It was a very long flight but it was almost unnoticeable for Kagome, she had been sleeping during the whole flight and she had woken up in time to see the city of Tokyo underneath the plane. She could see the sun taking its place in the blue sky as they were landing; Kagome arranged her hair which had gotten a bit messed up during the flight. Finally, she got off the plane gathered her bags and walked out the airport to grab a taxi. Kagome wasn't able to remember her quiet neighborhood until she saw it again; the sun slowly hit the houses as she could hear the silent wind blowing against her face. The driver stopped at the address she had given him, he looked at her suspiciously as he helped her get her suitcase. Kagome thanked him, paid him and started climbing the thousands of stairs that would finally lead her to her home. Kagome was tired by the time she had reached her house; she had forgotten how many stairs she had to walk to reach her sweet home. Kagome dropped her bag as she smiled at the sight of her house, the beautiful white small residence. As she used to do before, she slid the door open and took off her shoes before saying the words she had been holding back her throat.
“I'm home.” She whispered before walking towards the kitchen, she knew her family wasn't awake yet so she thought about making them breakfast.
Kagome started making some rice; she wanted to eat her good Japanese food she had been missing so much. She made miso, soup, grilled fish, dried seaweed and salad. When she was done, she didn't even have to let her family know she was there since her mother was squealing in excitement.
“My baby! She's home!” Her mother yelled happily next to her ear, Kagome slowly pushed her mother away and smiled. “I'm just happy you're here Kagome.”
“So am I mom, I made breakfast… I hope you enjoy it.” Her mother's smile was about to vanish but she just let out a few nervous giggles.
“Honey, you seriously didn't have to.” Kagome knew that her mother thought she was a terrible cook after an incident a few years ago; she rolled her eyes and pushed her mother towards the table.
“Eat mom, I'll prove you wrong.” She patted her back and walked towards the kitchen frame. “Souta! Granpa! Breakfast is ready!”
The two men in the house immediately strolled down stairs and found Kagome, Souta was shocked and her grandfather embraced her into a loving hug before kissing her forehead and setting her free. Kagome roughly shook her brother's hair before kissing his cheek sweetly; Souta and her grandfather sat on the table and started eating without saying a word. Her mother looked at Kagome as she smiled proudly; she took a bit of the food and stared at her confused.
“Mom, this is delicious.” Souta said as he munched his food.
“Believe it or not honey, your sister did it.” Every movement in the table stopped, they all turned around to look at the raven haired girl with an overconfident smile on her face.
“Eat up, there's more.” She replied as she walked towards the stove, her family stared at each other before keeping on eating.
Kagome joined them soon and they talked about everything she missed in her absence, her mother told her that her brother had finally graduated middle school and that her shrine was becoming very popular due to some new rumors of demon sightings. Kagome smiled and told her about everything, of course her mother was aware of her daughter's engagement, Kagome told her about her job which she enjoyed a lot and didn't miss to talk about her boss. After a long conversation, her brother and grandfather left to their respective chores while Kagome and her mother washed the dishes.
“I'm glad things with you and Kouga are going so wonderful, he stopped by the other day… to give us our invitations to your wedding.” Kagome nodded as she kept on rising the dishes, her mother sighed. “You are happy about this? Right?”
“Happy? I'm thrilled.” Kagome asked a bit unenthusiastic, her mother shut the water and looked at her daughter, Kagome kept her stare at the floor.
“You can always think it through… how many men have you dated besides Kouga?” Kagome was about to answer when her mother smiled. “Don't lie Kagome.”
“Okay, maybe I just thought that it was time for me to settle. You were already married when you were my age and when I found Kouga… I thought it was time for me to do the same.” Her mother dragged her towards the table where she forced her daughter to take a seat.
“You don't have to fulfill my expectations, not that I was hoping for you to marry at the age of 19 but…”
“Mom, does this have a point?” Kagome asked a bit annoyed, her mother sighed.
“What if your father wasn't my right choice? Thankfully he was but I wouldn't have dared to say yes if he wasn't the right man, I never intended to get married so young but I just couldn't wait because he was the reason of my heart beats…” She smiled lightly and turned to her daughter.
“So I have to make him keep me alive?” Kagome joked; her mother laughed and kissed her forehead.
“You must realize if he's really what you need, think about that Kagome.” Her mother patted her back, she stood up but before she could start helping her wash, her mother spoke again. “You can go and rest, it was a long flight.”
Kagome nodded uncomfortable but she grabbed her bag and pulled it to her room. Nothing had changed since the last time she was there, her mother hadn't touched a thing and it still looked like a teenager's room. Poster with her favorite bands surrounded the place with a small desk on the corner right next to a chair, her bed was still with her favorite pink blanket covering it and of course her book shelf that held her favorite magazines from when she was little. Kagome took a deep breath of her room, the scent of lavender and fraises washed over her before she threw herself on her small bed.
“I'm home.” She repeated before closing her eyes and falling to sleep.

“So why did you leave your brother behind? That's not a nice thing to do Inuyasha, not after all he's done for you.” His mother reminded him.
There was nothing else that Inuyasha enjoyed as he enjoyed sleeping, his flight on the plane had been terrible but his mother wasn't helping him do justice. He had arrived at night by surprise, using his old key he entered the house and after having to hear to his father threat him into calling the police. Inuyasha quickly stopped him and asked for mercy, his father welcomed him relieved and soon his mother came to hug him and kiss him. After a long talk about his job back at his home, they decided it was better for him to rest. Inuyasha was woken up 8 hours later by his mother's strokes on his face. He yawned and got up as he realized she had brought him breakfast, the scent of the food was so delicious it burned his nose. It was as good as he remembered it.
“Sesshomaru was the one who suggested this, you know after the whole Kagura thing…” His mother nodded immediately, not needing to listen to the horrible story. “Well, he was kinda relaying on me to take care of her so I let him free to stand up for himself… it was his idea.”
“You should have waited for him to come with you…” Inuyasha arched his brow and his mother smiled and kissed his forehead. “It's not that I don't like you being here it's just that…”
“C'mon Izayoi! You need to pack your things.” Her husband reminded her, she sighed and Inuyasha looked at her confused.
“Mom, what's going on?” He replied as a little kid, his mother let out a simple nervous giggle.
“Your father and I had been planning this second honeymoon as celebration for our 25 years,” Inuyasha nodded and his mother lightly rubbed his cheek. “We had no idea you were coming, it's not like…”
“Mom, its okay… you go and have fun with dad. I can handle myself in your house.” His mother smiled brightly before leaving his bedroom.
Inuyasha started eating as he looked around his room; it wasn't actually his room but a spare room their parents had for when he and Sesshomaru decided to visit. His old room was back at his original house which had been sold a long time ago, when he and his brother had taken care of his father's company. Inuyasha was very consumed in his mother's cooking that he barely heard the knock on his door, he cleaned his mouth and looked up to stare into his father's eyes. His father sat at the edge of his bed before looking back at his son.
“How's your brother?” He asked without hesitation, Inuyasha shrugged.
“Good, he's okay… he was dating a new girl.” Inuyasha answered before taking a small drink from his orange juice.
“Really? I thought that after… well, you know. He had given up hope, I'm glad he's moving on.” Inuyasha nodded a few times and his father patted his back. “I'm sorry about this weekend, how long are you staying?”
“A few weeks… two perhaps.” Inuyasha answered, he and his father had never been very connected but he knew how hard it was for him to talk so the least he could do was to collaborate.
“That's good, we'll be back in a week… you can stay as long as you want, you know that right?” Inuyasha nodded and his father took a deep breath. “Have a fun time Inuyasha.”
“Yeah, same for you.” His father gave him a nod as a response and walked out of the room.
Inuyasha finished his breakfast quickly and smiled in satisfaction, he would always give his mother some credit for making him get interested in the world of cooking. A few minutes later his mother came in to kiss him and hug him before walking out his door to take her vacations. His father merely waved at him and went with his mother. Inuyasha went back to asleep for a few hours before waking up to notice it almost time for the sun to set and that he hadn't eaten since his mother brought him his breakfast. He dressed into comfortable jeans and a red t-shirt before walking towards the city. He had always been fascinated by the city of Tokyo, that giant metropolis had always held some certain enchanted for him which made him love Japan. He walked to a restaurant to eat something, he enjoyed a lot cooking but his stomach couldn't wait. He ordered some ramen and sat alone as he ate his food gladly, Inuyasha couldn't believe his eyes when he saw Kagome walking inside the store.
“Hey! Kagome!” He said happily, she turned around and looked at him with the same surprise in his eyes. “Come over and sit with me.”
“What…? I mean, how…? I must be dreaming.” She mumbled after a while, Inuyasha smiled as she sat next to him. “My mother didn't wake me up to pick up some food that was just part of the dream, I'm still sleeping.”
“You're not dreaming, as unbelievable as this is… yes; I am here in the city of Tokyo just like you.” Inuyasha clarified, Kagome giggled a few times.
“I'm sorry; it's not that I'm not happy to see you it's just that… how did you know I was here?” Inuyasha shook his head.
“I didn't, Sesshomaru send me off on a vacation and I thought I could visit my parents but they already had plans so I'm alone here.” Kagome smiled a little.
“Poor thing,” She laughed and he rolled his eyes.
“What about you? Why are you here?” Kagome sighed heavily.
“It's a long story but let's just say I came here to visit my family too, I haven't seen them in a while.” Inuyasha nodded as he finished his ramen, Kagome looked at her cell phone and sighed again.
“I should go; my mom is waiting for me to bring dinner.” Inuyasha nodded and just when she was getting up he grabbed her arm, Kagome looked at his bright yellow orbs and blushed a little.
“Um… would you, I mean this is as friends of course, go out with me tonight? We could have dinner?” Kagome wanted to smile but she shook her head.
“I'm having dinner with my family…” Inuyasha looked away and she felt guilty, she forced him to look at her and Kagome smiled. “But I can go by your house later by, what's your address?”
Inuyasha eagerly wrote his parent's address in a piece of napkin, Kagome gladly took it and placed it in her purse. Inuyasha kissed her cheek and walked out, she touched the place where his lips had just been and noticed it was burning. Kagome shook her head to bring herself back to reality and started making a line to buy her food.

There were only four people working that night Sesshomaru, Rin, Miroku and Sango. Rin hadn't spoken to him after their fight and possible break up, something that Sesshomaru still wasn't sure it had happened. But he was relieved when Rin showed up for her usual show, the only reason she did it was because she needed the money. Just like Miroku, Sango wanted to work with him that night since the other day they didn't finish their conversation. Sango craved for him to know her answer but it was impossible when whenever she was done cooking for someone, Miroku was too busy taking care of his costumers. The lights dimmed and Rin came up to the stage, unlike her other nights in which she would wear very sexy outfits, tonight she wore baggy jeans and an orange tank top.
“Hey guys, I hope you're enjoying your meals… I've come here only for you and to let you hear this song, this is out of control by hoobastank.” She said and the music started.
Her band started playing a sort of rock song, very different from whatever she had sung before. Sesshomaru was curious and stayed for her show, she grabbed the microphone from the mike stand and begun.
I've done everything as you say
I've followed your rules without question
I thought it would help me see things clearly
But instead of helping me to see
I look around and it's like I'm blinded
I'm spinning out of control
Out of control
I'm spinning out of control
Out of control
Where should I go?
What should I do?
I don't understand what you want from me
Cause I don't know
If I can trust you
I don't understand what you want from me
I've followed your rules without question
I thought it would help me see things clearly
But instead of helping me to see
I look around and it's like I'm blinded
I'm spinning out of control
Out of control
I'm spinning out of control
Out of control
Where should I go?
What should I do?

The crowd stared in awe at Rin as she bounced up and down on the stage, feeling the rhythm of the song as she closed her eyes and let her voice fill up the speakers. Rin opened them again to look at Sesshomaru for a second who was very shocked by her performance, she kept on going. Sango took the chance with the loud music to talk to Miroku but he could barely hear her.
“Miroku! I need to tell you something!” She yelled as she stood beside him, Miroku moved up and down his head as he felt the beat of the music.
“What?” He asked as he kept on making his food.
I feel like I'm spinning out of control
Try to focus but everything's twisted
And all alone I thought you would be there
To let me know I'm not alone
But in fact that's exactly what I was
I'm spinning out of control
Out of control
I'm spinning out of control
Out of control
This time she made sure Sesshomaru was staring at her and only at her, she looked at him with fire burning in her eyes as she recited the chorus again. He could understand perfectly what she was telling him, Sesshomaru had been screwing it up for a long time and she had no idea why. He didn't look away but she did. Sango tried again.

He could understand perfectly what she was telling him, Sesshomaru had been screwing it up for a long time and she had no idea why. He didn't look away but she did. Sango tried again.
“I said I need to tell you something!” She screamed and he looked at her confused as he moved his ear towards her mouth.
“I can't hear you!” he confessed, she shook her head.
I may never know the answer
To this endless mystery
Where should I go?
What should I do?
I don't understand what you want from me
Is it a mystery?

Rin was positive to finish the song, she shrieked at top of her lungs as the hardcore part of the song came. Sesshomaru was aware of the pain he had caused her and he was more than sure after listening to the song. Sango tapped Miroku's shoulder impatiently as they heard the song coming to the end.
“I need to tell you that…” She grabbed all the possible air that could be held in her lungs. “I love you!”
Just as those words left her mouth, the music stopped and Sango blushed furiously as the whole restaurant was staring at her. Miroku held a confident smile on his lips as she covered her face in embarrassment, she quickly ran out towards the kitchen and he followed her closely. Sango closed her eyes wishing everything was a nightmare, Miroku patted her shoulder lightly and she opened her eyes but she immediately closed them again when she felt his lips on top of hers. `Pure heaven.' She thought as his sweet kiss devoured her, once they were both breathless Miroku pulled apart as he panted heavily.
“What about Yuka?” Sango asked as he held her between his arms.
“What about Hiten?” Miroku replied before she smiled and kissed him again.

Rin didn't have to change because she thought her clothes were suitable but Sesshomaru caught her before she could walk out of the restaurant, she shot him a deadly look but he only sighed before searching for the right words to tell her. Rin tapped her foot against the floor impatiently as she waited for him to start.
“I should apologize for…”
“Of course you should! You picked her!” Rin screamed and he nodded calmly.
“Right, but I saw you kissing… him.” Rin snorted and rolled her eyes.
“Your point?” She asked, Sesshomaru was about to speak when a man came out of nowhere.
“That was a brilliant performance indeed!” He congratulated Rin as he shook his hand; she smiled and looked at him confused.
“Um… excuse me, do I know you?” The man shook his head.
“No, but Mr. Kohaku send me to check you out… he said you were a very talented singer and he wasn't joking! I'm Jijenji, I own the Kishon records and I'm willing to give you, young lady, the opportunity of getting your own record… call me, if you're interested.” He said giving her a card and she smiled.
