InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Itazura no Kiss II ❯ Kurama vs Sango ( Chapter 6 )

[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

A/n: wasn't that chapter sad? You should try reading the flashback with the song “Here Without You” by 3 Doors Down. I love that song. Anywho, in this chapter, Miroku gets really agitated with Kurama. The first two strikes were fine, until the 3rd one. Jeez, what a scene. Oh yeah, to all you Sango-fans, sorry. She's my favorite character too, I just didn't want her to just sit there and watch Miroku and Kurama. She had to do something, you know?

Chapter Six: Kurama vs. Sango

The next day, Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango and Shippo were still staying at the palace. I had to say, I enjoyed having the company…well all except Sango.

“Hey Kagome,” I said as I munched on the odd cup of ramen I was eating. “This ramen is the best.” I'm sure I wasn't the only one who thought so. I could see Inuyasha was practically making-out with it.

“Kami, Inuyasha slow down.” Kagome said, laughing. We were all sitting in my room on the floor. I could tell by the look on Sango's face that she didn't like me one bit. I bet it was because of that whole episode with Miroku-chan. She shot me an evil glare, and I shot her one right on back.

Miroku noticed this and looked at me. he mouthed words to me. Let's talk somewhere, he said. I nodded and got up. “We'll be back.” I said. Then me and Miroku walked off.

I ran my fingers through my hair. “What is it you wanted to talk to me about?” I asked. He looked at me. “Sango seems to be somewhat angry.” I laughed sarcastically. “Really? I hadn't noticed.” He looked at me seriously and I stopped being sarcastic. “Why do you think that is?” I then just busted out laughing. “I don't know and I don't care. I just don't like her.” Miroku looked at me as if he was irritated.
STRIKE ONE

“Look at those two…” Sango said through gritted teeth. She along with Inuyasha, Kgaome and Shippo were all watching Miroku-san and I from the window. “If they like eachother SO much, why don't they just go get married? KAMI!” Kagome sweatdropped. “Easy there, Sango.” Sango shoved Kagome's hand off of her. “I hate that girl!”

Throughout the whole day, there was tension between Sango and I. Whenever we passed eachother in the hallways, we would shove eachother. Or whenever our eyes met, we'd either make faces our mouth nasty things to eachother. If that bitch hates me, I hate that bitch too.

“Miroku, you seem to have a spell around those two.” Inuyasha said with a laugh. Miroku looked away from him. “Not really. I just think Sango is getting all worked up over nothing. I mean, Kurama's just a friend.” Then I walked in. “Tea anyone?” Inuyasha looked at me. “Nope, but sit down. I need to talk to you.” I sat down reluctantly. I definitely knew where this was going.

Inuyasha really didn't beat around the bush. He just cut right to the chase.

“Do you dislike Sango?” I shifted in my seat. “What do you think?” Inuyasha looked at me sharply. “I think you do.” I nodded. “Okay then. And it really isn't a dislike. It's a strong hate.” Miroku looked at me angrily. “How could you hate her?” I smiled. “Easy. You just-” Miroku cut me off. “That's not what I meant and you know it.”
STRIKE TWO

Later on, we all went to a festival someone in my village was holding.

“Welcome, Milady.” A young girl said. I kneeled down to her. “Thank you. These are my friends: Miroku, Kagome, Inuyasha, Shippo and Sango.” I think Sango knew I put her name last deliberately. But oh well. Who cares, really?

The festival was starting to get really bland. Then Kagome had an idea. She said she would use her walkman and her speakers and play some music from her time. Don't ask me what a walkman is.

“Okay, now all I do is press play!” Kagome did as she said and pressed a small triangular button on that doohickey of hers. Before I knew it, music was playing.

When you walk away
You don't hear me say
Please, oh baby
Don't go
Simple and clean is the way that you're making me feel
Tonight
And it's hard to let it go

As Kagome and I danced together, I listened to the words. They made complete sense to me.

You're giving me
Too many things
Lately
You're all I need
You smiled at me
And said…

Don't get me wrong, I love you
But does that mean I have to meet your father?
And when we're older you'll understand
What I meant when I said
“No, I don't think life is quite that simple.”

I held my fan close to me and listened closely to the lyrics. They were making me sad, I admit, but I actually liked the song.

When you walk away
You don't hear me say
Please, oh baby
Don't go
Simple and clean is the way that you're making me feel
Tonight
And it's hard to let it go

When I was dancing, I felt something bump me…hard. I turned around and it was that witch, Sango. “Oh, did I do that?” She asked sarcastically. I noticed she had a cup of sake in her hands. I bumped her back and the sake spilled all over her. “Oh, did I do that?” Then she got really mad. She pushed me back and I almost fell. “You wanna fight, Kurama? Then I'll fight you.” I unsheathed Kiamu, but then sheathed her back. “Not here,” I dragged her off into a clearing, and I made sure Kirara didn't follow us, either.

“Okay,” I said as I unsheathed my sword, “We can fight now.” I glanced at the word engraved on it. Ai... this sword was meant for love…but who care, right?

“Let's do it.” But our battle was interrupted before it even started. “WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING?” I heard Miroku's voice made me jump. “Dammit, Sango! There's nothing going on!” I smirked as he scolded her. “And what are you laughing at? You were planning to kill her, weren't you?” I rolled my eyes. “She started it!” Miroku was obviously irritated with my childish remark. “You're such a… spoiled brat!”
STRIKE THREE

Well that whole Inuyasha-breaking-the-barrier thing failed…really bad. And it wasn't just that I couldn't get him to break the barrier, it was the fact that Miroku was my friend, and Sango just had to get in the way.

“Your guests left already, Kurama?” I nodded to mother sadly from across the long table. “Yeah, and they left angry, too.” My mother rose and walked over to me. “What happened?” I sighed. “See, there was this monk. I befriended him, and his fiancé or whatever was got really mad, so the monk thought it was my fault and they all left.” I stood up. “I'm going for a walk.”

I walked down the trail that led out of my territory. I just needed some time away from my royal destiny.

I stopped walking and looked at the sky. It was purple, pink, and orange. Pretty…I cocked my head at an angle so that I could see it better. The clouds looked purplish from down here. “Sister…I feel you watching down on me.” I stood up straight and kept walking.
