Prologue: How it used to be
The sky was still dark from last nights Storm. The cold chill in the air still remained. Everything seemed to be wet or muddy. The school was not an exception. It was silent and the earth seemed to have stopped moving.........That was until a loud, high pitched voice pierced the silence.
"Inuyasha!" a girl screamed. She was covered in mud. Inuyasha stood above her smirking evilly. They had been fighting and he had pushed her into a puddle of mud. You couldn't really see her face, but you could still tell that she was put out, fed up, and just plain pissed. She stood up her clothes, hair, and face all dripping in muddy water.
"That look is good for you." Inuyasha said coldly. "When your all covered in mud, I can't see your ugly face."
Kagome was really mad now. A dark blue aura was flaming around her. She pushed Inuyasha over with so much force that he hit the pole behind him, lost his balance, and fell into the same mud puddle.
"Inuyasha you are the most stuck up, self centered, air headed, jerk that I have ever or will ever met."
"At least I'm not a four eyed, wired, ugly, braced faced freak!"
"First of all, I could care less about what you think about me. And second of all.......Ah! I hate you so much!"
"Well don't worry, that feeling is mutual I assure you!"
"Would you two stop!" Kagome's friends Alex pleaded.
"Your both being totally unreasonable!" Inuyasha's friend Miroku yelled.
"Stay out of this!" Kagome and Inuyasha yelled at the same time.
"Fine." Miroku said coldly. "Have fun in detention."
Inuyasha and Kagome looked to their left to see the principle coming towards them.
"Let's go Miroku." Inuyasha said. "Later freak."
"Oh go stare at yourself in a mirror you snob," was her cold reply.
Well, if you didn't notice, they don't really like each other. Inuyasha was a rich, popular pretty boy. He had long silver-white hair, mesmerizing amber-golden eyes, claws, fangs, and cute little dog ears. Almost every one knew he was half demon.
Kagome was a middle class, un-popular, not so pretty girl. She had beautiful brown-raven hair. You couldn't really tell though because she always had her hair in to braids. Her eyes were a very pretty blue-gray color, but you couldn't tell because she wore glasses. Kagome had a pretty good figure, even though you couldn't see that because of her baggy clothes. She had a pretty ok face, but she didn't wear make-up. To top it all off, her teeth were hidden behind braces.
People, like Inuyasha, took it upon them self's to make her life miserable. If she did something like cry, he would just make fun of her more. Because of that, she hadn't cried since she was 10. She was now 14. Both her and Inuyasha were in 8th grade, going though their last year of Jr. High.
But before the end of the year, Kagome's mom gave her the news that they would be moving out of Tokyo, and going to the United States. Her mom's new job was there, so that was where their family needed to go. She promised that one day, they would come back.
The day that Kagome's family moved, was one of the happiest day's she had experienced in a long time. She wasn't really sad to go. Inuyasha wasn't quiet crying over her parting either.
That day they both hoped, that they would never have to see each other again.
