A/N: Hey, thanks to u guys who reviewed!! I really appreciate it!!!

I realize that some people love it when Inuyasha and Kagome become a couple, but I think even more people love it when they have their little fights. I think I'll wait with the coupling for a while, well…..maybe not for Sango and Miroku, cuz they're destined to be together, no matter how lecherous Miroku is. Enjoy!!! ^_^!!!!

Just a Note to Say…..

Not Alone

Chapter 2

Kagome followed Rin out the door just to find more tables and even more thick yellow lines to separate the students. Rin was awfully sweet and Kagome appreciated it, but she wasn't exactly in the most perfect of moods to make friends at the moment.

`I wonder if Sango's as miserable as I am?' she wondered. But her thoughts were interrupted when she heard some girl talking to her.

"Hey." Kagome turned to see the girl named Eri standing behind her. Kagome forced a smile and returned the greeting, "Hi."

"My name's Eri, these are my friends Ayumi and Yuka." The two girls smiled and greeted Kagome happily.

"My name's Kagome," she said vaguely. Eri smiled politely and her and her friends walked away.

Kagome wanted to be left alone, but she also didn't. She was afraid that she wouldn't make friends. She changed her mood a bit, put on a smile and called Eri's name.

"Hi, I'm sorry about that, I was just a little upset that I wasn't in the same group as my best friend." "That's gotta suck. Sorry." Kagome waved away her apology.

"So," Ayumi said, "you're musically gifted obviously if you're in this section. What instrument do you play?" Kagome was somewhat happy that she was having a conversation this easily. Hopefully Sango was making friends too.

"I play piano. I've been taking lessons for about six years." Yuka smiled, "Wow, that's impressive. I play violin, but I've only been playing for two years." Kagome smiled.

"What about you, Ayumi?"

Ayumi's attention seemed to be directed at something else, but when she heard her name she came to. "Sorry, what did you say?" Kagome chuckled, "What were you looking at?" She turned her head, but saw nothing but the boy with the amber eyes talking to another boy she didn't know.

"Were you staring at that guy, again, Ayumi?" Eri asked exasperatedly. Ayumi blushed slightly and nodded. Kagome looked at him again and rolled her eyes.

"What so great looking about him?" she asked. "Hello?" Ayumi said waving her hand in Kagome's face, "He's utterly gorgeous!" Kagome and Eri began to laugh. Yuka patted Ayumi on the back. "Oh please," Eri managed to say, "everyone knows Kouga's the hottest!" Kagome raised her eyebrows. "Who's Kouga?"

Eri gasped and clung onto Yuka's arm so she wouldn't faint. "You don't know who Kouga is?" Yuka asked her eyes wide in wonderment. Kagome shook her head and laughed nervously, "Uh…nope." Ayumi put an arm around Kagome's neck and Yuka and Eri moved in closer to hear what she was going to say. "If you think I'm weird `cause I like him. Than you're psycho." Kagome moved away slightly so Ayumi's arm would move from around her neck.

"I'll find out," Kagome said proudly. But Eri, Yuka and Ayumi just sniggered.

"Hey, Kagome!" Kagome turned around to face a rather excited looking Rin. "Hi, what's the matter?" Rin inhaled and opened her mouth, "I was just wondering, would you want to share a dorm with me?" Kagome smiled, "I'd love to!" Rin smiled and hugged Kagome. Kagome thought this was kind of awkward since she barely knew Rin, but she thought she was just being excited so she returned the hug and they both became bouncy with excitement. Eri, Yuka and Ayumi decided to get the dorm next to Kagome's and Rin's so the five of them could hang out together.

"We're gonna have a great time together," Rin said to the four other excited teenagers. They all squealed in delight as they began to talk about music again.

`Wow, I've only been here less than an hour and I've already made friends! Maybe this isn't going to be as bad as I thought it was going to be!'

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Sango sat by herself on the bench, her suitcase and baskets of art supplies lying beside her ankles.

`When will we be able to go to our dorms?' she wondered.

She looked around at the groups of artists, sharing their works of art and just talking. Sango was beginning to feel left out, until she noticed another girl sitting by herself at the table across from her. Never normally being the shy one, Sango got up and walked over to the girl.

"Hi," Sango said happily. The girl looked up at Sango, her brown hair hanging over her face. "Hi," she said, pulling her hair back into a messy ponytail.

"How come you're by yourself?" Sango asked the girl. "I was sent to a different group than my friends, and I'm by myself. What about you? How come you're alone?" Sango chuckled, "Exact same reason actually." The girl smiled.

"My name's Ayame, what about you?" "Sango." The two girls smiled at each other. "What kind of art do you do?" Ayame asked. "Well, normally I do nature scenes, but lately I've been trying to do portraits of people. What about you?" "That's really weird," she said with a laugh. "Why?" "'Cause I do portraits and I've been trying to do nature scenes." Sango laughed and so did Ayame. "What a coincidence." Sango nodded. "Do you paint, use charcoal…" "Oh, I just used pencil, I never paint. I only use pencil and maybe sometimes I'll use pastels. I'm rather picky with what I use." Sango leaned her head from side to side. "I'm somewhat picky with what I use to. Ugh! I hate charcoal! I always end up getting it all over my face. And I'm not a perfect artist anyway. Before something ends up right, I make about fifty thousand adjustments." Ayame laughed, "That's pretty much the same here. I really dislike charcoal."

Sango was actually surprised that she met a girl who is so much similar to herself.

`Maybe this will be a great year after all.'

Sango and Ayame continued to talk. Normally Sango would make Ayame laugh, and when Ayame would start laughing, so would Sango.

"Hey, Sango, I was just wondering. Would you maybe consider sharing a dorm room with me?" Sango smiled widely, "Yeah, that'd be great!"

The two girls began to talk about their other friends and what groups they were put into and things like that.

"Ah, Sango, my dear."

Sango's eyes widened. She turned around and saw Miroku looking down on her, smiling.

"Ok, first thing Miroku, I barely even know you, so don't call me `dear.' And two! You went digging through my stuff!!" Miroku smirked and shrugged his shoulders.

"I don't have any idea what you're talking about."

Ayame smiled as she stared at the two. She was finding great enjoyment out of this.

"If you don't know what I mean, how come you have a pair of my underwear in your back pocket?" Ayame burst out in laughter. And Miroku smiled. "What underwear are you referring about?" Sango's face was turning red. "Oh, I don't know, the red pair that are sticking out of your pocket!" Sango reached forward and grabbed the red panties hanging out of his pocket.

Ayame almost off the bench laughing. Miroku was smirking, holding himself from laughing. And Sango was blushing fiercely.

"Oh, those underwear!" Miroku confessed. "Those are my girlfriend's." "Really?" Sango questioned, "Well, is your girlfriend's name `Sango'?"

Sango held up the underwear so that in black writing you could read the name `Sango' on the front.

Miroku blushed, but then asked, "Why do you have your name on them?" Sango began to blush.

"That's none of your business!" Miroku sat on the bench beside Sango. But Sango faced her back towards him, purposely whipping him in the face with her hair. Miroku grimaced slightly but said, "You smell lovely, what brand of shampoo do you use?" Sango flushed with anger. "Oh, go away Miroku!" she yelled. "But I want to make you blush more, you look absolutely radiant when your cheeks are drowned in pink," Miroku smirked as he spoke, making Ayame continue to choke on her laughter.

"I said `leave' Miroku," she repeated, not even bothering to turn around and say it to his face.

Miroku just slid closer to Sango on the bench, "Aw, come on Sango. Don't you want to get to know me first?" Sango briefly shook her head, hoping that if she didn't say anything he would finally leave her alone.

Miroku got up and stood in front of Sango, so he could see her face easily.

"Ok, well. I am a portrait painter of women," he winked at Sango, causing her to blush, "and I like to paint. Now what about you, Sango my sweet?" "I'll wring your neck if you call me, `sweet' or `dear' or anything like that. Now go away!" Miroku didn't even budge. He just stared anxiously at Sango's face. She looked up at him and he gazed into her eyes.

"What are you looking at?" she snapped. "Hmm….I was just wondering how you'd look in one of my paintings." Sango blushed and shielded her face from his glance with her hand.

"I bet you'd look good underneath the waterfall by the sakura tree." Sango's eyes widened and she turned around to face him. "Miroku," she said. "Yes," he answered. "LEAVE!!" she screamed.

Miroku smiled, "Yes, my dearest." He sat beside her and leaned forward, so his mouth was next to her ear. She shuddered when she felt his warm breath against her neck.

"Here's something to remember me by." Sango didn't know what to expect. Until she felt his hand on her butt.

"HENTAI!" she screamed and she slapped him across the face and left for another table.

Miroku rubbed his red cheek and congratulated himself for making her blush as many times as he did.

He said goodbye to Ayame then left and began to talk to a boy named Hayou.

Ayame got up and sat beside Sango at the next table. She put her hand on Sango's shoulder and smiled.

"I think you have yourself an admirer," she chuckled. Sango blushed.

"He's nothing but a lecher!" she spat.

"Yeah, I guess. But Sango, you have to admit, he was kinda cute." Sango nodded.

"Yeah, but that's where the compliments end."
