Kagome walked nervously around the restaurant, she couldn't believe the amount of snow that just magically decided to fall that exact night in which she decided to stay a few extra hours. Inuyasha sat on the floor bored; he found a magazine in Sesshomaru's office and started reading but soon got tired of it and ripped a piece of paper. Inuyasha crumbled it until it looked like a ball and tossed it up and down trying to catch it before it hit the floor. Kagome stopped and turned to look at him, she wanted to hit him for acting like a child instead of finding a solution. Kagome walked next to him and tapped her foot against the floor furiously, trying to let him know she was waiting for him to help her get rid of the snow. Inuyasha just kept on playing, hiding the smile forming on his lips, enjoying the way she was worrying. Kagome stomped her foot against the floor and bent to his height.

 

“Are you at least aware that we might die in here?” she asked furiously, Inuyasha arched his brow and direct his golden orbs to her face.

 

“I don't think we'll die… we just have to wait till the storm passes, look out the window. You can clearly see how the snow is still falling, if we try to move away the snow more will fall… so let's patiently wait.” Inuyasha said with a small smile and Kagome rolled her eyes before sitting next to him.

 

“Fine.” She said annoyed and grabbed the magazine next to him, Inuyasha kept on tossing his ball up the air.

 

“I don't know why you think it's so terrible to sleep with me.” Kagome looked at him horrified, Inuyasha shook his head. “I didn't mean it that way, I meant that you find so awful to spend a night with me… I mean, to be with me a whole night and…”

 

“I got your point!” Kagome yelled hysterical and Inuyasha sighed. “I don't feel that way… it's just that I feel terrible for leaving Kouga alone tonight.”

 

“I know that idiot won't die if you're not there.” Kagome smiled a little and took a deep breath, “Soon or later he'll figure out how to get in bed, don't worry.”

 

Kagome laughed loudly and Inuyasha smiled at the sweet sound of her laugh, he could see her frozen breath coming from her mouth. She soon shivered and ran her hands up and down her arms, trying to bring some warmth to her body; Inuyasha rolled his eyes and gave her his jacket. Kagome took it gladly and covered her body with his clothing.

 

“I feel like we got inside the freezer.” She commented looking around the place. “Why is it so cold?”

 

“Sesshomaru turned everything off when we just begun cleaning.” Kagome arched her brow. “According to him the heat inside the building would be enough to keep us warm for 5 more hours, I guess he was wrong.”

 

“Shouldn't we turn everything on so we don't die?” Inuyasha rolled his eyes.

 

“Why didn't I think of that?” he asked himself before getting up and walking to his brother's office, soon Kagome felt the air getting warmer and saw the lights turning on. “There, I believe we won't die.”

 

“Thanks, I'm sorry to bother you so much, first about getting out and now because I'm freezing.” Kagome giggled and Inuyasha shook his head.

 

“Don't worry; it's actually a pleasure for me.” He answered truthfully before Kagome turned around.

 

“You don't really have to pretend to be nice… I know I'm being annoying, stop lying.” Kagome laughed falsely, Inuyasha smiled and grabbed her hand.

 

“I'm just telling the truth Kagome.” She immediately pulled her hand and away and got up. “What? What's wrong?”

 

“Inuyasha, you have a girlfriend… I don't think we can get this any further.” He sighed annoyed and walked towards her.

 

“Why, Kagome? Why do we have to pretend that there's nothing between us?” Kagome shook her head and looked at him hopeless.

 

“Because there really is nothing between us, you are with Kikyo and…”

 

“You want me to dump her? Fine, I'll leave her and I'll be with you Kagome because…” she placed her hand on his mouth and looked at him straightly into his deep golden eyes, Kagome slowly plastered a saddened smile on her face.

 

“No Inuyasha, that's not the problem. The problem is that… I don't want you, you are great but… I think I'm in love with someone else. I didn't mention Kouga till now because you're always telling me I use him as an excuse.”

 

Kagome turned around, ready to walk away from him before things turned up even uglier and before they could let out words that they would later regret. She slowly walked towards the bathroom so Inuyasha would be able to clear up his mind, she thought it was the only way in which he could stop behaving in that weird sick-in love way.

 

“You said `think'.” He let out suddenly, Kagome turned back to look at him.

 

“What are you talking about?” she asked intrigued, Inuyasha smiled at bit.

 

“When you said that we couldn't be together, you said you `think' you're in love with someone, I just think it's and interesting choice of words you made.” Inuyasha let out his proud smile show up, Kagome shook her head.

 

“I got confused.” Kagome lied; Inuyasha chuckled and walked towards her. He toyed with a strand of her hair as he laid his eyes on her along with a mischievous smile.

 

“If you're as in love as you claim to be, you shouldn't have made such a terrible mistake… don't you think?” Kagome rolled her eyes and pushed her hair back, picking it away from the man who was about to make her blush.

 

“Everyone makes a mistake once in a while,” she let out. Kagome was about to get inside the bathroom before Inuyasha grabbed her hand and pulled her close to him, close enough for him to move his lips and collide with hers.

 

“Tell me; let me hear you said that you really love him… I'm leaving you alone after that.” Inuyasha whispered against her ear, Kagome took a deep breath.

 

Kagome bit her bottom lip for a few seconds, she was about to let those words out but something inside her stopped her. She simply pushed him harshly away before sighing heavily, Inuyasha stared at her confused and Kagome held her eyes on the floor, she rubbed her eyes lazily and then glared at Inuyasha who still hoped she would answer him.

 

“I'm… going to sleep. I think I'll get some tablecloths and…”

 

“You sleep in Sesshomaru's office, its warmer.” Inuyasha suggested interrupting her, he scratched the back of his head, “I'll sleep here.”

Sesshomaru went to his apartment late after giving Rin a ride to her home, he regretted to get late since he just found all of his stuff outside. All his life was packed in brown regular carton boxes, making him realize that his landlord was tired of waiting for him to pay the rent. Sesshomaru took a quick look at his stuff, making sure that most of his things were there. Soon he hit the wall with fury and walked to the landlord's apartment, he knocked on the door impatiently waiting for him to appear.

 

“It's very late Sesshomaru and I have a doorbell, what do you want?” the landlord asked as he rubbed his eyes softly.

 

“I want to know why you just took out all my things off my apartment.” Sesshomaru glared at him furiously as he chuckled.

 

“You haven't paid your rent in like a year… you still need a reason?” the man asked and Sesshomaru shook his head lightly.

 

“I thought I had one more week to pay.” The landlord smiled.

 

“It has been two weeks since I told you that… you need to start to pay more attention Sesshomaru.” He sighed heavily.

 

“Please, give me one more week… I swear this time I'll pay half of what I owe you.” The landlord shook his head filled with despair.

 

“I'm really sorry but people were already taking a look at it and I have some pretty good offers.” Sesshomaru looked at him with a mixture of anger and worry.

 

“And if I pay you… where am I supposed to live?” the landlord half smiled and patted his shoulder tenderly.

 

“Take your things and come back when you have the money, then we'll take about it.” The landlord let out a loud yawn before closing his door and leaving Sesshomaru even angrier.

 

Undecided, homeless and angry Sesshomaru couldn't think of anything to do than to go to Inuyasha's apartment which was just across the hall. He remembered what his brother had asked him a few days ago, about if he had some trouble with money. `What kind of absurd explanation will I tell him just to sleep tonight in his apartment?' Sesshomaru asked himself, he rang Inuyasha's doorbell several times without an answer. After waiting for half an hour, Sesshomaru decided to try with his spare key which lay underneath a rough carpet under his feet. He opened the lock and found the apartment empty.

 

“He must be with his girl.” Sesshomaru mumbled out loud and soon brought his things in before laying on the couch with a beer on one hand and the remote control on the other.

Morning came without any notice and Kagome opened her eyes to find herself inside of Sesshomaru's office, she had forgotten about being trapped inside her own work place. Kagome stretched herself as she got up from the couch and walking slowly out of the place, she noticed Inuyasha sleeping on top of a table surrounded by tablecloths; Kagome let her lips curve to form a smile and watched out the window, the storm had passed and the snow that was covering the building was now gone and all that remained to remind her of winter where the few snow flakes falling calming before her. Kagome heard a loud yawn and turned around to check on Inuyasha, who had just woken up and had his eyes lids still closed, Inuyasha was yawning constantly meaning he wanted to sleep some more or that he was hungry.

 

“Morning.” She greeted, Inuyasha immediately opened his eyes and looked at her surprised.

 

“Hey there, how was your night?” he asked as he rubbed his eyes and got off the table before getting on his shoes.

 

“It was warm, thanks for letting sleep there… although I could have survived out here.” Inuyasha shook his head.

 

“I doubt it, since he turned on the heat the snow outside started melting and water started coming inside. I didn't want it to disturb you so I spend the few hours that I was supposed to sleep cleaning up with a mop the water that came in, I finally closed my eyes like half an hour ago.” Kagome was about to thank him for his kindness when someone knocked on the door.

 

Inuyasha looked at Kagome who shrugged her shoulders and he walked towards the door, for his surprise Kagura was outside with a large furry coat covering her body in that cold morning. Inuyasha was shocked to find her outside so early in the morning, he took a glare at Kagome who pointed at Sesshomaru's office before walking away, Inuyasha leaned against the door frame and crossed his arms above his chest as he waited for his ex sister in law to speak.

 

“So?” Kagura finally let out and Inuyasha arched his brow.

 

“So what?” Kagura giggled a bit.

 

“Are you gonna tell your little girlfriend to write a positive review about my restaurant or are you letting your restaurant fail?” Inuyasha had completely forgotten about that, he sighed heavily and nodded.

 

“I'll help you Kagura… I'll do what you want.” Kagura smirked pleased and kissed his cheek. “That was not necessary!”

 

“Thanks Inuyasha, you're a doll.” Inuyasha cleaned his cheek with his hand as he watched Kagura walk back inside her restaurant.

 

“What did she want?” Kagome asked intrigued and he shook his head.

 

“Nothing important, I think we better go now… don't bother about coming to work, I'll explain Sesshomaru everything.” Kagome nodded and stretched her hand towards him.

 

“Um… thanks for everything.” Inuyasha stared at her hand for a moment before grabbing and shaking it.

 

“I'll see you tomorrow at work.” He half smiled and watched Kagome walk out before he closed the restaurant and walked towards his car.

 

Inuyasha got inside his car and watched as Kagome drove off with a smile on her face, `She's going to see the man she “loves” maybe that's why she's so happy or maybe being away from me just brings her happiness… why is it that she can't feel the same way I do? I never thought people were punished but the moment I met her… I know that's my punishment for what I did to Kouga.' Inuyasha slowly directed himself to his apartment, when he remembered that Kikyo's review was coming out the next day so he thought about visiting her. He quickly got out of his car and went to her door; he knocked constantly till she opened the door.

 

“Inuyasha, what's wrong?” Kikyo asked dazed before he entered to her building.

 

“I know this might sound weird but I went yesterday to Kagura's restaurant and tried her food again and it was amazing, it tasted nothing like what he ate.” Kikyo looked at him confused.

 

“I thought you hated Kagura… why did you even go back?” Inuyasha stared at her shocked.

 

“Because… I just thought that maybe she deserved another chance, anyways I thought that you should change the review you wrote about her restaurant.” Kikyo shook her head.

 

“No, I think I should go again... if their food is as good as you claim it is I'm sure I can give them another chance.” Inuyasha shook his head.

 

“You seriously don't need to… please, I beg you.” Kikyo walked near to him and grabbed his hand.

 

“Darling, if there's anything wrong… you can tell me about it but please, please don't lie to me.” Inuyasha sighed heavily.

 

“Sess has stopped paying the restaurant rent or its taxes and Kagura said that if I made you write a positive review about her restaurant she would pay everything… I'm sorry if this means to make you lie in your work but, this restaurant means everything to me and my brother and if we lose it… I don't know what we'll do.” Kikyo glared at him with pity but soon covered it with a sympathetic smile.

 

“I'll help you, this once.” Kikyo kissed his lips lovingly.

 

 

 

 

A/N: I'm sorry for such delay… I barely have time to write since I'm going to this weird therapy to get over this horrible back pain I get but it'll only take me two more weeks and after that I'm free, I'll be also free of exams and of the science fair… and I'll soon be on vacations so I'll try to update sooner. BTW I know this chapter is very short but I guess you know understand why… review please!!! =)
