Flashback

“Kagome! Watch out!” cried the silver-haired hanyou as a swarm of poisonous insects headed toward the miko. Kagome screamed, expecting pain to come. Instead, the demon-slayer's hirakotsu destroyed the insects. “Thanks, Sango!” Kagome called. Sango caught the hirakotsu and nodded as the gang made their way to Naraku.

Naraku was waiting for them, ready to take the shards and become a full youkai. “I have dreamed of this moment for a long time,” Naraku said to himself. “I will finally kill that worthless Inuyasha and take his miko-wench Kagome as my bride. If she is truly as strong a miko as I have heard, perhaps the children she bears will be full youkai instead of hanyou.” He chuckled evilly and stood ready as he sensed his prey was drawing near.

“Die, Naraku!” Inuyasha yelled as he unleashed his Wind Scar, breaking the barrier around the evil hanyou, Naraku. As the barrier shattered, Kagome drew back her bow and fired an arrow into his arm. Naraku chuckled loudly. “So you have arrived. And you thought you could defeat me with this, miko?” he asked, swiftly pulling the arrow out of his arm. Kagome gasped as his wound healed. “Try dealing with this!” Sango yelled, throwing her hirakotsu at him. It merely cut of his right leg. “Do you think a missing limb will stop me?” Naraku laughed and turned his attention to Inuyasha. “It is time you die, Inuyasha. And don't worry about your precious Kagome. She will be safe here with me, bearing my children.” Naraku began walking towards Kagome. Her eyes went wide as came near. “Stay away from her, you bastard!” Inuyasha cried, using the Wind Scar on his foe. “What?!” Naraku turned to face the attack and, while he was distracted, Kagome plunged one of her arrows straight into his heart. Naraku cried out and fell to the ground. As the smoke from Inuyasha's attack cleared, Kagome bent over to examine his body. “I think… he's really dead.” All eyes turned to Miroku as he unwrapped the rosary beads on his cursed hand. He opened his palm and saw nothing. “My Wind Tunnel. It's truly gone. Not a trick, like before. Naraku is…dead.”

Hirakotsu- Sango's weapon

Miko- priestess

Wench- offensive turn used to insult women, can mean bitch

Wind scar- One of Inuyasha's attacks

Wind Tunnel- an endless void in Miroku's hand

Youkai- full demon
