Chapter 5

Inuyasha and the gang sat down with Kagome near the tree. Kagome took the food she had placed in her backpack before them. And to her delight, it was still warm. Keade and Sango laid down a ham and loaf of bread down too. The boys stared at the food with drool hanging from there mouths.

"Okay! Before we eat we need to say a prayer," Kagome said cheerfully. They all bowed there heads and closed their eyes as Kagome said a prayer of thanks and talked about Jesus, which nobody understood but her.

"Lets Eat!!!" Inuyasha yelled.

"No, we have wait for Rin."

"WHY?"

"Because I invited her that's why, now wait!"

"While we wait, why don't you tell us more about Jesus," Keade asked politely trying to start conversation.

"Okay. It all started with Mary and Joseph, his mother and father, they were riding on a donkey named Lester to Bethlehem…"

"We need to go now Sesshomaru-sama!" Rin called to Sesshomaru.

"Come Jaken. We must follow Rin to a Christmas celebration we have been invited too."

"Who invited us?" Jaken asked.

"Rin knows," He answered.

"Then the three wise men came and gave him…they are here!" Kagome said in delight and satisfaction.

Off in the distance you could just make out Rin, Sesshomaru, and Jaken walking towards them. "Sesshomaru came too!!!" Inuyasha yelled in anger.

Suddenly Sesshomaru stopped walking and said something to Rin that could not be heard. Then came a clear reply from Rin. "Where else would we go?" Then the figure of Sesshomaru began walking, but slower this time.

Rin bounded up to them and sat down comfortably by Kagome, but no one paid any attention to her, all eyes were on Sesshomaru and Jaken standing some feet away. No one said anything.

Kagome loudly cleared her throat and raised her courage enough to speak, "Now that everyone is present lets eat!"

Sesshomaru slowly eyed Inuyasha and then stared at the tutsiega by his side. "Only came for Rin," he said slowly and then sat down.

Rin threw her bag of gifts under the tree and then began to eat with the others. Jaken waited for Sesshomaru to start eating, so he would know it would be ok for him to eat as well. Sesshomaru slowly picked up a sausage and placed it in his mouth. Then a slight smile came to his face and suddenly vanished once he realized the smile that had appeared on his face.

Jaken then began to eat too.

"What do you do most of your time Sesshomaru," Kagome asked.

Sesshomaru looked at her and sat silent for a moment before speaking, "Just roam my lands."

Everyone talked and ate to their hearts content. Jaken started a conversation about fleas being pests with Myoga and Sesshomaru talked a little with Miroku. After the dinner it was present time.

Kagome passed everyone their gifts and they began to open them.

Inuyasha received a red T-shirt and blue jeans from Kagome along with a box of Ramen Noodles. He got a dream catcher from Shippo, a beautiful hand-carved staff from Miroku, a nice comfortable robe from Sango, a woven reed basket from Keade, a straw hat from Myoga, and a bag full of beautiful pebbles from Rin. Sesshomaru gave him a small, rough star made from sticks.

Kagome received a necklace of delicate beads from Inuyasha, a shawl from Sango, flea repellent from Shippo, a small hand-carved man from Miroku, a bracelet from Myoga, an arrow carrying case from Keade, a bag of fresh water pearls from Rin, and small, rough star from Sess.

Shippo got a wooden top which had SHIPPO engraved in it from Inuyasha, a pop-gun from Kagome, and more toys from the rest of the gang, and a small, rough star from Sess.

Sango received a bag of blue and red candles from Inu, a beautiful pink dress from Kagome, a homemade perfume from Keade, a small grass mat from Myoga, a wonderful ring with a small jewel in it from Miroku, a small heart made of leaves from Rin, a painting from Shippo, and a small, rough star from Sess.

Miroku received a nice yellow and orange bag from Inu, a cool hat and tennis shoes from Kagome, fine sandals from Sango, a lay off girls sign from Shippo, a bag of tea from Keade, a pine comb man from Rin, and homemade candy from Myoga. Also a small, rough star from Sess.

Myoga got a teeny tiny bag of blood from everyone.

Rin received a toy from Inu, a little dress and slippers from Kagome, a quilt that Keade and Sango had worked on together, and toys form everyone else. She received a small wooden horse and a delicate bracelet from Sess.

Sesshomaru got a stick man from Inu, a bag of chocolates and sweets from Kagome, A small cover from Sango, a woven straw mat from Keade, a sack of pebbles and a picture from Rin, and a robe from Miroku.

Keade received a soft feather pillow from Inuyasha, a tin can of cookies and chocolate from Kagome, a shawl from Sango, a straw basket from Shippo, a bowl, cup, and plate from Miroku, a small carving of a deer from Myoga, a long smooth stick meant to be a staff from Rin, and a small, rough star from Sess.

Jaken got a hat from Inu, a candy bar form Kagome, and robes, covers, and baskets from everyone else.

Everyone said thanks for their gifts and then Sesshomaru, Rin, and Jaken took off across the land. Everyone else went to Keade's to say more thanks and further examine their gifts.

Kagome stayed for about an hour after the celebration and then said goodbye and headed towards the well with her things to enjoy another Christmas with her family. It had been a wonderful experience and she decided to do it again next year.
