InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ In the Game of Life ❯ What's In a Name ( Chapter 4 )
Chapter 4: What's In a Name
Kagome looked him over once again. `Is his face betraying me? Smooth skin, silky- smooth silver hair, beautiful golden eyes. This has to be my Inuyasha, but... something in my heart tells me that it's not him. But it can't be, it's not true. I won't believe it!' "Don't be silly Inuyasha, and what's with those weird clothes?"
"?! Geez. What's with you? I don't even know your name and you act as if you know me. Plus you keep calling me that name." A growl rises in Inuyasha's throat. "I told you not to call me by that name! What is wrong with you? Don't you get it YOU STUPID GIRL!!" A flicker of red flashes in Inuyasha's eyes. "YOU-."
A hand rests on his shoulder and Sesshoumaru glares at him. "I think this lady has been through enough for today."
The two glance over at Kagome. They are surprised to see that she is not crying. Instead, the emptiness that had before buried itself was back once more. She did not even blink. She just stared into the vast emptiness of the white room.
Sesshoumaru looks at her with his usual expressionless face. "You may go back to your room if you like. You are aloud to go anywhere in this wing that you please." With that, he walks off.
The Inuyasha look- alike glares at her, but when Kagome refuses to look at his face his expression turns apologetic. He takes a step towards her, but she takes a step back. He stares at her for a few moments and when she refuses to even acknowledge his presence, his expression loosens and he says "Good Night," and takes his leave out the same door as Sesshoumaru.
Kagome falls to her knees and covers her face with her hands. Her strength is lost and she falls on her side and lets out all her emotions in that cold, dark room.

Ok, I was supposed to update last Friday, and I'm even getting tired of my apologies, but it seems like everything is trying to stop me from writing my story. I really won't be able to update like a normal person until July, but I will try to do my best until then ~_~.

His long silver hair flows down the outstretching corridor. "Damn that girl is annoying. Why did I help her anyway? She called me that name twice. Nobody knows that name except for Sesshoumaru and…." he stops walking and leans against the wall. There is a long moment of silence, and the wall becomes extremely interesting to watch.
"Pft." The connection between him and the wall disappears and he walks out of the building. His body warms at the feel of the sunlight caressing his skin and a smile spreads across onto his face. "It seems like it's been forever since I've been outside."
"He he. It's only been three days silly." Peeps a voice behind him.
He turns around to see a girl about fifteen years of age with long blonde hair and dark blue eyes. She is wearing a short black skirt, a pink top with the words "Spring Lake" written across the middle, a pink J-Lo- type hat, and pink-and-black sandals.
She runs up to him and hugs him. "How come you haven't come to see me?" She says looking up at him like five-year-old begging for a cookie.
"I thought I told you to quit it with all the hugging. And, anyway, I was training. You know that."
"How come uncle Sesshy wants you to train anyway? The demon age is over. He needs to stop living in the past."
"Sakura, you shouldn't say that. You know how Uncle Sesshoumaru is."
"Well, ya, but don't you think that five-hundred years is enough time to get over it?"
"No. It only gets worse as time goes on." He stares down at the ground.
Sakura realizes that her mouth once again got the better of her, and immediately changes the topic. "Do you have the time?"
He looks up at his watch. "It's twelve o' clock."
"Well, we should get going then."
"Go where, exactly?"
"To the mall, remember? You promised you'd take me yesterday."
"Well, I was busy. Anyway don't you think you have enough clothes?"
"No."
"Can't we go tomorrow?"
"That's what you always say." Sakura says in a whiney voice. "C'mon. Pleeeease."
"…"
"MITSUKO!?" Sakura whines again.
He rolls his eyes.
"WHY-"
Mitsuko places a hand over Sakura's mouth, and moves his index finger up to his. "Ssh." He looks over at a nearby bush.
Sakura removes his hand and whispers "Oh great. Is it more paparazzi?"
Mitsuko shakes his head and whispers back "Can't you feel the aura?" He starts to sneak over to the bush.
"Hey, you're the one with the demon senses remember?."
Mitsuko reaches into the bush and lifts up a surprised girl. "Oh, it's you."
"Let me go!" Kagome pushes his hand away and runs off into the building.
"Who was that?" Sakura asks surprised.
Mitsuko rolls his eyes. "No one. Let's go," he says, walking away.
Sakura stares at the building that Kagome ran into, looking worried. "Sesshoumaru won't be happy. Mitsuko, shouldn't you-" Sakura turns around and notices that he's gone. "Mitsuko! Wait up!" She says running after him.

Ok. Well, I wrote more than usual. This wraps up this chapter. I know I still haven't answered your questions, but that's all the more reason to look forward to the next chapter ^_^. The next chapter will be called "The Hidden Room". I'm sure you guys will like it because it will answer almost all of your questions, and there won't be all these "pointless" chapters. Well, on to the reviews:
dancin_cutie: I'm glad you like my story. I'm trying to update more, but I won't have real time to update the way I and my readers want me to until summer. And, I even have some homework to do then too. IT NEVER ENDS!!!!!!!!! Your question will be answered soon .
fireash: It's always great to hear from you ^_^. I think idonthaveanickname stopped reading my fic now ~_~. I think that's pretty harsh, but anyway. I thought Mitsuo was the best name. I looked it up and found the name Mitsuko instead, so I changed it (I think it means something like "star child"). I hope you don't mind Thanx for the help. I hope you like my ideas for the next chappy. I'll update as soon as I can.
Sorry if I confused people with continuing to update this chapter. It wouldn't appear, so I finally just deleted the old one and put this in its place. Anyway, till next time.
