Chapter Eight:

“You're lucky I'm doing this,” Inuyasha muttered, taking his normal place on the bed. A sigh escaped his lips, as she shot another evil glare at him from her place on the floor. “Come sit up here, and I will tell you why it's your fault that you are here anyway.”

 

“It's not my fault!” Kagome hissed, and stood up, sitting beside him on the bed. “I didn't make you grab me and bring me here. Did I? NO!” She let out an angry sigh and closed her eyes for a moment, only to open them again.

 

“If you weren't being so rude at the restaurant then I wouldn't have had to take you!” Inuyasha yelled at her and stood up. She stood up in front of him and glared.

 

“I was the one being rude?!” She screamed at him. “I wasn't the one who barged into the place and killed some people now was I?! If you've forgotten you are the crazy killer here! Not me!” There was a long silence, until Inuyasha leaned forward and pressed his lips against hers. Before she could react he was stomping out of the room and slamming the door behind him.

 

Kagome fell back onto the bed and brought her hand to her lips. “W-what was that for?” She mumbled to herself and soon she fell into a lifeless sleep.

After a few hours of clearing his head and cussing himself, he made his way back to the house. “Ugh…” He groaned as he made his way to the closed door. “Okay…” He mumbled and finally opened it, to find Kagome asleep in the bed. One side said, “get in the bed with her.” The other side said, “Wake her up and make her move.”

 

So he walked over to the bed and covered her up and laid down where she usually did. I hate myself… He thought before closing his eyes, and falling into a dreamless sleep.

 

Kagome's eyes slowly fluttered open, to notice the whole room was dark. She was in the bed…where was Inuyasha? Was he still gone? She looked over to the window to notice it was pouring outside. “Great…” She muttered and sat up. With a sigh she stood up, but soon fell back down. What'd she trip over?

 

She heard a grunt and then two strong arms wrapped around her and pulled her closer. She couldn't help but snuggle into the warmth. Before losing herself completely she opened her eyes to see who in the hell was holding her and gasped. Inuyasha. She didn't dare move, in fear that he would wake up.

 

Not able to stop herself she brushed a lock of his silver hair from his face and stared at him. If she could look passed the arrogant, snobby, rude inside, she would have to admit…He was quite hott. He moved, pulling her closer yet again, and soon she had fallen asleep again.

The hanyou groaned and opened his eyes, only to be staring into the face of…KAGOME?! He slowly pulled his arm out from under her and quickly got up, jumping away. As she lost the extra warmth she curled up into a ball. He sighed and covered her up.

 

“You're screwed Takahashi…you're screwed big time.” He muttered to himself and sat down on the bed, placed his elbows on his knees, and buried his face into his ruff hands.

 

You like her…A voice in his head said.

 

No I don't! He argued.

 

You're right. You've fallen in love. Ooo, that's sweet.

 

“Damn it!” Inuyasha cried. “I have not!”

 

“I see you're talking to yourself again little brother,” Came a cold voice from the doorway. Inuyasha had been so wrapped up in his thought's he hadn't noticed his brother walk in and lean against the doorframe. “Anyway, Rin, Jaken, and I will be leaving for a few days. If I come back and my house Is destroyed I swear I will kick your ass.”

 

“Whatever…” Inuyasha muttered. With that Sesshoumaru took his leave and closed the large red door behind him.

 

<>Kagome's Dream<>

 

 

“Inuyasha!” Kagome called into the darkness of the room. She had no idea where she was. All the lights were off and all she could see around her was darkness. She was lost and scared. She needed Inuyasha.

 

“…”

 

He didn't answer. “Inuyasha, where are you?” She called. “I need you…” She fell to her knees and began to sob. “You actually left me…” She cried into he room.

Inuyasha examined Kagome carefully. She was…crying…and saying his name. Strange. “She must be having a nightmare.” He said to himself and bent down beside her. He put his hands on her shoulders and shook her softly. “Kagome.”

 

Without warning she shot up and clung to him. (If something like that happened to me I would probably have a heart attack…o.o) “K-Kagome, what's wrong?!” Slowly he wrapped his arms around her and held her close, rocking back and forth.
