Sango stormed out of the hut carrying two towels and Kagome's black backpack, a new update from her old yellow one. In turn, Miroku slowly walked out bewihnd her, holding the side of his head. "Sango my dear, why so abusive?" He grinned and soon met the ground, dirt to face. Sango smiled an evil smile and turned to Kagome. "Ready?" Kagome stood, harboring an empty feeling. She could've sworn Inuyasha was going to say something to her before Miroku had to go and...'Ugh..maybe it was all in my head.' she told herself as she followed Sango to the spring.

With one sad glance back at him, both women vanished into the wood.

'What the hell..?' Inuyasha knew damn well what that look was. Sadness..Disapointment. He had it everytime Kagome would go back to her own time for those tests or, what was it...school..? Yeah, he knew that look and had a pretty good idea why she had it. He wanted to say it. He wanted to tell her how much he missed her these past years..but nothing could come out.

"Sango, you teaseeee..." Miroku mumbled under his breath as he turned over.

He shook his head, leaned back, and looked up at the stars just in time to see one shoot past. He closed his eyes and wished.

Kagome and Sango arrived at the hotspring. "Ahh" Kagome sighed as she entered. "I've missed this."

“I love the tattoos of the wings the best..” Sango said, gesturing to Kagomes back.

Kagome smiled and stretched. "Maybe some day I’ll fly away with em’. I’m hopein’.” She smiled and stretched.

After a few minutes in silence..

"Inuyasha was affected by this more then you know, Kagome."

She spoke slowly. "What do you mean..?"

Sango took a deep breath and continued. "Inuyasha..he wasn't the same person. I'm just starting to see his old self again now that you're back. When you left, he wasn't around as much. He came back to the village every so often to checkup on everyone, but never stayed long." She paused. "We all assumed he was with..Kikyo. But more then once, she stopped at the village looking for him."

Kagomes heart sank at the word of Kikyo. "Where do you think he went?"

"We're not quite sure, but when he came back those few times he seemed so..lost. He didn't talk much and wasn't as..er, agressive as usual. Miroku tried walking to him about you once before. He just responded in the same way as always."

"Keh" they said in unision. They both giggled a little at the predictability of Inuyasha and soon got quiet.

"Yeah well..fuck it. It's not like it matters now anyways. The past's the past. You live like you can change old shit like that, then you'll never get anywhere now." Kagome's tough exterior folded over.

"He missed you. Like it or not." Sango told her the truth, straight forward. And that's just what Kagome wanted to hear.

"Did he really..?" She asked in little over a whisper.

"More then you know." Her bestfriend, the sister she never had, said.

'Oh Sango, I know..I know..' She looked up at the stars and saw one shoot past. She closed her eyes, and wished.

Miroku woke to see Inuyasha zoned out around the fire. He stood and walked over to him, watching Inuyasha's ears swivle towards him. "What, lech." Miroku grinned. "I can tell what you're thinking, my friend." Inuyasha opened his eyes. "And what's that?"

"If I said Miss Kagome, would I be correct?"

"Keh." Inuyasha closed his eyes again.

“Whatever Inuyasha. I know exactly what you’re thinking.”

By now he was getting a little peeved so he spoke up. “Yeah?! What the hell am I thinkin’ then?”

“Kagome, Inuyasha! You’re thinking of her and don’t deny it. You missed her because you lo...” Inuyasha jumped up and covered his mouth.

“Finish that sentece and I’ll rip your tounge out.” He growled.

Miroku raised his hand in defense and nodded to the aproaching women. ”You’re lucky.” Inuyasha removed his hand and sat back down in his seat.

“What the fuck’s goin’ on over here.” Kagome asked as her and Sango held their towels tightly.

Inuyasha smiled a little at her language and then responded with a ‘keh’, making the two remeber the hotspring and laugh. He raised an eyebrow and shrugged, jumping to his branch on the nearest tree. ‘Whatever..I missed that smile...Wait, what the fuck am I saying?’ He watched the two walk in the hut, still giggling. *sigh* ‘I give up. I know I missed her....I know.’

He thought back on to what Morkou almost said.

With that in mind, he drifted into a deep sleep. A sleep he forgot was possible for six whole years.
