Chapter one “The Heavenly Reincarnation”

A group of 4 teens were inside they're sleeping bags in a living room of someone's house. 2 were boys while 2 were girls. They all were supposed to be asleep, but one girl was not. She lay awake in her sleeping bag staring at the ceiling. She crawled out of her sleeping bag and quietly made her way up to her room then shut the door quietly behind her. “I better do this before I forget everything that happened,” the girl said taking out a tape recorder and hitting a button.

~~Hikaru's POV~~

File number one recording now. My name is Hikaru. I'm not going to tell you my last name since this is suppose to be a secret recording of what has happened to me, my sister, my two cousins, and 3 of my school friends in Japan. All I can tell you right now about myself is that I'm 19 years old, brown hair with stripes of light brown in it to the top of my shoulders, and blue eyes. I use to live in America until my family decided to move to Japan to get away from America for a while. Sounds stupid but they did it. I didn't mind moving. I had very few friends in my school so I though maybe moving to a new place would be fun. Boy was that an understatement. In my family besides me are my little sister Ami, mom Kin, dad Shiro, grandma Nara, two cats Jezebel and Luna, a dog Blackie, uncle Kaikou, aunt Leiko, and my two cousins Takara and Kichiro. Supposedly our new house was actually a Shinto shrine that was supposedly called the Sunset Shrine. I could have sworn I heard wrong, but I knew it was just an anime so it couldn't be real.

 

The first day at my new school I made fast friends with a girl named Sakura Chiemi. Sakura had long pink hair styled just like Trista's from Sailor Moon and green eyes. She also wore an outfit just like Kari from digimon season 2. Then I meet Satou Kaname, a guy who is really good at sports and the guy who Sakura has a crush on, and Mayuda Higame, the school clown. Satou had bleached blonde hair styled just like Kaiba's from Yu-Gi-Oh and Mayuda had brown hair styled just like Darien's from Sailor Moon. Satou always wore a blue t-shirt with a picture of a Black Luster Solider on the front, jeans, and sneakers. Mayuda was the same way with his black t-shirt that had a picture of a Blue Eyes White Dragon on the front, tan jeans, and sneakers. We all started hanging out together and then one day I decided after a month of hanging out together that it was time for a sleepover at my new shrine home. That was one bad idea on my part, but how was I suppose to know that I was going to sense something strange coming from the mini shrine on the grounds.

 

“So what do you want to do now?” Sakura asked me as I sat on my bed.

 

“How about video games?” Ami asked as she, Takara, and Kichiro came into my room. Ami had light brown hair that came a little past her shoulder blades and blue gray eyes, Takara had dark brown hair that came to her shoulders, and Kichiro had blonde that was cut army style. Both Takara and Kichiro had the same eyes as me.

 

“What the hell? You guys are supposed to be in bed. Now get back to bed,” I ordered. Our parents and grandparents were out leaving us alone at home. Bad idea on their part.

 

“We can't sleep and want to have some fun,” Kichiro said.

 

“Fine. You guys can play games for awhile and then we are all going to…” I paused when I felt a strange pulse run through me. `What was that?' I asked myself.

 

“What's wrong Hikaru?” Takara asked me.

 

“I don't know. But I just had this strange feeling rush through me and seems to be coming from somewhere outside,” I explained.

 

“Then let's check it out,” Satou said. I nodded and we all changed out of our pajamas, in separate rooms, and back into out favorite attire. Then we all headed outside to check the grounds.

 

“Any idea where it's coming from?” Sakura asked me.

 

I nodded. “There.” I pointed to the mini shrine. We all headed inside the mini shrine to see a covered well in the middle of the shrine. `Why? Why am I getting a bad feeling about this?' I asked myself.

 

{Leave now!} I heard a voice shout in my head.

 

`Huh?'

 

{Run!} It shouted again. I could make out that it was a woman's voice in my head. Suddenly something smashed through the cover of the well and grabbed us all dragging us down the well. Pink light surrounded us as we descended. Soon we emerged in what appeared to be a forest. Takara, Ami, and Sakura were screaming they're heads off while me and the guys were trying to get out of the thing's grasp. It dragged us for about three miles away from the well and it kept going.

 

`I will not let this thing hurt me or my friends and family,' I though as I punched the hand that held us. A blue light came from my fist and the thing's hand blew off. The creature dropped us on the ground and we all dashed away from it a few steps. When I turned around I couldn't believe what I saw. “No way!”

 

“What the matter with you?” Mayuda asked me.

 

“That looks like an ogre demon from InuYasha,” I said. Suddenly the supposed ogre demon charged at us. We had no weapons or anything else to protect ourselves so I knew we were in serious trouble. Then to our surprise something slashed at the demon and sliced it in two. In front of the demon now stood another weird looking person. He wore a crimson outfit much like InuYasha's robe of the Fire Rat. He turned to us and as he did I gasped in shocked to see that he almost looked like InuYasha yet his hair was completely different, it was white and black yet his eyes were golden. I almost though at that moment that he could be the son of InuYasha and Kagome. Just using it for reference) `Who is this guy?' I asked myself.

 

“What are a bunch of humans like you doing here on my turf?” he demanded growling at us. Ami, Takara, Kichiro, and Sakura hid behind Satou, Mayuda, and me although Mayuda wanted to join them.

 

I stepped towards the guy ready to defend my friends. “Its not our fault that we ended up on your turf, but that thing dragged us here. So don't go blaming us.” The guy was surprised that I stood up to him the way I did. “Come on guys. Let's go,” I said turning to my friends.

 

“You know there are a lot more demons around here,” the guy said. I could see my friends growing tense.

 

“So what are you proposing?” I asked turning back around to face him with my arms folded against my chest.

 

“Keh, I'm only going to escort you humans to a nearby village and you can go on from there where ever you like,” he said.

 

“That's nice of you,” I said sarcastly, “I'm Hikaru and these are Sakura, Satou, Mayuda, Ami, Takara, and Kichiro. And you are?”

 

“The names InuKage,” he said with pride. With that we began to walk supposedly in the direction of the nearest village.

 

“So you live out here alone?” Ami asked InuKage.

 

He growled at her and she jumped behind me. “Hey! She was only asking a question. It's better than walking in silence for an hour,” I told him. He growled at me and I just glared at him. That was when I noticed three small beings being chased by what appeared to be a giant boar. One looked like a little girl about 8 years old with white hair and pink eyes. On her head was a pair of white rabbit ears. The second one looked like a fox with blue eyes and a black diamond in the middle of its forehead. The third reminded me of Shippo from InuYasha. “That doesn't look good,” I said.

 

“We should help them,” Takara said.

 

I knew she was right. I glanced around because I knew that our hanyou bodyguard would not help out and I soon found a nice size rock. I picked it up and hurled it at the boar. “Leave them alone!” I hollered at it. The rock hit and the boar turned glaring at me. “Oh shit. I did something stupid didn't I?” I asked my friends who nodded and cringed when the boar charged right at us. “Crap!” I cursed.

 

InuKage moved in front of me and flexed his claws. “Keh. Back off trash. Fire Claws,” he cried slashing at the boar. It almost looked like InuYasha's Iron Reaver Soul Stealer, but it glowing like fire. The boar fell the instant the attack hit it.

 

I let out a sigh of relief only to gasp again when a white tiger whose eyes were bright blue leapt in between us and the 3 small creatures growling. “Not another one,” I said.

 

“Are we in trouble?” Ami asked as she clung to me.

 

“Not while I'm here,” InuKage said flexing his claws. I rolled my eyes at his statement.

 

“You won't be in trouble as long as leave them be,” a female voice said behind us. We turned to see a golden haired woman with sapphire blue eyes and golden dog-ears on her head standing there. On her shoulder was a Pipe Fox that looked like Kudamon from Digimon Savers.

 

“Back off!” InuKage growled as he charged at the woman with his claws. But when he got close to her a giant dog appeared between the woman and InuKage protecting her. The dog looked like Sesshoumaru in his true form before InuYasha cut his arm off, but was a big as Kirara in her big form. InuKage passed to assets the dog.

 

“InuKage don't!” I called to him.

 

“I ain't listening to you,” InuKage said as he prepared to attack the dog.

 

“Do you want to invoke InuYasha's wrath on you?” I asked him. The golden haired woman's eyes widened slightly in surprise. InuKage glanced back me unsure what to use as a come back.

 

“How do you know InuYasha?” the woman asked drawing a sword that was at her side. The handle was a crimson red color and the blade was gleaming in the moonlight.

 

“Sakuya, leave Butaiken in its sheath. They are not here to hurt Kagome or the others,” a new voice said. We turned to see the tiger gone and another woman with pale pink to her shoulders and bright blue eyes standing in its place.

 

“Are you sure Shitora?” the golden haired woman, Sakuya, asked as she sheathed the sword.

 

“I sense no demonic energy from them besides the one called InuKage, but he is only a half demon much like yourself, Houka, Kaze, Mamoru, Tsunami, Neko, and InuYasha,” the pink haired, Shitora, said.

 

“Usagi! Are you and the others ok?” a female voice called from the sky. It was a red haired girl with blue eyes who floated down to the ground on red wings. She wore a red kimono with a gold obi around her waist. Her red haired was as long as Raye Hino's from Sailor Moon. At least that's what it looked like to me.

 

The little rabbit girl bounded over to the red haired girl. “Houka!” the girl exclaimed.

 

Houka glared up at us after Usagi stopped in front of her. Ami hid deeper behind me while even Kichiro ducked behind Takara. “Its all right Houka. She, Shippo, and Hanako weren't harmed,” Shitora said trying to calm her down.

 

“She's right. That girl there,” Usagi pointed at me, “She was telling the puppy to back off.”

 

“Who are you calling puppy?!” InuKage demanded growling at Usagi who ducked behind Houka.

 

“Easy InuKage,” I said putting my hand on his chest. He paused yet he continued to growl. I don't know why I just had to stop him some how otherwise he might do something that would make us all regret it.

 

“Hey! She acts just like Kagome,” a new female voice said.

 

Shitora looked to the fox that trotted up beside her. “Seems that way Hanako.”

 

They all mentioned InuYasha and Kagome so I was curious as to how these people or demons knew them. “How do you know InuYasha and Kagome?” I asked.

 

[We travel with them,] a male voice said which seemed to be in our heads, [I am Inushiro.] The giant dog trotted towards us. [The Pipe Fox is called Satoshi.] Suddenly Sakuya, Houka, Shitora, Hanako, and Inushiro grew tense.

 

“What's going on?” Sakura asked. She huddled behind Satou who looked to be protecting her.

 

Houka moved away from Usagi with fire in her hands. “Inushiro, Hanako. Take Shippo, Usagi, and our new friends away from here,” Houka ordered.

 

I began to feel a strange aura or something heading right for us. I glanced around and what I saw made me draw Ami closer to me. “We can't. Webs!” I cried. Everyone glanced around and noticed it too.

 

An evil laugh filled the air as a black haired man with red eyes appeared in the air. “Naraku!” Shitora growled.

 

“None of you will escape from here. Not until you hand over the girl,” Naraku said looking directly at me. I saw lust in his eyes and I grew extremely sick to my stomach just thinking of him touching me.

 

“Ya ain't taking her!” InuKage said stepping in front of me. He was growling like he was extremely pissed about something. He stole a glance at me and I saw that he was silently asking me permission to defend me. Like he needs the permission. I gave him a small nod. He then glared at Naraku and flexed his claws.

 

“Another mutt to protect another priestess?” Naraku asked. When he said that I discovered that I was the target and the rest of my friends and family were just along for the ride.

 

“What do we do?” Takara asked me.

 

“I say we get the hell out of here now,” Mayuda said.

 

“Don't move Mayuda. If you get tangled in those webs then Naraku will be able to control you,” I told him.

 

“Huh?” Mayuda turned to me questionably, but all I did was glare up at Naraku along with InuKage.

 

“So you know of my webs, hm?” Naraku asked me.

 

“Why do you want me Naraku?” I demanded not willing to answer his question.

 

“Because you carry the Amatsu Tama,” he said.

 

`Amatsu Tama? Heavenly Jewel? What the hell is that?' I asked myself.

 

“Wind Scar!” a voice cried. The webs behind us were destroyed. “You ain't getting anything Naraku!” There stood InuYasha with a group of others beside him. Plus Kagome, Sango, Miroku, and Kirara in her bigger form were there.

 

“Houka! You all right?” a boy with blue hairstyle like Kurama's from Yu Yu Hakusho and red eyes asked. He wore an outfit similar to Sesshoumaru yet his was all blue like hair, gray boots, and blue scaly wings that came out of his back.

 

“We're all fine Kaze,” Houka told him.

 

“Not as long as he is here,” Satoshi said looking at Naraku.

 

“Ku, ku, I will return to claim the Amatsu Tama as mine just as the Shikon Jewel will be as well,” He said before disappearing.

 

I let out a sigh of relief before I saw InuKage preparing to attack InuYasha. “No InuKage! These are the good guys. That Naraku guy is the enemy,” I told him. He glanced back at me again and then relaxed, but he was still ready to go if any of them tried to hurt me or the rest of my group.

 

Kagome stepped towards us. She looked to Shitora who nodded. “Come with us back to camp. We have some food there,” she said. At the mention of food Mayuda, Ami, and Kichiro took off running in the direction Kagome was pointing. Everyone looked dumb founded at them while Sakura, Takara, Satou, and me sweatdropped.

 

Once we were all at the camp and feed we were introduced to everyone. Houka and Kaze were actually two humans who didn't know they were half demons until they went to Kagome's house and was attacked by two demon trolls. Houka, a Firebird hanyou, was actually Amber Harunohi and Kaze, a Wind Dragon hanyou, was actually Rane Fujin. The same went for Mamoru, an Earth Tiger hanyou, and Tsunami, a Water Turtle hanyou. Mamoru was actually Akira Hatake and Tsunami was actually Toyo Mizuko. Then there was Neko, the cat hanyou. He was always wandering around going from town to town until he joined InuYasha and the gang to hold back Naraku and he stayed with them ever since. Shitora or Tora as the gang sometime calls her is a tiger demon was a captive of Naraku's until he captured Kagome and Sango who took the collar off of her allowing her to use her full power which she did to free them from Naraku. Sakuya, Inushiro, and Satoshi were a different case. The three of them were searching for shards to lure in Naraku who had destroyed Sakuya's village. Sakuya is a fox hanyou who was as cold as Sesshoumaru sometimes. Inushiro is known as a Phantom Dog who are a very rare breed indeed. They are able to fly and vanish into thin air. Hanako was InuYasha's best friend back in the days before he fell for Kikyo and she is a Fire Fox. Fire Foxes are the child of a Fire Cat and Fox demon love. She can be chicken like Myoga, but when push come to shove Hanako will do her best to protect anyone. Then there was the little Usagi the rabbit demon. She was so hyper and she treated Amber/Houka as a big sister. She would only listen to her and Kagome, but she would also listen to the others when danger arrived. “So you guy's are actually from a different time then Kagome?” Neko asked.

 

I nodded. Usagi, Shippo, Hanako, Ami, and Kichiro were racing around playing games. “I just want to know why Naraku wants this Heavenly Jewel and why he thinks it's in me,” I said.

 

“Because you look like Hayahisa,” said a small voice. We all glanced up at InuYasha's shoulder to see Myoga there.

 

“Myoga!” Sakura said.

 

“Whose Hayahisa?” InuKage asked.

 

“Do you know anything about a jewel called Heavenly Jewel?” I asked almost in time with InuKage. I glanced at him yet I quickly looked away when he looked at me and back at Myoga. Why was I feeling so strange and why was it towards InuKage?

 

“Both are related to the other. Hayahisa was a very powerful priestess who could control fire, water, wind, and earth plus she also suppose to guard a powerful jewel that was called the Heavenly Jewel. It was said to have the power of two gods in it. One good and one bad,” Myoga explained.

 

“In a way it's like the Shikon Jewel,” Mamoru said.

 

“Yes. It is just like the Shikon Jewel aside from the fact of the two gods souls inside it,” Myoga said.

 

“Which means Naraku wants to make a wish on it,” Satou said.

 

“But there is something else,” Myoga said which caught our attention, “The Heavenly Jewel is also very unstable.”

 

Ami and the others stopped playing to hear this. “What do you mean?” she asked.

 

“Since there are two souls from two different yet powerful gods inside the jewel fighting for dominance the wish could backfire and destroy the wisher or destroy its guardian,” Myoga said. That did not sit well with me.

 

“So this jewel could turn on me if I had it?” I asked.

 

“Yes it could,” Myoga said. I could not believe it. It was either let Naraku have the jewel and hope his wish backfires on him or pray that the jewel doesn't kill me when we find it. Neither choice was looking good.

 

“Naraku is not going to get the jewel and we ain't going to let it kill her,” InuYasha said.

 

“But what if it does?!” I shouted leaping to my feet and everyone looked at me, “I still have my whole life ahead of me! So I say let the jewel remain where ever it's at and be done with it!” I dashed away from the camp afraid of letting them see my tears. I heard them all call out to me telling me to stop, but I didn't. I did stop only when I came to a creek and sat down by its edge crying.

 

“Hikaru?” I heard a small boys voice ask. I turned to see Shippo, Hanako, Usagi, and Ami standing there.

 

I banished my tears with my hands as they approached. “Sorry about my out burst,” I said to them as they came over to me.

 

Shippo leapt onto my shoulder while Hanako sat by my right side. Ami and Usagi just stood behind me. “Don't cry Hikaru. We'll out figure a way to not have the jewel destroy you,” Shippo said.

 

“He's right sis. None of us will let you die,” Ami said.

 

“Yeah and if Naraku tries to steal it we'll give him a good ass kicking,” Usagi said acting like she was punching something.

 

“A little demon like you think you can defeat me?” We all went stiff and slowly turned to see Naraku standing there.

 

“Shippo! Go get the others!” I cried. He nodded and disappeared. Ami and Usagi hid behind me while Hanako was in front growling at Naraku. She was then engulfed in flames and now she stood as tall as Kirara in her bigger form yet she still kept her fur and eye color along with the black diamond.

 

“Stay away from her Naraku,” Hanako growled.

 

“You will give me the Amatsu Tama,” Naraku said lunging at us.

 

“Usagi! Ami! Keep away from me otherwise you'll get dragged into this,” I told them. That was my undoing. I felt something strike my side and a small blue sphere appeared from the wound on my side then fall to the ground. `What is that?'

 

“The Heavenly Jewel is now mine,” Naraku said lunging for it.

 

“No it's not!” I said grabbing the jewel and running with it. Naraku suddenly appeared in front of me. `Shit!'

 

“Sis!” I heard Ami call. I glanced at her. “Keep away!” She called pointing to Usagi. I nodded knowing that Ami was trying to help.

 

“Usagi! Catch!” I called. I hurled the jewel towards the young rabbit demon.

 

She jumped up and caught it. “Got it!” she cried only to see Naraku going after her. “Ami!” She tossed the jewel towards Ami.

 

That was when the trouble started. Ami caught the jewel and then Naraku was right behind her. He grabbed her and took the jewel from her. “Ami!” I cried. If anything happened to her my parents wouldn't forgive me. I had to find a way to get her out of his grip without getting her hurt.

 

“Naraku!” InuYasha cried charging at Naraku with the Tetsusaiga transformed.

 

“InuYasha don't!” I cried. He glanced at me and saw my worried eyes. Then Naraku turned and showed him why I was worried.

 

“Damnit!” InuYasha cursed as he paused. The others joined him and gasped when they saw Ami in Naraku's grasp.

 

I knelt on the ground and InuKage leapt over to me. “You all right?” he asked me. I nodded, but I still held my side to try to stop the bleeding. He stood and flexed his claws glaring at Naraku.

 

“You can't fight him! He has Ami!” I said grabbing his arm. He glanced at me and then at Naraku. “We need to get both her and the Heavenly Jewel away from Naraku,” I said. I glanced around trying to find a weapon. That was when I noticed a light off to the side. It was a Soul Stealer and I was betting it was Kikyo's. Below it was a bow and arrow. It then flew away. `She's helping?' I asked myself. I decided not to question it further and dashed over to the bow and arrow while Naraku was still focus on InuYasha and the others. I grabbed both items and fitted the arrow into the bow. I took aim at the jewel and prayed that this wouldn't be something I would regret later. I let the arrow fly and it struck the jewel. The jewel glowed brightly and then hundreds or millions of shards shot off into a billion different directions. 2 of the shards landed in front of me and I picked them up.

 

“You wench!” Naraku said flinging Ami towards the ground, but InuYasha caught her before she was injured.

 

Now they just had to worry about me since Naraku was headed right for me. InuKage leapt in between me and Naraku and then Shitora (In her true form), Kirara (In her big form), Inushiro, and Hanako leapt at Naraku. But before any of them could hurt him lightning came from out of nowhere and struck Naraku. He promptly disappeared and we all saw who had saved us. To our surprise it was Sesshoumaru. “Sesshoumaru?!” Takara asked in disbelief. He silently left with out a second look.

 

Ami rushed over to me. “Sis are you ok?” she asked me.

 

“Yeah I'm fine. But what about you Ami?” I asked her.

 

“I'm ok.” Takara, Kichiro, Sakura, Mayuda, and Satou came over to check on Ami and me too. We all then made our way back to camp to tend to my wound. Soon it was close to morning and everyone was asleep. Except for me and the rest of my friends. We were scared that Naraku might try something again. I sat up and shook my friends awake.

 

“What's wrong now?” Mayuda asked quietly rubbing his eyes.

 

“We're going. I don't want to wait around and let Naraku try to take these shards that I have,” I explained. We all agreed and we all quietly left making our way towards the well that we came out of. For some reason the father away from the camp we went the hard something seemed to tug at my heart. Like it was trying to tell that it was a bad idea to do this. But at that moment I was more worried about my family and friends so I set my heart aside and leapt down the well with my group. On the other side we found ourselves back at my home and we disappeared inside and went right to bed. How was I supposed to know that my heart was trying to warn me? End file one.

 

~~Normal POV~~

 

She pushed the stop button and yawned. `I better get back in bed and be ready for tomorrow. Who knows what will happen,' Hikaru though to herself. She headed back downstairs and back into her sleeping back. Soon she fell asleep.
