As Inuyasha watched Kanyusumi sleep he noticed how much she was exactly like him. This foolish wench is not as innocent as Kagome was, Inuyasha thought as he looked at a blue book on the small table next to her. What the hell is this? He picked it up, and recognized it as a journal, similar to the one Kagome had. Intrigued by his curiosity he started to read it.

There is not much to the life here as I thought there was.

I long to go back to the feudal era, but how can I?

The man with long black hair will try to kill me again, for I know too much.

Kikyo may be worried about me, but at least she knows I am safe. I think.

No one must know who or what I am, or the man with hair like death will use me as his own. So no. I cannot go back, no matter how much I want to. I just can't. I have already hurt those I love by leaving, and there weren't many who loved me at all. So I will stay here.

Inuyasha stared in astonishment. That bitch is talking about Naraku! She has to come back with me! He placed the book on the table and glanced outside. The sun was up over the horizon, which meant she was going to wake up soon. He stood up and cracked open the window when he heard her wake up.

“What the hell are you doing in my room!” She yelled.

“How the hell do you know Kikyo?” He yelled back, but smelled tears quickly after. “Wait a second Kanyusumi I didn't…..” He trailed off.

“Why did you read my book Inuyasha?” She whispered so low, no one but Inuyasha could hear.

“I know Kikyo because.....I used to work with her to heal others and the Shikon jewel.”

“WHAT!!!” Inuyasha collapsed on the floor. Jumping up again and gathering himself together he said, “Now that is it wench. You are coming back to the feudal era with me to defeat Naraku and get the Shikon jewel shard back!”

“You broke it!” She screamed at the top of her lungs and went on, “I can't believe you! Why do you even need my help if you were such an ass to have lost it!”

“The truth is…Kagome helped me and now that she isn't coming back I really need someone like you, so stop freaking out over it and get the hell going!”

“I can't go back….” She trailed off.

“Why because some idiot tried to kill you and no one liked you?! That is what goes on with me all the time!”

“Then…..okay. I will go with you Inuyasha, as long as you treat me with respect. I am not so easy to run off either.”

Kanyusumi stood up, smoothed her hair and wrote a letter to her `mom' saying where she will be going and thanking her for caring for her when she was down. Inuyasha looked at her, stuck in his own thoughts. She smells so good, but I just…can't say anything just because it is mating season. She and I hardly even know each other and I feel like I have known her for forever. Maybe she is going to be my redemption….Oh hell! I can't say anything to her, not yet anyways.

As Inuyasha fought with his instincts, Kanyusumi was thinking long and hard as well. God he is so hot…. Hell! I am probably only feeling like this for mating season. If he really loves me he will tell me when he is ready. I wasn't given the power of emotions to play around. Shaking her head she broke the silence.

“Are you ready Inuyasha?”

“Keh, yeah I guess so.”

“Then lets go.”

They took turns jumping out the window and headed for the well. Kanyusumi gasped at how strange it was going down the well, but was even more surprised when Inuyasha grabbed her waist. Looking at her again he blushed and released her.

“Sorry wench.”

As they jumped out of the well, Kanyusumi looked around. The scents, the sounds, the touch, everything felt right, as if there was never a hole in her heart. They walked on, Kanyusumi enjoyed every moment. Then she broke into a run. It was as if she could run again, and have no worries, only freedom. That is, until she smacked into someone.

“I am so sorry Miss.” Looking up, a man with short black hair stumbled a bit after the crash.

“No it was my fault.” Inuyasha caught up with her and replied, “Miroku this is Kanyusumi, and she is the newest member to our group.”

So everyone what did you think of today's chapter? Now that Kanyusumi is being introduced to Inuyasha's friends, and I showed how she felt towards him, lets start heating up the fire now with some lemons with Inuyasha and Kanyusumi.
