Inuyasha looked at the figure. It was definitely a male cat demon. The figure stepped towards Inuyasha and stood in front of him. He was about the same age and height. He looked just like Kouga, only he had cat ears and shorter hair.

"Who are you?"

The cat demon grabbed Inuyasha by the sleeve and pulled him inside the hut.

Inuyasha grabbed the demon's hand and forced it away. "What do want?"

"I am Meko. The leader of the cat tribe."

"What?! No, that man hater Neko's the leader."

"Could you help me," Meko asked stepping forward.

Inuyasha motioned for Meko to sit on the bed. Inuyasha sat in his dog way on the bed and Meko sat crossed-legged beside him.

"Now, tell me your story and I'll see what I can do. I am only doing this because this is what Kagome would want me to do."

About a year ago the male and female cat demons lived in harmony. Neko was daughter of the tribe leader. I fell in love with her and proposed after a couple get togethers with her. Neko said yes and the wedding was to be held the following week.

After marrying Neko I would become the tribe leader, though I didn't know it yet. Well, the day before the wedding Mika, a fellow cat demon was jealous of me. He told Neko I only pretended to love her and that I wanted to marry her so I may take over the trinbe.

She didn't believe him at first but soon she heard rumors and broke off the wedding. Her father soon died and she became leader. Neko banished all male cat demons to a place across the river.

"I knew there had to be a reason she hated men!"

"Will you help me win her back Inuyasha," Meko pleaded.

Shippau, who had pretended to be asleep and listened to the story spoke up, "We'll be glad to help!"

Inuyasha turned his head away from both of them. The story had reminded him of Kagome for some reason. "If we are going to help, we will need the help of the only man I know that could help. Miroku."

"Shippau and Meko looked at him strangely. Meko bowed his head and left.

Inuyasha was finally enjoying a relaxing sleep when Neko entered the hut.

"Dog Demon! Fox! Get up! You have to go see Sita at once."

Inuyasha turned around and pulled the covers over his head. Shippau pulled off his covers and sat up.

Neko then left while they dressed.

When she came back, she led them to Sita.

"So, Neko. Ever thought of marriage?" Shippau asked shyly.

"I don't need to marry!" she yelled back in rage.

Shippau was stunned by this out burst but continued walking.

Soon they came upon a large building. Obviously, Neko's house.

She led them into the mansion and they followed her down a hallway and into a large room. Sita was sitting in a chair before them. Neko then left them with Sita.

"Did Meko visit you last night?" She asked wirily.

"Yeah. We'll help him alright."

"Good. You may go now."

"You brought us here for this!!! If it wasn't for the water you provided…"
