Chapter 3: Sweet Memories

 

(~Alright, people, after a whole day of sleeping in and getting settled, we're all headed for the lake for a nice swim and who knows what else…All of us will be modeling our new swimsuits and let's just say that the boys will be focusing on nothing else for the rest of the day, heh heh! ~

I walked down the stairs to see Inuyasha and Miroku in the living room, relaxing on the couch, obviously watching something on the T.V.

~You boys ready to hit the lake? I'm sure you're dying to see what your future wives look like in a hot swimsuit! ~

“Not yet, Ayame! We have to change first, so don't rush things!” Kagome yelled from upstairs, sounding like she was being rushed.

“Yeah, and Miroku, if you even dare to come up to see, I will gladly rip your eyeballs out and a certain part of your male anatomy and I wouldn't lose a wink of sleep over it!” Sango vigorously threatened.

Miroku was heading towards the stairs but quickly ran back to the couch when he heard Sango. When it came to the threatening of losing your body parts to your scary fiancé, he gladly retreated and anxiously waited.

~ Looks like she got you there, Miroku. Apparently, Inuyasha knows when to give Kagome some room but you can't seem to figure it out. ~

“Ah, stuff it Ayame!” Miroku said, irritated that he couldn't see Sango.

I chuckled before saying, ~Believe me, are going to see more of her within the next few minutes, you'll be glad that you didn't lose your balls! ~

Inuyasha obviously was enjoying our little confrontation and was shaking with laughter, arms crossed and laid back, hearing a few laughs from him.

~ But wait until you guys see these lovely models stroll out, I'm sure that what they have to offer you than just mere looks. ~, I said seductively, catching both guys' attention.

“Are they really that eye popping? We saw them at mall, hell we even helped pick them out!” Inuyasha stated, confused as ever.

“I remember that too. Why would it be different this time?” Miroku added.

~ Because you didn't see them in it. They wanted to wait until they could show it off for you boys. ~

Both of them grew a smile saying, “Show me what you got” and looked over towards the stairs, hearing two doors open. I headed up them until I saw them, each wrapped in a respective towel that coordinated with their suits underneath.

~ You know that once you drop your towels, your men are going to be so all over you? ~

“That's the idea Ayame, today is a day for nothing but….fond memories.” Kagome dreamily stated.

~Well, what are we waiting for? Get down there and strut your stuff, ladies! ~

“Yeah!” Both yelled. I ran down the stairs as fast as I could and I turned around so I would be facing the stairs. ~ Okay, Sango you first! ~ “Why does it have to be me first” She complained.

~Because by the looks of it, Miroku can't wait any longer. Kagome, you're going to be a few feet behind her, okay? ~

“Sure thing! Come on, Sango, move your ass out!” Kagome verbally pushed her. Sango was coming down the stairs, with a pissed off look, holding her towel up by hand. Kagome was a few steps after her, pushing Sango forward. She was grumbling under her breath and came to a stop at the entrance to the living room, Kagome stopping along side her.

~ Okay Sango, go ahead, show him what you got and don't be so shy in showing off! ~

Miroku was practically drooling by this point even she is still covered. Inuyasha was slowly becoming mesmerized as well.

Sango sighed and drew up a happy smile as she uncovered herself, dropping the towel, while striking a classic pose; turning a little to the side with both hands on her hips while bending her left leg.

“Well, my drooling pervert, what do you think?” She asked seductively, not showing the least bit of anger or any signs of covering herself up.

What Sango was wearing, let's just say by that point, Miroku had his jaw all the way on the ground, drooling even more so than before:

It was a One Piece Suit decorated with Swarovski Rhinestones. To say the least, Sango had admit to her self that she really outdid herself this time and seeing Miroku now, she knew that he wasn't going any where now.

~ You are looking H-O-T, girl! I knew you made the right choice and it seems Miroku isn't complaining, either! And now, Kagome, why don't you show off that sexy suit of yours, too? Judging by the look Miroku gave Sango, Inuyasha just might do the same exact thing! ~

Kagome dropped her towel too and also did the pose beside Sango but lifted her right leg. “It seems that my Big Dog has also been rendered speechless.” She said with just as a seductive smile as Sango. Inuyasha was indeed entranced, eyes nearly bulging out of their sockets while also starting to drool:

She was wearing a stunning Two Piece Suit decorated withCrystal and Blue Rhinestones. Oh yeah, She knew that she did her work well.

~ You did it girls! Neither can move and are currently gazing at how much skin is exposed. ~

“You got that right, Ayame!” “Oh we got them bad!” Sango and Kagome simultaneously answered.

It took a while for the boys to come out of it, seeing that it took several light slaps on the face from both girls. When they became normal, they suddenly remembered that they were also wearing their swimming trunks.

~ Okay, boys why don't you take off those shirts and then all of you will be in swim gear. Then I have this really cool idea! ~

As soon as those shirts were off, it was the girls who were now staring and couldn't stop staring at their respective man's body and were looking up and down, completely fixed on what they were viewing.

Both men were lean and muscular. There was no doubt that both worked out, seeing their sculpted arms and nice sculpted legs. While Miroku had a six pack, where Sango was currently staring and thinking not too clean thoughts at the moment, Inuyasha had a well defined eight pack and a chest so sexy looking, it would make any girl drool and Kagome was doing just that, even though that she's seen it before, she still did it every time.

“Now look who's rendering who speechless!” Inuyasha joked while Miroku was doing various poses for Sango.

~ Alright, you four, if you guys drool anymore, we're going to flood! Okay, here's what I was thinking: stand with your own partner,make up a few sexy poses but not too sexy, we don't want our parents thinking what we might have been doing, Miroku! ~

“Oh, what's the fun in that?” He asked as answered with a whack to the back of his head. “Don't ruin it, pervert. Be lucky that you have such a fantastic body or you would be dead on the floor!” Sango told him. “And that means no butt groping!” She warned before he could make a move.

They all struck their first pose: Miroku and Sango were close together, Sango wrapping her right arm around his neck with the other on her hip while he held up her left leg by the thigh, which was dangerously close to her ass. Kagome and Inuyasha on the other hand were a little more daring but still kept it clean enough. She had her arms around his neck from behind while he had one arm hugged at her waist and the other across her chest.

~ Oh, brave ones you are! Let's go for another one, A little more this time, Sango and Miroku! ~ She was really smiling now, enjoying what she was filming.

Miroku was more than willing to try something daring but Sango was a little hard to persuade. Inuyasha and Kagome on the other hand had no problem with it whatsoever, as

They got down on the floor, Inuyasha sat Indian style, while Kagome lay on his lap but he supported her head with one hand while touching her waist with the other, staring at each other with love and passion. Miroku finally gotten Sango to do the pose he wanted, minus the groping. They too got on the floor, Sango completely on her back, staring upside down at the camera, while Miroku kneeled above her, on his hands and knees, also staring ahead.

~ Excellent! It's better than what I thought! Although I think Sango was a little defiant with the last one. ~ She laughed.

“Hell yeah! Being under Miroku was a little too much for me!” Sango clearly stated as she pushed him off her and quickly stood up. “It seems like the two lovebirds over were enjoying it.” Sango said as Kagome and Inuyasha also stood up.

“You bet we were! Remember before last year I wouldn't even wear a tank or tube top?”

~ Oh yeah, I remember all too well! We all know what or who triggered the change! ~

“You preferred to wear nothing revealing so you wouldn't attract attention and the only thing that you did wear was a one piece swimsuit. Now look at you, a very sexy two piece that shows off more skin than I'm used to seeing. What happened to that innocent and pure school girl we all knew?” Sango playfully asked, trying to keep Miroku off her.

“That school girl didn't have a boyfriend and whose father would kill her if he saw her wearing those kinds of clothes but now she's gone because I do have a gorgeous fiancé to look good for now.” She leaned against Inuyasha and rubbed his face, slightly teasing him.

“That's true. You have been more outgoing and looking prettier than ever.” Miroku smirked and got whacked by two people.

“Hey, keep your eyes on your own fiancé or I will tear your eyes out from their sockets!” Inuyasha threatened, making it quite clear as he flexed his hand, while protectively held on to Kagome by the waist with his other hand.

“Save that task for me, Inuyasha. If he stares at any other girl but me, there's something else that's going to be ripped out!” Sango growled as she pulled his ear, hard! Miroku wasn't saying anything but you could hear whimpers and hissing sounds.

~ Okay you guys before we shed blood and body parts! Why don't we head down to the lake? I'm sure we could all use a nice cool soak. ~

 

Everyone agreed and so Sango started to drag Miroku still by the ear while Kagome retrieved the towels and small bag containing sun block and drinks. Inuyasha came up behind her and immediately scooped her up bridal style. Kagome just gasped at the sudden gesture but laughed it off as the rest of us headed out and walked to the lake.

It wasn't a long walk and Sango still held Miroku by the ear but then let go and what looked like a warning and Miroku gave a nervous expression. The lake was beautiful to say the least. It was crystal clear, sparkling in all its wonders. There wasn't a single pollutant, which made it a popular swimming lake, although we were the only ones there at this time. It was so clear that the nearby hills and far off mountains were shining in the reflection and you could see the clouds drift above in the sky.

 

~ Ah the fresh, clean lake, where we'll immerse ourselves and let the stresses and troubles of life just flow away. And seeing Sango and Kagome setting up what looks like to be a grand time of sunbathing, the boys seem to have other plans… ~ I walked down to the girls were and they warned the boys not to try anything sneaky. `This is going to be good. Something tells me the fun is just beginning.'

“I'm warning you, Inuyasha. If you EVEN try to pull anything, don't expect anything from me for the next few days and I mean it!” Kagome stated as she raised her head, took her sunglasses while she was speaking and put them back on and laid back on the towel and relaxed.

“Same for you, Miroku.” Sango glanced at him as she applied sun block on her arms. She had her sun glasses on her head. There was a breeze and her dark brown hair that was down swayed with it. She saw the disappointment in his face but shrugged it off as she started a conversation with Kagome and me.

Sighing, she started, “You know all that has happened since last year, I keep thinking that this has happened for the better. Sun Block, Kagome?” Kagome sat up and received the bottle, her hair, which was also down swayed a little.

“Thanks. Yeah, I think we're pretty lucky. Having our first dates, finding a boyfriend and them proposing at the school year's end, I say we have a bright future in store for us.” She replied as she began to spread it all over her neck, chest, and arms.

~ It just amazes me at how you two changed and suddenly grew up. Not that you weren't before, but being with one you care about, you tend to reveal a more emotional, caring side. ~

Both girls nodded, each in their own thoughts. “You're right, Ayame. I wasn't one for freely expressing at how I felt until I became comfortable with Miroku and it wasn't until our first date…our double date.” She turned to Kagome as she said the last part with a content smile. Kagome gave her own smile as moved down to apply her legs.

“I remember that. It was a pleasurable night. When I first saw Inuyasha for the first time again, I couldn't even breathe, but after we had our first conversation, I opened up more and more than anyone else. I just felt at ease when I'm at his side, you know?”

~ Yeah, I and Sango knew that once you were together again, all your emotions would just spill out and if it wasn't for Inuyasha coming back, Miroku probably wouldn't have asked you out Sango. ~

Sango laughed at that, knowing that it was true, nodding in response. By this time, Kagome was finished with the sun block and laid back down on the towel, hoping to get a tan and Sango put her sun glasses on and settled on her own towel. Inuyasha and Miroku, however, were no where to be seen. )

 

 

Ayame decided to save the camera for more excitement and laid beside her girlfriends to work on her tan. It felt like couple of hours and all was peaceful, all three were snoozing and getting the perfect tan, but they never knew that their peaceful relaxation was about to be disrupted.

First, Sango was starting to wake up but suddenly found the sun gone. She thought it were clouds moving over and returned to her calm posture. When she didn't feel the sun for a few minutes, she reluctantly sat up and pulled off the sunglasses and was blinded temporarily by the light. She turned around and saw none other than Miroku, who had a big bucket and seeing water dripping from it and assumed it to be filled with water. She gulped down hard with a shocked look on her face and quickly stood up and backed away slowly, with Miroku inching closer to her.

Kagome was pulled from her trance as she felt Sango get up and felt another presence loom beside her. She sat up, opened her eyes and saw Sango retreating from Miroku in a panicked state, with a pail of water. She stretched and yawned, knowing that Sango would pound him if he tried to get her wet. Then she felt another presence upon her, and something told her that she was in trouble.

`If that's who I think it is, He doesn't know what's coming to him.' She though, aggravated. As soon as she stood up and turned around, she was picked up and thrown over someone's shoulder. Seeing that the shoulder was muscular and silver hair made it perfectly obvious. “Put me down, Inuyasha! If you're doing what I think you're doing…” She looked over and they were headed straight for the water's edge. `Oh, shit!' She panicked and started pounding with both her hands and feet. “AYAME!!”

 

Ayame suddenly woke up to find both girls gone. Sango was being backed into the lake by Miroku while Kagome was on Inuyasha's shoulder, complaining and pleading for help. `Damn these two are in trouble…Looks like the perfect entertainment!' She picked up her camcorder and began filming once again.

Sango looked up to see Ayame sitting there and filming once again. `She's no help once again.' She focused back at Miroku, who looked like he was about to dump the bucket on her. She looked frantically around and saw that Kagome too was in trouble, seeing her and Inuyasha, who had her on his shoulder, heading towards them and the lake.

“Look like Ayame isn't coming to save us, Kagome! She's seems to be enjoying this!” She shouted.

“Yeah, I kind of figured out that much.” Kagome responded, stating the obvious.

Sango reached the water's edge when she felt the cool sensation of the water at her feet. She pointed a finger and clearly stated,

“Miroku, if you so much as splash a single drop of water on me, I'll make your life so miserable, I swear!” She was sounding more desperate than threatening. Miroku wiggled his eyebrows.

“Is that a threat, Sango?” He was giving her one of his smiles and she knew that she couldn't make any verbal threats, let alone carry them out. She started to breath heavily, trying to figure out how to escape this trap.

“You big brute, put me down or I will-““or you'll what? What can you do when you're helpless like this?” Inuyasha finished for her with a hint of playfulness. He had a closed smile and had an evil glint in his eyes. Now her breathing became irregular now. She suddenly heard splashing and knew that he was in the lake, waist deep. She looked over and instantly knew what he was planning.

“Don't you dare! Don't even think about it!” She proclaimed. She wasn't on planning to get wet today. Today she just wanted to sunbathe, but NO! Her fiancé had other ideas of fun.

“Aw, baby, why don't you just let the cool water soothe your nerves?” He baited.

“The only reason I'm on edge now is because you carried me out here despite my protests! Why don't you ever listen?!”

He waded a little further before taking a quick dive straight down, letting Kagome swim out of his reach and stayed below the surface until the right time to strike!

Sango made the mistake of seeing her friend in distress and was suddenly splashed with cold water, making her fall backwards and right into the lake. Miroku dumped the pail and ran further into the lake, trying to get far away from her as possible. He caught up to Inuyasha and stood beside him.

“That was some idea of yours, man! You know that they're going to be pissed as hell when they reach the surface.” Miroku said.

“Yeah I know, but it was so worth it to see their faces! I saw Sango and she looked scared to death. You had her cornered.” Inuyasha said, and then laughed. Miroku joined him. He put a hand on his buddy to keep himself from falling.

“That's the first time I've ever seen her scared and it felt good knowing that she couldn't do anything about it.”

“Oh, is that a fact?” Came a harsh voice from behind him. Shivers immediately ran down both their spines.

“Can't do anything about it, huh?”

“Because we warned you and you seem to fail at listening.” Came the other voice. Inuyasha suddenly felt Kagome's presence behind him and stood absolutely still. Miroku couldn't move either.

All of a sudden, both girls latched on to their backs and curled around them. Kagome was trying to pull him down; Sango was screaming her head off and whacking him on the head. Finally with much effort, Kagome managed to pull Inuyasha down and Miroku couldn't take any more beatings and fell face first in the water.

 

Kagome and Sango came back to the surface and gasped for air.

“That was fun!” Kagome said.

“Yep, it felt good to get the boys back for once!” Sango replied. They looked around trying to find their fiancés but saw nothing.

“Uh, Sango?” Kagome asked with a worried expression. “I don't see them anywhere.” “They should have come up by now. You don't think they drowned, do you?” Sango said with a panicked voice. Kagome shook her head,

“I don't think so. It takes more than that to bring Inuyasha down. If I know him he's probably underwater right now and waiting to sneak up on me. Sango, I think they're trying to get back at us again.” Kagome told her, with a hint of fear in her voice. Sango gulped and started to look at every inch of the lake, hoping to see a ripple, bubble, anything. She saw nothing. She saw Ayame snickering from her point of view at the slope of the hill.

“Kagome, why is Ayame laughing?” Kagome looked up to see Ayame, indeed trying to hold back her laughter.

“I don't know Sango but something tells me that she knows what's going on. As usual we can't rely on her to tell us anything.” Both the girls let out a simultaneous sigh and stated to wade out of the lake.

 

Kagome felt a tingling sensation behind her and turned to see that there was nothing behind her. She continued, constantly looking back. Just when she thought that it was her imagination running wild, as she was waist deep in the water, she felt something grab both her legs. She screamed, think something had got her, but when she was lifted from the water, she was on Inuyasha shoulders. He had grab of both her legs and now was holding on to her tightly. She gasped and gave him a whack on the head.

“You idiot! Why do always have to sneak up on me?!” She exclaimed, laughing as she was riding his shoulders.

“Because it's fun to sneak up on you!” He shouted back as they were heading to the shoreline. She bent forward to where she could see his face.

“Well you're doing a great job of it so far; giving me a heart attack every time!!” He kissed her on the nose, seeing that she was facing him upside down.

“I still love you, though.” He said softly. She smiled and returned the kiss to his nose. She sat back up and continued to laugh while she rode upon his shoulders, both having a great time.

 

Meanwhile, Sango was nearing the shore, when she felt two hands on her waist. She stiffened at the touch, and then she was lifted into the air and was thrown a little ways from the shore. She screamed at the sudden lift and hit the cool water yet again by Miroku. When she surfaced, Miroku was in front of her, with his arms crossed. She growled, flexing her hands, ready for a comeback.

“You hentai, you just had to get me wet yet again! I'm going to it you so hard that you-“, She was stopped when she was pulled closer against him, surprised at the gentle gesture. She lost her train of thought as felt his lips on hers.

“You know it's all good and fun Sango. Torturing you I can't help but not help do.” He told her, obviously toying with her. She gave a small smirk and gave a quick kiss on his cheek.

“I know you can't. And I know that you'll keep on doing it until the day we die.” She joked. Miroku then proceeded to lift her and carry her bridal style back to the shore.

 

 

The day at the lake did everyone some good and everyday seemed more fun than the next. The week went by so quickly that they couldn't believe how much time had passed. Finally, the last night and everyone was settling in the living room having an appetizing dinner by the girls. Inuyasha and Miroku weren't much of cooks and wouldn't mind having delicious meals such as this prepared by their future wives. Ayame kept on recording and was pretty pleased with how this mini vacation turned out. She was pretty tired so she retired to bed early. Everyone had to got to bed early because they would be up again at 5:00 the next morning to get back home around 4:00 or 5:00 that afternoon. Kagome and Sango cleaned the dishes and straightened out the kitchen and Inuyasha and Miroku helped with the cleaning of the living room. They all separated to their rooms and started to pack up.

 

Miroku and Sango were getting things together and preparing for the trip back home. Sango stopped to look out the window to see the last of the sun and its rays disappear below the mountains. Miroku looked up to see what the matter was and saw his girl staring out the window.

“It's beautiful, the sunsets here. I see the sunset back home but being out here, it's different. It's one of the things here that I won't forget.” She answered his unasked question and continued to pack. Miroku smirked.

“The sunrises are amazing too. You're right, baby. Things are different here than back at our little town.” Sango, who was smiling, quickly looked depressed and slowed her actions.

“It'll be different when you head off to Osaka with Inuyasha and leave me and Kagome here. I know you have responsibilities and you want this, but I'm not sure how I'm going to cope with it.” She said, sitting on the edge of the bed. Miroku stopped and sat next to her, putting his hands on top of hers.

“You're one of the strongest women I've ever known, Sango. You'll make it through. We may be away for 4 or 5 months but we'll still keep in contact. Just keep looking forward to the day of the wedding.” He told her, trying to ease her a bit. She looked up from her lap and smiled.

“Yes, we do. I can't wait for it.”

 

Across the hall, in the master bedroom, similar things were happening. With everything nearly packed, both decided to take one final soak. Kagome went straight for the hot tub while Inuyasha reluctantly took the big shower.

“You know this week went by so fast it seemed like only yesterday we just got here.” Kagome said, while she completely relaxed and sunk further into the tub, with her hair up in a bun.

“Yeah, it sure feels like it. But we needed it.” Inuyasha responded in the shower. The shower was beside the hot tub so she could only see the sliding door when she lifted her head up.

“Mmmhmm.” She answered. The bathroom was so filled up with steam and it was quickly getting hot. She heard the shower being turned off and saw, from the corner of her eye, saw him step out and grab a towel and wrapped it across his waist. She gave a small laugh and just stared as he made his way to the sink. When he felt her eyes upon him, he turned around to see her resting one arm on the tub's edge and one holding her head in place, supported by her elbow, her chin resting on her hand, having a dreamy look.

“What?” He suddenly asked, sounding pretty annoyed.

“What, I can't even watch my own fiancé? Well, I can't help but stare at your gorgeous, sexy body.” She answered seductively as she stood up, her upper body exposed and stepped out.

“Well I'm not the only one with a luscious looking body. You don't know what you do to me, woman.” Inuyasha was moving his eyes up and down her body getting as much as he could as she was handed a towel and wrapped it around her body.

“And you don't know how greatly you affect me.” She replied as they headed into the bedroom to get their evening attire.

“Well we can't do any serious love making until the honeymoon. You heard Dad. Think you can hold until then?” She asked. He dropped his towel and put on boxers already on the bed. He then walked to where she was and when she dropped her towel, he came behind her, undoing her hair, started to kiss all over her neck and rub all up and down her naked body. `I'll take that as a no.' She thought as she was slowly was being seduced by his gentle touch.

“Down boy! I told you, we can't until the honeymoon.” She lightly slapped him and walked out of his reach and put on her nightgown. Inuyasha pouted and walked over to the bed and waited, with arms crossed.

“You know how long I wanted to go down on you? Way too long!! And being apart is going to make it tougher on me.” She stopped and thought about the upcoming school year. She drained the tub, turned off the bathroom light, and closed the curtains and seeing the sunset as it completely dipped below the horizon, giving away to the stars and the night sky. Inuyasha turned off the lamp by the bed as Kagome crawled into bed and settled beside him under the covers. She rested her head and one arm on his bare chest with him wrapping an arm around her shoulders.

“Being apart is indeed going to be hard. Not sleeping beside you, not seeing your face everyday, I'm so used to that.” Kagome spoke up after a while, not moving from her place. He lifted her face to meet his, staring at her warm, beautiful eyes before kissing her repeatedly, cupping her face, giving her nothing but love. She kissed him back with equal passion.

“Now that's one thing I'll definitely miss.” She whispered softly as they broke apart. She settled back down on his chest. He kissed her forehead before resting against her head. “Me too. “ He whispered back as they both snuggled with one another as they let sleep overcome them, sending them both into nothing but sweet dreams about each other.
