The creature in the sky watched as the older girl fell down the hole. 'Why did Naraku want such a week human? Surely she couldn't be that much of a threat to him?' Thought the creature while flying down to the spot she had disappeared from. When he landed by the hole, he then noticed that he wasn't going to be able to fit his bigger body in it. Putting his clawed hands around the dirt, he started to dig, making the whole bigger so he could fit.
Kagome awoke when she felt something hit her face. She felt a throbbing pain shoot up her neck when she tried to move. Carefully, moving so she didn't make the pain worse, she tried to think of what happed. As hard as she tried, she could not remember anything.
Rin, who had been a wake for a while, crawled over to the older girl. She had been listening to the creature while he was making the hole bigger. She had tried to wake the Kagome up, but she just didn't respond to anything she did!
Finally giving up, she crawled over to a corner and put her arms over her knees and rested her head on them, not knowing what
else to do. She thought she would just wait till her Sesshoumaru-sama would come and save her.
Kagome seeing the little movement of the little girl coming towards her, met her half-way. Seeing that Rin had been crying she took her hand and brushed aside the tears. She scooped up the girl and held her. It was not too much later
that she realised that the something that hit her face was dirt coming from above her. Looking up she saw clawed hands moving, trying to make the hole bigger for his larger body.
Kagome knew, for some reason, that that thing was after her and the little girl. Standing up with the little girl in her arms she searched for a place to hide or away out. Finding a small opening in one of the walls, she moved towards it.The closer she got to her desired location, she noticed that a large boulder blocked her path.
Putting the child down she walked over to the rock and tried to push it out of her way. Not working. She stopped for a while and looked around for something to help her. She found a stick in a far off corner...must have fallen in with her. She walked over to it and picked it up. She jammed it under the rock, using all her might
to push down on it. It seemed to move a little more. Calling Rin over, she told the child to push down with her. With both of their strength, they seemed to move it a little further.
In the background, they could hear that the creature was getting closer to fitting in the hole. Moving fast she picked up the child and tried to squeeze into the tiny space. She couldn't fit while holding Rin, however and so she put her down and pushed her through the opening. She had just got the child through when the creature fell through the hole at the top.
Seeing what kagome was doing knowing that she was about to escape, it launched itself at her. Kagome felt the clawed hand grab her and tried to pull her back. It seemed that Kagome got stuck in the passage. Rin grabbing the older girls hand pulled with all her might.
Kagome felt the claws dig into her flesh and screamed. Out of rage she kicked the creature in the face as hard as she could. The creature was blind for a second buying time for her to get her foot free and on the other side of the passage. Thinking fast, she looked for something to block the passage way so the creature couldn't get through. She could only see small rocks at the side of the cave, unfortunately. Running over to them, she grabbed what her arms would allow her to carry. When she was about to grab the last one she herd a rumbling sound. Kagome knew it was a cave-in. Backing away from it she grabbed the little girl and took off heading away from the sound.
The creature had finally gotten his sight back and was making his way through the passage, when the rocks from above hit him. A scream could be heard over the falling rocks. Kagome wasn't sure if the cave-in had killed him or not but she didn't want to stop and see. At the end of the passage was a brightlight. Running toward the light her feet fell into a small pond water, reaching to her knees. It made it hard for her to move fast bu tshe was doing a good job. Sloshing sounds echoed off the wall of the cave as she made her way to her freedom.
Kagome was at the end of the cave when the water got deeper and she couldn't see where she was walking. About two feet from the light she tripped over a rock. It sent her flying out of the end of the cave but the opening was a cliff. A huge waterfall cascaded from the cave and she fell right along with the water.
Kagome felt Rin's grip become lose and she flew out of her hands. Trying to adjust the way she was she moved toward the water was flowing, making her go faster. She was falling, getting closer to Rin. Rin reached her hand up and Kagome was able to grab on to her. They conutined to fall, Kagome could only watch in horror as she saw there was nothing but rocks at the end of the waterfall. Knowing the end would be soon she screamed while also covering the little girls eyes. She closed her own eyes and waited for the end.
A scream could be heard for miles, Sesshoumaru wondered if it was Rin's. Rushing to where he heard the scream he saw two girls falling and one of them was holding his Rin. With out a thought, he jumped and caught the girls making him
get all wet. He slipped when he landed and sent them flying.
Kagome felt herself being pulled out of the rushing water and into a warm embrace. The rest happened all too fast. She remembered landing with her in the guy's arm and him slipping and her flying with him. The way they landed wasn't the best. She was on top of him and Rin was on top of her. Opening her eyes she just wanted to faint at what she saw when she opened them.
