Hey Minna! Remember the old man in the first chapter? Well you finally find out who he is. And if your wondering about Jinx and what exactly she is you'll find out in later chapters so stop hounding me. And I would like to clear this up. Jinx is not me I have no clue where you people get these crazy ideas. ;) By the way this chappie will contain sexual situations. On with the fic!

"Papa I'm home!" Jinx called out as she walked in her house with the elegant sounds of Lena Horne's voice floating towards her relaxing her frayed nerves. As she threw down her keys on the table by the front door she heard her godfather call out to her,
"I'm back here Jinx!"
As she walked through the house furnished with ancient artifacts and objects from all the places they lived in. She finally found her godfather in his study talking with someone on the phone. As she walked around the huge mahogany desk and gave him a kiss on the cheek he motioned for her to have a seat. As Jinx went to sit she thought about how well this room reflected her Uncle Xavier, deep rich soothing colors which did nothing to take away from the commanding presence of the room or the man that sat within it. Jinx smiled as she heard his calming voice wash over her relaxing her even more. As she went over to the large black leather sofa she stretched and lay down. From the sound of the conversation Uncle Xavier was in he was in the middle of business.
As Jinx lay there she thought about her first day at Still Waters High. The only part that bothered her though was what happened at the end of the day. ' I was going to let Sessoumaru kiss me. If Mirouku hadn't come along...' well she didn't want to think about that right now. Even though she was still wondering why he had run off so fast not to mention what she was going to say to him when she saw him in, one hour and seventeen minutes, she thought to herself with a sigh earning a curious look from her godfather. With a small wave to let him know she was fine she closed her eyes and thought back to what happened after Mirouku had found her and Sessoumaru

"Hey monk...monk...MIROUKU!" Inuyasha finally yelled at his daydreaming friend snapping him out of whatever it was he was in.
"What? Oh sorry Inuyasha. Just thinking about something." Mirouku told him.
"About what? Mirouku...Mirouku! Fuck it." Inuyasha said with a disgusted sigh and went back to driving. As Mirouku had dropped back in his other world.
Mirouku stared at the rapidly changing scenery he tried to wrap his mind around the strange things that he had witnessed most of them having to do with his new friend Jinx. That whole almost kiss thing didn't bother him he had seen the sparks between Sessoumaru and Jinx immediately. The only reason he had stopped them is because he wanted Jinx to wait a while. To get to know Sessoumaru more before she got involved with him. He had a reputation around school for going cold on the few girls he'd dated. But he had a feeling that Jinx could handle herself. No that didn't bother him. What did bother him though was the strange power he had never felt just a short while before he had run into Jinx and Sessoumaru. And his suspicions were heightened when as Jinx and Sessoumaru were about to kiss he noticed Jinx's left shoulder glowing. There was no other word to describe it her shoulder or rather something on her shoulder was slightly glowing which was another reason Mirouku had interrupted when he did. Something was definitely going on. He didn't know if she was a youkai or not but she didn't seem like one.
After Sessoumaru had left telling Jinx to meet him at his place Mirouku had done the perverted thing and asked her what Sessoumaru had meant by that. Jinx just rolled her eyes and told him that she and Sessoumaru had been partnered for a project. People didn't realize what a good way asking seemingly perverted questions was to get information. As they walked outside Mirouku was thinking about the best way to broach the subject of what he had seen but before he had a chance to speak with her Sango and Kagome had come up to say hello with Inuyasha. Then Kouga being the asshole that he was, seeing Kagome and Inuyasha within one-hundred feet of each other, came over to make trouble. And in the chaos that insued He never got a chance to.
(Flashback)
"Look dog shit. I told you I don't want you near MY woman." Kouga said to Inuyasha.
"She is not your woman asshole. She's only with you because you picked her up on the rebound from me." Inuyasha shot back.
"Why you little..."
"ENOUGH!" Kagome yelled at them both. "Kouga I will talk with, hang out with, and be friends with whomever I wish. I DO NOT need your approval GOT THAT! Inuyasha I was never with you in the first place and you have no idea the reason why I'm with Kouga so you can just keep your mouth shut. As you can see I don't need you to protect me. Oh and one more thing Kouga that whole part about me being your woman is under serious debate." As Kagome finished speaking there was nothing but silence. Suddenly Jinx spoke up breaking the trance everyone seemed to have gone in.
"Now that's what I'm talking about! She told you!" Jinx said her voice laced with amusement as she pointed to both Inuyasha and Kouga. "This is a woman who knows how to handle herself. Kagome if you feel like waiting a minute I'll give you a ride home. You can wait in the car if you want." Kagome turned and gave Jinx a grateful look and turned to start walking to Jinx's car. As Jinx followed Kagome she whispered to Mirouku and Sango, "Remind me not to get on Kag's bad side."
(End Flashback)
Jinx had been so preoccupied with hooking up a portable battery recharger and getting Kagome home that he didn't have a chance to ask her anything. But maybe that was a good thing. He should watch her and if anything else strange happened before he spoke with Jinx. That's exactly what he would do Mirouku thought to himself with a resolute nod of his head earning a strange look from Inuyasha but not noticing it. From that moment Mirouku decided to watch Jinx as much as possible and with a body and face like hers it wasn't that bad of an assignment Mirouku thought with a content lecherous smile on his face.
"Hentai." Inuyasha muttered under his breath shaking his head.

"I got an interesting phone call today. Several in fact." Xavier said looking at his niece.
"That's nice." Jinx said nonchalantly.
"Yes it would have been if they weren't from your principal complaining about your driving skills and overly loud music."
"I was late and it wasn't that loud."
"Or from your English teacher complaining of your lack of respect."
"The guy was being an asshole, assumed that the books he had on some stupid lists were to hard for me to read and I simply took it upon myself to correct him."
"The fencing coach called and said that you defeated their star fencer."
"It was a tie."
"He now wants you to join the team. You would be the first girl ever."
"I'm not a joiner."
"And to top it all off I get a call from your music teacher.
"I don't take music."
"I know that so why am I getting phone calls from him saying that you have an incredible voice!"
"Whoa. Calm down Papa Bear. I just sort of sang for the music teacher." Jinx told him in a soothing voice.
"You what." He said in a deadly soft voice.
"Don't freak Papa."
"TOO LATE!"
"Papa Bear."
"Don't you Papa Bear me young lady." Xavier told her sternly. "You know you can't do things like that. You know what happens."
"Yes I know perfectly well what happens I've known for eighteen years thank you. I am not an idiot I kept myself and my powers in check." Jinx told him indignantly.
"I know darling I just worry."
"That's okay. I forgive you." Jinx said with a cheeky grin.
"Thank... HEY! Wait a minute!"
"I love you Papa Bear." Jinx told him laughing and giving him a hug.
"I'm getting to old for this." Xavier said shaking his head wearily and walking out of the study.
"What are you talking about?" Jinx questioned following him. "You're fifty-two."
"I'm an old man now Jinx" He told her with a pitiful look on his face as they walked in to the kitchen.
"Uh-huh." Jinx said skeptically as she looked over her godfather. Tall with dark black hair with honey gold streaks that fell just below his shoulders, chocolate brown eyes with flecks of navy blue and a body like Arnold. Xavier Calder Braxton looked forty-two at the least. Not to mention he was as healthy as a horse, so no way was she buying in to the old man crap.
"Old man huh?" Jinx asked him. "This from the man who just this morning ran ten miles and can bench press two-fifty?"
"Two-seventy five." He corrected her with a smirk. "Do you want to go a couple of rounds?" He asked her dropping in a fighting stance.
"Sorry old man," Jinx said with a shake of her head. "but I don't have time to kick your ass. I have to go and work on a photography project with, get this, a partner. Whom I despise and I might add the feeling is mutual."
"Who is it?"
"You know the guy I tied in fencing?"
"Let me guess, he's your partner." Xavier said smiling.
"Tell me you didn't see this one coming?"
"A mile away." He told her. "So what's his name?" Her godfather asked her as she turned to get something out of the fridge.
"Sessoumaru Kauzon. Arrogant, conceited, and thinks he owns the world. Sango, this girl I met at school, told me his family is the shit around here." Jinx told him as she took a long pull from her Arizona Mandarin Orange ice green tea. "You ever heard of them?"
"Yes in fact I have. The Kauzon's are a very old, powerful, and respected family." Emphasizing the the last four words then fixing her with a stern look he told her, "Be good."
"Uncle Xavier. We've lived all over the world since I was ten. In that time we've met with lords and ladies, kings and queens, emperors, ambassadors and everything in between. I know how to act like a lady."
"Like a princess." He agreed.
"Exactly. I can handle myself. I promise I will not shame you, the family name, or the many titles you have received." Jinx told solemnly.
"Or yours." He told her pointedly.
"Yeah, yeah." Jinx said waving her hand at him and noticing the time on her watch. "OH SHIT!" She yelled running out of the kitchen. "I'm gonna be late!"
"A lady doesn't swear!" He yelled after her.
"You're right," Jinx told him running back in and giving him a kiss on the cheek, "a LADY doesn't and I only said I'd ACT like a lady."

'Did I almost kiss her?' Sessoumaru thought to himself as he walked into his family's home. Stupid question of course he did and would have done a lot more if not for that little interruption.
"Sessoumaru-sama welcome home." The Kauzon's majordomo Jaken said as he met his master in the long entrance hall. "I trust you had a good day at school."
"No I did not actually." Sessoumaru told him in cool tones. "Is my father home Jaken?"
"Yes Lord Sessoumaru he is in his study. He has requested that you join him and your stepmother as soon as you arrive home."
"Then I should not keep them waiting any longer should I?" Sessoumaru asked rasing an eyebrow at the toad servant.
"Yes, yes, of course. Forgive this lowly one for keeping you." Jaken groveled submissively bowing and moving to let Sessoumaru pass. Following at an exact five paces behind. As they stood in front of Lord Inutaisho's study Jaken knocked twice and announced Sessoumaru's arrival.
"Good afternoon Father, Yuriko." Bowing to each in turn. "Jaken told me you wished to see me."
"Yes we did. As you know we will be hosting The Crystal Light Ball this year. What we didn't know is that because of scheduling it will start one week earlier this year. Most of the family will be here along with the other lords with their mates and children. Also the Sultan of Maharashtra will be attending along with the crown prince and several of his children.
"Most of whom I suppose are female." Sessoumaru stated without feeling. "I suppose that it's just a coincidence along with The Ball being held hear this year. Oh and let's not forget that the family has been pressuring you to make me choose a mate, that wouldn't have anything to do with this, "Sessoumaru mused tilting his head slightly to the side and looking at his father, "would it?"
"I always said you were very perceptive." His father chuckled
"Didn't take much." Sessoumaru quipped blandly.
"Sessoumaru you must understand we only want what's best for you" Yuriko told Sessoumaru softly from her place on the sofa.
"What's best for me?" Sessoumaru asked in arctic tones turning to face his stepmother with narrowed eyes. "What's best for me has never been your problem Yuriko. Now that I am nineteen this is true more now than ever."
"Sessoumaru that is enough!" Lord Inutaisho told his son angrily. Going to stand next to his young wife protectively whose face was crumpled with sadness. "Apologize to your mother this instant for your disrespect!"
"That woman will never be my mother. How dare you refer to her as such." Sessoumaru told his father disdainfully. "As to choosing a mate I will choose whom I like, when I like. I will not bow to the whims and pressures of others as you did Father. I suggest you get used to it." And with that Sessoumaru bowed stiffly to them both turned on his heel and walked out of his father's study shutting the door with a silent final click.

"Meet me at my house he says." Jinx said to herself with a snort as she looked up at a mansion so huge it could have been called a castle, which it probably wa "This is just a house and I'm the queen of Egypt." She should have known that this wasn't your ordinary house when she came upon the hundred foot tall hedges that stretched for miles in either direction. Or maybe when she came to the equally tall iron gates intricately carved with sakura blossoms surrounding a family crest. Yep those should have been clues. As she gripped her portfolio, tripod, and camera bag, light shields and a bag full of backgrounds she might need. Jinx walked up the stairs leading to the front door. As she prepared to knock on the large double doors they suddenly swung open on there own.
"Lady Jinx Williams?" A young looking youkai maid asked.
"It's just Jinx."
"We've been expecting you miss. Please come in and follow me." The maid said gesturing with her hands. "Lord Sessoumaru has been expecting you."
"I'll just bet he has." Jinx said under her breath as the maid escorted her up a tall curving staircase. "A girl could feel like Cinderella coming down these stairs." Jinx said smiling to herself.
"I often thought the same thing when I was little." The maid told her turning slightly to face Jinx. "I would glide down the stairs pretending that I was going to a grand ball."
"Um..."
"Megan miss."
"Meagan not to sound rude but when were you little?" Jinx asked her.
"One-hundred and twenty-six years ago miss." Meagan told her smiling.
"Really. Cause you don't look a day over a hundred and fifteen."
"Thank you miss Jinx." Meagan told her laughing softly at the joke.
"Could you not call me 'miss'? If you want you could just call me Jinx."
"I would like that very much. But only in private. I could get in trouble if I address you so informally in public. Deal?"
"Deal." Jinx told her as they stopped in front of a door that Jinx could only assume led into Sessoumaru's bedroom. 'WHOA! NO, NO WRONG!' A voice yelled in her head. Bedroom, bed, things they could on the bed, in the bed, on the floor next to the bed, under the bed. No! This can NOT happen. But before she could stop her Meagan was already knocking on the door.
"What." A familiar cool voice called out from the other side of the door.
"Miss Jinx is here my lord." Meagan called out.
"Come" The voice ordered regally.
Good luck. Meagan mouthed to Jinx before beating a hasty retreat down the hallway. Jinx didn't blame her.
"I said come." The voice once again commanded. Jinx took a deep breath and opened the door.
"Come. I must be confused I thought you were the dog?" Jinx asked sarcastically closing the door behind her. And with the finality of that door shutting she felt as if she had closed the door on something she no longer had control over.
"Has anyone ever told you you're a smart-ass?" Sessoumaru asked her curiously.
"Not today." Jinx said with a cheeky grin.
"This is going to be a long day." Sessoumaru muttered under his breath.
"It's already been a long day. But it's about to get longer." Jinx said correcting him.
"Look set up where you want." Sessoumaru told her gesturing around. "But mess up the room and we've got a problem."
"Fuck the room we already got a problem." Jinx said looking him dead in the eye.

"You are such a smart-ass!" Sessoumaru bit out annoyed beyond comprehension at the girl in front of him.
"And you're a pain in the ass!" Jinx shot back equally annoyed. "Look for the past hour and a half we've done nothing but fight about everything except what we should be fighting about."
"And what would that be?" Sessoumaru asked her apprehensively.
"You know what."
"No, I don't know what. If I knew what 'what' was I wouldn't have asked you what the 'what' was."
"What?!"
"This is getting on my nerves."
"That almost kiss thing." Jinx told him.
"We should be fighting about that?"

"Why?"
"Why shouldn't we be?"

Please don't start that again." Jinx told him sitting at his desk and putting her head in her hands.
Sessoumaru just stared at her in confusion how they went from her being a smart-ass to kissing he'll never know. Ever since she had come in the room there had been this underlying sexual tension that just would not go away and those jeans she was wearing didn't help. Jeans that drew attention to every curve she had and boy did she have some curves. Curves attached to long, long legs that would feel so good wrapped around him. Not to mention the scent of her that seemed to change with her varying moods. Which at this moment smelled of cinnamon, sunlight, and pure heat. Intoxicating him as if he had drunk to much and feeling completely out of control.
"We wouldn't be fighting about anything if you hadn't..."
"I know your not going to blame this on me." Jinx asked him her voice slightly muffled by the fact that her head was still in her hands.
"Blame what, the fact that you got to close? Ever hear of personal space?" Sessoumaru asked her snidely.
"To close?" Jinx chuckled under her breath. "To close?!" She repeated furiously standing up and walking toward him. "How close is to close Sessoumaru?" She asked in a low voice. "This close?" She asked stopping a foot in front of him. "Or, Is this to close?" Jinx asked again her body a few inches from his. Looking up at him through her lashes she wet her lips close enough so that if she tried she would have licked his.
"Tell me when I've gotten to close and I'll stop. If you want me to."
"I...don't..." Sessoumaru began.
"You what? You don't know? Is that it?" Jinx asked him as she stepped back from him and started to pack her camera bag. "Well you know what I think?! I think that you spend a lot of time not knowing and I'm guessing it's because you've probably convinced yourself that you can't get to close physically or emotionally. And don't think that this is easy for me either. Almost falling for a guy that I've known for less than..twelve hours." Jinx said after taking a quick look at her watch. "I don't exactly know what I want either. Except," Jinx paused looking at him with her hand on the door knob , "I do know exactly what I want and if you can't..."
Suddenly Jinx found herself pressed against the door and drowning in a pair of gold eyes.
"Woman you talk to much." Sessoumaru told her with an almost smile.
"I've been told that before."
"What I was going to say is I don't want you to stop because I could never get you close enough."
"Would you please just kiss me?" Jinx pleaded with him in a soft whisper.
Sessoumaru barely dipped his head down before someone knocked on the door.
"SESSOU!" A young girl called through the door. "ARE YOU IN THERE?"
"NO." Sessoumaru ground out.
"Can I come in?"
"Just a second Rin." He called to her as he backed off of Jinx with his mask of indifference back in place.
"I have to go home." Jinx said slightly panicked. "Now. I'll, um, I'll call you later to see about the project." Jinx told him turning and opening the door and found her looking into a pair of a big hazel eyes.
"Hi. I'm Rin." The girl chirped at her. "I'm ten. Who are you?"
"Hi Rin my name is Jinx." Jinx smiled at her.
"Are you Sessoumaru's girlfriend?"
"No I'm not." Jinx told her.
"Then why are you in his room?"
"Well your brother and I are working on a photography project together. See?" Jinx said pulling out her camera and taking a picture of Rin. As Rin giggled and posed for the camera Sessoumaru cleared his throat.
"Rin Jinx has to get home." Sessoumaru told the little girl.
"But I want Jinx to stay and play with me." Rin pouted.
"Well I'll be back." Jinx told the girl.
"Oh. Okay!" The little girl smiled happily.
"Would you like to walk me to my car?" Jinx asked her.
"That red one outside?" Rin asked hopefully.
"Yep." Jinx said nodding her head and swinging her bag over her shoulder.
"YEA!!" Rin yelled jumping up and down as she latched on to Jinx's hand and pulling her down the hall.
"Jinx." Sessoumaru called out to her.
"Yeah?"
"I'll see you tomorrow."
"Yeah see you." Jinx said with a small smile. "Caio."

(Later that night)

"Oh Sessoumaru please don't stop." Jinx gasped out as Sessoumaru pushed his two fingers deeper inside her feeling her wet heat. "Please." She gasped out again.
"Please what?" Sessoumaru growled as he took one of her nipples into his mouth. She twined her fingers in his long hair as she cried out and arched her back to meet him.

Oh and one more thing Kouga that whole part about me being your woman is under serious debate." As Kagome finished speaking there was nothing but silence. Suddenly Jinx spoke up breaking the trance everyone seemed to have gone in.
"Now that's what I'm talking about! She told you!" Jinx said her voice laced with amusement as she pointed to both Inuyasha and Kouga. "This is a woman who knows how to handle herself. Kagome if you feel like waiting a minute I'll give you a ride home. You can wait in the car if you want." Kagome turned and gave Jinx a grateful look and turned to start walking to Jinx's car. As Jinx followed Kagome she whispered to Mirouku and Sango, "Remind me not to get on Kag's bad side."

Jinx had been so preoccupied with hooking up a portable battery recharger and getting Kagome home that he didn't have a chance to ask her anything. But maybe that was a good thing. He should watch her and if anything else strange happened before he spoke with Jinx. That's exactly what he would do Mirouku thought to himself with a resolute nod of his head earning a strange look from Inuyasha but not noticing it. From that moment Mirouku decided to watch Jinx as much as possible and with a body and face like hers it wasn't that bad of an assignment Mirouku thought with a content lecherous smile on his face.

"I got an interesting phone call today. Several in fact." Xavier said looking at his niece.
"That's nice." Jinx said nonchalantly.
"Yes it would have been if they weren't from your principal complaining about your driving skills and overly loud music."
"I was late and it wasn't that loud."
"Or from your English teacher complaining of your lack of respect."
"The guy was being an asshole, assumed that the books he had on some stupid lists were to hard for me to read and I simply took it upon myself to correct him."
"The fencing coach called and said that you defeated their star fencer."
"It was a tie."
"He now wants you to join the team. You would be the first girl ever."
"I'm not a joiner."
"And to top it all off I get a call from your music teacher.
"I don't take music."
"I know that so why am I getting phone calls from him saying that you have an incredible voice!"
"Whoa. Calm down Papa Bear. I just sort of sang for the music teacher." Jinx told him in a soothing voice.
"You what." He said in a deadly soft voice.
"Don't freak Papa."
"TOO LATE!"
"Papa Bear."
"Don't you Papa Bear me young lady." Xavier told her sternly. "You know you can't do things like that. You know what happens."
"Yes I know perfectly well what happens I've known for eighteen years thank you. I am not an idiot I kept myself and my powers in check." Jinx told him indignantly.
"I know darling I just worry."
"That's okay. I forgive you." Jinx said with a cheeky grin.
"Thank... HEY! Wait a minute!"
"I love you Papa Bear." Jinx told him laughing and giving him a hug.
"I'm getting to old for this." Xavier said shaking his head wearily and walking out of the study.
"What are you talking about?" Jinx questioned following him. "You're fifty-two."
"I'm an old man now Jinx" He told her with a pitiful look on his face as they walked in to the kitchen.
"Uh-huh." Jinx said skeptically as she looked over her godfather. Tall with dark black hair with honey gold streaks that fell just below his shoulders, chocolate brown eyes with flecks of navy blue and a body like Arnold. Xavier Calder Braxton looked forty-two at the least. Not to mention he was as healthy as a horse, so no way was she buying in to the old man crap.
"Old man huh?" Jinx asked him. "This from the man who just this morning ran ten miles and can bench press two-fifty?"
"Two-seventy five." He corrected her with a smirk. "Do you want to go a couple of rounds?" He asked her dropping in a fighting stance.
"Sorry old man," Jinx said with a shake of her head. "but I don't have time to kick your ass. I have to go and work on a photography project with, get this, a partner. Whom I despise and I might add the feeling is mutual."
"Who is it?"
"You know the guy I tied in fencing?"
"Let me guess, he's your partner." Xavier said smiling.
"Tell me you didn't see this one coming?"
"A mile away." He told her. "So what's his name?" Her godfather asked her as she turned to get something out of the fridge.
"Sessoumaru Kauzon. Arrogant, conceited, and thinks he owns the world. Sango, this girl I met at school, told me his family is the shit around here." Jinx told him as she took a long pull from her Arizona Mandarin Orange ice green tea. "You ever heard of them?"
"Yes in fact I have. The Kauzon's are a very old, powerful, and respected family." Emphasizing the the last four words then fixing her with a stern look he told her, "Be good."
"Uncle Xavier. We've lived all over the world since I was ten. In that time we've met with lords and ladies, kings and queens, emperors, ambassadors and everything in between. I know how to act like a lady."
"Like a princess." He agreed.
"Exactly. I can handle myself. I promise I will not shame you, the family name, or the many titles you have received." Jinx told solemnly.
"Or yours." He told her pointedly.
"Yeah, yeah." Jinx said waving her hand at him and noticing the time on her watch. "OH SHIT!" She yelled running out of the kitchen. "I'm gonna be late!"
"A lady doesn't swear!" He yelled after her.
"You're right," Jinx told him running back in and giving him a kiss on the cheek, "a LADY doesn't and I only said I'd ACT like a lady."

'Did I almost kiss her?' Sessoumaru thought to himself as he walked into his family's home. Stupid question of course he did and would have done a lot more if not for that little interruption.
"Sessoumaru-sama welcome home." The Kauzon's majordomo Jaken said as he met his master in the long entrance hall. "I trust you had a good day at school."
"No I did not actually." Sessoumaru told him in cool tones. "Is my father home Jaken?"
"Yes Lord Sessoumaru he is in his study. He has requested that you join him and your stepmother as soon as you arrive home."
"Then I should not keep them waiting any longer should I?" Sessoumaru asked rasing an eyebrow at the toad servant.
"Yes, yes, of course. Forgive this lowly one for keeping you." Jaken groveled submissively bowing and moving to let Sessoumaru pass. Following at an exact five paces behind. As they stood in front of Lord Inutaisho's study Jaken knocked twice and announced Sessoumaru's arrival.
"Good afternoon Father, Yuriko." Bowing to each in turn. "Jaken told me you wished to see me."
"Yes we did. As you know we will be hosting The Crystal Light Ball this year. What we didn't know is that because of scheduling it will start one week earlier this year. Most of the family will be here along with the other lords with their mates and children. Also the Sultan of Maharashtra will be attending along with the crown prince and several of his children.
"Most of whom I suppose are female." Sessoumaru stated without feeling. "I suppose that it's just a coincidence along with The Ball being held hear this year. Oh and let's not forget that the family has been pressuring you to make me choose a mate, that wouldn't have anything to do with this, "Sessoumaru mused tilting his head slightly to the side and looking at his father, "would it?"
"I always said you were very perceptive." His father chuckled
"Didn't take much." Sessoumaru quipped blandly.
"Sessoumaru you must understand we only want what's best for you" Yuriko told Sessoumaru softly from her place on the sofa.
"What's best for me?" Sessoumaru asked in arctic tones turning to face his stepmother with narrowed eyes. "What's best for me has never been your problem Yuriko. Now that I am nineteen this is true more now than ever."
"Sessoumaru that is enough!" Lord Inutaisho told his son angrily. Going to stand next to his young wife protectively whose face was crumpled with sadness. "Apologize to your mother this instant for your disrespect!"
"That woman will never be my mother. How dare you refer to her as such." Sessoumaru told his father disdainfully. "As to choosing a mate I will choose whom I like, when I like. I will not bow to the whims and pressures of others as you did Father. I suggest you get used to it." And with that Sessoumaru bowed stiffly to them both turned on his heel and walked out of his father's study shutting the door with a silent final click.

"Meet me at my house he says." Jinx said to herself with a snort as she looked up at a mansion so huge it could have been called a castle, which it probably wa "This is just a house and I'm the queen of Egypt." She should have known that this wasn't your ordinary house when she came upon the hundred foot tall hedges that stretched for miles in either direction. Or maybe when she came to the equally tall iron gates intricately carved with sakura blossoms surrounding a family crest. Yep those should have been clues. As she gripped her portfolio, tripod, and camera bag, light shields and a bag full of backgrounds she might need. Jinx walked up the stairs leading to the front door. As she prepared to knock on the large double doors they suddenly swung open on there own.
"Lady Jinx Williams?" A young looking youkai maid asked.
"It's just Jinx."
"We've been expecting you miss. Please come in and follow me." The maid said gesturing with her hands. "Lord Sessoumaru has been expecting you."
"I'll just bet he has." Jinx said under her breath as the maid escorted her up a tall curving staircase. "A girl could feel like Cinderella coming down these stairs." Jinx said smiling to herself.
"I often thought the same thing when I was little." The maid told her turning slightly to face Jinx. "I would glide down the stairs pretending that I was going to a grand ball."
"Um..."
"Megan miss."
"Meagan not to sound rude but when were you little?" Jinx asked her.
"One-hundred and twenty-six years ago miss." Meagan told her smiling.
"Really. Cause you don't look a day over a hundred and fifteen."
"Thank you miss Jinx." Meagan told her laughing softly at the joke.
"Could you not call me 'miss'? If you want you could just call me Jinx."
"I would like that very much. But only in private. I could get in trouble if I address you so informally in public. Deal?"
"Deal." Jinx told her as they stopped in front of a door that Jinx could only assume led into Sessoumaru's bedroom. 'WHOA! NO, NO WRONG!' A voice yelled in her head. Bedroom, bed, things they could on the bed, in the bed, on the floor next to the bed, under the bed. No! This can NOT happen. But before she could stop her Meagan was already knocking on the door.
"What." A familiar cool voice called out from the other side of the door.
"Miss Jinx is here my lord." Meagan called out.
"Come" The voice ordered regally.
Good luck. Meagan mouthed to Jinx before beating a hasty retreat down the hallway. Jinx didn't blame her.
"I said come." The voice once again commanded. Jinx took a deep breath and opened the door.
"Come. I must be confused I thought you were the dog?" Jinx asked sarcastically closing the door behind her. And with the finality of that door shutting she felt as if she had closed the door on something she no longer had control over.
"Has anyone ever told you you're a smart-ass?" Sessoumaru asked her curiously.
"Not today." Jinx said with a cheeky grin.
"This is going to be a long day." Sessoumaru muttered under his breath.
"It's already been a long day. But it's about to get longer." Jinx said correcting him.
"Look set up where you want." Sessoumaru told her gesturing around. "But mess up the room and we've got a problem."
"Fuck the room we already got a problem." Jinx said looking him dead in the eye.

"You are such a smart-ass!" Sessoumaru bit out annoyed beyond comprehension at the girl in front of him.
"And you're a pain in the ass!" Jinx shot back equally annoyed. "Look for the past hour and a half we've done nothing but fight about everything except what we should be fighting about."
"And what would that be?" Sessoumaru asked her apprehensively.
"You know what."
"No, I don't know what. If I knew what 'what' was I wouldn't have asked you what the 'what' was."
"What?!"
"This is getting on my nerves."
"That almost kiss thing." Jinx told him.
"We should be fighting about that?"
"Yes."
"Why?"
"Why shouldn't we be?"
"Why shouldn't we be, what?"
Please don't start that again." Jinx told him sitting at his desk and putting her head in her hands.
Sessoumaru just stared at her in confusion how they went from her being a smart-ass to kissing he'll never know. Ever since she had come in the room there had been this underlying sexual tension that just would not go away and those jeans she was wearing didn't help. Jeans that drew attention to every curve she had and boy did she have some curves. Curves attached to long, long legs that would feel so good wrapped around him. Not to mention the scent of her that seemed to change with her varying moods. Which at this moment smelled of cinnamon, sunlight, and pure heat. Intoxicating him as if he had drunk to much and feeling completely out of control.
"We wouldn't be fighting about anything if you hadn't..."
"I know your not going to blame this on me." Jinx asked him her voice slightly muffled by the fact that her head was still in her hands.
"Blame what, the fact that you got to close? Ever hear of personal space?" Sessoumaru asked her snidely.
"To close?" Jinx chuckled under her breath. "To close?!" She repeated furiously standing up and walking toward him. "How close is to close Sessoumaru?" She asked in a low voice. "This close?" She asked stopping a foot in front of him. "Or, Is this to close?" Jinx asked again her body a few inches from his. Looking up at him through her lashes she wet her lips close enough so that if she tried she would have licked his.
"Tell me when I've gotten to close and I'll stop. If you want me to."
"I...don't..." Sessoumaru began.
"You what? You don't know? Is that it?" Jinx asked him as she stepped back from him and started to pack her camera bag. "Well you know what I think?! I think that you spend a lot of time not knowing and I'm guessing it's because you've probably convinced yourself that you can't get to close physically or emotionally. And don't think that this is easy for me either. Almost falling for a guy that I've known for less than..twelve hours." Jinx said after taking a quick look at her watch. "I don't exactly know what I want either. Except," Jinx paused looking at him with her hand on the door knob , "I do know exactly what I want and if you can't..."
Suddenly Jinx found herself pressed against the door and drowning in a pair of gold eyes.
"Woman you talk to much." Sessoumaru told her with an almost smile.
"I've been told that before."
"What I was going to say is I don't want you to stop because I could never get you close enough."
"Would you please just kiss me?" Jinx pleaded with him in a soft whisper.
Sessoumaru barely dipped his head down before someone knocked on the door.
"SESSOU!" A young girl called through the door. "ARE YOU IN THERE?"
"NO." Sessoumaru ground out.
"Can I come in?"
"Just a second Rin." He called to her as he backed off of Jinx with his mask of indifference back in place.
"I have to go home." Jinx said slightly panicked. "Now. I'll, um, I'll call you later to see about the project." Jinx told him turning and opening the door and found her looking into a pair of a big hazel eyes.
"Hi. I'm Rin." The girl chirped at her. "I'm ten. Who are you?"
"Hi Rin my name is Jinx." Jinx smiled at her.
"Are you Sessoumaru's girlfriend?"
"No I'm not." Jinx told her.
"Then why are you in his room?"
"Well your brother and I are working on a photography project together. See?" Jinx said pulling out her camera and taking a picture of Rin. As Rin giggled and posed for the camera Sessoumaru cleared his throat.
"Rin Jinx has to get home." Sessoumaru told the little girl.
"But I want Jinx to stay and play with me." Rin pouted.
"Well I'll be back." Jinx told the girl.
"Oh. Okay!" The little girl smiled happily.
"Would you like to walk me to my car?" Jinx asked her.
"That red one outside?" Rin asked hopefully.
"Yep." Jinx said nodding her head and swinging her bag over her shoulder.
"YEA!!" Rin yelled jumping up and down as she latched on to Jinx's hand and pulling her down the hall.
"Jinx." Sessoumaru called out to her.
"Yeah?"
"I'll see you tomorrow."
"Yeah see you." Jinx said with a small smile. "Caio."

(Later that night)

"Oh Sessoumaru please don't stop." Jinx gasped out as Sessoumaru pushed his two fingers deeper inside her feeling her wet heat. "Please." She gasped out again.
"Please what?" Sessoumaru growled as he took one of her nipples into his mouth. She twined her fingers in his long hair as she cried out and arched her back to meet him.
"Please let me cum." Jinx begged him as she tightened her grip in his hair. Sessoumaru let go of her nipple giving it a long lick before grinning up at her as she shuddered beneath him.
"All you had to do was ask." He told her as he pulled his fingers out of her. As she whimpered at the loss of him inside her. He quickly slid down her body and replaced his fingers with his tongue. Jinx screamed out his name as she felt his tongue moving against her clit. Her hip began to rock and press harder into his face trying to get closer. She began to whimper as his tongue went in and out of her core making this unbelievable pressure build up inside her until she could no longer hold back screaming out his name.
"SESSOUMARU!"
As Sessoumaru jerked awake and sat up in bed breathing heavily still aroused by his dream one thought came into his head.
