Kagome couldn't believe Inuyasha just proposed to her. They were going to get married! After she told her mother, grandfather and Sota, alot of confusion, talking and questions were going on.
"oh! When should we have it??" her mother asked.
"well we were thinking in-" Kagome was cut off by Sota.
"is it going to be inside or outside?" Sota asked.
"what kind of cake will you be having?" her grandfather asked.
"Who is going to come?"
"how much is it going to cost?"
"where should we have it?"
"what kind of food?"
"uh..."
"what sort of bouquet??"
"what will you wear?"
"can we-"
"ok STOP IT!" Kagome and Inuyasha said together. Kagome took a deep breath.
"ok, before we told you we were getting married me and Inuyasha decided: We'll have it in 1-2 months, it will be outside, we'll be having a triple layer cake, all of our family and friends will be coming, we're not sure how much it'll cost, we're thinking of having it by the forest or on the beach, we will have sushi and seafood, and I haven't decided what I am going to wear yet." Everyone was surprised how fast Kagome answered all of those questions.
They talked about it for a long time. They talked for about 2 hours and 13 minutes. Then Inuyasha and Kagome settled down and watched Jurassic Park. Inuyasha was just learning about dinosaurs and was amazed at the video.
"I don't get it," Inuyasha said.
"what don't you get?" Kagome asked.
"why are they killing the dinosaurs? They're only hunting by their own nature. It's not their fault." Inuyasha said. Kagome laughed.
"you know, those are just robots. Not real dinosaurs."
"really? They look very real."
"yes, they do. What dinosaur do you like the best?"
"uh...the t-rex or whatever you call it."
"hehe me too."
Later in the movie Inuyasha sat beside Kagome, his eyes glued to the TV screen. Often while watching the movie he'd be yelling things like, "hey! Common! What the hell?! He's pushing the kid off the side, bastard! Common! Get the kid out of the car!!! Agh!"
Kagome just smiled. She snuggled up to him and kissed his neck. He put his arm around her. Tomorrow they had a long day ahead of them. Inuyasha, Kagome, Sota and Kagome's mom had to make 100 invitations to their wedding and send them all tomorrow and the day after. It was going to be hard but at least Inuyasha would be there with Kagome the whole time. Kagome looked at Inuyasha. Her Inuyasha. When the credits came on, he asked some questions about the movie and then they both fell asleep.
The next day Kagome woke up to find Inuyasha not there. She rubbed her eyes and looked around the living room. "musta dozed off right after the movie," she said to herself. She got up, stretched and went to the bathroom. When she came out, she headed for the kitchen. She saw Inuyasha, sniffing some sort of food and a nice breakfast on the table.
"Inuyasha...?" she asked. He got up.
"I made you breakfast," he said. Kagome smiled and sat down and took a look at her breakfast. It was bacon and eggs. And a cup of tea. Kagome smiled.
"you did this by yourself?" she asked, sipping the tea.
"well...Sota helped a bit," he said. Kagome laughed. It looked delicious. She took a bite of the bacon.
"mm it's good." she said. Inuyasha went back to sniffing the food.
"what are you sniffing?"
"I dunno...but it's wet and red. And it smells funny."
"hahaha! That's ketchup! It's what you put on burgers and hot dogs." she said. Inuyasha kept staring at it and licked it. He looked at it, and chowed it down. He must really like it. Kagome ate one of her eggs and heard her mother enter the kitchen.
"hello you two lovebirds," she said. Kagome turned to her.
"good morning, mom," she said. Her mother smiled and poured herself a glass of juice.
"we're going to be very busy today," her mother said. Kagome and Inuyasha nodded. Inuyasha put away the ketchup and scratched himself. Kagome finished eating her breakfast and went to go get dressed. When she came back down, she was wearing a light green t-shirt and jeans. She hugged Inuyasha.
"mom, today me and Inuyasha will drive down to the wedding shop and buy the invitations," Kagome said. Yes, Kagome had a car now. A Chrysler Neon to be exact. The liscence plate said HANYUS RUL (hanyous rule). It was a green car with a little picture of Kagome kissing Inuyasha hanging from the back mirror.
Later that day, Kagome took Inuyasha into her room. She rummaged through her closet.
"ok, here's your hat," she said and tossed it to him. She got her wallet, car keys and purse. She brushed her hair and they were off. This was Inuyasha's 3rd time riding in Kagome's car. He liked having the window open and putting his face out of it.
They entered the car. Kagome buckled her seat belt and so did Inuyasha. She checked her mirrors and started the car. They drove out of the driveway and Kagome headed to the downtown district."what kind of shop are we going to again?" Inuyasha asked.
"a wedding shop. We have to shop for invitations and cakes." Kagome replied. Inuyasha looked at the dog in the car beside them. It barked at them. Inuyasha growled at it and it covered its face in fear. Inuyasha grinned.
"will you be able to give the invitations to Sango, Miroku, Shippo, Kaede, Sesshomaru and Rin?" Kagome asked. Inuyasha turned to her.
"we're inviting Sesshomaru and Rin?!" Inuyasha asked, angry and surprised.
"well, yeah. Sesshomaru is family, right? And Rin is too. Sesshomaru could be like...one of your best man or something."
Inuyasha growled.
"fine, but he's probably not going to come. Shippo and Miroku are being some of the best man."
"and Sango and my three friends will be my bridesmaids."
They arrived at their destination. Inuyasha and Kagome got out of the car.
"well, here we go," she said.
