In the Mirror: Chapter nine. Found

`'Shippo! Shippo where are you?!'' I yelled as we arrived back at the village. Kagome was safely tucked away in Miroku's arm. The only reason I know that she was safe was because if he even tried to touch her Kirara would bite his hand off. And then he'd have to deal with an extremely protective Inu-hanyou. And I highly doubt he wanted to do that. Miroku, along with Kagome and Kirara were circling the ski above the village looking for any sign of the kit. I walked through the village look though the smaller areas like under the burnt huts. The fire was out by the time we came back witch, struck me as odd. A blaze like that wouldn't have gone out by its self.

 

It had to have had some help.

 

`'Shippo! Please, answer us!'' Miroku yelled above me. He was concerned about the little guy, and some how I couldn't help but think that he would make a good father.

 

If he ever stops groping women that is.

 

`'Shipp-!'' I stopped, because I found him. But who I found him with was the big shocker.

 

He was hugging onto Kikyo's waste as they glided towards the ground on her soul stealers. I tightened my hold the Hiraikotsu, ready to spit her in half if I had to. But surprisingly I didn't have to. As soon as they landed on the ground he let go of her waste and came running towards me.

 

`'Sango! How is everyone? Is the youkai gone?'' He asked. I didn't look down at him. I couldn't. I just kept staring at Kikyo. What the hell was going on here? I was about to get my answer when Inuyasha jumped out of the trees behind us.

 

`'Sango did you find-Kikyo? What the hell are you doing here?''

 

Well that's not the greeting I expected him to give her. I thought he was going to go all spacey on us and run into her arms. She didn't look offended at all, just the some old emotionless Kikyo that we all know and hate.

 

`'Was he destroyed?'' She asked Inuyasha. I was guessing she was talking about Shizuka. Then she did send him after us. Bitch.

 

`'So you did send him after us? What the fuck were you thinking?'' He yelled at her. I couldn't believe it. He actually yelled at her. That's it; the world's coming to an end.

 

`'I did no such thing. Have you yet to learn of Naraku's tricks? I heard word that he was sending someone after the hanyou Inuyasha, and that he planed to take two of his most cherished possessions. Obviously one of them was Kagome, and I couldn't do anything about the spell he had cast, but I took the kitsune before Naraku's servant could get his hands on him.'' She walked over to where Kirara had landed next to me and looked at Kagome.

 

Inuyasha moved next to her, watching her closely. I don't blame him, even if she did keep Shippo safe for us I still didn't trust her. Not after everything she's done to Kagome. I still couldn't get over the shock that she actually helped us. I thought that she hated Kagome.

 

Well Inuyasha wasn't the only one around here with a big mouth.

 

`'Why did you help us? You've tried to kill Kagome before. And lets face it your not all that found of the rest of us so why start helping now?'' I could see Miroku shaking his head out of the corner of my eyes. What? Was I supposed to stand by and let my best friends arch nemesis come in and start playing the part of the hero?

 

I bet Kagome would love that when she woke up.

 

Kikyo turned around to look me right in the eyes. Her face might have been emotionless but there were emotions in her eyes then I could recognize.

 

`'I'm sorry but that is my own business.'' She turned back around and put her hand on Kagome's forehead. Miroku looked tense. Kagome was still in his arms and I could tell that he was nervous about having Kikyo so close to her when all she's ever tried to do was kill her.

 

And I have to say, Inuyasha didn't look trilled either.

 

`'What are you doing?'' I asked stepping next to her. She withdrew her hand for a second to answer me.

 

`'I'm wakening her up. The spell might have been broken, but it was a strong one, and the way things are going with her she might not wake up for another week or so.'' A week? Okay, that's too long a wait.

 

She put her hand back on her forehead and a small blue light appeared around Kikyo's hand and Kagome's forehead. A minute latter it disappeared.

 

`'She should wake up in a moment'' Kikyo said.

 

Kagome's eyelids fluttered.

 

Oh I can't wait to see this show.
