A/N: Review!!! I know you guys are reading this. But, if you don't review then you guys get to have all of the fun and I get nothing for my work. I don't own Inuyasha or Blade.
Inuyasha woke up to a small paw poking his face. He opened his eyes to see a small wolf cub sitting in front of his face, staring back at him. "Hey pup."
The cub let out a small whine.
"You're hungry? Alright." Inuyasha got up and rolled off of the bed and onto his feet. He walked around the bed to where Kagome was laying and gently shook her awake.
"Huh? Inuyasha?" Kagome yawned, stretching.
"Hey. I don't know how to cook hamburger meat." He whispered.
She turned over to pet the little cub who was now staring at her. "Alright I'm up." she rolled off the bed and walked into the kitchen. The pup followed her, barking excitedly.
"Have you thought about naming him?" Inuyasha asked, walking to the bedroom door.
"Yeah. I don't want to give him a dog name, he might get made fun of at school."
"Well, we're going to be living in America and Canada, it looks like, for a while. We should give him an American name."
"Yeah. What about Ben?" Kagome suggested.
Inuyasha smiled, picking up the pup. "Yeah. Do you like that name, pup?"
The cub barked entusiasticly.
"Then, it's settled," Kagome said pulling out a small bag full of hamburger meat and emptying the contents onto a cutting board. "You know what the best thing about being a hanyou is?" she asked flexing her claws.
"Well I should. I mean, I've only been one for... I don't know...all my life." Inuyasha said sarcastically.
"I no longer need knives." Kagome's hand moved and in a flash, the large blob of meat was in little bits. She picked up the cutting board and emptied it into the pan, turning the stove on.
"We should really find something else he'll eat." Inuyasha said, looking into the pan as Kagome cooked. "He need's more than just protein and fat you know."
Kagome sighed. "Yeah. Last night I tried to give him vegetables but he just spit them out and smiled at me."
"Well see if there's anything else."
"Okey. We'll have to do it later though. Right now we need to figure out how we're going to take care of him while we're on the mission today."
"Oh, no. Today, you're going to stay home with the pup. He's young so it's possible he can still accept your scent as the scent of his mother so you have to be around him as much as possible."
"But-"
"No 'but's you wanted to take care of him. Now I'm letting you so you have to do it right. Stay home with the pup. I'll call if anything happens."
A/N: Sorry this chapter was so short but I wanted to have a little mother pup moment before adding the plot twist.
