Hey guys, it's been awhile but here I am. I just wanted to write some more and recommend a good story. It is called `past and the present' by animeboy2004. He has a good story so if you like crossovers it is a good thing to look into. Anyway on with the chapter.

Chapter 11: return home

Kayome jumped into the well, surrounded by the familiar blue-purple light. She landed softly on the ground then jumped out. She looked at her hands and realized that she didn't have her claws and her hair was back to normal. She looked like a human again.

But Kayome still had all her demon powers.

She ignored it and walked to the house. The headache still pounded against her temple.

`Kami this head is painful.'

She walked into the house and looked around.

`Uncle Souta must be at work.'

Kayome continued up the stairs to her room. She deserved a good rest, or more like her body was demanding it.

After transforming from human to demon, meeting her father and her mother, and falling off a cliff she was totally drained.

Even though she had slept there, the deprivation of a soft bed had been a bit much for her, (until everything had happened to her.) Kayome laid down on her bed and let her eyes shut, then almost instantly fell into a deep sleep.

"Kayome, have you taken care of everything?"

"Mom? Ya I know my father and I know that kikyo killed you…not Naraku."

"Yes. He has visited me in dreams many times. I have enjoyed talking to him. He is a good guy. Wait until you see his true form."

"That's not his body?"

"No he is much better looking than that. But I'm sure you are falling for Inuyasha just as I did."

"No mom!"

"You don't want to fall in love with him because you think we…"

"You didn't?"

"No never. Neither did he and kikyo. You are free from fear now are you not?"

"Ya that was keeping me from looking at his ass. The thought that my mother had…"

"Anyways what have you thought about your father?"

"He seems like a nice guy but I haven't really gotten to know him."

"I see. Well when you go back to the feudal ages you have to spend time with him."

"I will don't worry. I'm glad I get to know you both."

"I am glad to talk to you one on one. I watched you for so long. I just wanted to hold you in my arms but I couldn't cause you were real and I was dead."

"Mom."

They hugged each other for a couple of seconds and sat comfortably on the grass of kayome's dream world."

"So Kayome, what are your powers?"

"I can talk to animals."

"You can change into them as well."

"What?"

"Yes you can change into any animal you want. It will be hard at first but useful in the end."

"How can I change into them?"

"You will have to figure that out by yourself, but I will tell you that your strength is in sunlight. It will be harder for you to transform in the dark. But you will be able to do it. I have to go now you have company. I love you Kayome."

"I love you to mom."

Kayome woke up to Inuyasha's concerned face.

"Hello Inuyasha. What is it?"

"I just wanted to make sure you were ok. I was worried about you."

"That's sweat. Thank you."

"I also wanted to tell you something."

"What is it?"

He searched his brain for words to tell her how he felt. Not because she reminded him of her mother but because he was attracted to her. Both looks and smarts drew him closer to her.

Suddenly his lips were pressed against Kayome's in a heat surging kiss.

It was like lightening running thru Kayome's veins. She was breathing hard when he took his lips away from hers.

"That about covers it," he said looking into her eyes.

"Inuyasha…"
