don't feel the same way towards him.” Kagome let out and Sango nodded.
“Now I know that, but at that moment I felt jealous and scared and everything you could imagine and I despised you Kagome, I wished you were fired and he never saw you again. After what happened with Miroku and me I finally realized that while I was hating you, I wasn't able to realize that he really loved me and the more I tried to separate you from Inuyasha… the more I pushed away Miroku, because he knew how I once felt and he knew that those feelings never really vanished. When it was over, I knew that I no longer wanted Inuyasha, but Miroku… the man that was always in front of me but that I didn't consider.” Sango let only one tear roll down her cheek and finished her coffee.
“I'm sorry, I didn't know and…”
“You shouldn't apologize, it's not even your fault and… I guess I've never said it out loud or worst to another person but… it was my fault.” Sango interrupted her and tried to smile a bit.
“He hasn't told you about Kikyo?” Kagome felt like asking, Sango shook her head lightly.
“What for? To make more a fool of himself? I saw what happened with the red haired girl; I bet he's afraid I punch his girl and not him.” Kagome giggled a little and took a sip of her coffee.
“He asked me what I thought about her but… I sincerely don't care about her, Inuyasha isn't really my friend and I just see him as my boss because I don't know him enough.” Sango nodded let a saddened smile form.
“You should take time to meet him better Kagome, Inuyasha is one of the most incredible people I've met… he tries to be a bad guy but he's actually the contrary, if I had a chance with him again… I would never let him go.” Kagome thought about it for a while before directing her eyes towards the watch on her wrist.
“It's getting late, I'm sorry Sango… I have to go but I'm glad we had this talk, can we call ourselves friends?” the girl in front of her nodded surely and Kagome hugged her closely.
“I guess we can.” She managed to mumble and Kagome pulled apart. “See you tomorrow.”

After eating his competition's food, Inuyasha couldn't help but to vomit. The food was so bad that he wanted to throw up. `Kagura shouldn't even call this place a restaurant, now I know I'm still the most talented chef in this building.' He thought arrogantly as he watched his girlfriend eat a piece of tiramisu. Kikyo looked at him and smiled as she offered him a spoon of her dessert, Inuyasha opened his mouth and once the piece entered his mouth he wanted to throw it out. `This tastes like a piece of shit! What the fuck was that?' he questioned as he tried to swallow the food inside his mouth. Kikyo finally finished the food and cleaned her mouth.
“This is what I hate about my work, when something isn't what it looks like.” She said as she drank some water. “And because tomorrow I have to go jogging.”
“So, you eat everything up even if it tastes horrible?” Kikyo nodded. “I never thought that being a food critic was such a terrible work.”
“It's not bad, you get to eat without paying the bill and to taste many different plates to write for other people… somehow it's publicity, bad or good but at the end I'm advertising their place.” Inuyasha nodded and saw Kagura walking towards their place.
“How was everything?” Kikyo pretended to smile.
“I guess you'll have to wait for my review, thanks a lot… let's go honey.” Kikyo stood up and walked away; Inuyasha followed her and suddenly feel Kagura's fierce hands around his shoulders.
“I'll destroy you and your brother if the review isn't a nice one.” Kagura hissed furiously and immediately let him go. “Have a nice day.
“Yeah, same bitch.” He mumbled and grabbed Kikyo's hand once they were out of the restaurant.
“Don't you ever bring me back there!” Inuyasha shouted as he shrugged and walked away from there, Kikyo giggled a little.
“I guess you and I won't always go out and eat something, do you at least like junk food?” Inuyasha nodded uncertain.
“Who doesn't? But you see this?” he pointed at his marvelous body. “It's not easy to take care of so I don't eat it so often, once a year maybe.”
“You're being ridiculous, I don't know about you but I'm starving after such a disgusting dinner… wouldn't you want some Mcdonald's?”
“I guess we could eat some fries,” Kikyo smiled and kissed his lips softly. “But don't think you will always convince me.”
“I know I'm not going to convince you… I'm going persuade you.” Inuyasha laughed before kissing her again and walking to his car with her.

“Kouga? Honey, I'm home.” Kagome yelled throwing her apartment keys towards the couch and closing the door behind her.
She comfortably got off her shoes and stretched lazily before walking to the kitchen, apparently Kouga wasn't home yet. Kagome walked to the refrigerator and after spending a few minutes in front of it she finally decided to prepare herself a sandwich. She grabbed ham and cheese, closed the door with the help of her hip and got some bread. Kagome was about to eat her delicious snack when she heard the creaking of a door. She let it down on the table and walked towards her room, she tried to open the door but it was closed.
“Kouga?” she asked and heard some cursing.
“Um… hey honey, can you… come back in a few minutes please?” Kagome heard him nervous and started getting a bit suspicious.
“What's going on? Open the door.” She demanded as she twisted the door knob.
“I really think it's a good idea for you to go away for a moment, c'mon Kagome.” Kouga said and she lost her patience, she walked to the couch to grab her keys and introduced the bedroom key in the lock, she opened it and she couldn't believe her eyes.
“Oh my god.”
A/N: I know, it took me a long time but someone said that it didn't matter how long I took just so I could write it correctly… I've been busy by the way, health problems and school problems but everything is fine… except for school, I'm in exams and I think I might update next Sunday but I'm not sure… anyways guys, review please!!! =)
