"Hantu, we the body of elders welcome you and your Biwi (mate) back home. We have much to discuss with you." The Village head said to them as the all sat to start the meeting of the villages.
"Our guardian has been healed I have heard." Asked one elder. If they had the ears Inuyasha had they would have chuckled at the sounds of the girls giggling. He inwardly smiled glad that the two were happy and back to their own frivolous selves
"Yes, she was and she is ok now." Kagome said as all the men gave a sigh of releif
"Both girls were possessed by the mighty priestess of old, but they are both now put at rest." Inuyasha said.
"It is a shame on how they both died, Kikyou and Tsbaki. They were so close and loved each other. To die because of jealousy made all the goodness they did in vain."
Kagome stiffened confused. "They were best friends, but I think that Kikyou started to develop feelings towards me,Not romantic feelings." He started when her eyebrows went up. "Anyway when that happened Tsubaki grew jealous. She was obsessed with Kikyou, her heart grew cold. Though her powers didn't lessen, in fact her jealousy increased her powers." Inuyasha informed her.
"Oh," She muttered taking that information in. The room hushed when the Village leaded stood up.
"Hantu, we must discuss the matter of your brother, Toya will you allow him entrance?" The old man asked
Inuyasha growled, but Kagome placed her hand on his. "It's ok Mahal, It's just for show." He thought to her. She nodded and looked at the counsel.
"I allow him to enter the tent of meeting." He voiced waiting expectantly.
Within moments Toya being followed by Charlie came in. Charlie immediately sat on the side next to Kagome. Slowly approached Inuyasha with his head bowed. Once in a close enough distance, he kneeled before his brother exposing his neck to his brother.
"I am here to see that justice will be done." Toya humbly started.
"Toya, how do you think Justice should be done?" Inuyasha asked gruffly.
"By taking my life. I have betrayed the lands. I have tried to kill your mate, and I have attacked the guardian. I deserve to die. I only have one request." Toya continued.
"What is that?" The village leader asked.
"That you take care of Charlie, and that she doesn't see my demise." He pleaded.
"That sounds like two requests not one. And since you asked for two and not one neither request will be honored" Inuyasha growled. Toya stiffened
Inuyasha stood up and slowly deliberately circled Toya. Toya stayed on the ground patiently waiting for punishment.
"It is true, you did bring danger to my mate, but you were infected." Inuyasha said
"Yes but I betrayed you before I was infected." Toya said.
"Silence, I am talking here bastard, you pissed me off by taking Kagome and by hurting her. Just that alone makes me want to kill you. But the truth is I wont. Do you honestly expect me to believe you did all this shit for your own selfishness. We are brothers, not blood brothers we are brothers by duty. I know why you did that. It was all for Charlie. When Kanna Attacked you and left you defenseless, she helped Charlie. So get the hell up and go home. I don't feel like smelling you right now." Inuyasha huffed and sat back down.
Kagome smiled at him and patted his knee. Toya looked stunned and got up. He bowed to the elders and walked out without out any hesitation. Charlie hugged both Inuyasha and Kagome and followed her mate out the tent.
"Moving one to other pressing matters the." Village leader started.
Time goes by along with the seasons, and the Law of the Lands were restored. The forest would have been quiet with the exception of two little girls giggling chasing one another. Then again the sounds of laughter is what makes happiness grow though the lands. So as long as the Guardians of the day and night are happy, the Forest will be happy. Little girls are little girls. Needless to say the Great Lord of the Forest has his hands full.
As for Inuyasha, the lone warrior the village calls Hantu finally finds himself no longer alone. And his mate Kagome found her home, in the wild.
