Chapter 4
Kagome watched his form until he totally disappeared. Finally she let the tears she had been holding back run down her cheeks,
not even bothering to wipe them away. Briefly she recalled their fight earlier.........
Flashback
"Inuyasha, would you like some dinner? I made it especially for you."
"Feh, is it ramen?"
"Well no."
"Then I don't want it. Plus Kikyo would probably make it better." He muttered
the last part and wasn't intending her to hear, but she did anyway.
She dropped the food and ran away weeping.
End of Flashback
'Now that I think back on that, I realize how petty our fights were' Thought
Kagome sadly.

Inuyasha had been leaping from tree to tree, but now he had
stopped a little before the village to collect his thoughts.
'Kagome and Kikyo were acting very strange today. They're probably conspiring against me, just to confuse me further.' he shook his head,
dismissing any other thoughts.
Heading back to the village he was stopped by Shippo.
"Jeez, what is up with you brat?"
"Inuyasha, why is Kagome acting so cold? Did you do anything to her?"
"W-why do you always assume I did something?"
"Because you always do."
"Feh! I don't know what could be wrong with her, I didn't do anything."
"Yes Inuyasha, we have also been wondering about lady Kagome." Said Miroku
walking out of the bushes with Sango.
"Do you always have to spy on me Houshi?"
"Yes, its our only form of entertainment here." While Miroku said this his hand was edging its way slightly south of Sango's body. When it got to its destination, he gave it a little squeeze.
Shortly afterwards they were looking at an unconscious monk.
"When will he learn?" Shippo asked.
"I think, never!" Said a still fuming Sango.
'At least they forgot about me." Inuyasha thought, smiling inwardly.
"Now Inuyasha, why is Kagome acting so strange?"
'Damn!' He sighed "Sango, I really don't know why. Now can you guys just get off my back!?!"
"Fine, but if you find out what's wrong with her, then you better tell me."
"Yeah, yeah, I know or else I'll end up like the monk over there."
Sango smiled "You better not forget it." Then she turned and walked
back to the village. Inuyasha and Shippo followed her, leaving Miroku to nap.
Inuyasha saw Kagome and immediately sat next to her. He gave her a smile
which she did not return.
"Kagome, what’s wrong?"
"Nothing Inuyasha, I'm just tired."
"Oh, if that’s all." Said Inuyasha, relief washing over him "Why don't you go to
bed now then?"
"Alright." With that she went into the hut and fell asleep.
Inuyasha just jumped into a tree and fell into a light slumber.
