Chapter12Getting ready

Well I'm glad you guys like my story, but I would really like you to give me some tips, I don't mind criticism that much.

Anyway I know this chapter is going to be, how should I say, umm... typical, so don't flame me for it.

Now I end the babbling and start writing.

After Kagome had finally gotten out of bed, she checked on

Shippou and found him sleeping in his room.Seemed like Sesshoumaru had let the matress guys in as he left.

This again brought her to the party.

Formal... she knew very well what he was getting at,he wanted to see her in that particular black dress.

Hmm... maybe I should wear the dark purple one instead...no,

it is way to revealing for a formal dinner party. And Sesshoumaru was definetly going to enjoy it too much to see her in that, so she decided she would go with another one.

Oh Sesshoumaru was sure in for a surprise.

OK, she had a lot of time to kill, until four so she decided to go to some super-market and fill up the kitchen.

Sesshoumaru sighed as he made his way into his company.

First he had dropped off at home to change into one of his light brown business suits and then he got his driver to take his

his black tuxedo and everything else he needed into the limo.

He was going to spend the day at his office, so he would stop

at Kagome's right before the party.

As he was driving to work in the limo, he thought about tonight.

His father, stepmother, Inuyasha, Kykio, Sango, Miroku...all would be there.They were going to get the shock of their life, because

usually he came alone or simply didn't show up.

He already imagined all of the guests being jealous of the godess which would be there with him.

Maybe she'll ware that black dress...mmn...images of her in that dress flashed before his eyes... sure hope so.

As the car suddenly stopped Sesshoumaru got out and entered a

23level high building. The exterior was made out of light blue glass, it looked like a palace of ice. It suited him well.

He took the elevator up to his office passing by surprised faces, they really should learn to expect him every minute by now.He walked into his office and asked his secretary Kagura

to come in.

Sesshoumaru proceeded to tell her she was going to watch the brother of his date tonight and if it would be a problem .

Kagura agreed out of curiosity to know who this woman was who was going out with her boss.If she was dangerous to her hidden operation, she was going to alert her real boss.

Sesshoumaru and his secretary were in front of Kagome's door at 7:50 sharp.

Sesshoumaru had seen to his work until 7 and then changed into his black tux.

Slowly the door opened revealing a very amused Shippou.

Sesshoumaru shot him a curious look as he and Kagura got in

but shrugged it off. The kid was strange afterall.

What Sesshoumaru didn't know was that Shippou was this amused because Kagome had told him she was going to make Sesshoumaru eat out of her palm. Of course a guy like

Sesshoumaru eating out of Kagome's hand seemed to Shippou

as funny as it can get, so he wanted to be there when Sesshoumaru turned into a doggy or chicken.Whatever it was

still confused Shippou, but he would find out soon enough.

Kagome looked at herself in the mirror for the tenth time.

Sesshoumaru wanted to play, well so did she, but she sure as hell wasn't going to let him win .

Slowly she walked out of her room into the living room, where Sesshoumaru stood before a window and a strange woman,

probably his secretary, was talking to Shippou.

Her little friend noticed her instantly and began to jump

around the room.What was it with this kid and hopping?

Sesshoumaru turned around as he heard Shippou start to hop

again.When he saw her his jaw dropped, black looked good on her yes, but this dress was definetly much more suiting to her.

In black she looked like a seductress but in this she looked like an angel who had fallen out of heaven.

She was wearing a light purple dress which showed her every curve.The dress was simple.It was strapless and only clung to her neck by a silver neckless which tied to a white-rose broche at the center of her chest. After this, the dress hugged her full breast, only to show off her slim waist and round hips afterwards.Then it looked like currents of purplish silk exploded.

It didn't show her slim and long legs because here it stopped

clinging to her body and became really wide.It reached the floor.

His eyes looked back up until they reached her face.

Her lips were glowing a light and beautiful pinkish-red, while

her eyes reminded him of the clear summer sky.

Her hair was pulled up in the front only to be kept there by

a pearl-hair-clip.After the shining white pearls her hair cascaded

down freely.

She truly looked like a godess. Blood tainted lips, marine eyes,

soft skin, silky hair, and the body of a nymphe.

Kami, to even dare to consider her his date was too much to

even dream of.

Slowly he walked to her and held his hand out to her.

He saw a blush creeping up her cheeks, and smirked.

Whatever she was wearing, whatever she looked like, she was still the innocent girl which melted his ice-mask.

Kagome looked at him wide-eyed.Long legs, lean body, but still

every muscle was showed by his tux.His silver hair was tied

with a black band .But restly he looked just as perfect as always.

Damn this guy.She had spent 3 hours to look this good, and

he probably just put on his tux and stepped by.

She looked up at his face and noticed his red guilty lips, alabaster skin and amber eyes.He really looked hot.

Then he slowly walked towards her and extended his hand.

She saw him smirk as she blushed at the memory of that

morning.

How could she forget, whatever he looked like, whatever he dressed like, he still remained the total jerk Sesshoumaru.

"Kagome, this is Kagura .She will watch Shippou tonight."

This is just like him, no compliment, nothing.

Kagome took Sesshoumaru's hand and almost blushed again at the contact, if she hadn't turned around to face Kagura.

"Nice to meet you. I'm sure Shippou will behave, right?"

Shippou nodded eagerly.

"I expect you not to hop around either."Kagome then added.

This time Shippou nodded reluctantly.

Sesshoumaru turned to leave and Kagome followed him down

until they reached his limo.Limo,he better explain later.

Just then he told her:

"I'll explain everything at dinner."

As Kagome was about to get in he stopped her, and she looked at him puzzled.

Slowly Sesshoumaru slid his arms around her waist closing the

distance between the two.

He deeply inhaled her sweet scent.Jasmines and thunder-flowers.

He looked deeply into her eyes and then spoke to her in a

soft and gentle voice Kagome never heard him use.

"You are gorgeous, and every person we meet today will be

jealous of your beauty."

Kagome smiled up at him, happy he liked her choice in clothes.

but much happier he did notice her.Then she lightly shook her head.

"You're wrong" she told him in her melodious voice "half the people we meet today, will be women.And every woman who

sees me with you will probably want to kill me for it."

Sesshoumaru gently smiled at her, happy of the answer.

"I'm not going to leave your side,so nobody will dare to touch you, but you have to promise to dance only with me."he told her seriously.

"So I take it, you want a truce for the night?"she asked sweetly.

Sesshoumaru rolled his eyes, but then looked back at her.

"Good, truce .But we have to seal it then."

Kagome's smile grew but she had a small idea about what he wanted to seal it with.

"With what?"she asked innocently.

Instead of answering he bent down and placed a chaste kiss

on her lips, making her feel extremely light-headed.

Fire exploded in their bodies, making them feel like burning on the inside.The kiss was sweet and soft, and they both enjoyed the feeling of eachothers lips.

After they separated, they got into the car still smiling at eachother.

But they were both olivious to a shadowed figure which

watched them leave...
