Inuyasha's First 4th of July

Hello! I guess you could say this is a sequel to Inuyasha's First Christmas. This is my 3rd fanfic to write so I hope you enjoy it. I encourage you to review so I know how the story is going.

"Come on Inuyasha" Kagome said giggling, "It can't hurt your ears that much!"

"How would you know? You don't have ears!" Inuyasha yelled back.

"I do to have ears Inuyasha"

"If you want to call those things ears!"

"Inuyasha, Kagome please don't start fighting again!" Shippo yelled.

"Fine I'll light the stupid thing!"

Inuyasha bent over and lit the rocket that was sticking out of the ground with a lighter Kagome had brought from the present. The fire followed the string and disappeared into the rocket. "BOOM," A moment later the rocket took off in a whistle and lit up the night sky with sparkling ashes.

"There that's the last one," Inuyasha said.

"Yes, I guess I better get back to the present for tomorrow's 4th of July celebration."

Kagome jumped into the well and was hurtled into the present.

She climbed out of the well and walked home. Along the way she passed little kids setting off fire works and firecrackers. Most of them were running around their yards writing their names with sparklers. When she reached her house she ate a cold dinner and went to bed after a hot bath.

"I really liked Kagome's fire sticks" Shippo said.

"Fireworks stupid," Inuyasha said.

"No Fire sticks!"

Wham! "Fire Works" Inuyasha punched Shippo in the head and began walking to the God Tree. Shippo followed him rubbing his head.

Inuyasha lay against the God Tree and started to fall asleep. Shippo rested beside the God Tree on a bed of pine needles. "I wish I could…yawn…go to the celebration with Kagome" Shippo said sleepily.

"Yeah, I guess," Inuyasha answered before he passed out into a light sleep. "Why not," Shippo mumbled before he fell asleep.
