Repost: I don't want anyone saying I stole this story because for some odd reason FF.net won't let me post this story under Dark Past Kisses So I had to make a new one and post it under my new screen name. For those of you who have already read the first two chapters go on to chapter 3. Nothing has been changed.

Hello everyone! I hope you guys enjoy this.
Disclaimer: For all chapters, I don't own Inuyasha and co.
Inside of Me
Chapter 1
---------------------------------------------------------- --------
Talk of an older time
Where clocks hold no purpose
When fantasies come to life
Stories are made
And great ones are reborn
So it starts...
---------------------------------------------------------- -----------
Once again she was stuck here doing chores for Kikyo. But unlike all the other days, today was a special day. Today was…
“Kagome! Kagome where are you!”
Kagome sighed for what was the fifth time that day. Kikyo was running her ragged and if she didn't get a break soon she would most likely beat the princess into a bloody pulp.
“Kagome, I do believe I am calling you!”
`What I wouldn't give to…'
“Yes, your highness?”
“Kagome, can you never do anything right? I've been calling you for at least 3 minutes and you have yet to appear until just now.”
“Your highness I…”
“Never mind your lousy excuses Kagome. Do what you are told when you are told.”
Another sigh. She hated it when Kikyo spoke to her as if she was a child. Kikyo demanded for you to do what she asks immediately no matter where you are, living or not. In Kagome's case, she wanted to either be not living or too far away from Kikyo to care. Kagome bowed so Kikyo wouldn't see the angry look on her face.
"I apologize. I should have hurried."
"As you should now, hurry and finish dressing me I want to look absolutely perfect."
Kagome found it hard to believe that Kikyo wanted to look perfect, since she already considered herself to be so. Kikyo was so full of it. Kagome stepped around to the vanity where Kikyo sat and picked up a hairbrush. Kikyo had the softest hair. The softest everything for that matter. Kikyo could walk into a room of twenty five hundred people and still silence everyone.
Kagome brushed her hair as two other maids came in and adjusted her sashes and bows. Kikyo clapped her hands and rose from her seat. With every pin, sash, and ribbon in its place it was time for Kikyo to go just as the Queen arrived.
“Hurry Kikyo hurry, we need to arrive on time!”
Kagome just couldn't understand. Today was the day everyone has been waiting for, and here she is stuck inside the castle. It wasn't fair. Kikyo was born royalty, and she abused the power she got from her mother and father. Kagome had lived her all her life and never seen Kikyo do anything except be cruel. Some people have all the luck. Now if she could just sneak away and…
“Kagome please don't just stand there, come along we don't have much time.”
And so it seemed she would be going along. Another long day, another reason for Kikyo to silently gloat. On any other day, Kagome would simply ignore Kikyo…as if she had any other choice. But today, just once she would like to be left alone.
Kagome kicked and shuffled her feet behind the princess and the Queen. She rolled her eyes at the lavishly decorated hallway. The floor rug probably cost more than her hut and everything in it. Kikyo flashed her a glare.
`What did I do…?' Kikyo looked down.
Oh her feet.
Oh well. She couldn't careless. Today she just wanted to crawl into her bed because….
The doors pulled open to reveal the entire kingdom cheering as Kikyo and the Queen waved. Kikyo didn't even bother to fake a smile. The Queen suddenly stopped.
“Today our Princess Kikyo shall fulfill the prophecy. Today she shall become a goddess.”
The kingdom went wild with applause.
`I can't stand all this noise. My head already hurts…'
If only they would shut up.
It was the least they could do for her birthday.
------------------------------------------------------------- ---
Inuyasha couldn't believe it. How is it he was unlucky enough to get picked for this job? Granted he had sort of caused a ruckus yesterday, but that didn't mean he had to do the family's dirty work.
For years it was always to be Sesshoumaru who was going to be the one to fulfill the prophecy. But yesterday their father had yelled at for something….
Something about disgracing the family and what not.
What did they know…?
He was coming at him so fast he only reacted.
How he to know he was the prince of Greeton…
…Or anyone of importance…
…He looked so plain anyone could mistake him for a commoner….
…Right…?
Oh well. Right now he had more important matters like the task set up for him. He was to aid the girl who was to become the next Goddess of Midoriko.
“Damnit this is too harsh a punishment!”
“Maybe you should think about who you throw around the next time someone tries to greet you.” Miroku entered coolly.
Miroku shook his head. He was sent after Inuyasha to make sure didn't get himself killed. Although Inuyasha was a skilled fighter, it was always good to have back up. Miroku had known Inuyasha since they were little and found him to be such an interesting subject.
Always getting into trouble…. and fights…. and climbing castle walls…. losing precious heirlooms…. losing his temper….
Huh.
Inuyasha stayed in trouble. Although the King would want Sesshoumaru to have the glory of this journey, the King of Greeton would have no one else but Inuyasha go.
Probably hoping he'll get killed.
The two of them neared the Kingdoms' gates.
“Aye who goes there?”
Miroku called up as Inuyasha still fumed over the injustice.
“It is Prince Inuyasha and I his caretaker Miroku.”
The gates rose upon his statement.
“ I wonder what shall await us Inuyasha? I hope it's beautiful women.”
