Kagura invites Inuyasha out to the gardens, on the night of the new moon. He goes and he kisses her. Kagura, confused of how she feels, runs away crying. Kikyo sees and plots her revenge, Inuyasha feels horrible.

Kagura & Inuyasha

After the dinner with Sesshomaru, Kagome went back to Rin's wing, to get her things and move it back into Sesshomaru's.

“Inuyasha, where are you going?” Kagome asked.

“It's the night of the new moon” Inuyasha said, with a bag of snacks in his arms.

“Oh, well night” Kagome said.

`Poor Inuyasha, always hiding from the world. I'm sure Sesshy wouldn't let him get hurt but then again, he didn't even chase after me. No I can't think like that, he loves me even if he rarely says it'

“Mate, are you ok?” Sesshomaru asked, truly concerned.

“Oh yeah, just thinking” Kagome said flustered.

`Strange, she seems to be telling the truth, but I feel there is something more'.

“Are you sure?” He asked.

“Positive” Kagome reassured. She knew she wasn't even feeling it herself.

“Kagura, where are you going?” Kagome asked.

“To see Lord Inuyasha, he disappeared earlier” Kagura answered.

“Sorry but he wants to be left alone” Kagome said sadly. Kagura took that into notice.

`Why does Inuyasha want to be left alone?'

“Are you coming, mate?” Sesshomaru asked.

“Yes” Kagome answered, she took her stuff and followed him. The bedroom looked the same but yet he still made it feel new. Kagome sat on the bed and began to stare off to nowhere.

`I am just sorry, I broke Inuyasha's heart, gave Sesshomaru mine, mated with him and then am having his child'

“Kagome” Sesshomaru said firmly.

“Sorry, I must have spaced out” Kagome apologized.

“What are you thinking about?” He asked,

“Oh nothing important” Kagome lied.

“Do not lie to me” Sesshomaru said.

“Just things, honestly it's nothing” Kagome insisted.

“If it was nothing, you wouldn't have thought about it” Sesshomaru said.

“Just about Inuyasha and the new moon” Kagome finally said.

“He is hanyou, it's happened before, what's to think about?” Sesshomaru questioned.

“He always hides, as if it's not already known, and I feel bad for him” Kagome said.

“Do not pity the hanyou, he wouldn't want it” Sesshomaru stated.

“Why don't you go talk to him? He might be happier” Kagome suggested.

“The hanyou wants nothing to do with me” Sesshomaru said.

`After the way I treated him, neglected him and tormented him'

“Please” Kagome pouted. Sesshomaru rose and walked out to the hallway.

“Kagura, could you go see Inuyasha?” He asked.

“Yes milord” Kagura bowed low, she decided not to knock on the door.

`I wonder why I have to see him, it's his brother'.

“Lord Inuyasha, Sesshomaru wanted me to see you” Kagura said.

“Stay back” Inuyasha said. He sounded different.

“Why?” Kagura asked.

“Because I don't want you to see me” Inuyasha said. The room was dark and it was hard to see him. Kagura went over to strike a candle.

She looked Inuyasha up and down; His hair was black, no fangs, dog ears or claws.

“You're human” She exclaimed.

“It's my night of weakness” He explained.

“You don't seem weak to me” Kagura said.

“What did you want?” Inuyasha asked harshly.

“To invite you to the gardens” Kagura mentioned.

“Why?” Inuyasha asked.

“Just to have someone to go with, it's a beautiful night” Kagura said smiling.

`She is trying so hard to be nice to me, but how could I learn to love, especially after I lost Kikyo and now Kagome'.

“Will you go with me?” Kagura asked.

“Sure” Inuyasha said, he felt comfortable with himself. Kagura was very pretty; she wore a traditional dress, nice comfortable shoes and her hair in a bun.

“Inuyasha, it's nice to finally talk to you alone, you seem so distant” Kagura commented.

“What do you mean by distant?” Inuyasha asked.

“You aren't really with anyone, Kagome has Sess, Rin has Shippo, Miroku has Sango but you're alone”

Kagura whispered, “But then again, so am I”.

“You're so pretty, why are you alone?” Inuyasha said. Kagura blushed, she wasn't expecting that.

“Lord Sesshomaru is very scary, no demon will come within 10 feet of the castle, and no one ever sees me because I can't leave the castle” Kagura explained.

“Well I'm alone because I couldn't choose, I chose my 1st love that was dead over Kagome and then after I lost Kagome, I chose not to be with Kikyo because she cost me Kagome” Inuyasha said. He couldn't believe he was telling his feelings but he was human.

“You're a sweetie, you can never forget your first love” Kagura said.

“Who was yours?” Inuyasha asked.

“I never had one” Kagura lied.

`It's always been you, ever since I first battled you, when Naraku was alive'.

“Kagura, we're here” Inuyasha said, gently poking her.

`I don't want to tell him, maybe I'm just over exaggerating my feelings, he could just be a crush, and I just want to forget him. But the thought of him, makes me want him so much more! He's all I think about before I go to sleep'

`Is she ok?, she seems to be very lost in thought, maybe she is wondering why she's going anywhere with you, a half-demon. Of course not, Kagura is just sweet and lonely, she's never had love'

“Kagura” Inuyasha said, now shaking her.

“Sorry, I was just…” she stopped. She didn't want to explain herself to him, it was too much for even her to understand.

`It's now or never, this could change everything about us but if it gives her even a moment of happiness, it'll make me happy'.

With that, he cupped his hands around her chin and kissed her with all the passion and pleasure that he could.

`First he loses me then he goes to Kagura, a wind goddess, and won't be with me, I can't believe him, he never kissed me like that. Except that last time, when Kagome caught us, but even then it wasn't as good as that'

Kagura was the first one to break the kiss, she looked terrified and confused and ashamed, her face bright pink. She got up and ran off. “I'm sorry” Inuyasha yelled out. And for once he actually meant it, he didn't mean to upset her.

`I fuck up everything I touch, I got Kikyo killed, I made Kagome cry so many times and now I've scared Kagura away, the only friend I ever had'.

`I can't believe he kissed me, a sweet and tender kiss, it was wonderful, everything I'd want a first kiss to be. But then again, could we ever be happy as a couple. I'd be a servant of Lord Sesshomaru and he'd never give me to Inuyasha, I'll never have a life more than the one I have now'

“Kagura” Sesshomaru called out. She was crying, tears streaming down her cheeks.

`Waves of frustration, confusion and pain come from her, what happened'.

“ What happened?” Sesshomaru asked.

“Lord Sesshomaru, I'd wish not to talk about it, it's nothing you can help me with” Kagura said, sniffling.

“Did anyone hurt you?” He asked.

“No, not at all” Kagura replied truthfully.

`She's not lying, so I can't understand why she's crying, I'll respect her wishes for now'.

“Good night Kagura” Sesshomaru dismissed her.

Inuyasha slowly walked back to his room.

“Hanyou, explain why Kagura is upset?” Sesshomaru demanded.

“I do not know, and frankly I can't even guess” Inuyasha huffed. He walked off, ignoring Sesshomaru's icy glares.

“What's wrong?” Kagome asked.

“Kagura was crying and Inuyasha looks depressed” Sesshomaru said quickly. Kagome was suddenly confused.
