“ Genes are given to the offspring,” said Ms. Oikawa. It was 7 years since the encounter with Inuyasha. Amimi was now in high school. She was 15 and was attending Negomi High. “ How boring,” whispered Rikku, Amimi's best friend. Amimi has known Rikku since 1st grade and has always been there for Amimi everyday. “ Ding dong,” went the school bell. “ Dismissed,” said Ms. Oikawa and everyone scrambled out the door. “ So do you miss this Inuyasha?” asked Rikku in a sly voice. “ Uh..” blushed Amimi as they walked down the stairs. Everyday since she met Inuyasha, she has waited for him by the small cave in the forest. She has never been in the cave since it creeps her out. Amimi said good-bye to Rikku as she got home. She now lived with her cousin Hiroshi since the divorce 3 years ago. His house is still near the woods where she met Inuyasha.

“Hi Hiroshi! I'm home,” yelled Amimi, trying to see if anyone was there, but there was no answer. “Hummm… gone out to by groceries. Already picked up Owshi. Love, Hiroshi-sama,” Amimi said reading the note. “Great… Now I have to make dinner,” sighed Amimi. She really hated cooking since the day she went to the cooking class at school, which was a complete disaster. Amimi got out the pots and pans, and looked out the window. “ Guess I can't wait for Inuyasha today,” Amimi sighed as she saw the brown and red leaves falling out of the trees. Then, in a quick flash, she saw a dark figure running past the window. “Huh?” said Amimi in astonishment. “Oh well.”

When she finished making dinner, Hiroshi and Owshi got home. “ Hi Amimi-sama,” cried Owshi. He was now in Middle School and was very annoying. “Hello Amimi-sama,” said her cousin Hiroshi. “Good afternoon you two! Dinner is just about ready.” Amimi said in delight. She didn't really like to eat dinner at 4:00 so she stayed in her room. Her room was very messy with clothes everywhere. That's when she knew it was time to clean up. “Ugh! I hate it when my room is this messy,” said Amimi in despair. When she was done she noticed her necklace was gone. “ Hey, where did it go?” said Amimi in a confused voice picking up anything in her way.

The next day, she met a boy named Toya Higarashi. During the long walk home, there he was running towards Amimi and Rikku. Rikku quickly ran behind a tree to keep the conversation private between the two. “ Hi Amimi!” said Toya. “ Will you go with me to the festival on Saturday?” “Ugh…” said Amimi. She wasn't really “interested” in him. “ I don't know I-,” “ Psssst, Amimi,” Rikku whispered behind a tree. “ Go with him,” “ Uh…sure I guess,” said Amimi to Toya. “Okay see ya then,” yelled Toya from his bike as he rode down the hill. “ Rikku! Why should I go with him!” yelled Amimi. “ Because, people are saying he is the cutest guy in school! You'll be the newest couple,” said Rikku in a small voice. “ So, you use me for socializing!!!!!” yelled Amimi at Rikku. “No, not like that!” said Rikku. Great… now I'm going out with this loser because of my best friend and my necklace is also missing thought Amimi. What's next?
