“Blend restaurants? Is that the only reason you wanted to go out with me?” Sesshomaru asked with disbelief.
“Sess, the way my restaurant is going and the way yours is sinking… I actually think it would be a good idea, there wouldn't be competition. Only good food and nice restaurants, don't you agree?” He shook his head furiously.
“Of course not! My brother and I worked so hard to build that and I'm not going to give up that easily!” Kagura rolled her eyes.
“I love you again, isn't that enough for you to be convinced?” Kagura said blinking a few times; Sesshomaru closed his eyes for a second.
Sesshomaru closed his eyes for concentration, he wanted to clear up his mind and try to make a decision but he found it impossible. Rin looked intensively at his table as she watched Kagura making her move. Kagura pushed her chair closer to his and placed a hand on his cheek, she moved her face closer to his to keep her breath inches from his. Her cool breath hit his flesh as she started talking again.
“Please Sess, believe me… you know how much we love each other, pretty please?” Kagura whispered huskily, Sesshomaru opened his eyes and looked into her hypnotic ruby eyes.
“Kagura… I…” He closed his eyes again so he could try to resist her looks.
Sesshomaru wanted to push her away from him, to say that he no longer loved her but the words never managed to leave his lips. Kagura was a second away from kissing Sesshomaru, her lips were just an inch from his and she knew that after that he would agree to everything. Suddenly Rin got up from her seat and walked towards his table, she cleared her throat and Sesshomaru snapped his eyes open. He stood up, taking a step away from Kagura.
“Rin, I…” she held her hand up and pointed at Kagura.
“You, not only you hold the worst restaurant in town but you also happen to like my boyfriend just when you are out of ideas, how convenient. You are such a stinky bitch that at the very sight of weakness you'll grab his wallet and then walk away!” Kagura looked at her furiously and stood up.
“Sess! Did you listen at what this brat just told me? Do something!” Kagura ordered furious, Sesshomaru looked at Rin and back to Kagura.
“Rin, I need some time.” He hissed with some worry, Rin stared at him with her jaw tightened out of anger. She didn't need to look at Kagura to know she was smiling.
“Fine! Have it your way!” Rin yelled and walked to her table.
Sesshomaru kept on looking at her and was in time to watch her kiss with Kohaku. Rin whispered something in his ear before her pulled out a few dollar bills and walked out with her hand in his. Sesshomaru tried to keep himself in his place when he felt Kagura's hand on his chest.
“Don't you feel better now that you dumped the girl?” She asked huskily, he said nothing and she kissed his lips lightly. “C'mon, let's keep on talking about our restaurants.”

Inuyasha was still awake when Sesshomaru returned from his date; he wouldn't miss the chance to hear what Kagura was planning. His older brother tried his best to enter their apartment without making any noise but he found out that it wasn't necessary when Inuyasha turned on the lights; Sesshomaru walked to the living room and sat on his bed/couch to start talking. Inuyasha sat right next to him and arched his brow waiting for him to start. Sesshomaru said nothing, instead he kept his eyes on the floor trying to pretend what happened tonight was only a nightmare.
“So?” Inuyasha asked when he realized Sesshomaru was saying nothing.
“I think Rin broke up with me.” His older brother said with concern, Inuyasha rolled his eyes and slapped the back of his head.
“I told you this would happen! Why didn't you listen to me?” Inuyasha said with annoyance in his voice, Sesshomaru looked at him with sorrow.
“There's something else too…” Inuyasha waited for him to continue, Sesshomaru took a deep breath and swallowed hard. “I told Kagura that maybe we could blend our restaurants.”
“Are you insane?” Inuyasha finally exploded, Sesshomaru nodded. “I'm glad you can admit your mistakes because I'm very close to kill you!”
“Please, you have to help me! You know how much this restaurant means to us… you have to do something.” Inuyasha shook his head. “You're giving up?”
“Yes, I'm giving up on you! Listen to me, if I keep on solving everything you screw up you'll never be able to solve your problems with Kagura.” Inuyasha said with determination.
“You're right, get out.” Inuyasha chuckled, Sesshomaru arched his brow. “I'm serious, you should leave me alone for a while Inuyasha… take a vacation or something, I need to figure out what I should do when you're not around.”
“You're right; maybe I can pay a visit to mom and dad.” Sesshomaru nodded and hugged him lightly. “Okay, please don't ever do that again.”

“Daisies covering the flower bases that will be also used as center pieces, now this can be mixed with either tulips or lilies, what do you think?” The wedding planner asked Kagome, she had her eyes on the book she was showing her but her mind was somewhere else.
After her disturbing double date with Inuyasha and his ex girlfriend, Kagome couldn't think about anything and trying to push Inuyasha away from her thoughts she called her wedding planner to change some meaningless details. Although she had been letting her planner do all the talking and she tried her best to focus, Kagome let her mind wander to yesterday's events.
“Until? Until what?”
“Until I figure out something very important for me, I promise you'll have my answer after that.”
`How could I promise something like that? I can't tell him my answer, after everything I've gone through the last thing I need is to worry about Inuyasha… I can't do this to Kouga he's…'
“Miss Higurashi? Are you okay?” The wedding planner inquired as she pulled Kagome out of her thoughts, she nodded. “So, lilies or tulips? Your pick.”
“I think lilies will go better.” Kagome said careless, flowers didn't seem to be that important now that had her mind and heart confused.
“Okay, lilies will be. Now, about the table cloths that your fiancé was planning to use I think they will go perfectly with the new flowers you've picked so I don't think we'll need to change that.” The ring of a cell phone made her stop, she answered it and after a few words she hung up. “I'm sorry Miss Higurashi but there has been an emergency from another of my weddings, can we continue tomorrow?”
“Yes, of course… thank you so much for this.” The wedding planner nodded as she gathered her things, Kagome opened for her the door and she left.
She sighed heavily once she was alone, Kagome needed to take everything away from her mind and the only way she could do that was by cooking. Kagome spent the rest of her afternoon cooking; she sliced tomatoes, chopped lettuce, cut peppers and finished a salad but that wasn't enough for her. By the time the sun hid she had managed to prepare pork chops, smashed potatoes, lasagna, roasted chicken, pecan pie, strawberry ice cream, shrimp cocktails, margaritas and even made some precooked cheese sticks. Kouga arrived home to smell a mixture of scents in the air, he dropped his things in the living room and stepped to the kitchen where Kagome was still trying to cook but she had no more ingredients.
“Wow, everything smells delicious but how are we going to eat all this?” Kouga asked amazed as he eyed all the plates that were waiting for him on the dinner table.
“Huh?” She asked as she kept her head in the fridge, she was still looking for something to cook. Kouga sighed and walked towards her to pull her out.
“Can you stop for a second? Look at all this; I think we have more than enough for today.” Kagome knew he was right so she nodded and sat on the table next to him.
“I'm sorry about this; I think I just let myself go with the flow.” She giggled dryly, Kouga smiled as he grabbed some pork chops.
“So, how were things with the wedding planner?” He asked as he sliced the meat, Kagome served herself some margarita and drank it all before answering him.
“Fun.” Kouga arched his brow as he chewed his food. “I mean, I loved everything you picked but you have no sense of style, no offense darling.”
“Don't worry, at least you can have it your way… did you finish everything?” Kagome nodded as she grabbed some pecan pie.
“I guess so, there's no rush right? I mean we should really think about this first. What if someone is allergic to lilies or tulips? Or what if our menu isn't right for everyone? No, I think we should have some more time and I…”
“Kagome, is something else bothering you?” Her boyfriend interrupted, she took a deep breath before grabbing some more margarita and drinking it quickly.
“No, why? Should something be bothering me?” Kagome asked and he sighed, Kouga grabbed her hand and squeezed it lightly.
If something was bothering you, you can tell me. You don't need to feel obligated to do something you don't want; you're free to do what you feel.” Kagome looked straightly into his deep blue eyes; he let a small smile slip his mouth. “Are you going to tell me?”
“Don't you feel like everything is going too fast?” Kouga looked at her confused. “I mean, a few weeks ago we were just a couple and now in a few weeks we'll be married?”
“Kagome, I wouldn't care if you would marry me today, next month or even in 10 years. All I care is for your happiness, there's no need for you to feel pressured… you can change the date to any day you want.” He concluded and let go her hand.
“You know what I want?” She said and he shook his head.
Kagome smiled and walked to the bedroom. Kouga heard her talking to someone on the phone; he got concerned and heard her hung up. Kouga was a bit confused and followed her there to discover she was packing her belongings.
“Kagome… what are you doing?” He asked a little frightened.
“Don't worry, I just need a vacation. I need some time for my own and if I'm with you can't even think properly.” She explained as she packed her things.
“What about your job?” Kouga asked as she closed her suitcase, Kagome sighed.
“I'll call Sess from the airport,” She answered with some excitement in her voice.
“Where are you going?” He asked and she smiled a bit.
“I'm going home, this vacation is really important for me and I don't want you to worry… okay? Please, promise me you'll forgive me.” Kagome asked as she hugged him, Kouga nodded unsure and kissed her forehead as he caressed her hair.
“You promise me something in return,” Kagome nodded. “If you change your mind, just let me know… that's everything I want.”
“Thank you.” Kagome grabbed her suitcase and walked out the door.
