InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ It's been too long.. ❯ Ch.5: Someone elses arms ( Chapter 5 )
[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]
Disclaimer: I don't own 'em. Cred goes to the big R.T. Enough said.
Kagome stared off, hoping she'd understand why she came back. She could've just stayed at home, no? Led the life she's been leading for 6 long years. Something could never keep her from here though. In the back of her mind, it was plain as day. She never was one to dig in deep though. A million things where in her mind and in a second they became a blur.
"K.Kagome...?"
Kagome tensed and her eyes grew big. Every single thought in her mind came to a spine breaking hault.
"Kagome..is that you..?"
For some reason, she couldn't say a word. She'd open her mouth, ready to say what she felt. 'Yes, yes Inuyasha. It's really me!' Her heart screamed and her stomach soared but a cold, hard response was all she pushed out.
"..Yeah. Who's askin'."
Kagome mentally scolded herself as she turned to face him slowly. In a second, brown and gold collided for the first time in 6 years. Both of their eyes widened just a little and both felt the same feeling. A feeling undescribeable to anyone but their own hearts. Yet.. things never go that smooth, do they?
"Who's askin'?! I'm asking!" He paused, just to stare at her. She looked so different..but so the same. "Kagome.."
"Hmph." Kagome made an indelicate sound as she stood up,brushing herself off. "Everyone'll tell you when we get back."
His jaw dropped. How could she take this so easily?! She left him for 6 years without a notice. Not once did she even warn them she was going. His Kagome left and now she acted as if it was nothing! He decided not to say a word. He wanted the whole story, no skipping around. He tried so hard to stay mad..he really did. but when he looked at her, nothing could keep the hate he wanted to have for her. Nothing.
And so they walked in silence, back to Kaede's hut. Sideways glancing the whole way.

I t took much longer then expected, but Inuyasha knew everything. He looked at her and couldn't help but smile. After the discussion, things wern't as awkward between Kagome and himself, but still...she left him. Kikyo or no Kikyo.
"Inuyasha"
His ears perked up and he turned towards the young woman calling him.
"I..forgot my arrows. I just came here intuitionally and kind of forgot."
"Keh.."He muttered. "There should be some in Kaede's room." Inuyasha raised an eyebrow. "There's holes in your ears.."
Kagome grinned. "Yeah, they're for hearing."
"Not those smart ass, these." He went up to her and put his finger through her gages. Kagome laughed. "Yeah, I stretched them out and out those in." She pointed to her double zeros. She smiled proudly as she noticed his mouth gape slightly. "That's nothing. I have shit like that all over the fucking place." Inuyasaha's mouth gaped even bigger at her language.
'She really has changed..' he thought to himself. A few minutes later, the gang came back with a basket full of fish. Everyone went outside and sat around the fire.
"So Miss Kagome" Miroku said. "What've you been doing in your time for so long? I mean, after...col..colled..coleg.." Kagome smiled. "College? I became a tattoo artist and then got a record deal..I sing professionally and get alot out of it..." She drifted off when she saw Inuyasha's face. It didn't look thrilled at the topic of her leaving being brought back up. "Sango" Kagome addressed her friend "Would you like to join me in the hotspring?" Sango jumped up at the idea, and burst inside saying she's be ready in a minute. Miroku stood and followed. "She might need help finding her towel." He said with a lecherous grin. So here they were again. Alone.
Inuyasha couldn't get over that she was here. Here again, with him. He sighed. When she left, he went with Kikyo. He knew it was terrible and he knew something was missing. Kagome, to be exact. When he was with Kikyo, nothing was there. The feelings he once had for her were as gone as the once loveing glow in her eyes. The priestess was but nothing then an empty shell. Yes, she showed affection..but it didn't matter. Every moment he spent with her, he would compare with Kagome. Every smile, every laugh, every embrace. Nothing could match up to her in his mind and that's when he gave in to it. Inuyasha loved Kagome, and had just made the biggest mistake of his life.
He wanted to tell her so many things that minute they sat alone at the fire...
"HENTAI!" *SMACK*
Like before..things don't seem to go smooth for them.
