Kikyo's Revenge

`I should pick flowers for Inuyasha; I am very sorry for crying and running away from him'

Kagura wandered out into the unguarded gardens areas and began to pick roses and lilies.

`Kagura will die for ignorance, for upsetting Inuyasha and stealing him away from me, he belongs to me, he loves me and I need him to be with me'

Kikyo was disgusted by the kiss that Inuyasha and Kagura shared. And for her nerve to cry over it, it was so loving and caring that it almost made Kikyo sick.

`I'll scare her up; she is weak and emotionally challenged that she is unable to think for herself'. There she is, out in the gardens, picking flowers from the selection.

“Kagura, wind sorceress, I need to speak with you” Kikyo said, her soul collectors swarming around her.

“Who are you?” Kagura asked.

“Kikyo, Inuyasha's love” Kikyo said calmly.

“I want you to back off of him, he can't handle another lover” She said calmly.

“How do you know what he needs?” Kagura asked, temper flaring.

“You ran away from his kiss yesterday, that's the most passionate kiss he's ever given someone and you basically killed it and left him confused and heartbroken” Kikyo accused.

`How does she know, but its true! He probably will never attempt something like that again after knowing he got upset'

“Kikyo, unless Inuyasha asks me, I will never let him go, I care about him” Kagura said.

“Do not think that Inuyasha will be able to express himself in that way, yesterday was the closest that he's ever gotten to do that” Kikyo announced.

“Trust me Kagura, when you first saw Inuyasha, did he welcome you with open arms?” Kikyo asked softly.

“No, he sent me away” Kagura confessed.

“He is not good with sharing, he probably kissed you to bring you happiness” Kikyo said harshly.

`Could it be true, did Inuyasha only kiss me to please me? If he did, he is an asshole for doing so, if he didn't… I am so confused now!'

“I suggest you avoid him, don't confuse him if you don't love him, if you can't say that you love him, like I do, then back off” Kikyo warned.

`Maybe Kikyo is right, I can't honestly say that I love him, so I should stay away, he isn't anything that I'd want and I can't have his heart, Kikyo owns it, so maybe I should stay away'

“Fine Kikyo, you win, I'll back off of Inuyasha” Kagura accepted. Kikyo disappeared back into the forest, her soul collectors in tow. Kagura stopped picking flowers and went back to her chores.

“Did you take a long enough break?” Kagome asked.

“Certainly, I just needed to clear my head” Kagura smiled. It was awkward and not like her but she was ok about it.

“Inuyasha wants to see you” Kagome said.

`Inuyasha, I can't deal with him, I'll keep it short and sweet'.

“Thanks Kagome” Kagura said. She walked to Inuyasha's room.

“Hi Inuyasha” Kagura bowed formally.

“Why so formal?” Inuyasha questioned.

“No reason, Lord Inuyasha, just how I am” Kagura said.

“About last night, I was wondering if that meant anything.” Inuyasha asked.

“It was a mistake, it was something you did to make me happy, I really appreciated it” Kagura smiled.

“But do you like me? Do you want to go out with me?” Inuyasha asked.

“We should just be friends” Kagura said swiftly, she headed out without another word.

`She doesn't care for me? But she didn't say that, all she said was that she wanted to stay friends, maybe's she's afraid of commitment or of our pasts'

`That went easy; I managed to get away from him without trying to say too much'

“Sesshomaru, I think there is something wrong with Kagura and Inuyasha, after last night and how they came into the house, maybe they are having some problems” Kagome said.

“Do not involve yourself in trivial things that have nothing to do with you” Sesshomaru answered.

“Sesshomaru, show concern over it, Kagura is your worker” Kagome said. “Do not worry” Sesshomaru insisted.

Inuyasha followed Kagura to her room.

“Kagura, is there a reason that you avoided me?” Inuyasha asked.

“I didn't avoid you; I simply had somewhere else to go” Kagura lied.

“What happened this morning?” Inuyasha asked.

“What do you mean?” Kagura asked.

“Before this morning, you were perky and happy and smiling, and now you are all jumpy and lost and confused” Inuyasha explained.

“Well I went to the garden” Kagura said.

“Did you talk to anyone or see anything?” Inuyasha asked.

“Well I did, but it's not really important” Kagura said.

“Tell me Kagura, I won't be upset” Inuyasha assured.

“I saw a miko, she looked like Kagome and her name started with a “K” but I forgot the rest, she told me to lay off of you” Kagura confessed.

“Kikyo told you to lay off” Inuyasha asked.

“She said you needed to be with someone who loved you” Kagura added.

“I don't love Kikyo anymore, nor do I love Kagome anymore” Inuyasha said.

“Yesterday, when you kissed me, why did you do it?” Kagura asked.

“Did you like it” Inuyasha countered. “I do not know” Kagura answered truthfully.

“I kissed you because I want to Inuyasha said.

`I could never admit that I kissed her because I slowly grow to like her, and maybe one day I'll love her'.

“IS that all? Did you wish to bring me pleasure or temporary bliss” Kagura questioned.

“I did want to give you bliss, because you've gone soo long without it” Inuyasha said, he instantly regretted it.

`Why did I tell her? Now she'll think I'm weak, but we are alone, so it's not like it matters'

“Well if it helps you to know, you did bring me bliss, and waves of pleasure, I have never left that good in a long time Inuyasha” Kagura said.

“Do you care about me?” Inuyasha asked.

“Yes I do, you are a close friend of mine, but as for intimate feelings, I am not sure” Kagura said.

“At least you were honest, in telling me how you felt, because I care about you too” Inuyasha said. After that he began to walk into the forest.

“Inuyasha, where are you going?” Kagura asked.

“Just off to talk to Kikyo” Inuyasha replied calmly, taking off into a sprint.

`Dumb Kikyo, messing up my head and making me think Inuyasha didn't want me, she played me for a sucker, I could have really lost Inuyasha, but that's probably what she wanted'

`Kikyo, you will regret ever hurting Kagura, tricking her and confusing her thoughts. I'll make sure you regret it'

“Inuyasha” Kikyo greeted.

“Why did you scare Kagura away” He demanded.

“Kagura is a confused young wind sorceress that has no idea how to love you or how to make you happy, I simply suggested she'd leave you alone” Kikyo said.

`Stupid sorceress, you told Inuyasha of what I did, I should have purified you when I had the chance'

“Don't do that again, I'd hate for your soul collectors to mysteriously die” Inuyasha taunted.

“Inuyasha, I am truly sorry if I scared her away” Kikyo lied.

“Do not take me for a fool” Inuyasha said.

With that he ran off, back to Sesshomaru's castle.

“Kagura, don't worry Kikyo should be gone” Inuyasha said.

“Inuyasha, do you know what's wrong with Kagura?” Kagome asked.

“Nothing now, she was just cornered by Kikyo” Inuyasha said.

“Really, when?” Kagome asked.

“Earlier this morning in the garden, that's why she avoided me so much, Kikyo told her to back off” Inuyasha explained.

`Kikyo, to scare off Kagura the one person who may heal Inuyasha's heart and possibly bring him happiness and love, is a cruel and horrid thing to do, even a clay pot like you wouldn't stoop so low'
