A/N: I don't own Inuyasha.
Inuyasha jumped to his feet immediately after a series of 'oofs' and 'arghs' came from Kagome's room. He ran as fast as he could to her room where he found her on the ground, trying to get up. He ran to her side and lifted her up and onto the bed. "I told you to ask me if you needed anything," he said, roughly but...lovingly? It took only one look into his eyes for Kagome to tell he was only trying to help.
"Inuyasha...I have to go to the bathroom." Kagome watched his expression change from one of loving anger to awkward embaressment as he helped her into the bathroom and left, closing the door behind him.
A few minutes later the door opened an Inuyasha helped the young woman back to her bed. "Thanks," Kagome said as she laid back against her pillow.
"Don't." Inuyasha looked away.
"Inuyasha..." Kagome looked for words she could use but found none.
"Is there anything else you need?" Kagome shook her head.
"I'll be right in the living room. This time if you need help just say my name. I'll hear it." Suddenly, there was a loud growling sound that came from her stomach and she blushed. "Again. If you need anything, tell me." Inuyasha said calmly as he stood up and walked toward the kitchen.
"Sorry." Kagome whispered, mostly to herself.
"You don't need to be." Inuyasha called back from the kitchen. "If you're hungry you should eat something." Kagome heard the microwave turn on and a few seconds later Inuyasha returned with two cups of ramen and two cups of Pepsi.
"Thanks." Kagome said softly accepting a cup of ramen and a cup of soda.
"Hm..." Inuyasha sat down on the chair next to her bed and opened his cup.
Kagome swallowed a few noodles and looked over at Inuyasha who was just staring at his. "So, Inuyasha." The hanyou looked up, his ear flicking nervously. "Have you ever had a girlfriend?" Inuyasha turned dark red and started fighting himself on wether or not to run.
"Uh," Inuyasha looked down again at his food as he thought about the question. "Yeah."
"Really? What was she like?" Kagome asked, curiously. She saw his ear's droop sadly and his facial features change and swiftly began to rethink her question. "You don't have to answer if you don't want-"
"She was shy." Inuyasha started as he built up his nerve. "She was one of the most powerful preistesses of her time."
"Really. What happened to her?"
Inuyasha's face stiffened and he smashed the cup of ramen in hs hand causing her to jump. "She said she'd be with me if I became a human and when I said I would she..." a tear fell down his face.
Kagome moved closer to him and pulled him closer to her and ignored the pain as she wrapped her arms around him a rocked back and forth like her mom had done to try to calm him. "She what?" Kagome whispered. "It's better if you get it out, Inuyasha. The longer you keep it inside, the worse you feel."
Inuyasha took a deep breath and lowered his voice to a whisper. "She killed me..."
Kagome's eye's shot wide open as something sharp seemed to peirce her heart and she became speechless.
They stayed like that for a while until he fell asleep. She then moved his head down to her lap and let him rest his head on it as he slept. (A/N: Inu/Kag Kodak moment people. Take your pictures now.) After a while she fell asleep herself.
Nine hours later...
Inuyasha picked up the garbage and carried it out of the room silently as Kagome slept. He walked sadly to the kitchen where he deposited them into the small trash can and looked out the window at the rainy day outside. He suddenly got an idea and began looking around the room. When he couldn't find what he was looking for, he left the appartment, taking Kagome's housekeys with him. 'Just in case she trys to come after me again.
Thirty minutes later...
Kagome woke up slowly and looked around, noticing something missing. "Inuyasha?" She yawned. Only seconds later the hanyou walked into the room with a large box in his hand.
"Hm?" He said cheerfully.
"I wanted to see what you were doing," Kagome said stretching.
"I was putting a few finishing touches on this," Inuyasha handed her the box and tried to smile.
Kagome accepted the box and laid it down on her bed. She looked at how well it was wrapped and was struck speechless when she opened ti to reveal a wooden crutch with a small engraving on it that said 'From an angel.' "Oh, Inuyasha I love it." Kagome opened the drawer to her bedside table and pulled out a small silver box and handed it to him. "I was scared to give you this before because I was afraid you wouldn't like it," Kagome said blushing.
Inuyasha opened the box and looked at the black metal dog collar inside, confused.
"Oh, I knew you wouldn't like it." Kagome buried her face in her hands. Without another word Inuyasha had the collar around his neck.
He looked down at her. "It fits perfectly." Kagome looked up at him through teary eyes and smiled.
"You mean you don't hate it?"
"No." Inuyasha '
