Disclaimer: Sigh… Do people even read the disclaimers???

Hey people! Sorry for the late update. *coughcoughagaincoughcoug. Well, sorry about but I have been quite busy. My father was sent t the hospital and I had projects and assignments to finish at school. I was unbelievably stressed out. My father being at the hospital and all the damn homework to finish...upcoming exams to study for…exam notes to make…memorizing my drama script lines ugh… life sucks… but I'm not the only person who is having a hard time, I just like to complain xD

Anyways… I might as well start toe chapter now.

Chapter 20… Oh WAIT! Before I start that…
Here's what happened last time ^^

. "NO! DON'T TOUCH ME!!! LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" Everyone backed away as the girl covered herself with the blanket and shivered. Not from the cold but from the terror. The tall man walked closer and the girl started to cry. Everyone in the room looked confused and worried.

"Rin? What's wrong?" the girl didn't answer just avoided the tall man's touch as he reached out for her. "Please." She sobbed. "Leave me alone." No one knew what to do anymore so they just left the room all expect for the doctor and nurses. Sesshoumaru had no idea went just happened. Neither did her parents.

"Inuyasha." She said as she walked closer to him.

"What do you want?"

"I bring you news about Kagome's whereabouts." Inuyasha's eyes got wide as she stared at Kikyo to see if she was lying.

"She is with Kouga going to Naraku's lair. Kagome is walking into a trap right now. You can go and save her if you want but it would be futile."

"Why are you doing this?" Inuyasha asked. Kikyo looked at him and smiled.

"I don't want Naraku to win, but I don't like Kagome. I'm not heartless I just dislike some people. But I want Naraku to go down." Inuyasha nodded.

"Follow me and I will bring you to his lair." Inuyasha nodded again and they were off.

I think that's enough xD

Oh wait… ONE MORE THING!!! THIS IS IMPORTANT!!! IN CHAPTER 7, NARAKU SAID HIS MAIN FOCUS WAS ON KAGOME AND THE SHIKON SHARD. I MEANT JEWEL!!! Sorry about the mistake. It should be fixed now…

And now! THE NEXT CHAPTER!!!

Chapter 20

Towards their destination.

(Rin's POV)

Why wouldn't they leave me alone? What did they want from me? People dressed in white kept matching into the room and asking if I was alright. I think I'm alright, I just don't know where I am. The room doesn't look familiar and neither did anything else. Every time I tried to get up, I was forced back onto the… bed? At least that what I think they called it. That man was always outside the window of my room. He was the only one I remembered. Why was he here? Has he come to kill me again?

The people told me I have to stay in the hospital? For a few more days until I get better. I can't stay here with that man here. I have to get out of here…

"Kouga, you still haven't answered where we were going. I'm tired too… Are we almost there?" Kagome said as they continued walking. After leaving the tunnel, they were in this forest that was close to the mountains.

"Don't worry… you'll see…"He replied as they dodged through the branches and reached the mountains. Kagome stared at the mountains and looked back to Kouga. "Don't tell me we-"

"Yup, we are going up there." Kagome blinked and started walking back. "I'm not fond of heights Kouga…" She replied as she inched herself away from the mountains and back into the forest until Kouga grabbed her arm.

"Don't worry; we aren't going to climb it. There's a teleporter at the bottom of the mountain." He said and started walking towards the mountains, dragging Kagome along.

"If you say so Sonaki…" Kouga stopped in his tracks and turned to face her. "Kagome… can you do me a favour? Call me Kouga, that's my real name, Sonaki was just my… other name." Kagome looked at Kouga and nods. "Ok So-I mean Kouga." She smiled. "It may take awhile to remember that since I'm so use to calling you Sonaki." Kouga nodded and they continued to make their way to the mountains.

~*~*~*~

"Why are we at the mountains?"

"Because Naraku's Castle is here."

"You sure?" Inuyasha asked, eyeing Kikyo. "You better not be lying. We have been walking for so many fucking hours!" Kikyo smile gently at Inuyasha. "I told you, I will do anything to help you Inuyasha. It's because I love you." Inuyasha frowned when she said those three words again. He wasn't sure if he would ever be able to return the favour. Sure he `did' like Kikyo during one time but someone has been on his mind lately…

"Inuyasha…." He looked at Kikyo as they walked towards the mountains.

"What?"

"Why are you coming here? I know I already asked that question several times but…" Kikyo stopped and gazed towards the mountains. Knowing she wouldn't continue, Inuyasha decided to speak.

"I promised her." Kikyo looked back at Inuyasha. "Promise?" Inuyasha nodded and continued on." She was in a depression, crying her eyes out. I just couldn't stand there. I told her that-anyways, it was a promise and I decided that I won't break it." Kikyo nodded and continued walking. After walking for several moments Kikyo stopped and motion Inuyasha to do the same.

"What are you doing? We aren't at his lair so why did you stop?" Kikyo covered his mouth to shush him and she walked forward to the mountain side. Squinting, Inuyasha could see that one spot was a darker shade of grey. It was only slightly darker so can hardly be noticed unless you were looking for it.

"So that's the entrance isn't it?" Inuyasha stated. Kikyo nodded and dropped her bag onto the ground. Inuyasha peered down into her bag to see what she was looking for when she stood up.

"What did you get out of the bag?"

"Something that would open the door. What else would I get?" She replied.

"Looks like a dinky flashlight. You actually think would open the stupid door?" Kikyo didn't reply but she turned on the `flashlight' and shined the border of the darker shade of grey. She then turned the `flashlight' off and placed it into her pocket.

"Lets go." Inuyasha gave her a confused look. "That flashlight didn't do shit. The mountain looks the same." Kikyo sighed and just walked towards the mountain. Inuyasha stood there watching what she was doing. As Kikyo reached the mountain, she walked right through it! As if it was invisible in the first place!

"What the fuck? The mountain was invisible?"

"No, just the laser beam that I shined around the border made it invisible. It's the only way to get through and if you don't hurry up, the door will close on you." Without being told the second time, Inuyasha chased after Kikyo.

"OW! MIROKU! That's my FOOT!!!" Sango screamed as quietly as she could.

"Sorry dear, it's just so hard walking around like this."

"Shhh… they stopped! Hide!" Sango and Miroku quickly ducked behind a bush and peered through the bush to see what was going on.

"Why do you think Inuyasha and Kikyo are doing here?

"How should I know? It better not be what I think it is because my feet are killing me!!! Now hush Miroku!" Miroku smiled at her and looked ahead.

"What are they saying? I can't hear them." Whispered Miroku.

"Neither can I, should we get closer?" He nodded and they crawled over to the next bush and the next, one by one and as quietly as they could. Sango stepped on a twig and it made a small snapping sound. `Oops…'

Sango quickly got behind the bush and ducked her head, trying to cover herself. Miroku was doing the same. When nothing happened they looked up only to see Kikyo and Inuyasha walk right through the wall. Miroku rubbed his eyes and blinked. "Is it just me… or did I just see Inuyasha walk through the wall?" Sango shook her head. "I saw it too… What does that mean?" They got up and run towards the area where Inuyasha and Kikyo went through……only to crash right into the wall of the mountain. Falling onto their butt, they look at the mountain with confusion.

"W-w-what just happened?" Sango asked. "I was pretty sure Inuyasha just walked through here!" Miroku got p and placed his hands onto the mountain's surface. "It's solid… Just like a mountain suppose to be…" He turned back to Sango. "Do you suppose we were only imagining what we saw?

Sango shook her head. "I was pretty sure what I saw was real…" Sango also got up and started to examine the wall. "Hmm… there has to be something…. Maybe a secret button somewhere?" Sango started to check behind trees and on the mountain walls, feeling for any sign of a button. Miroku decided to help her and started looking too.

"And what do we have here?" He said to himself and picked it up from the ground. "Hey Sango! I think I found something interesting!!!"

~*~*~*~

Inuyasha and Kikyo started walking on this old dirt trail, everywhere he looked, there was no sign that someone was living here. Dead trees around, no grass, sky was clouded and it was dark… REALLY dark. Inuyasha checked his watch.

"9:14PM… no wonder it's dark…" He mumbled as he walked.

"Here it is… Naraku is beyond these doors. Inuyasha, are you prepared?"

"Just open the stupid doors. I'll be fine." Kikyo gave him an uneasy look and opened the doors. Or at least tried to. The doors wouldn't budge.

"What are you doing? I said open the stupid doors!"

"You don't think I'm trying? It won't open!!!" Inuyasha pushed her back so he could grab the doorknobs and give it a yank. It was true, the door wouldn't open.

"Now what?" Inuyasha grumbled as he slammed his fist against the door and tried to open it again. "Why would it open?" He gritted out. "Inuyasha slammed the door and yelled out. "NARAKU!!! If you're in there, OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR!!!" He was answered by silences until he heard a faint laugh. Inuyasha growled and grabbed the knobs again trying to open them. "NARAKU!!! STOP BEING SUCH A COWARD AND OPEN THE STUPID FUCKING DOOR!!!" Just then, the door swung open to Inuyasha's surprise. Kikyo just blinked and peered inside of the lair. `Still looks the same.' She thought and walked into the lair with Inuyasha following her.

"You think he's here?" Inuyasha asked as they continued moving forward. Kikyo nodded. "He wouldn't be anywhere else." She replied. Kikyo suddenly stopped and turned to face Inuyasha.

"Wait here while I go on ahead. Naraku still thinks I am loyal to him. So it will be better if you just wait here for awhile." Inuyasha shook his head. "I want to kill Naraku and his so called `pet' right now. Who knows what the fuck they could do to Kagome." Kikyo smiled sadly at Inuyasha's response. `He's doing all this for Kagome and yet she's with Kouga. I wonder if he knows that. He should but…'

"Inuyasha?" Kikyo said softly. Inuyasha turned to face her. "Yeah? What?"

"Why?"

"Why? What the hell are you talking about? Why what?"

"Why are you doing all this for Kagome? Do you not know that she is in love with Kouga?" Inuyasha felt as if his blood froze at those words but he tried to ignore it.

"I don't want Kagome to die because…….she's my……" Inuyasha looked ahead and started walking. "Because she's my friend." Kikyo saw the hurt in his eyes but didn't bother saying anything. `He's in the same situation as I am.' She thought sadly as she followed him.

`As long as he's happy and lives on, then I think I can deal with that…'

~*~*~*~

"What did you fins Miroku?" Sango asked as she walked towards him and peered into his hands. "A flashlight? Where did you find that?" Miroku shrugged. "I think Kikyo may have dropped it. Maybe it can show us where the door is?" Sango laughed. "Why does this remind me of The Legend of Zelda game? What's the flashlight? The lens of truth that sees though illusions?" Miroku just smiled. "You played that game too huh? Man… that game was fun." Miroku shined the `flashlight' onto the wall of the mountain, moving it around to see if any secret doorway were to be found. Sadly, nothing appeared to their eyes.

"I knew it wasn't going to work. There's no such thing was the lens of truth anyways… It was just a game." Sango grumbled.

"Hey! IT COULD have been true, you never know my darling!"

"Stop calling me darling!" She sighed angrily. "Man… I think we're lost… stuck in a forest that's next to a mountain…god… Miroku do something instead of just standing there!" She shoved him slightly so he could focus on what he was saying.

Surprisingly, Miroku fell right through the wall of the mountain. Sango blinked. Had see just saw what she just saw?

"Miroku? Miroku? Where are you?" Miroku stuck his head out of the wall. "Over here… it seems as if we somehow managed to get through…" Sango nodded and walked towards the wall. "This is pretty cool… don't you think so?" Miroku nodded.

"Hey what's that?" Miroku looked to where Sango was pointing to. It was a machine.

"If it's what I think it is… I think it's a machine."

"I know it's a machine Miroku! You didn't have to tell me THAT!!!" She stood on the platform and jumped on it. "Hmm… nothing…" Miroku got onto the platform as well. "Maybe we were supposed to bring something here?" Sango shrugged. "Not sure, might as well get off this thing." She said as she took a step forward only to be blinded by a bright blue light. "Gah! Miroku? What is this light?" Miroku didn't answer her and she had to cover her eyes from the bright light.

When the light faded away, Sango slowly removed her hands and opened her eyes. She was surprised to where she saw around her. "Miroku? Where are we?" Miroku looked around and got off the platform. "It's certainly isn't the place where we were 15 seconds ago…"

"Kagome, we are almost there. The teleporter is just around this side of the mountain." Kagome nodded and continued to follow Kouga.

<Why are you doing this?> Kagome stopped in her tracks.

`Huh? Who's talking to me?'

<It's Devil. Angel just went to bed cause she was tired.>

`I see….'

<You didn't answer me. Why are you doing this?>

`Because Kouga said he-`

<Because Kouga said to right? So does this mean if Kouga told you to go kill yourself, would you?>

`Kouga would never tell me to kill myself! Besides… I'm dead already…'

<Are you? What does it mean to live Kagome? Does living only involve to people who have actually bodies?>

`………'

<Bodies are nothing without a spirit, a soul… That's what makes each person unique and different. I don't have a body, does that make me dead?>

`I… don't know….'

<You shouldn't be here Kagome! I'm just warning you.>

"Wait! What do you mean just warning me? Warning me about what?"

"What are you saying Kagome? What warning?"

Kagome blinked… "Oops… did I just say that out loud?" She laughed slightly. Forget about that Kouga, it's nothing." Kouga nodded and continued walking forward.

`I wonder what she meant….' Kagome thought sadly. `What warning? What was the whole conversation about anyways?' Kagome signed and followed Kouga. `I'll think about that later…'

"Kagome, we are here."

"Really?" She let out a breath of relief. "Thank the heavens! I'm tired!!! Can we please have a break?" Kouga nodded and sat down onto the grass. Kagome sat down on a stump and waved her hand around.

After a few minutes Kouga got up and asked if she was ready. Kagome nodded. Kouga reached into his pocket and took out something.

"What is that So-Kouga?" Kagome asked.

"It's some sort of laser beam." He turned it on and shined it around the mountain. Kagome blinked and watched him and the mountain. Nothing happened.

"Ok… Let's go."

"Uh… Kouga…nothing happened…." Kagome said.

"Don't worry, something did." He grabbed her hand and helped her up and they both walked into the mountain.

"Oh wow! That's so cool! That's an amazing flashlight!!!" Kagome squealed. Kouga laughed and they continued walking until they reached the teleporter. "So… this is the teleporter thingy?" Kagome asked, looking around. Kouga nodded and went towards the wall beside the platform.

`Someone already used this… But who…?' Kouga thought as he examined the wall more closely. The teleporter was already turned ON but Kouga remembered leaving it off when he left the lair.

`Kikyo must have come back early from her mission.' He thought finally.

"Kouga! What are you doing?" Kagome asked as she as she walked up to glace on the wall.

"I'm not doing anything! Just stand on the platform and we're ready to ok." He replied. Kagome nodded and walked back to the platform and stood there.

"Here?" Kouga nodded and stood on the platform as well and stepped on the button near the edge of the platform.

Soon they were covered in a bright blue light and Kagome covered her eyes with her arms. "Kouga? What is this bluelight?" Kagome asked as the blue light started to fade.

"It's nothing…..so don't worry about it. Now Kagome I want you to keep your eye closed because I want this to be a surprise for you." Kagome didn't remove her arms and nodded and Kouga took out a piece of cloth from his pocket. Using the cloth he covered Kagome's eyes so she couldn't see anything.

"You ready?" He asked and Kagome nodded and they slowly made their way on the old dirt trial.
