Me and Smiley Gurl 87: -backs away slowly- Back away from the mad people. Slowly, slowly, alright, RUN! -takes off in random directions-

 

Kagome: You get Gure-chan, InuYasha!

 

InuYasha: Got it! -dashes off to grab me-

If you were in the Higurashi's house right now, you would be hearing a loud, “WHAT THE HELL?” coming from the well house.

 

“Kagome?” My mother said.

 

“Kagome-san!” Asa and Edward burst out sprinting out the house running towards the well's house.

 

“Oneesan?” Sota yelled out jumping to his feet and following Asa and Edward.

 

When they got into the well's house Asa yelled out, “Kagome-san! You o.k!”

 

Sota wasted no time jumping into the well. (I my mind Sota, is isn't a coward kay? And no I do NOT have a crush on him. InuYasha is more my age. -grin-)

 

“Sota! What are you doing?” Asa yelled out to see him hang in mid air and fall gently to the bottom.

 

“Oneesan? You o.k?” Sota gently asked and looked at the book in my hands. “Shippou!”

 

“Sota…” I mumbled out my body numb, “Can you ask Asa to get me a flashlight and a latter? I can't feel my body…”

 

Sota nodded and started to climb the well's ledge. (Ivy vines)

 

When he got to the top he told Asa, “Get at flashlight and a latter will ya?”

 

“But-” He begain.

 

“JUST GET IT NOW!” I yelled form the bottom of the well, making a scary booming voice.

 

Everybody jumped, “Y-Yes maim!” Asa gushed out running from the well's house and Edward following like he was in a daze. Sota just standing there staring at the two guys walking away rather quickly.

 

“Man Oneesan, you can put the scare into anybody can't you?” Sota said down the well's edge. You could hear my laughter from the bottom that made it should like a maniacal laughter. “AGH!” Sota jumped and started running out of the Well's house just like Asa.

 

I started laughing at Sota's comment and after I heard his yelp and steps running form the well I sat down and opened the precious book in my hands.

 

Dear Mama, It began and already I started to get tears in my eyes.

 

Hello, Mama. I miss you so much. Sango and Miroku are really sad and Papa hasn't eaten for five days, I'm really scared for papa. I don't want to lose him like I did you. Tears fell from my face, Kirara is the only one who plays with me, and even then it's rarely. She misses you too very much. Hey- Stop, Kirara! I'm telling her alright? She says get your but back here so you can give her more belly rubs. I don't do it very well and Sango's too depressed to do anything but eat, drink, sleep, and hit Miroku upside the head. I laughed a loud booming laugh, until Asa and Sota called down.

 

“Kagome-san?”

 

“Oneesan? You kay?”

 

“Ya!” giggle “I'm fi-” laugh “fine!”

 

“O.k… Well anyway, onesan, latter coming down!”

 

I saw the head of the latter and I jumped to grab it, “Got it!” I started to get pulled up and when I got the top I saw that Asa and Sota were panting. “Jeesh, you two you need to lift some weights.” I said picking up the latter with one hand and walking out of the Well's house with my book in the other. “Come on you two! Let's get inside!”

 

“Kagome, dear?” My mother said running out of the house with Edward walking behind her.

 

“Mama, I'll explain inside.”

 

When we were all seated down, Sota on my right leaning on my shoulder, Asa on my left, we were on the floor, leaving my mother and Edward the couch. “Do you want me to read where I left off?” I saw the nodes and I smiled.

 

“Well, besides Sango's anger management issues”, I saw Edward's and Asa's confused glances I nodded my head and got to reading again, “you're probably wondering how I got this book. Kaede said it was a good way to get you feelings out, so I'm calling this book Mama. So when I tell this book my deepest thoughts it will be like talking to you.” I was in tears again, Sota wiped them away since I refused to let go of the book in my hands.

 

“I'm sorry guys, I need some time.” I saw the nods from everybody and Asa asked.

 

“If you don't mind, Kagome-san, how is Sango?” We had already told them everything about Shippou's parents and how we got him. Just not Miroku and Sango.

 

“How about I call Ayumi-chan and she'll tell you everything? I want to get reading the book alone for a little while…”

 

“Yes, onesan,” Sota cut in before Asa could, “That will be fine.”

 

I nodded and walked over to the kitchen for the phone. When I found it I pressed number 7 and talk. It quickly called her,

 

Ring, Ring, Ring-

 

"Hello?"

 

“Ayumi-chan?”

 

"Oh! Hi, Gome"

 

“Hey! Could you do me a huge favor?”

 

"Sure! What is it?"

 

“Can you come over to my house?”

 

"Sure what's wron-"

 

“No Ayumi-chan, over towards the Higurashi's shrine.”

 

"WHAT!"

 

I held the phone a foot away form my ear, “Please Ayumi-chan?”

 

"Why? Do you know how many people are outside that house right now! It's all on the news!"

 

“Really? How'd- Augh! Never mind! Would it help if I sent Asa to help?”

 

"Hmmm, can you send Edward? No offence to Asa but Edward it he more macho man."

 

“Sure! Can do, thanks!”

 

Beep.

 

I took a deep breath, “EDWARD!” and he came quickly and majestically. `He sometimes reminds me of Shessomaru…' I though silently. “Can you go and get Ayumi-chan for me, please? She's scared to come here with all the people outside…”

 

He nodded and smiled at me, `Well he might be like Shessomaru but he sure is a lot, what's the word? Expression-ish? Heh, not a word Higurashi.' I broke into a grin and walked back into the living room.

 

“I'm gong to my room, alright?” I saw mother nod her head watching another episode of Alias and I couldn't see Asa or Sota anywhere. I shrugged, `Probably playing his PS2…' I quickly ran up the stairs, skipping every two.

 

When I was in my room I quickly looked it over, my walls were painted with the most real-like trees, I had hired a painter to do my room, the ceiling filled with the nighttime sky and stars the only thing that did not look like the outside was the carpet, which in turn, was a shaggy green grass color. My red sleeping bag on the floor and that was it. I missed the Feudal Era so much.

 

I blinked the tears away, and sat down on my sleeping bag, opening Shippou's diary to read more.

 

Thirteen days when you left;

 

Sango's not talking to Papa and Miroku is so withdrawn it's scary… He hasn't groped anyone for three days. I'm scared for our lives. I laughed and his child-like state of mind. Papa has finally started eating, only five times I've counted in the last eight days. Kirara is… sleeping, right now and I'm sleepy too. See you in the morning, Mama. I felt tears in my eyes again, quickly wiping them away.

 

I quickly got up and stared to my alarm clock. 7:00pm. `Wow, so earily?' I groaned and got up walking to open my door but before I could open it, it banged open and Ayumi was standing there panting.

 

“Now!” She grabbed my hand and pulled me back to the ground, “What did you want from me?”

 

I looked sheepishly at her, (Lol, she's a sheep…) “I needed you to tall Asa and Edward all about the Feudal era for me…”

 

She looked at me with an eye twitching problem, “So THAT'S why you wanted my to risk my life for?”

 

“Umm, yes?” I said sheepishly.

 

“You're goin' down woman!” She yelled, tackling me and we rolled around a bit. (That does NOT sound right…)

 

“Hey!” laugh “Stop!” crash and giggle “Stop Aymui-chan!”

 

“Say I am the greatest mastermind in the world!” Ayumi said with laughter.

 

“Never!” I tackled her back, pinning her to the ground, “AH HA! I win!”

 

She pouted, “That's no fair you've had experience in the Feudal era!” She pushed me off.

 

I shrugged, letting that comment slip, and we both laughed.

 

“Ahem.”

 

We both quickly turned our heads, to see Sota and Asa in front of the door with clear amusement in there eyes.

 

“I was starting to think you could not have a playful side, Kagome-san. Much less laugh.”

 

We just stared at them, and Sota finally asked, “Have nothing to say?”

 

“Actually I was too amazed by your stupidity to say anything.” Ayumi and I said at the same time.

 

“Jinks!” We yelled at the same time.

 

“Double Jinks!” Same time.

 

“Quadruple Jinks!” Same time.

 

“Quintuplet Jinks!” I yelled ands pumped my hand into the air. “Ha! I win, again!”

 

“Quintuplet?” Ayumi asked confusingly.

 

“Ya, quintuplet?” I saw her confused face. “Nevermind… YOU OWE ME A SODA!”

 

“What do I? You're rich! Get your own soda!” She said playfully.

 

“Wah! You don't love me anymore!” I pretended to sob covering my hands with my face.

 

“Oh, it's alright Gome. I still love you.” Ayumi patted my back and I grinned and looked at her.

 

“Now, when are you going to get my soda?”

 

“What?” She asked incuriously.

 

"You heard me. I shall not repeat myself, nor stoop to your level of stupidity." I ginned at her and jumped up running passed Asa and Sota.

 

“You get back here Gome!” Ayumi yelled and chased after me.

 

I ran passed my mother and just as I rounded the house I bumped into Edward, “Edward HELP!” I squeaked running behind him and gripping his shirt. He automatically went into guard mode, and waited. And waited. And waited. When about five minutes passes I came out of his grip and walked around the corner of the house, to get pounced on my Ayumi.

 

“AGHHHH!” I yelled and flew to the ground with an `umph.'

 

“Got you!”

 

“Agh! Help! Someone help! Edward!” I yelled.

 

“Hey! No callin…” She stopped at I felt a shadow over me.

 

“Oh, Edward… Thank yo-” but I stopped and gaped at the man I fount of me. “Y-You're not Ed-Edward.” I stuttered out and the man chuckled.

 

“Well, I hope I'm not and who's this Edward?”

 

“Kagome-san, I-” Asa ran outside and stopped in front of him. “Who are you?”

 

“Kumori. My name is Kumori Yaxha.”

“Well, Mr. Yax-”

 

“Please, Mrs. Higurashi, Kumori.”

 

My mother nodded, “Kumori. So you are the one who is supposed to what my daughter?”

 

“I was hired from the Company that Miss. Kagome sighed for. I'm supposed to upgrade her wardrobe and get her some gigs.”

 

“I see.” My mother looked to me, “What clothes are you going to buy her?”

 

“No need to worry Mrs. Higurashi. Nothing inappropriate, just more of what she is wearing.”

 

I nodded, “Mom everything is fine.”

 

She nodded as well, “Ok.”

 

“Now all I need to do is get her sizes so I can go shopping for her. Unless you want to come, Miss. Kagome?”

 

I shook my head, “No thank you. Have you seen the mob outside already? Think of what would happen if I went to the mall!” I threw my hands un into the air.

 

He chuckled, “Well, yes. I can see that. Just the measures and I'm done.”

 

When Kumori left we went back into the living room, with Shippou's diary in hand.

 

“Ok, everybody. I'm ready to read again.” I announced.

 

“Read? Read what?” Ayumi said plopping herself down right besides me.

 

“Oh, earlier today,” was it really today? “I found Shippou's diar-”

 

“WAI! Shippou? The kawaii Kitsune pup?”

 

“Did everyone know about this before us!” Asa exasperated, throwing his hand in the air.

 

“Oh, stop Asa,” I playfully glared at him. “and yes, Ayumi, Shippou is the kawaii Kitsune pup.”

 

“Squee!” She said with starry eyes. (-grins- Squee - Me as Feh or Keh - InuYasha)

 

“Ready everybody?” They nodded Sota sitting on the ground on my right again, Ayumi on my left, Asa leaning on the kitchen doorway, Edward and my mother on the couch.

 

“Twenty days since you left-”

 

“KAWAII!” Ayumi burst through as I was speaking.

 

I glared at her, “What pray tell is so cute?” (Kawaii means Cute)

 

“He counts the days since you left! If that's not cute I don't know that is.”

 

I grinned. “Ya. I guess you're right.”

 

“I'm always right.”

 

“Don't push it.”

 

I began again, “Twenty days since you left;

 

We heard of a jewel shard up north but Papa-”

 

“Papa?” Ayumi and Asa said at the same time.

 

“But I thought you said that his papa died?” Aymui finished and Asa nodded.

 

“Well yes, but it seems that Shippou has been calling InuYasha Papa and me Mama since I left.”

 

“Oh.” Both of them said at the same time again.

 

“Papa hasn't said anything about it I'm scared for him. He hasn't eaten anything since the last time I talked to you.”

 

“He hasn't WHAT? How is that possible!” Asa exclaimed standing instead of leaning on the door frame.

 

“He's half-demon remember?” I said.

 

“But that's no excuse for TWENTY days?”

 

“Oh, I'm sorry. I read a little before remember? He hasn't eaten in three days.”

 

“That's still… wow.” Ayumi said with wide eyes.

 

“He also has only eaten five times since I left, too.” I said grimly remembering what Shippou said last time.

 

“Really, Gome? He must love you.”

 

“Yes.” I said sadly, “I'm afraid if he keeps this up he will die. I don't want to read more into this and find out that he died from lack of food and water.”

 

“Oh, Kagome-chan.” Ayumi sighed and rapped her arms around me. “I'm sure he's ok.”

 

Sniff, “Ya, I… know.”

 

“You want to go back to reading oneesan?” Sota said slowly.

 

“Yes that seems best.”

 

“Sango is slowly forgiving Papa she went to talk to him for the first time since you left. She must have said something that hit a mark because right now he's snarfing down all the ramen we had left.” I laughed, tears falling down my eyes.

 

“InuYasha likes ramen, I guess?” Asa said with a small smile.

 

“YES!” Sota, Ayumi, my mother and I said at once.

 

“Jinks!” We all said at the same time and quit at that.

 

I laughed again and started reading, “I'm turning in for the night mama; write to you as soon as something interesting happens.”

 

“More?” Sota asked, and I nodded.

 

“More.” I agreed.

 

“Thirty days since you left;

 

Papa came bouncing into Kaede's hut yesterday-”

 

“Wait!” I stopped reading, “He WHAT?”

 

“He bounced into Kaede's hut?” Sota said helpfully.

 

“But- but- but… He BOUNCHED!” I said franticly.

 

“So?” Asa came into the conversation.

 

“He's never expressed any emotion besides hurt, sadness, betrayal, and anger!”

 

“And you still fell in love with him?” Asa asked confused.

 

I sighed happily, “Yes. He may only show those emotions but when it was just him and me… it seemed like it was… I don't know how to explain it, he showed…”

 

“Love?” Ayumi said smiling all-knowingly.

 

“Yes.” I smiled like Ayumi, “Love.” We both sighed dreamily like two schools girls and giggled.

 

“Ok, you two.” Sota said gagging. “Less lovey-dovy stuff and more with the reading.”

 

I ruffled his hair, “Sure Sota.”

 

“Papa came bouncing into Kaede's huh yesterday yelling about how he found a way to… Mama's time!” I yelled out looking around at the anxious glances and continued reading the diary. “He had said a friend had helped him out in figuring out what to do but he wouldn't tell us anything else. Automatically Sango jumped up and shook him senseless yelling at him to get on with it. He said to pin him to the God tree...” I jumped up and started running out the door, hearing calls from everybody else inside. I ran to the Well's house to grab the latter from earlier. By then Asa and Edward were outside and running towards me.

 

“Kagome-san! Stop!” Asa came to me and took the latter, I pulled back. “You don't even know that he's still there!”

 

“Give that back you BASTERED!”

 

He let go automatically like I had stung him, I ran to the tree Edward following and Asa just stood there looking back at me.

 

“Edward, please. Please hold this for me will you?” I pleaded him, tears gathering in my eyes. “I have to see if his is up there.”

 

He nodded and smiled kindly at me and held the latter steady. I quickly climbed it and jumped to the first branch looking to see if InuYasha was there, nope. I quickly jumped to the second one, hearing people talk from the bottom of the tree.

 

“She looks like a monkey!” Sota yelled and laughed.

 

“I HEARD THAT!” I yelled down.

 

“Wow, she climbs very fast doesn't she?” Ayumi said happily.

 

Mrs. Higurashi just looked at her daughter smiling slightly, “She sure does love him.”

 

When I was about to the top I was loosing hope, and getting tired. I moved a branch away and looked tiredly up to see, my sleeping angel. I could hardly contain my joy.

 

“I FOUND HIM!” I bet everybody in a three mile radius could hear me. I also heard gasps and joyous clattering at the bottom of the tree but I cut it all out.

 

“InuYasha.” I said his name like a question. I scooted farther up the branch and gazed upon him face. “InuYahsa.” I breathed and my vision blurred, I hastily wiped them away. I reached up to pet his ears, giggling like a school girl remembering I did the exactly same thing when we first met.

 

His noise twitched.

 

His eye blinked open.

 

And he stared at me with only one thing I could decipher was, Love.

 

I couldn't contain it anymore, “INUYASHA!” I cried tightly hugging him around the waist, crushing his body into mine.

 

He didn't jump or make a rude comment. He rapped his arms around me and held me close to his heart.

 

“I,” sob “was so scared,” hiccup “that I,” sob again “wouldn't see you again!”

 

“Shh, Kagome.” He nuzzled my neck, “Everything's alright.” After a solid five minutes, I pulled away to look into his eyes, but before I could get a word out he pulled me deep into a kiss. Days… weeks… away from each other made a toll on the two kissing teenagers. All there emotions they have felt since they have last seen each other were placed into that kiss. Depression, misery, sadness, regrets, and mostly all Love. Her arms moved from around his waist to around his neck pulling him tightly to her, his hands moving from her back to the back of her head trying to get as close as he could. She moaned into his mouth and he growled contently and they broke the kiss.

 

Pant-pant “Inu- InuYasha.” I mumbled out brokenly, “I love you.”

 

He grinned smugly and said, “Well, duh.”

 

I huffed and said, “InuYasha si-”

 

He cut me off with another kiss that left me dizzy. He chuckled, “Kagome,” and nuzzled my neck placing delicate kisses up my neck. “I love you, too.” His lips sealed mine again and I rapped my arms around his head again, when I felt his tongue lapping at my lips, demanding entrance, I felt that I would die of bliss. When I opened up to him he plunged into my mouth and tasted everything I had as if memorizing my every crevice. Pulling away from him to catch my breath, I noticed that his amber eyes were intently recording my every move and it made me inwardly shiver.

 

“Kagome…” He muttered and about to pull into another kiss when someone called up the tree.

 

“Hey! You two better not be doing anything up there!” Grandpa yelled form the bottom of the tree. (I totally forgot about him! Agh!)

 

I giggled and looked down the tree knowing he couldn't see us, “What if we are!” I looked back at InuYasha to see his shocked face, “Don't leave your mouth open, InuYasha. You'll catch flies.” I said smugly and kissed him on the cheek. He snapped out of his shocked face and smiled at me.

 

“Let's get going before they climb up here. I don't want you to let go of me at all.”

 

He kissed my forehead, “Not going to happen.” He when he stood up and stretched in front of me I finally looked to see that he wasn't wearing the fire-rat outfit but a black and purple demon slayer's outfit, and talking about but…

 

I looked at him admiring what his outfit showed, it was a lot tighter and showed his six-pack, muscled legs… and fine butt. I looked up to his face to see him smirking and looking back at me.

 

“You like what you see?” He asked smugly.

 

I grinned back up at him, getting to my feet, and running my hand down his chest watching his muscles ripple at my touch. I ginned at him, “You know it.”

 

He growled deep in his throat and dipped his head down into a heated kiss. When it ended my legs felt like goo and I was scooped up by InuYasha, who in turn chuckled at my dazed face. “Weak?”

 

“You always make me feel weak.” I mumbled, “You captured my heart and wouldn't let me go.”

 

His face turn from a smug grin to one of unconditionally love. “And I'm never going to let you go.” He jumped down from the branch and landed at the bottom of the God Tree in less than five seconds.

 

“Let's go inside.” I mumbled into is haori. He kissed my forehead, and started jumping toward my house.

 

When we reached the door it was pulled open and Ayumi was standing there, “WAI!” and pulled InuYasha into the house.

 

Where we were bombarded with questions.

 

“HOLD UP!” I yelled at everybody, “One at a time!”

 

“Inu-no-oniisan! I'm so glad you're ok!” Sota yelled, trying to hug him the best he could with me in his hands.

 

“Hold on, kid.” He said adjusting me in his hands grabbing my butt and giving it a squeeze and picking up Sota. I whispered into his ear, “now, none of that koinu.” I licked his inside of his, dog ear and he glanced heatedly up at me. (koinu means puppy)

 

“Umm, Gome?” Ayumi's voice broke through our daze. “So this is what your InuYasha looks like.” I blushed scarlet and InuYasha laughed.

 

“Yours, huh?” He said squeezing my butt again.

 

I giggled like a school girl again for the third time today, and rubbed his left dog ear. He growled lowly, `Is… is he purring?'

 

“What's he wearing?” Asa said with jealousy.

 

“Huh?” I looked down and blushed, “Mom? Do you think you could get him some normal clothes?”

 

My mother looked over InuYasha and giggled, “Sure Kagome, I'll go and get those.”

 

I was still rubbing InuYasha's ear but he stopped growling I looked over at him to see he was staring lovingly at me.

 

I smiled and kissed his cheek. “Love ya.” He whispered.

 

“Me, too.”

 

“You two need a moment to yourselves.” Ayumi said with a small grin, “Let's go Sota, I bet I can beat you in Ratchet and Clank; Going Commando.” (LOVE THAT GAME!)

 

“You're on!” He jumped out of InuYasha's grip and ran to her, dragging hr up the stairs and InuYasha free arm ran through my hair and he held me like a baby in his arm.

 

“Kagome-san?” Asa said slowly.

 

“Yes, Asa?” I looked over at him.

 

“Do you want us to leave?” He nodded over to Edward.

 

“Do you mind?” I asked sweetly.

 

“Sure, it's ok.” He shrugged and looked at InuYasha and walked out followed be Edward.

 

“Kagome?”

 

“Yes?” I looked over to him and he kissed me soundly on the mouth. I muffled a moan and I felt his smile in the kiss, I broke it to hear his whimper.

 

“What was that for?” He asked peaking at me behind one eye.

 

“Nothing.” I said sweetly. “Bring me up to my room please, and I'll give you another kiss.”

 

His eyes lightened dramatically and he practically bounced up the stairs. I giggled, `He's bouncing again.'

 

When we got to his room, he walked in almost in a daze, “What?”

 

I giggled at his expression, “Ya, I changed my room when I came back.”

 

He placed me into my sleeping bag and got in it as well, “I love you Kagome.”

 

“I love you, too InuYasha.” I replied and kissed him heatedly.
