Chapter Nine:

New Moon Fluffiness

(As you can tell by the chapter title there's going to be some fluff in this. I don't know how much, but I am in a fluffy mood. Haha, ^ ^; so…Yeah.)

Still rocking the sobbing girl back and forth, as is she were a small child, he sighed. Why him? Why did he, the crazy serial killer, care for some stupid girl enough to do this? Perhaps it was because she looked so much like Kikyou? No, he hated that bitch. After a while her crying came to a stop, and she just snuggled into his warmth. Being completely uncomfortable with this, he didn't move.

 

“Inuyasha, I'm sorry…” She mumbled into his chest, with a sigh. “Sorry for yelling at you, sorry for making you mad, and sorry for…well everything I've ever done that made you mad…” She sighed again, pulling away from him.

 

As she named the things that made him mad, he found himself making a list of the things he liked about her. Her stubbornness and bravery towards him was defiantly number one on there. Two, was how beautiful she was. 3, how kind and caring she could be. 4-

 

STOP IT! He screamed in his head and then gave her, what he considered to be a smile. “It's fine…and I'm sorry to. You should hate me, but you put up with me. I kidnapped you and I am awful to you…and for the whole…Um…thing…yesterday.”

 

She stared at him in complete and utter shock. “D-did you just apologize?!” She put a hand over her heart and fainted into his arms. Luckily they were sitting down, or just for that he wouldn't have caught her. Okay that was a lie. He would have.

 

“Haha, very funny.” He muttered sarcastically. “Anyway, we are going someplace to night.

 

“What? Won't you get caught and taken back?” She asked. “Not like I care or anything.” She added quickly. He shook his head and gave her an odd smile. One of those smiles you put on when you have a funny little secret. She just brushed off the odd feeling she had and shrugged. “Where are we going then?”

 

“You'll see.” He gave that smile again, and had that glint in his eyes.

 

She poked him hard in the chest. “What are you hiding from me, mister?” She gave him a hard glare, but he only smirked. “I despise you.”

 

“Oh, I'm hurt!” He cried sarcastically. She sighed and walked into the bathroom, cleaning herself up for tonight, though she had no idea where they were going.

 

“Hey Kagome!” She heard the hanyou call. She slowly stepped out of the tub and opened the door just a crack. He had his eyes closed and tripped the whole way to the door. “I found this, you can wear it, have it, or whatever.” He mumbled and put it in her hand.

 

“Thankyou.” She gave him a smile and quickly shut the door, locking it. She put in on the sink and stepped back into the tub to finish her bath. Once she was done she dried off and with the towel wrapped around her, examined what Inuyasha had given her.

 

It was a light blue summer dress with flowers decorating the bottom with cut off just above her knees. Next to that was a pair of light blue flip-flops. Where was he going to take her? She shrugged. The dress was pretty she loved it. After pulling on her bra and underwear on she slipped the dress on and the flip-flops. She spun around once, and the dress twirled with her.

She grinned, and started to brush and blow-dry her hair. After FOREVER she stepped out of the bathroom, and saw Inuyasha lying down on the bed as usual. She sat down at the end and said, “Thankyou for the dress Yashie.”

 

“Whatever-What did you just call me?!”

 

“Yashie. That's my new nickname for you, seeing how you called me `bitch' for a while.” She smiled and he glared. Soon the sun went down and the next time Kagome looked at him she gasped and nearly fell off of the bed.

 

“Who in the hell are you?!” She squealed in alarm. She wasn't looking at Inuyasha; she was looking at some boy WITHOUT cute doggy ears and black hair. He also had violet eyes instead of gold.

 

The boy on the bed rolled his eyes. “I haven't moved from this spot in at least two hours, I am obviously Inuyasha.”

 

“Prove it.”

 

“I kidnapped you. I gave you that dress. I am raking you somewhere tonight. I'm a hanyou, In turn into a human on the night of the new moon.” He shrugged and she looked into his eyes. He definitely looked like Inuyasha in the face.

 

“Cool! So this is why you aren't going to get caught?” He nodded. “Well then lets go!” She grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the house and when they were halfway down the street she pushed him in front. “I think you better lead.”

 

After walking for what seemed like forever they stopped on an abandoned bridge, looking down at the beach. He pointed. “We are going down there.” She nodded, and leaned over the bar until she was actually falling. Just as she was about to fall Inuyasha grabbed her and pulled her to himself.

 

“Kami, don't do that!” He cried. They both blushed slightly and he let her go. She mumbled a `thanks' and trying to break the awkward silence Inuyasha said, “I'll race ya.”

 

“You're on!”

 

With that they both took off down the bridge and turned at the end racing for the beach. Inuyasha made it first, and Kagome right after. Both breathing hard they sat down in the warm sand and let the waves splash their feet.

 

“You didn't just bring me down here to rape me or something right?” She asked.

 

“Hell no!”

 

“Good.” She muttered with a sigh of relief. “Why did you bring me down her anyway?”

“I don't know. I had nothing better to do.” He shrugged and lied down and Kagome son after right beside him. They looked up into the cloudless, clear sky. It was perfect. The waves splashing against the shore was just like music and everything was so peaceful.

 

“It's beautiful, Inuyasha.” She mumbled.

 

“Mhmsoareyou.” He mumbled, his words all together.

 

“What?”

 

“Nothing.”

 

She gave him a funny look, but shrugged and sighed. She tried so hard to hate him, but it seemed impossible. How could that be? He kidnapped her and her mother was probably killing herself. He was just like a puzzle, a big mystery. She was going to solve her Inuyasha puzzle!

 

“What's on your mind?” His voice interrupted her thoughts. She looked over, only to see he wasn't there anymore. He was towering above her. After a while of staring at him in shock, she stood up in front of him.

 

“I dunno…I was just thinking.” She muttered.

 

“About?”

 

“Zebras.”

 

“Liar.”

 

“Am not!”

 

“Are too!”

 

She crossed her arms over her chest and stuck her tongue out of him. “Meanie!” She cried, shoving him playfully. To her surprise he didn't move one inch! So…she tackled him, and soon they were rolling around in the sand. “Ahh! I just washed my hair and you're getting sand in it!” She squealed.

 

“Aw, to bad.” He said with a smirk and rolled were he was sitting on top of her. “Prepare to be sandified!” She squeezed her eyes shut as he dumped loads of sand all over her. As he finished, she rolled over to where she was on top of him.

 

“You're…dead…” She said slowly as she caught herself staring into his now violet eyes, and him into her brown hues. Without warming, she leaned closer and pressed her lips softly against his.

 

His eyes widened slightly, before closing them and giving in to her kiss. Much to Inuyasha's horror, a voice said, “Aw…Young love. How sweet!”

 

Kagome immediately jumped off of Inuyasha, blushing fiercely. “S-sorry!” She stuttered. Inuyasha remained where he was glaring as an elderly old man passed by them. As soon as he was gone, Inuyasha stood up and started stomping away, Kagome close behind.

 

As they made their way into Sesshoumaru's house, Inuyasha stayed down stairs as Kagome wandered back into their room.

 

“Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid,” She scolded herself as she plopped down on the bed and buried her face in a pillow. “Stupid . . .” She began to cry softly. “I wanna go home!” She screamed into the pillow.

 

“Well you are…” She heard Inuyasha's voice. “Tomorrow.”
