Chapter 2

"Kikyo, what are you doing here?"

Kikyo stepped out from behind the tree, walking with her usual unearthly grace.

"I have come to give you a proposition."

"What kind of proposition?" Kagome asked suspiciously.

"I propose we switch our bodies, to see if Inuyasha can tell that we have. This will last 7 days, then we will confront him

and make him choose between us."

"How could we do this to Inuyasha!?! How am I supposed to trust you after you tried to kill me?"

"You can't be sure, but if you don't do this, Inuyasha will keep hurting you."

"Alright Kikyo, lets do it, but we switch back in a week. Agreed?"

"Fine, now take my hands and start to chant."

"What should I chant?"

"Whatever comes to mind."

"With that Kagome started to chant words that she had never heard in her life,

but understood. They had been chanting for awhile when Kagome started to see a glow from around Kikyo and

herself. It was like nothing she had ever seen before, beautiful and eery all at once.
Strangely it reminded her of Kikyo. The light had started glowing brighter and she started to feel unconnected to her

body, almost like it wasn't even hers.

When she looked at her hands it was as though she was looking from a outsiders view-point. She began to float (If you

can call it that) farther away from her body.

'Kikyo's probably feeling the same way." Kagome thought.

After what seemed like hours (But was only 10 minutes),her soul slammed

against Kikyo's body. She wanted to scream but her throat had already gone bone dry, kinda like she was mute. Her eyes opened, but they weren't her's,
not really anyway. She looked up at the figure by her and was shocked to see not Kikyo, but her! 'I really shouldn't be surprised, we were trying to switch bodies, but seeing yourself standing next to you is a bit shocking.'

"Ki-Kikyo?"

"Yes, who else would it be?"

"I-I'm not sure, I just got surprised that’s all."

"Yes, yes I know. Now, I will go with Inuyasha and the others while you are to
stay in the forest. You may see Inuyasha when he comes, but do not come to the
village. We will meet at the God tree in seven days alright?"

"Fine, as long as you don't tell him its you."

"Agreed, so you shan't do that either."

"Go Kikyo, the others will come looking for you soon,so you have to get back."

Kikyo in Kagome's body, walked back to the village.
