Chapter 3: Destruction

 

(Seconds after Kagome is Bitten)

Inuyasha was Pissed! He'd come in hopes of finding Kagome and finally admit how he felt about her. But so far all that he'd managed to accomplish was run around in a fucking circle! The moment he got out of the well house he ran into Souta, who told him that Kagome had gone on an arrand with some friends. Somehow Souta had managed to pin a stupid hat on him. He'd ran around 'Tokyo' for half an hour, and in the end it led him back to were he'd started, the well house. "Damn it, when I get my hands on that wench I'm gonna...Fuck, I don't know what I'm gonna do, but it sure as hell ain't gonna be pretty. Hehehe, it might just get a little messy..." Jumping out of the well he noticed something was wrong. It was way too quiet. He'd not gone more than three steps when the smell of blood hit him. But it wasn't just anyone's blood, 'Kagome' Fear coursed through his body as he took off in the direction of the scent, what if something had attacked her? 'Fuck...Kagome...please be safe...'

(Ten minutes before Kagome is Bitten)

Sango sat by the fire in Kaede's hut grumbling about "Hentai's and their wandering hands..." This was because of Miroku's latest explorations of her backside, worst off he did it in front of Shippo! What kind of example was he setting for the child?

Currently the monk sat outside, rubbing his jaw. Usually he just got slapped, but having had enough this time he got an underhand uppercut. 'Kami...I know I shouldn't have done that, but I just couldn't resist. However, I do believe that uppercut was uncalled for...' Sighing he looked over the hill and was surprised to see people approaching.The group appered to consist of four people, three male and one very lovely young woman. 'Wait...I've seen that woman before...' Yet the name just wouldn't match the body. 'Maybe I should get another opinion' Rushing into the hut he located Sango by the stove cooking what appeared to be supper. He'd not even taken a step forwand when he was nearly decapitated by the huge wooden spoon that Sango had hurled at him. "Be calm lady Sango," He held his hands up in a sign of innocence, " I have come only to ask a favor of you." Sango glared at him, not at all convinced by his words, "Why should I help a hentai houshi such as yourself?" Miroku fained a hurt expression, "Why Sango, your words wound me. Budda said that all living things should be apreciated. It is, and if not, it should be a crime against Buddah's teachings, if a body such as yours were not properly and entirely appreciated." Sango blushed slightly at the hidden compliment, but none the less replied rather coldly, "My body doesn't want nor need your appreciation houshi-sama, so I would apperiate it if you kept your hands to yourself."

Deciding it was best to drop the argument he gave Sango his most charming smile, "I shall try my dearest Sango. But for now back to that favor..." Sighing Sango rolled her eyes at the monk, "No Miroku, I will not bear your child." Miroku sweat dropped as he felt himself turn red and he had no choice but to chuckle nerviously, "Do you honestly think that low of me Sango? Don't answer that!" He added quickly when she opened her mouth to respond, "No, this has nothing to do with bearing my child. But while were on the subject..." He stopped as soon as he saw Sango's hand come dangerously close to her weapon, "Right, well I think it would be for the best if we leave this discussion for later." Now Sango appered mildly intirested, "Then what is it?" Motioning for her to follow him, she was surprised when she saw him lead her outside and point towards an approaching group of travelers on horseback.

"Do you see the girl traveling with them?"

"Yes, what of it?"

"I swear she looks familiar."

"Maybe one of the girls you leacherized?"

"Please do not kid like that Sango. She is far too young...Unless...THWACK"

"Please keep your perverted thoughts and actions to yourself."

"But in all seriousness does she not look familiar?"

Taking a second look, she had to admit that he had a point, there was something about her that seemed familiar, but she just couldn't quite put her finger on it. "Yes, she does look familiar, but...no, I can't remember." Turning to look at him she was amazed by how much thought he was puting into figuring out who she was. "But, they are comming through here, so we could always get a better look when they get closer. What do you think?" Miroku smiled at this, "Yes Sango my dear you are indeed correct. Truly you are as smart as you are beautiful." Sango blushed, but gave him sincere smile. The visitors were nearly apon them, and Sango would have been the first to welcome them to the village seeing as how Kaede was out with Kirara and Shippo gathering herbs. However was stopped before she could begin by a certain monk's hand gently massaging her rear, "HENTAI!" She yelled at the top of her lungs as her fist connected with the back of his head.

( 5 Minutes before Kagome is Bitten)

Feminine giggles turned her attention to the girl that was the object of their attention, "Its been a long time Sango-sama." The young woman said as she bowed, upon desending she noticed the monk on the floor, "Oh Miroku-sama, Rin would have thought that by now you would have dropped your hentai ways. Obviously you proved Rin wrong." Sango appered to be taken aback, "Rin-chan...? Is that really you?" Rin nodded enthusiasticly. "My Rin, you certanly have changed..." Rin smiled. In the last three and a half years since she had last been seen, she had gone through many changes. She had grown at least by three feet, so she was now about 5'2". Her long black hair was thick and healthy and reached her half-way to her knees. Her body now had the fresh young curves of that of a woman who was ready to bear and raise children. The first to notice this was Miroku, leaping to his feet only to clasp Rin's hands in his, "Rin-chan...would you do me the honor of bearing my child?"

The vein in Sango's temple began to pulse threatningly, however before she could hit the offending monk a faster swifter hand shot out and practicly knocked the monk's head right off his sholders. Turning she saw that one of the men that Rin had been traveling with had jumped off his horse and slugged the monk before Rin could reply. Expecting Rin to look relieved she was astonished to see that she was looking at the man with a look of mortification, "Akurei...that was entirely uncalled for!" Everyone excluding the unconcious monk and Akurei fell to the floor from shock. Akurei raised an eyebrow as his the vein in his temple began to twitch with the obvious effort he was putting into remaining calm, "Please explain what you mean 'uncalled for'. For if I was correct, which I'm sure I was, he asked you to bear his child, which would in short be defiling you. I mearly wished to protect your honor Rin-sama, however if you wish to bear his child, I shall not stop you..." Rin however did not miss the sound of hurt in his voice at his final words.

All the anger or embarrassement that she was feeling ebbed away as she realised what he meant, "Akurei, I have no desire whatsoever to bear Miroku-sama's child. That is mearly a question he asks of every woman he meets." A wave of relief coarsed through Akurei's body as he realized that Rin was indeed telling the truth. 'I'm glad...It would be a shame if I was beaten by a human monk... a perverted monk no less...' Regaining her composure Sango watched with curiosity at the conversation between Rin and the man known as Akurei. 'He must have feelings for her...' She smiled 'And its obvious that she feels the same, however it seemes that they don't realize that they both share the same feelings...Now, why does that not surprise me? This is like another Inuyasha-Kagome romance.' "So..., may I ask who this is Rin-chan?" Startled by the question Rin jumped before she blushed and bowed apogetically, "How rude of Rin, I apologize Sango-sama. This is Akurei-sama, but he preferes to be called just Akurei." Turning to point at the man with the blond hair she continued, "And this is Akurei's younger brother Kibu-sama." The man with the blond hair dismounted the horse he had been sharing with the other man with brown hair, who was currently helping the fallen monk. "It is a pleasure to meet you Sango-sama." Kibu said as he bowed, taking her hand he placed a kiss on it. Sango blushed before Akurei smaked his brother on the head, "Itai...What was that for!" Akurei rolled his eyes, "Obviously she is taken by the monk." It was now Sango's turn to be the one mortified,

"WHAT! Me...and him...? No..." Akurei smiled, "Heh, believe what you want, soon you shall discover your true feelings." He had just reached his horse when Suteru bumped into him unconcious monk in arms. The monk fell to theground from the force at with Suteru bumped into Akurei, "I apologize Lord Akurei..." Akurei merely shook his head, "No need to apologize, but you should go and greet Sango-sama." Suteru nodded and began to walk towards Sango, Miroku lay on theground forgotten. Miroku had just begun to stir when he realized he was on the floor. He triedto stand, but found that his legs were to weak to support themselves and hoist himself up at the same time, suddenlya hand appered infront of him. Looking up he noticed that the handbelonged to the platnum-blond youth who had knocked him unconcious, hesitantly he took the hand. "It is a pleasure to meet you...Akurei was it?" Akurei gave a curt nod, "I apologize for striking you," pulling him closer he whispered in his ear, "Watch yourself monk, if you try that on Rin-sama ever again I will not hesitate to kill you. Man of the cloth or not." Seperating Miroku was left in a bit of a stupor. 'When he treatened me like that he reminded me remarkably of Inuyasha...' Brushing it off as a delusion of his aching head. Gathering his wits he decided to pose the man a question, "So Akurei-sama, what brings you to this village?"

Akurei stopped in mid-step as he turned and faced the monk, who had rejoined Sango. "I have come in search of family." Sango seemed surprised. In all her time in the village she had never seen one other person with hair such as his, but maybe it was something that skipped a generation or so. "Really, anyone me may know?" Akurei smiled at them, "It is highly possible, you see I am in search of my cousin. Long ago, back when my parents were still alive I used to visit him regularly, of coarse back then he was real young, so I don't know if he remembers me, but since he is all the family I have left besides my brother I decided maybe it was best to locate him. Ironically, my cousin han an older brother. This was the man that me and my brother looked up to the most. He was our idol so to speak and ironically he was the one that betrayed us and destroyed our lives."

(Kagome is bitten)

Before Sango could reply she felt a powerful shiver course through her body. Turning she saw that Miroku had felt the same thing.

"Miroku?"

"Did you feel the same thing Sango?"

"Yes, it felt like an evil demonic presence."

Both were startled to hear a growl begin to emit from Akurei, "Sesshomaru" Was the only thing he said. Rin's eyes widdened, "Akurei are you sure?" Akurei snorted in responce, "Yeah, its him. I would know that bastards stench anywhere." Now that earned a look from Miroku, "Stench? Your not entirely human are you?" Akurei was about to respond when he felt it, another Aura, but this one seemed to be faiding, "Wait, there's someone else there a...a miko?" Sango gasped, "Kagome. Quick Miroku we have to get over there, what if Kagome's in danger." Miroku nodded as he entered the hut and re emerged with their weapons.

Realization hit Akurei like a ton of bricks. 'It has to be...that's the only thing that can explain her aura faiding. But I sure hope I'm mistaken...'

"He's biten her..."

Sango and Miroku paled dramaticly, Sango was the first to recover from the shock. However that was not necessarly a good thing, for she grasped Akurei by the sholders and began to shake him violently. "What do you mean 'biten' What the hell is going on, and just how do you know?" Akurei broke free of her grasp, "I know because that is what happens when an aura begins to fade. He is trying to make her his mate." Sango looked like she was about to burst into tears. "However," Akurei began, catching both the attention of the monk and the slayer, "It would seem that this was not done willfully." Miroku took the initiative, "Just what does that mean?" Akurei smirked a bitter smirk, "It means that there is still a chance to reverse the effect." grabbing the necklace around his neck he savegely tore it off as he threw it towards Suteru, "Suteru take care of that, Kibu your comming with me to settle the score with Sesshomaru." His brother nodded and removed his own necklace handing it to Suteru as well. Turning to Rin he grasped her sholders, "Rin I want you to wait here." Rin shook her head, "No Akurei, I'm comming as well." It was Akurei that shock his head this time, "No Rin, it is to dangerous. And I can't garantee that I will be able to keep you out of harms way." Rin opened her mouth to protest, but was stopped when his lips came crashing down on hers, effectivly silencing the words before they even emerged.

His lips were soft, yet firm and silky. A feminine like masqulinity that she never knew could exsist, the kiss itself was sweet and gentle, but it qiuckly escalated into something more intense as he used his tounge to seperate her lips. She couldn't help but gasp at the feel of his tounge on her lips, thus granting him access to make the kiss deeper. She also was powerless to prevent the moan that escaped her when his tounge met hers and carresed it. He took his time releshing her taste and memorizing her every nook and cranny. She was certain that had he not been supporting her they would both be on the floor, and right now that seemed very tempting. Akurei knew that he couldn't keep this up much longer, his demon blood was screaming for him to take her and make her his. Yet, he knew that he couldn't, not yet atleast, not while Sesshomaru was still alive. But the idea was very tempting, her taste was like that of a summer, fresh, clean and sweet. There was no real way to describe it other than the word bliss. Breaking for air he was surprised to find that her scent had changed and was now that of an aroused woman. This only served to make his resolve weaker than it already was, 'Atleast I know she wants me.' Steping back he could see her flushed face and he bought his lips within range of hers once again, "Well finish this later...please Rin I couldn't live with myself if you got hurt. Just promise me." Rin could feel the tears burning her eyes, "Rin promises to stay with Suteru. But be careful..." Akurei smiled as he brought his lips to her for a short kiss, "I have no intention of going anywere. Not until my bussness is settled."

Turning to his brother he nodded, "Suteru take care of Rin. Sango and Miroku-sama, if you wish to save your friend I suggest we hurry." Without waiting for a responce he took of Kibu at his side towards the evil aura that was Sesshomaru. 'I've got you this time Sesshomaru and I'm gonna make sure you suffer for what you did to us.'

MEANWHILE

A sharp pain erupted thru Kagome as she felt a pair of razor sharp fangs pierce the sencetive skin of her neck. She let out a cry of pain as the wound began to throb as it reacted to something. Instinctivly she sent out a purification blast to dislodge whatever had bitten her. The moment the fangs were gone she threw a barrier around herself and turned to face her attacker. She gasped when she saw who it was, "Sesshomaru?" She couldn't believe it, why would he attack her? Inuyasha was no where to be found and she had done nothing to him. Desiding that she wouldn't get a straight answer out of him she decided to use that tactic that Poemi often used when she wanted something. Speaking as fast as possible she questioned him,

"Hey, what the hell is the big idea you trying to pick a fight with me and if so why, what the hell have I done to you you fucking bastard as Inuyasha would say, now explain yourself before I have to go Medieval on you ass."

Sesshomaru suddenly smiled, and to tell the truth it completly and utterly scared the shit out of her. "A woman shouldn't question her mate." Was all he said, Kagome was confused by his responce, "What are you talking about? I never mated with you Sesshomaru! Hell, you couldn't pay me to touch you with a ten-foot pole." This only served to make him smirk, "This Sesshomaru doesn't need your permision to make you my mate. Soon miko, you shall be at my mercy." Now it was Kagome's turn to smirk, "Really?" she questioned, "Do you honestly think that Inuyasha will let you get away with this? As soon as he finds out he'll come after you. And despite what your conceted ass may believe you are no match for him." This effectivly wiped the smirk off Sesshomaru's face, "You are correct miko, that half-breed brother of mine is indeed stronger, but since I cannot destroy him, I will do something much worse..." he paused as his smirk returned, "I'll crush his spirit." He said it in such a low whisper that it made the hairs on the back of Kagome's neck stand on end.

Suddenly Kagome began to feel feverish, falling to her knees she struggled to maintain her barrier in tact. "W-What's happening? Why do I feel so tired? What did you do to me?" Sesshomaru gave a dry chuckle, "Foolish girl, did you honestly think that you could just get away and search for that hanyou brother of mine?" Everything began to spin as Kagome struggled to remain concious, "As we speak poison courses through you body. It will not kill you, but it is strong enough to render you unconcious for a good hour or so. Then when you awaken you shall never again she that hanyou brother of mine." Kagome knew he was right she could see the edges of black surrounding her vision, 'Might as well go out in style...' Gathering enough strenght she stood and pointed both her middle fingers at him before she used Inuyasha's favorite sentence when speaking of Sesshomaru, "Go fuck yourself you stuck up son of a bitch!" A sudden rustle behind her cut off Sesshomaru's retort, he felt the blast of youki before he saw it and was foeced to leap to the side in order to avoid it.

"SESSHOMARU!" Was heard as a man leapt out of the bushes behind her and stood in a defencive stance in front of her. Kagome's dazed eyes brightened with hope, "Inuyasha?" Turning to look at her Kagome realized that it wasn't Inuyasha, but someone that looked almost identical to him. The thing that clenched that he wasn't Inuyasha was the clothes he was wearing. Inuyasha wore a red Fire-rat Hamaka and Haiori, the man that was standing in front of her was wearing a black Hamaka and Haiori with a gold embeded falcon on the back. Above it were engraved the Japanese characters for "Cold-hearted" or Tsumetai to be exact. The man suddenly smiled at her, "Not to worry Kagome-sama. Inuyasha shall be her momentaraly." Kagome was shocked that he knew her name and was about to ask how he knew when a sharp pain erupted throughout her body rendering her unconcious. The moment her barrier dissapered Sesshomaru made his move using his speed he knocked an unsuspecting Akurei out of his path as he made a lunge for Kagome. He would have captured her too, if it were not that he was forced to leap sideways halfway through the junge to avoid the blade that would have decapitated him. Kibu stepped out of the forest Eienha in hand.

"Kibu, quick throw a barrier around yourself and Kagome-sama."

"What do you plan to do?"

"I have a score to settle with our cousin dearest."

Nodding Kibu pointed his sword at his brother, "Then you'll need some protection, just in case... Teikoryoku no Dameji!" A beam of golden light began to surround Akurei as he felt the power of the sword course through his entire body, heightening his sences and sharpening his reflexes. "Thanks Kibu, now put up the barrier. Only take it down when I tell you to. Is that understood?" Kibu nodded as he drove his blade into the ground, "Tsukiyaburenai" A bright blue barrier surrounded both Kibu and Kagome. Sesshomaru's eyebrows rose at the mention of Kibu's name, "Kibu...? Then must make you Akurei. If I remember correctly I slayed you and your worthless family seventy-five years ago. But I was young and weak back then, this Sesshomaru will not be that easy on you this time."

Akurei fell to his knees as the sound of his cynical laughter sounded through the forest. "Too easy? Too Easy! Hahaha Sesshomaru you tried with everything you had to kill us. Killing our parents just wasn't enough was it? Was it you sadistic bastard? No, you had to try and kill us. You first apperently struck me down in the castle, but as fate would have it I didn't die did I. Neither did Kibu, but you desided that we weren't worth soiling your 'Sacrosanct' hand. So you tossed us into a cave, and left us there to die like dogs. Ironic isn't it? We have the same blood coursing through our veins, yet you don't seem to give a shit about anyone except your arrogant ass do you you ungrateful son of a bitch. Yes, I said it. Your mother was a bitch, that's why your father killed her." A cold, almost indefinable flash of loathing pass through Akurei's eyes as his rant grew longer and steadly more agressive, "In the cave I offered to give you my life in exchange for my brother's, but you denied it and proceded to suposedly let us die. What I don't understand is why you insisted on killing Kibu...? He is full-blooded Inu-youkai, so why? He did not deserve what you did to him. But then again you would never know what it was like in there would you. Do you know what it's like to live off rats? Do you know what its like to force your brother do drink your blood so that he could live? DO YOU KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE TO WATCH YOUR OWN MOTHER MURDERED BEFORE YOUR VEY EYES AS SHE TRIED TO PROTECT YOU FROM SOME POWER HUNGRY BASTARD? DO YOU?"

A sudden gasp drew his attention away from Sesshomaru at this noise, he was so enraged that he failed to notice Rin's scent.

"Is it true?"

"Rin? What are you doing her? I thought I told you to stay with Suteru." At that she pointed to the ground were an unconcious Suteru layed. "He passed out from fatige half-way here. Now answer me, is it true?" Akurei sighed as some of his anger began to fade away, "Why don't you ask that asshole?" He snorted as he motioned in the direction of Sesshomaru. Turning to look at him, she hoped it wasn't true. 'How could Rin be thinking something like that, Rin knows that Sesshomaru-sama is cold. But a murderer, surely not.' "Is it true Sesshomaru-sama?" A brief flash of what appered to be regret flashed through Sesshomaru's face, but it was gone before Akurei could acknowledge whether or not he had seen it. "Yes." Akurei had never seen one simple word cause so many emotions to rise, first was shock, then outrage, then anger followed by dissapointment and finally sadness, "Why...?"

Hanyou though he was Akurei barely heard the whispered question. Sesshomaru's face turned frigid as he glared at Rin, "This Sesshomaru does not have to explain himself to the likes of you." Akurei smelled the tears before he saw them. "He made Rin cry...And that is unforgivable!' "YOUR GOING DOWN YOU BASTARD!" He yelled as he charged the tai-youkai.

(Begin Battle Theme:Disturbed's "ENEMY")

Sesshomaru was taken by surprise at the speed the hanyou possesed, as a result he was unable to avoid the fierce blow that connected with the right side of his fice.

I am (enemy), a Number one-rated enemy,

Stumbling back slightly Sesshomaru used the momentum to lauch his own attack on the offending hanyou.

I'm a labeled (enemy), I am your mortal enemy

Stepping to the left using speed that was only know to full blooded youkai, he avoided the strike and brought down his claws in a fierce attack, "Kiritsekeru no Gomon!"

My actions (enemy), Make me your bitter enemy

Sesshomaru however, saw the attach comming and using his own speed leapt backwards, as Akurei's claws connected only with the earth sending debrie flying everywere.

All the world around enemy, (Ow, Ow!) They're tearing up the ground enemy (Ow, Ow!)

Landing elegantly, Sesshomaru was surprised to see a red spot on his normally pure white kimono, the spot was soon followed by another and another. Slowly he brought a hand up to his mouth and was surprised to find a gash. Sesshomaru smirked at the hanyou as he drew his sword, "Its been a long time since this Sesshomaru was made to bleed his own blood, for that you are worthy of being slain."

They're drawn in by the sound (Enemy), enemy, I must eliminate my enemy! (Ow, Ow!) Enemy, (Ow, Ow!) Enemy, (Ow, Ow!) Enemy, (Enemy), I Must eliminate my Enemy!

Drawing his own blade Akurei corrected Sesshomaru's statement, "You are the one that shall be slain Sesshomaru!"

Your people (enemy) My people's hated enemy

Swinging his blade to the left to par Sesshomaru's blade. He then quickly swung to the right, only to be parred. Right, Par. Left Horizantal, Par. Downward Vertical, Par. Faint Left swing to a Right Cross Horizontal Slash, Par.

What are you (enemy), Though a created enemy. Terminate the (enemy) Eradicate the hated enemy.

"FUCK THIS SHIT"He ground out in a growl/yell he swung his sword in a horizontal right to left motion as he chanelled his youki through as crystalized shards shot out and targeted Sesshomaru, "Shi no Fubuki!"

I am an (enemy) My very greatest enemy.

Sesshoamru managed to avoid the shards of crystalized youki, but was surprised when he felt a lone shard penetrate the skin in his bad arm. Reaching to remove it, he was surprised when it exploded, but the surprise was quickly switched for the look of excruciating pain.

Before Sesshomaru could react he charged again, slashing he was greatly satisfied when the blade ripped across Sesshomaru's torso. He could hear Rin's crying and pleading with him to stop, but he was to far gone to be reasoned with. Using the momentum of the slash he turned and insted of facing him, he struck his sword right through Sesshomaru's stomach.

Wanting, love life

Sesshomaru struggled to regain his composure, 'I shall not...be defeated...by a worthless hanyou!' Quickly summoning the special poison that his body made, a poison so powerful, it could kill a dragon in a span of 10 minutes. He struck like a cobra and peirced the skin on the back of the hanyou's neck.

Needing, kill life

Akurei reeled back as he felt a sharp pain in his neck. But as he turned to face Sesshomaru he was struck in the stomach by sesshomaru. Quickly Sesshomaru attacked the hanyou's right temple with a bone shattering right hook. As he stumbled from the blow to the temple, Sesshomaru lanched another hook at his lower left rib. When he swooned to the right from the pain Sesshomaru delievered an uppercut to the chin with enough force to send the hanyou airborne.

Satisfied that the hanyou had been knocked into the air high enough Sesshomaru summoned his light whip and shot it at the defenceless body of Akurei.

Needing, kill your Enemy...

Akurei didn't know where he was, but he could feel the pain as his body was battered from side to side being tossed like a rag doll. Left, Right, Up, Down, Repeat. He didn't know for how long this continued but soon he felt himself just being suspended in air from the final blow. All too soon gravity took it natural control and he felt himself free falling. Everything went black when he felt his body connect with the ground at a bone-shattering force.

Sesshomaru watched snide content as Akurei's listless body connected with the earth in a ground shaking impact that made even him wince. He soon lost his sympathy for the hanyou when he felt the blade in his stomach wedge itself in deeper. Pulling the blade out he tossed it at the hanyou's unconcious form. Luck, it appered was on the half-breed's side for the blade missed his face by centemeters. Turning he retrived his own sword which had fallen from his hand when that hanyou's crystalized youki exploded in his useless arm. "SESSHOMARU!" He turned, expecting to see a roused hanyou, but was surprised when he saw his own worthless hanyou brother instead, "Sesshomaru...where is Kagome?" He inquired. Turning his back to his brother he let only his face turn to the side so he could sneer at his brother, "I have no time for you Inuyasha. I have to terminate this worthless creature then I shall do the same to you." Inuyasha then noticed the growing red spot in his brother's sholder, torso and stomach. Now it was Inuyasha's turn to sneer, "Looks like he did a hella job on you. So how does it feel to be in pain?" Inuyasha was shocked by the look of pure sadism on his brother's face. "It feels good..."

Both Sesshomaru and Inuyasha turned to see that the voice that had answered was not that of Sesshomaru, but of a resurected Akurei. Inuyasha's eyes widdened at the blade that the hanyou held in his hand, a minute ago it had been just another regular blade. But now..., It had transformed into a hellish Fang. The side in which the sharp end of the blade was suppost to be, was instead replaced by a jagged pattern that reminded him of a thing that the men in Kagome's time called a 'saw'. Black flames engulfed the fand as the hanyou brought the blade obove his head, "Mattaku no Zenmetsu..." he roared as he brought the blade down on the earth as the black flames errupted from the ground around them, but as quickly as they appered they banished. Sesshomaru's face which had shown signs of what appered to be fear, were instead replaced by a haughty smirk as Akurei fell to his knees his breathing shallow and labored. "For a moment this Sesshomaru was worried that you were going to attack, but it seems that your attacks are just like you. Weak and Pointless."

"That is were you are wrong Sesshomaru..." the hanyou replied, Inuyasha began to feel that the hanyou's youki was increasing at an alarming rate, Sesshomaru either hadn't noticed or, didn't seem to care. "Nonsence, you will now die. You put up quite a fight I will give you that much, but in the end you were no match for this Sesshomaru." Akurei smirked as his eyes flashed red, "Saseru!" An instant explosion of flames consumed Sesshomaru. "NOW SESSHOMARU YOU SHALL DIE!" Running forward he drew his blade back as to increase the force when he swung it forward to connect with the middle of the pillar of black flames. "Saishu Kiritsu Keru!" In explosion equal to that of a nuclear bomb occured the moment Akurei's transformed blade made contact with the pillar of flames. In the mist of the explosion Akurei and everyone else failed to notice the black ball of energy that escaped the flames after the explosion, but before any fatal damage could be inflicted. The only one to notice was Kagome who had just woken from the effects of the poison. Brushing it off as a side effect of the poison Kagome shakely got to her feet.
No sooner had the smoke cleared that Inuyasha noticed the barrier behind the hanyou that had just destroyed his brother. Looking in he saw a demon and..."KAGOME!" he yelled as he noticed her in the barrier. Kagome began to wonder were she was when she heard her name called (More like yelled) out. She didn't have to even look to know that the voice belonged to her knight in fire-rat clothing. "INUYASHA!" She yelled out walking forward she realised she was in a barrier by the way she was knocked backwards. Turning she saw the demon that was sustaining the barrier, "Let me out or I shall be forced to purify you." The demon opened his eyes and gave her a blank look as he answered her in a monotone voice,
"Not until brother says its safe..."
"LET ME OUT!"
"Not until brother says so..."
"OUT!"
"Not unti..." His reply was cut short as he heard his brother give a strangled cry and collapse to the ground. Forgetting about the barrier Kibu took of towards his injured brother, but was beaten to him by none other than Rin. "Rin...? What are you doing here?" Rin ignored his question as she studied Akurei's prone body, turning his head to the side she was shocked to find puncture wounds in his neck, right below the jugular vein. "Oh no...Kami, Sesshomaru must have injected Akurei with poison. Quick, we need an antidote or else he will die." Just then Sango and Miroku arrived on Kirara, "What happend Rin? Oh Kami-sama what happened to Akurei?" Sango questioned as she and Miroku took of in their direction, completly forgetting about Inuyasha and Kagome, both of which had a look of complete confusion on their faces, "WILL SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON! WHO THE FUCK ARE THEY?" The woman who had been attending Akurei rose and walked over to Inuyasha and bowed apogetically, "I apologize Inuyasha-sama, but Rin is afraid that she can't answer for fear that if we waste anymore time Akurei-sama will die." Inuyasha snorted, "Why the fuck should I care if he lives or dies?" Kagome gasped as she remembered what had happened earlier, "Inuyasha we have to help him, he protected me from Sesshomaru before I lost conciousness." Inuyasha grudgingly agreed. "Fine..., Sango, Miroku get him aboard Kirara and take him to Kaede's she'll know what to do. Rin...I assume your the same Rin that followed Sesshomaru everywere." She nodded, "Good then go with them. I'll go to Jinenjii's house to get some emergency antidote just incase Kaede can't stop the poisoning." Rin bowed deeply, "Thank you Inuyasha-sama. I...I...just...please tell me he'll live." He could already smell the tears that threatened to fall, instictively he got nervous, "I...I-I'm...that is to say...just..." Luckly Kagome took over, "I'm sure he'll be fine Rin-chan. But maybe its best if we get going, you can explain everything after Akurei was it?" Rin nodded, "Good, well you can explain everything after Akurei is safe in Kaede's care." Rin again bowed, "Rin thanks you Kagome-sama." Kagomenodded, but blushed at the praise that the young woman gave her.
As they took of in the air towards the village, Rin riding with Akurei and Sango while Kagome, Miroku, Kibu and Suteru (Yes, he woke up) walked to the village. 'Please live Akurei...I lost Sesshomaru today...I will not let the same happen to you...'

DarkYasha: Well, there we go, chapter 3. I hope you all liked it. (Speaking to about three people who have read the story.)
