Chapter23 Trust

Well hello, sorry for not updating sooner I have absolutely no excuse, except of course my new story.

Sesshoumaru looked out the window and found the three persons he shared this house with hugging. Now that Kagome had finaly faced her problems she was helping others face their own.He knew that the kids would never have opened up to him , they would have considered him alien to their problems, alien to their worries and their fears.

They needed someone who was like them , someone who grew along with them, someone who was there for them.

Yes, Kagome was a child in more than one way , but then again she also was a woman.The woman he wanted.

Blinking he fought away his thoughts and turned around only to meet the eyes of his younger sister.

OK, maybe I have to think about this distraction problem.

"Hello Rin what can I do for you?"he asked while walking

towards his desk and sitting down in a very comfy chair.

Rin smiled up at him and then slowly went around his desk and climbed into his lap.She used to do that a lot as a kid,but he really was tired of everybody considering him a fluffy pillow.

"What is it?" he asked her gently.

"When I came into town the other day I first went to your office."she started slowly.

"You didn't go home first?"he interrupted.

Rin looked up at him with a little smile.

"You're home.Now let me finish. I went to the office and overheard a conversation Kagura was having on the phone.

She said something about a plan to destroy you..."

Sesshoumaru looked at her carefully while his mind was already working.

Destroy...thefts at his company... stock going down...none of his business partners calling...everything fell in place.

Anger flared up in him.

" Rin please go and get Kagome." He said in his icy voice.

The little girl instantly got up and ran to get Kagome.

She knew better than to question the decisions of her brother.

Kagura had betrayed him. Who would have thought that somebody, anybody would dare to defy him.

Kagura was nothing else than a little minion, she didn't have the brains to plan something of this magnitude, especially since his company was one of the most solid in Japan.

He had outside branches of his company as well but if this one would be destroyed or taken over the others would follow.

The one who did this had to know that. He had to know of the exact way he had built his companies.

Sesshoumaru had first built up his company in Japan, using the profit he made to built the other companies outside of this country. These companies were still new, especially on a foreign market , so profit would only come after two or three years , when they would be consolidated.Until then these companies used 50% of the intakes of his so called `mother company`.

The only problem in this plan: If the mother company would be destroyed or bought for that matter the other branches would be as well.

Whoever had started this knew that.Now the only point would be to save his other companies and in the meantime take care of his enemies and basic firm.

That's when Kagome came in, literally and metaphoraly.

"You wanted to see me?" she asked. She knew he did, Rin had told her so, but he had never put on this business face with her until now, so she wanted to be sure.

"Yes I did.Please take a seat." He replied in his ice-like business voice.

Kagome nodded and sat down.

"Kagome I need your help." He suddenly started.

Kagome only looked at him bewildert.

" Somebody is threatening my companies."

"I thought you only owned one." She stated.

"In Japan I do, but abroad I own 13 other companies, relativ new companies."he said matter of factly.

Kagome nodded for him to continue.

"This somebody wants to take over my company in Japan.All my other companies are linked to this one so they would be taken over as well if you don't agree to help."

Sesshoumaru waited for her to process the news so far, but he didn't have to wait long.

" You are telling me that your company here financed the others, so they could grow and become solid."

Sesshoumaru nodded. She was smart very smart, but hey, he would have no less.

"Basicly you want me to buy your abroad companies so they would not be harmed if this company goes down."

She wasn't asking a question, but stating a fact and he knew that.

"Yes." He simply answered, getting up to look out the window again.

" This is what I'm asking. Will you do it?"he said with his back turned to her.

He's trusting me! He's really trusting me to take all of his companies and give them back to him! I know he would destroy me if I didn't, but hell that's not the point!

The point is he asked me , trusted me , told me!

Slowly Kagome got up and walked him. When she was behind him she slid her arms around his waist and rested her head against his back.

At first Sesshoumaru tensed when he felt her arms around him but then he relaxed, let himself go. He knew he could only do this with only show a weakness to her, for the truth was he only trusted her.

"I'll do anything in my power to help." She whispered to him.

Sesshoumaru nodded and turned around in her arms, surprising her a little bit. She was more surprised though when he took her to the couch in his office and pulled her in his lap, so her back was facing him.His arms were around her waist keeping her pinned to him.

Slowly he placed light kisses on her hair, ear and neck,

only turn around her head and place a chaste kiss on her lips.

Kagome understood without words what he wanted to do.

He was trying to thank her.The words would never leave him because she knew that to him it was a weakness and he hadn't many of those, but still he did not deny that he needed her.

Turning arund she kissed the tip of his nose and whispered:

"Thank you, for trusting me."
