Me: -still in Inu's arms- Sigh. I love this.
Kagome: You know you can let go of her right now, InuYasha...
InuYasha: No I can't.
Kagome: You can!
InuYasha: NO I CAN'T ! SHE HAS CONTROL OF ME!
Me: -sigh- I love being an authoress...

DIS: ME NO OWN!

Previously:
I waited patiently for my utter demise.
I'm sorry.” And everything went dark.
Wait. Everything was already dark, I had my eyes closed. I opened then slowly to see InuYasha standing in front of me with a pile of clay at his feet. (-really grins big-)
“Inu-” But I was cut off, and you know by what? InuYasha's lips. Yep, he kissed me.
---
I didn't know what to do really, I loved him with all my being but… Why was he kissing me?
I felt him deepen the kiss trying his best to get me to kiss him back. His arms even circled around me and pulled me to him closer than any human could ever be. Having Hanyou strength and all, I don't even thing Myoga could have squeezed through. I let a moan slip, as I thought of that, Damn him don't come at a time like this.
When I felt his hands make circling motions on my back that was it, I didn't care anymore he was mine.
I wrapped my arms around him in a desperate way to tell him to continue. I reached up towards his head and grabbed the base of both ears. My fingers curled against the soft outer part, as her thumbs pressed against the silky inner part and just as I started rubbing I felt his body slightly jerked and he drew away from my mouth. I thought I did something wrong and pulled my hands away from InuYasha's ears. Earning a whimper from him.
He pressed his forehead against mine and nuzzled my face letting a choked whimper issue forth. So I placed my hands back at him ears, and as soon as I touched them he started placing small delicate kisses all over my face. As I started to rub more and more and he got more frantic.
He started kissing cheeks, then my eyelids, which were closed, the bridge of my nose, and when I decided to put more of my theory to work. I placed my fingers to he top of his ears, slowly gliding down to the base where I scratched where his ears met his head and before I could tease them any longer he pulled me into a kiss that I would never forget.
He lowered his head to close that little space left between us and I met his lips eagerly which revolved in a passion filled kiss. A gasp escaped me when I felt his tongue slide across my bottom lip then giving it a playful nip. I could barely comparent a single thought as I opened up for him. It didn't take long for him just to dive into my mouth almost greedily. My arms snaked down his head to swathe around his neck, pulling him closer to me, if that was even possible and pressed my lips harder to his.
When we broke away I say staring up at him, somehow we decided to kiss on the ground I figured, I couldn't really recall.
He looked so wild; his pupils were almost covering the golden hue of his eyes and they were trained on one thing. Me.
“I-Inu-” Damn, he really needs me to at least finish his name before he kisses me.
When he pulled back I kept my eyes closed and just lessened to the sound of our mangled breathing. I couldn't look into those eyes again but the temptation was too overwhelming. But what if I could never see him like that again, the only thing he was thinking of was me. And I liked it that way.
I opened my eyes just to see him staring at me again. I managed to drunkenly smile at him.
Our position were getting to me I was lying flat on my back with InuYasha looming over me his elbows by my shoulders, and his knees by my hips. I was propped up by my elbows resulting in out chests were pressed tightly together.
But I couldn't think about our position right now, all I could do is just kept on staring into his eyes.
I could see everything in them. And I finally think that the spell, for him, was wearing off because I saw shock in his eyes most of all before fear. `Oh gods, please don't make him regret anything.' I thought.
Once I saw the insecurity washed over him I couldn't help but smile a little. I pulled his face towards mine again and gave him a small peck. My head falling to the ground with a `plop'
“InuYasha,” I was glad my voice didn't crack, “I love you.”
And if you could see the look on his face right now you would probably burst out laughing, no matter how cute he looked.
I couldn't help but just to stare at him, watching him bask in happiness. A small giggle placing forth as I stared. He was grinning almost ear to ear, and, considering where his ears were situated, it was quite a feat of muscular achievement. (AHHHH! I LOVE THAT QUOTE!)
Before I could comment on his expression I found myself in that air, being twirled around by InuYasha. And also to my shock his musical laughter filled the meadow.
By the time he stopped twirling me, I still felt like he was. You know, like when you get off a rollercoaster and feel like you're still going.
He looked at me smiling. Just smiling. Even if that was all he did I knew, I knew he loved me back but he toped it off by telling me.
“I love you too, KA-GO-ME.” He broke my name into syllables just like I did when we first met. I couldn't help it… I threw my head back and laughed. Laughed at all my pain I had gone through, all my misery, because right now I would go through it all again just to hear him say it again.
“Say it again.” I whispered. `Please, please say it again.'
“I love you.” He said smiling.
“Again.”
“I love you.”
“Again.”
“I love you, Kagome Higurashi!” I closed the little space between us and kissed him with all I had.
“Gods, Kagome.” InuYasha nuzzled the top of my head when we finnished kissing. “I love you so much.”
“I luv moo, two.” I mumbled into his haori.
I felt him chuckle. “Common, let's go to camp.”
He tried to grab me but I ducked out of his arms. He looked at me questionably.
I grinned slyly. “Catch me if you can, koinu!” I heard him growl and I took off running through the woods.
When we got to camp I was surprised to see everyone awake, except Shippou who was in my sleeping bag.
“Kagome-chan!” Sango gushed out running to me, “Are you ok?” I was in InuYasha's arms so that's why she probably thought I was injured.
“I'm fine, San-”
“Why would the wrench be hurt?” InuYasha cut in, I looked up at him confusingly. He wouldn't look me in the eye. `W-What?'
“Oh, maybe because… YOU'RE ALWAYS HURTING HER!” Sango yelled.
“I do not! She always gets into trouble! It's her damn fault!”
“She gets into trouble because of you! She worries about you all the time!”
“She has no reason to give a damn about me!”
“Sango-chan…” I mumbled before she could cut in. “I just want to go to bed please.”
She nodded and slapped InuYasha's arms away, while picking me up. (Dang… Sango's strong.)
She strode towards my sleeping bag and placed me into it. “Goodnight, little sister.”
She walked to Kirara who was waiting patiently for her and Miroku who was already lying down. Away from the woman with a boomerang on steroids.
I took Shippou into my arms and he mumbled something I couldn't hear. I saw that my boom-box was next to me.
`Hmm…' I searched through my CD's to find a certain one.
Cannot touch, Cannot hold, Cannot be together
Cannot love, Cannot kiss, Cannot love each other
Must be strong and we must let go
Cannot say what our hearts must know”
Not a word was said around the fire. Everybody was pretty much content to just listen to the song I had chosen.
How can I not love you
What do I tell my heart
When do I not want you here in my arms
How does one walk away
From all of the memories
How do I not miss you when you are gone”
I didn't know if they knew if I was singing… and I really didn't care. I just kept on singing.
“Cannot dream, Cannot share sweet and tender moments
Cannot tell how we feel, Must pretend it's over
Must be brave and we must go on, Must not say
What we've known all long”
I heard another voice join the chorus, `Sango-chan…'
How can I not love you
What do I tell my heart
When do I not want you here in my arms
How does one walk away
From all of the memories
How do I not miss you when you are gone
How can I not love you”
`Why InuYasha? Why do you kiss me breathless one moment, and insult me the next? I'm so confused…'

“Must be brave and we must be strong
Cannot say what we've known all long
How can I not love you
What do I tell my heart
When do I not want you here in my arms
How does one walks away
From all of the memories
How do I not miss you when you are gone”
So tired… Must sleep… Snore…
How can I not love you
When you are gone
I turned in my sleeping bag trying to block out the light. `Stupid sun…'
“Many humans have done that before Kagome-sama. It still doesn't take the sun from the sky.” I heard Miroku's voice say.
“Ermmm…” I mumbled out, sitting up from my sleeping bag. “Wha?”
“I said, many humans have done that before Kagome-sama. It still doesn't take the sun from the sky.”
“Ya, ya, ya…” I got up from my bag, making sure Shippou wasn't disturbed, and walked toward the fire. In which Miroku was watching.
“InuYasha went to check the trails, and Sango's still asleep.” He looked at me, “We were pretty scared last night, Kagome-sama. Sango was ranting on about talking the trees down.”
I managed to yawn. “I'm sorry, Miroku. I'll make sure next time I'll tell one of you guys before I go off.”
“Ok, Kagome-sama.” He nodded and I went to my bag to get breakfast. `Ugh… ramen again.' I sighed, `Maybe we'll pass by a village today.' I was almost tempted not to eat this morning.
When I returned to Miroku I gave him an Energy Bar. He liked those.
“Thank you, Kagome-sama.” He said, gratefully and I nodded, “Maybe we'll pass a village today…” He mumbled.
I knew what I wanted from the village, a nice meal… and I probably knew what Miroku wanted too. Women.
I rolled my eyes and started to heat the water for InuYasha's ramen. My stomach growled and I ate an Energy Bar. `Yuck… I hate Energy Bars...'
“Good morning, Lady Sango.” I heard Miroku say.
“Good morn-”
-WACK-
“HENTAI!” She screamed.
I giggled and then sighed. “Kagome-chan?”
I looked to Sango, “Hai?”
“You ok?” I could never get past Sango.
“Hai.” She stared at me as if saying, `You're gonna tell me sooner or later.'
I nodded and poured InuYasha's ramen. “Sango-chan, want some?”
“No thanks, I'll eat an Energy Bar.” She hated them as much as I did.
I sighed again, it seems I'm doing that a lot today. I heard InuYasha walk out from the woods.
“There's a village down the mountain, if we travel quickly we'll reach there by mid'noon. Then we'll all take a rest.”
I looked up at him questionably, as did Miroku and Sango or you could say they were gaping…
“Well, InuYasha that's very generous.” Miroku stated breaking from his shock.
“Ya… That's not like you.” Sango nodded.
“Feh, well… humans are so weak. You all look like starving rats.”
“Well anyway, InuYasha. Thank you.” I mumbled out, `I love you, Kagome Higurashi!'
`Damn! Where did that come from!' I looked around needlessly.
“You ok, Kagome-chan?” Sango's worried voice broke through my daze.'
`Agh, I'm going crazy…' I shook my head, “I'm fine, Sango-chan. Just tired.”
She looked unsure but nodded anyway. “You can ride with Kirara and I, ok?”
“Sur-”
“No, I'm going to take the wench.”
I snapped my head up to meet InuYasha's gaze. Golden lava-- I quickly looked away at Sango. Damn his eyes.
“You want to go with him Kagome-chan?”
“Umm…”
`I love you, Kagome Higurashi!'
“Why not?” I finished, `Now I'll get some answers from him.' I seethed silently, `He's not going to get away with this.'
Sango must have seen my expression because she grinned, “Ok,” and turned to Miroku, “You try anything and Kirara will drop you off. In the air.” She finished, glaring at him.
He gulped, “Why yes, Lady Sango.”
I giggled and walked over towards Shippou. I lifted him up gently and he turned in my arms to get closer to me. `Shh, my baby boy. Dream of clouds and magic until you waken into this cruel reality.' I kissed his forehead and gave him to Sango.
“Don't wake him up if you can help it.” I whispered and turned back towards my sleeping bag. When I was finished rolling it up I grabbed one of the ties and then I saw a clawed hand grab the second one. I smiled slightly and finished tying.
When we were finished I took the sleeping bag from his arms and packed in into my pack. I looked around, nobody was here except InuYasha and me. `Where are th-'
“I'm sorry.” I turn swiftly and stared at InuYasha my previous thoughts gone.
“What ar-”
He looked at me with pain filled eyes, “I-I'm sorry.”
At my nod he continued. “All my life I've been treated with the lowest respect because of my blood. I've been fighting for life ever since I was born and it seems that everybody I get close to, I lose.” I felt tears build up in my eyes, “I don't want to lose you, too. I lost mother that way.” Damn, him. He had to tell me about his mother. I can't stay mad at him now… “I've made a lot of enemies, Kagome. Some who will do terrible things to see me in pain.” He took a step towards me. Trying his best to explain. “They will come to take you away from me Kagome. It's best if we forget… forget everything.”
“No.” I stated, glaring at him. “You are not going out into the world with only scorn and hatred as companions.” I looked away almost shyly, “Don't you remember last night?” At his gulp I continued, “I will not forget that InuYasha. When that's what I've wanted to hear from you for a long, long while now.”
“Kagome…”
I shook my head almost angrily, “NO, InuYasha! I will not let you grow old and die without the thought of being loved. Your mother…” I gulped, “Your mother had a very good reason to love you.”
I could feel him break… and I was right there to catch him. “Shh...”
I saw his shoulders shake and I went to him immediately.
I placed my hands on his shoulders. "InuYasha," I whispered softly, lovingly, "I understand." He grunted softly, and I could feel the tension in his shoulders.
He tried to turn his head away from me, and I gently cupped his chin with my hand. His eyes were a dull bronze, as he stared at me. Tears freely falling down his face, his eyes were so deep and full of pain and fear that I stared in amazement.
I lowered his head down and pressed my forehead to his. I was glad he didn't resist.
“I love you.”
At his cry I wrapped my arms around him even more tightly.
“I love you InuYasha.”
His eyes bore into mine begging me to say it again. To make him believe. To tell him this wasn't a lie.
“I love you so much InuYasha. I will never leave you.” He wrapped his arms around my waist and pressed his face tightly against my collarbone. “We've faced so much InuYasha. We've seen Hell and defeated it, and I never had a doubt in you. I love you because you are InuYasha. My rash, passionate, powerful, confident, loving, gentle, handsome hanyou InuYasha.”
He just stood there in my arms, wrapped his hands tighter around me, and I returned the embrace. “Shh, you don't need to say anything.”
He shook violently now, as his cries became louder and more painful.
"I miss her." his muffled voice cried and I bent my head down and I ran my fingertips along his ear gently to soothing him
"I know Inuyasha," I whispered gently in his ear
"I killed her, I'm the one to blame..." he sobbed.
“No!” I felt him wince and I lowered the volume. “You didn't kill her. She's still here... in your heart.” I moved my hands from his ears to his heart. “She's still here watching out for you. As long as you love her she will always be with you because she loves you, too.”
“K-Kagome…” His pained voice finally came through his exterior after awhile.
I smiled at him. “My mother told me that when father died… She always said that he was in my heart and no one or anything could ever change that.”
He pulled back to look into my eyes, “I can't stop you can I?”
“No.” I said firmly.
“Not even if-”
“No.” I said nose to nose with him. “Nothing you say can change my decision.”
He stared into my eyes as if he was trying to find something, and when he did a light shined in his eyes as he bent down and kissed me.
“Mumph…” I sighed happily and kissed him back. `Oh, how I love you InuYasha.'
When it ended I suddenly found myself in air. “Inu-YASHA!”
He laughed, genuinely laughed, and I strangely found myself laughing with him.
“Kagome, we're gonna have to start now if we want to catch up with Sango and Miroku!”
I laughed freely and threw my arms up when InuYasha jumped higher into the air. `OH! This is so much fun! I never really took the time to just feel the wind in my hair in a long time have I?' (I just LOVE that! I used to ride my horse all the time to just feel the wind in my hair. -sigh- I miss that so much…)
“Whatcha laughing at, wench?” I was so giddy at the moment I even laughed at his `wench' comment.
“I'm just feeling the wind in my hair, InuYasha.” He jumped higher into the air, so high in fact we skimmed the roof of the trees. I saw a peek of the sun.
“Do it again!” I screamed joyously. I heard him chuckle.
“Hold on tight!” I didn't though, I knew he wouldn't drop me.
When he jumped you could already feel it was a jump to go high, not long. I stared into the sky, “It's so beautiful…” As I felt us slowly falling down thanks to gravity, InuYasha jumped onto a branch stopped. I was panting and grinning ear to ear even though I wasn't even running.
`Ear to ear.' I giggled at my thoughts, `That reminds me of last night.' I pictured InuYasha's grinning face.
I laughed full out and almost fell out of in grip.
“What?” He half-heartedly glared at me over his shoulder.
“I just remembered your grin last night.” I drew, with my pointer fingers, over my face from my lips to my ears. “You were grinning ear to ear.”
“So?”
“Look where your ears are, dog-boy.” I placed my hand to his ears and started rubbing them. He purred.
Then all of a sudden he started jumping and I yelped out.
“Oi! Wench! My ears are right there you know!”
“Sorry,” I whispered into his ears, they flicked. I smiled. “but you could have warned me.”
“Keh.”
After awhile of jumping I just watched the trees pass us by. `So pretty…'
“Kagome?” I heard InuYasha's voice for the first time in an hour or so.
“Hmm?” I mumbled looking at him dazed.
“Can… um, will you sing a song?” An embarrassed InuYasha asked. I blinked.
“I don't like my voice that much InuYasha...”
“Please?” Wow. He said please.
“S-Sure.” I stuttered out slowly.
There's a song that inside of my soul
It's the one that I've tried to write over and over again
I'm awake in the infinite cold,
But you sing to me over and over and over again
So I lay my head back down,
And I lift my hands and pray to be only yours
I pray to be only yours
I know now you're my
Only hope.”
His ears were turned to me, listening to me sing. I blushed heavily. InuYasha was listening to me sing. Only me. I gulped repeatedly.
Sing to me the song of the stars
Of your galaxy dancing and laughing and laughing again
When it feels like my dreams are so far,
Sing to me of the plans that you have for me over again
So I lay my head back down,
And I lift my hands and pray to be only yours
I pray to be only yours
I know now you're my
Only hope.”
I closed my eyes and spread my arms out as I sang.
I give you my destiny
I'm giving you all of me
I want your symphony
Singing in all that I am
At the top of my lungs,
I'm giving it back
So I lay my head back down,
And I lift my hands and pray to be only yours
I pray to be only yours
I pray to be only yours
I know now you're my
Only hope.”
I finished breathing slowly, and I leaned my head down on InuYasha's shoulder.
“You were really good, Kagome.”
I blushed, “Thank you.”
And for once he didn't have a witty response.
I closed my eyes again as I sang my favorite part of the song again.
Sing to me the song of the stars
Of your galaxy dancing and laughing and laughing again
When it feels like my dreams are so far,
Sing to me of the plans that you have for me over again
So I lay my head back down,
And I lift my hands and pray to be only yours
I pray to be only yours
I know now you're my
Only hope.”
“Kagome.”
“Yes, InuYasha?” I looked at him.
“We have a few more minuets before we see the village.” He whispered and stopped, placing me to my feet.
“So?”
“Do-Do you really--” I silenced him with my finger.
“Yes InuYasha. I will not leave you. Not now not ever.” (Wow. She knew what he was gonna say before he said it. O.O)
“That's what she said.” He turned his agonizing eyes to mine, “Mother said that.”
“Shh…” I gently rubbed his ears, causing a purr to come almost immediately.
“I can't… We can't tell the others.” InuYasha's eyes bore into mine. “They can't know.”
“Why InuYasha? Why shouldn't they know?” I asked questionably.
“Enemies.” Is all he said, almost pleadingly. “We can't tell them.”
I nodded slowly. “I don't like keeping secrets from Sango-chan but I'll try.”
He bent down to give me a kiss and I met him halfway.
“I won't be able to do that often.” He whispered, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. He pecked my lips again. “Maybe you can go to your time for awhile in a few days…”
I grinned at his meaning. “I do need to get more supplies.” I grabbed his hand and started walking down the pathway. “Common. Let's walk the rest of the way.”
A gentle smile tugged at his lips, “I'd like that.” and with that they walked hand in hand towards the village.
