AN: IM SORRY!!!!!…. I haven’t updated in almost a year… but I was busy after I updated last and after a while the fanfic just sort of slipped from my mind! So in my defense I have short-term memory loss! But I’m going to write another chapter now!

Disclaimer: I don’t own Inuyasha…. and I’ve missed the show for almost a month now so I’m kind of behind!!! I know it’s horrible!

Dedication: To all my reviewers! Thank you so much for the reviews and I’m very glad you liked it! Its been what? 6 months? Not as bad as I thought it was….

Kagome sat in detention that afternoon thinking about the day. It had been horrible. Besides the fact that she (and Inuyasha) we’re the laughing stock of the school, they had a science test and the teacher made her take it, her hair kept getting stuck on things because of all the honey, and she got kicked out of class five times! And of course, she couldn’t forget the added bonus of being stuck in detention until four thirty with Inuyasha glaring at her back. The detention room was also the math room so the only things to look at were math equations that, after a while started to hurt Kagome’s head.

Hardly any teachers handed out detention. Most students were either really good and never got sent there or they did something horrible and got suspended. So, Kagome and Inuyasha were the only ones there. The teacher that was supervising had left to get coffee and he actually expected both of them to stay there. At the exact same moment after the teacher had left the room, Kagome and Inuyasha stood up and started walking towards the door. They glared at each other but kept walking. They both reached the door at the same time even though Inuyasha was farther away (Longer legs…)
Kagome smiled sweetly and said in the most obviously fake happy voice Inuyasha had ever heard, “Ladies first,” shoved him over and walked out the door.

Kagome walked down the hall towards her locker to get her homework. Just then she was struck by the greatest idea but, it meant she would have to break into the school, unless she wanted to risk getting caught.
She crept into her science classroom and headed over to the window. It was an older window that slid up instead of pushing out. Kagome grabbed a ruler form the teacher’s desk and slid it under the window so she could open it from the outside when she broke in. She knew what she was doing. She’d had to do this at her old school to hand in an assignment. Her teacher had been evil and was going to fail her because he said she hadn’t handed in her work, which was true, but Kagome told him she had and that he’d probably lost it so she brought it there during the night!

Kagome crept back out of the room looking both ways down the ugly beige hallway to make sure the teacher wasn’t coming. She made it out of the school without being caught and headed home.

The next day Kagome walked to school with Sango. It was getting colder and would probably start to snow soon. There were Christmas decorations on most of the houses they walked by.

“Guess what I did!” Kagome asked Sango extraordinarily excited. “Ooohh! Tell me! Did you do something to Inuyasha again? You know he’s really nice once you get to know him.”
Kagome sighed. She had already been over this with her. “I already told you, he started it, he brought this completely on himself! Well, anyways I was going to tell you what I did but, I think I’ll just let you find out for yourself now,” Kagome grinned evilly.

“That’s not fair!” Sango whined, “You said you’d tell me!!!!”
Kagome laughed, “That was before… but I’m sure you’d rather see this first.”

They were just walking into the school as Kagome said this and Sango looked up. The walls were plastered with pictures of Inuyasha as a toddler sucking his thumb. He was wearing a diaper with a giant safety pin in the side and had little pigtails in with little bows. His mother obviously had been a child torturer. Below the pictures it said, “It’s the Almighty Inuyasha!”

Sango squealed with laughter but Kagome just grinned, “There’s more,” she said in her most sinister tone.
Sango and Kagome kept on walking down the hallway towards Inuyasha’s locker. Luck for them there was a classroom right across from it. They snuck inside and watched for him through the frosted window. Eventually they saw “The Almighty Inuyasha,” storm down the hallway carrying a bunch of torn up flyers with him. He looked angrier than Sango had ever seen him before. She was actually scared for Kagome.
“Oh look, look!” Kagome whispered to Sango. Inuyasha was just unlocking his locker. He obviously wasn’t expecting anything because when he opened his locker and dolls fell out all over him he had the most surprised, angry, terrified (of dolls!) look on his face! Kagome quickly jumped out of the classroom and snapped a shot of Inuyasha. Inuyasha was seeing spots and couldn’t tell who had taken the picture. He swore he would find out by the end of the day and trash that person’s camera. He took all the remaining dolls out of his locker. Dolls gave him the creeps. Constantly staring at you, it got disturbing after a while.

Inuyasha walked to his first period class, well, more like stormed down the hall shoving people out of the way as he went getting dirty looks from everyone. He had a pretty good Idea of who had done this and he was going to give her a piece of his mind.
‘She’s only doing this to get a reaction out of me… what if I didn’t do anything? Hmmm and then she won’t expect a prank from me! That’s a great idea Inuyasha!’ Inuyasha complimented himself on his brilliant idea and started skipping to class (Not helping his “bad boy” appearance much eh?! lol.) When he got to class all he did was sit down at his desk happily and stare straight at the black board in an attempt to ignore everyone asking him questions and Kagome and Sango whispering about him.
Class started and in walked Mr. Sayoto. He obviously was not in a good mood today. His face was contorted into an angry glare and he slammed his briefcase and books on the desk and stared the class down for staring at him. Kagome and Sango started giggling about something and he sent them an extremely dirty look. When he turned around and started writing on the board, Kagome and Sango got out of their seats silently and started crawling towards the door. Inuyasha and Miroku were giving them weird looks as they left asking them silently what they were doing. They just grinned and continued moving. They opened the door as quietly as possible but it squeaked. Luckily Mr. Sayoto was in such a bad mood that the chalk kept snapping and he started hitting the chalkboard so he didn’t notice. Once they were out they headed for the office. They were eventually going to leave school but decided they would save the rest of the class from having to be tortured all morning. Once they arrived at the office they peaked in the window and looked around.

Sango whispered to Kagome, “We’re going to take control of the PA system but we’ll only have a few minutes before teachers come rushing in and catch us so 1) we’ll have to disguise our voices and 2) we’ll have to get out without being caught,”
Kagome nodded that she understood, “What are we going to say over the PA?” She asked.
Sango stared off into the distance for a moment. She really wasn’t quite sure but then a great idea popped into her head. “ We could say that there’s a gas leak in the basement and get everyone to evacuate the building!”
Kagome thought the idea over for a moment until something occurred to her that obviously hadn’t occurred to Sango. “Sango,” she said not wanting to crush Sango’s great idea, “um, we don’t have a basement here.”
Sango grinned ‘Ok,’ Kagome thought, ‘maybe the idea had occurred to her.’
“I know,” She said cheerily, “ But, when we say that there’s a gas leak in the basement, no one’s going to think “in what basement?” everyone’s going to think, “I don’t want to die! Or something along those lines anyways.”
Kagome just smiled at Sango’s brilliance. If someone had told her there was a gas leak in her school basement in a totally serious voice she probably would believe them and not ask any questions.
“So how do we get control of the PA system with all the secretaries in there?” Kagome asked. She knew Sango obviously had a solution but just hadn’t filled her in on anything yet.
“That’s simple,” she said, “ all we say is that the principal saw us in the hall and asked us to come down and tell them there was an important staff meeting in the teachers lounge and that they are required immediately!”
Kagome was amazed again at Sango’s brilliance but brushed it off as common sense this time.
The walked into the office and rushed over to the secretary’s desk. “The Principal passed by us in the hall and asked us to ask you to go to the teachers lounge for a staff meeting right away!” Kagome said quite convincingly. The secretary looked at her weird for a moment wondering why there would be a staff meeting right in the middle of first period but then nodded and walked out.
“Now that we’ve taken care of the secretary, we can take care of everyone else!” Sango piped up cheerfully. They walked into the principal’s office and turned on the PA system. Sango plugged her nose and talked in a low nasally voice.
“We have just been informed that there is a dangerous gas leak in the school basement. The school must be evacuated immediately. Please direct your classes to the nearest exit. Thank you.” Sango turned of the system, turned around and glared at Kagome. While Sango was doing the announcement, Kagome could barley contain her laughter and almost gave them away.

They walked quickly out of the office trying to not look conspicuous and blend in with the crowd. As soon as they were outside they ran to the fence and jumped it. They were free of school! Out in the fresh air, the smell of autumn in the breeze. ‘Nothing could be better.’ Thought Kagome, ‘well, nothing except the fact that a have an enemy who probably wants to kill me right about now and is definitely going to get back at me for what I did today.’ Kagome sighed; besides Inuyasha her life was perfect right now.

Sango and Kagome walked down the street towards Shikon Lake. It was the most popular park in town and had the most beautiful gardens. Kagome had never been there before because she was new so Sango gave her the grand tour. The park wasn’t a park with swings or anything like that. It was more like a giant overgrown garden so they strayed from the path and started exploring.

They spent the rest of their day walking around the park. At about 6 they headed home for dinner. When Kagome arrived home she headed straight up to her room to listen to music. She fell asleep listening to music and lay there peacefully until her mom walked knocked on the door. She woke up and invited her mom in.
“Kagome,” her mom said quietly, so quietly that Kagome could barely hear her, “I have to tell you something.”
“What is it mom,” Kagome asked her concerned. Her mom wasn’t usually the serious talk kind of person.
“Your old enough to know this now and I’ve been putting It off for a long time but I can’t put it off any longer. Kagome, you’re adopted.”

Kagome just stared at her mother. No not her mother, her…she didn’t know what. That was probably the last thing she was expecting to hear. Her life had been going so perfect! And now her mom had to go and jump this on her!
Her mother continued to explain, “I adopted you when you were 6, you had amnesia, but the doctors wouldn’t tell me why, they said it was personal information to the family… to you. They decided it would be best if I didn’t know so the never told me. You seemed to have no memory of your mother or father, or anything for that matter,”

Kagome couldn’t take in all this at once she had to think for a while, “I have to think,” she told her mother quietly, “don’t worry, I’ll be back.” And Kagome walked out of her house. She headed for the park and started wandering around aimlessly. Eventually, she crawled through some bushes towards the actual Shikon Lake. She just sat there for a long time leaning against the tree thinking. She heard a quiet rustling in the bush behind her and turned around.
“Kagome?…
