It’s been one full year now since all of the jewel shards have been found and the sacred shikon jewel was reassembled. Inuyasha, Miroku, Sango, Kagome, Shippou, and of course Kirara defeated the malicious Naraku in a fierce battle. (When I say Shippou I mean he was there.) With their glorious victory they all didn’t know what to do. Of course they had completed an important task. A life goal was now done. Leaving them all undecided of what they would do now. Once they all thought about it they realized how simple the answer was. They all agreed to travel and help those in need. It seemed to be something they were all good at and well none of them wanted to leave the group. Despite Inuyasha’s front he didn’t want to leave his friends. Their group was their family. And surprisingly the shikon jewel was still not put to use after the reassembling. It was put in a safe place. This way the power would not be used for evil. It all seemed so prefect they didn’t have to constantly be worried of a trap from Naraku. They were at peace. And Inuyasha finally in his heart knew whom he loved. Yet his stubbornness got in the way of telling her. Of course it was Kagome.
‘Ok Inuyasha’ Inuyasha thought in his head ‘you know which one you love why wont you tell her?!
Because she may not feel the same way!’ He argued in his head one side VS the other ‘Well how will you know if you don’t try?
It’s not that simple!
Why not? Tell her then you will find out just tell her!

"Inuyasha?" Kagome said noticing his odd behavior
"Yes?" He looked up at her their eyes meeting
"Are you ok?" She said caringly towards him
He nodded and looked into her eyes ‘She’s so beautiful. I thought I loved Kikyo but it doesn't even compare to how I feel about Kagome. Her scent drives me crazing and I need to protect her. Only her. Nothing else matter next to her.’ he was taken over by the urge to just kiss her something he needed her. Only her. It was only the two of them and he could kiss her he thought. ‘NO NO I can’t no then well then no I just can’t I can’t she’ll slap me I I don’t know I just can’t’ He took his gaze from her to the ground
"Inuyasha" her voice kindly said "are you sure your ok you seem so out of it lately"
"I’m fine I just have allot on my mind"
"Oh like Kikyo?" Kagome said a bit harsh yet she had every right she thought ‘I mean here I am so confused to whether he wants me or her. He of course wants her. He would do anything if it meant he would be with his precious Kikyo’
"Huh?" He said surprised she never brought that subject up usually "No. Not her. I couldn’t careless about her." He said a bit surprised that he told her the absolute truth.
"Why? I mean I’m not complaining but I thought you loved her?" Kagome asked afraid of the answer she might get like an I do love her but... or something.
"As far as loving her goes I’m sure I don’t. I avenged her death and yes I did love her but. Well now things are different. I-I l-l" And Inuyasha was cut of by Miroku.
"Inuyasha!" Miroku yelled there’s a demon attacking the village close by! We have to hurry!"
"Ohh" Inuyasha growled annoyed by the interruption. " Let’s go!"
With that they were off to save another village. Kagome was carried by Inuyasha so they could get there at top speed. And because he just wanted her close.
Kagome got to thinking ‘What was he trying to say? I mean I could have sworn he was about to say I love you to me. Is that possible? Would he? Oh of course not Kagome stop being so dumb I’m sure it was nothing’ With that she focused on the small village in peril.
"Come on lets go!" Inuyasha yelled to the hideous creature before him. He got out his trusty sword the Tessaiga. It’s been long since Inuyasha discovered the full power so of course the battle ended in seconds.
"Ya know guys someday I wish there was a demon out there that wasn’t such a push over!" Inuyasha said a bit upset over the fact that his fighting skills were hardly used thanks to the wussy demons he faced. To him after he defeated Naraku he had really nothing to battle worth his time. Well Shesshoumaru but he didn’t really care much about that anymore. When Shesshoumaru came to him then it would be go time but until then why waste his time?
And so the good deed was done and everyone was happy.
‘Ok Inuyasha’ Inuyasha thought in his head ‘you know which one you love why wont you tell her?!
