In the Mirror: Chapter sixteen. Waiting

A month and a half he'd been sitting in his masters dungeon slowly healing him self from his wounds. Even after all this time some of them were still visible on his skin. He'd never felt pain before in his life the way he did that night when he returned to his master after fighting the hanyou. His master was furious with him and had two of his guards drag him down to the dungeon to await his punishment.

 

His master came in that night looking wild with anger and vengeance.

 

He had that wind youkai of his strip him of his clothes and chained him facing the wall as his master started to punish him. He whipped him, he punched him, he burdened him, he tortured him in ways that most didn't think were possible. Then he punished him some more. It didn't stop until the next morning. His mind screamed in agony for his master to stop, but his body made no protests. He couldn't make it if he wanted to. He had no control over him self, and he saw the pleaser in his masters eyes as he watched him wither in pain. The only thing that kept him sane through the ordeal was thoughts of his lovely Keiko.

 

His beautiful neko youkai.

 

She probably hated him by now. First he hits her, witch he promised her he would never do, then he disappears for two years. There was no way she would wait for him this long after what he did to her.

 

He never been one to turn to his parents for help, he always tried to handle things on his own, but right now he wished his father would find him, that he would take him away from all this pain and bring him back to his woman. He wanted to be back at the palace listening to his father tell there lord the best way to attack their enemy.

 

But he wasn't. He was stuck in this hell hole waiting to be released. Or to be killed, which ever came first. If he was to live out the rest of his life like this he would rather be killed. But that wouldn't happen; his master would keep him alive as long as he was useful to him. He would keep sending him after that hanyou, Inuyasha, lord Sesshomaru's younger and half brother, until he killed him, which he didn't want to, or until HE was killed by Inuyasha him self.

 

That thought don't trouble be as must as it should. He thought.

 

Almost every youkai in Japan knew of Inuyasha and his sward the tetsusaiga. They knew that was stronger then most full youkai and probably the most powerful hanyou to walk the earth. So even if he was a hanyou it would be and honor to die by his hands.

 

And if I keep going after his miko like last time I might just get my wish.

 

The door to his sell opened and someone walked in. He had to shield his eye from the light that he had not been in for over a month. He couldn't see the person's face, but he knew it was the wind youkai. She had a nice scent, it was nothing compared to Keiko's scent, but it was still nice to smell something other then his master's awful smell.

 

`'Hello Shizuka, I have your dinner.'' She said kneeling in front of him with a tray of bread and water.

 

Some dinner. He thought to him self, not knowing that was along the same thought's Kagura was thinking.

 

If Naraku doesn't start feeding him right he's never going to get his strength back up. Not that I care that much, but he could be my ticket out of here. Inuyasha's failed me more times then I can count and Sesshomaru couldn't give a rat's ass about me. He's my last hope. I have to take care of him. Not that I want to, but if he can get strong enough to kill Naraku then I'll be free. I have to help him anyway I can.

 

Not that she'd admit it out loud but Shizuka was starting to mean more to her then she would like. But she didn't get to broad on the thought, because Naraku came in right behind her.

 

`'Kagura, leave us, I have business to discuss with our friend.'' He said. She hesitated for a minute before leaving the room with out bowing to him. She was as disobedient to him as she could be with out risking her life.

 

I'll have to take care of her later. He thought to him self.

 

`'Now Shizuka, pay attention, I'm going to give you another chance to redeem your self. Now listen carefully to my plain. And this time if you disobey me, your punishment will be ten times worse then last time, understand?'' He nodded and Naraku started talking. Even though he was listening to him his mind was thinking of a way to get out from under his control.

 

I will wait as long as it takes to be free of you Naraku, and I WILL be freed, even if I have to be freed in death.
