A Sad Ending To A Sad Story

Thunk. Thunk. Thunk. Golden eyes reluctantly slid open to the annoying sound. There came the rattle of keys. The silver-haired boy on the bed sat up and raised a brow, listening carefully. After just a moment noise stopped and someone stopped in front of his cell. The horrible scent was all to familiar. `Kouga…' His brain hissed. After just a moment his cell door opened slowly, proving that, in fact, he was right. It was Kouga. The officer closed the door again and locked it, smiling at Inuyasha.

 

“What the hell do you want?” Inuyasha ground out. He was answered by silence. The golden hues narrowed slightly, and his mouth turned down in a frown. “What the hell is wrong with you?” Kouga smirked and walked forward slowly. “What's behind your back Kouga?” No answer, once again, just another smirk. Inuyasha stood up, slowly and cautiously and began to back away from the silent wolf demon.

 

“Inuyasha, I just want to play.” Kouga's voice came out low and husky. Inuyasha was about to scream something along the lines of `You sick bastard.' but Kouga pushed him down and pinned him to the floor, Inuyasha staring up at him in horror. Was Kouga seriously going to…?

 

“Inuyasha? Inuyasha?” They turned to hear the old man from the cell across from him. “Are you alright? What's going on over there?”

 

Kouga leaned down and whispered in Inuyasha's ear, “Tell him your fine.” Inuyasha gulped slightly, feeling nauseas. After a long time he finally gained his voice and said, “I'm fine.”, as normally as he possibly could. By the sound of it the man was already asleep again.

 

“Good boy.” Kouga's breathe caressed Inuyasha's little doggy ear. Inuyasha admitted that this could be a lot of fun with one of the female cops. “Ready to have that fun I promised?”

 

“Hell no.” Inuyasha spat. “Get the fuck off of me.” Kouga licked Inuyasha's cheek playfully and it took everything Inuyasha had not to throw up. “Why don't you kill me, like you came here to do?” Inuyasha growled. He would much rather have that then a crazy male cop on top of him wanting to `have fun'.

 

“I told you. I want to have fun first. I'll be put away after this and I won't see anyone for a real long time, Inuyasha. You don't want me to be lonely do you?” Kouga began unbuttoning Inuyasha's shirt and the hanyou couldn't take it any longer. He pushed Kouga off and quickly stood up.

 

“You sick bastard!” Inuyasha roared. Kouga stood up and gave him a hurt look. He began walking closer. “Don't touch me!” Kouga shrugged and his seductive smile turned into a frown.

 

“As you wish.” He muttered. “Just have to finish.” He threw himself forward, pinning Inuyasha to the wall. He grabbed his knife and Inuyasha tried desperately to knock it out of his hands. He failed, and Kouga pushed it forward and stabbed Inuyasha straight in the heart, twisting the knife furiously.

 

Inuyasha gasped in pain and as Kouga let go of the knife crumpled to the ground, in a puddle of dark crimson. Kouga smiled to himself and left the cell, for someone to find Inuyasha the next day.

 

<>Next Day<>

 

Kagome padded down the stairs and sat down on the couch with her mother, who was watching the news. “Inuyasha Takeda, murderer and kidnapper was found dead in his cell early this morning, a knife pierced through his heart. One of our very own officers was taken away for the murder just a few hours ago.” The man on the TV reported. Kagome stared in shock, not believing what she had just heard.

 

“Kagome, dear, are you alright?” Her mother asked from beside her. Kagome burst into tears and her mother immediately wrapped her warm arms around her crying daughter. “What's wrong?” She asked over and over again until Kagome finally screamed at the top of her lungs, “I loved him!”

 

A few days later Kagome got a letter in the male. She opened it. It was saying that they had found a letter in Inuyasha's cell addressed to her. She quickly searched and found the letter. She ran up to her room and shut the door, still fumbling with the letter. When she finally got it open, she read:

 

Dear Kagome,

When you said you loved me earlier today, I know I should have listened. I didn't though, and now I long to be with you. I want you in my arms. I want your lips against mine; I want you to be here with me right now. I'm sorry for all the things I did or said to you in the past, which isn't easy for me to say.

 

I was scared when you said you loved me… well more like terrified. I don't want to see you get hurt, Kagome. You mean more to me than anything in this world and I am sorry I didn't tell you this before. I wish I had… I want to see your beautiful face. Someone like me doesn't deserve someone like you. I killed so many innocent people and then took you. Secretly, the whole time you were there I was happy. You were the only one to make me smile in a long time.

 

I'm sorry I didn't tell you before… I'm in love with you Kagome Higurashi.

She finished the letter in tears. She would never see him again. Never. He was dead. He was completely gone now. She had absolutely nothing left. Of course she could try and be happy here with her family. She knew deep down that she would never be truly happy again.

“Mommy! That story was so sad! Is it true?” A little girl piped up, wiping a tear from her eye. Her mother nodded, and pulled her into a warm embrace.

 

“It's very true. Kagome was one of my very good friends and Inuyasha was your father's.”

 

“So you and daddy were Miroku and Sango from the story?!” The little girl cried, as her mother pulled her hair out of her face and nodded. “What ever happened to Kagome? Is she all right? Where does she live? Was she ever happy again?” The girl shot off questions.

 

“Kagome lives faraway from here, now. She wanted to get away. That's where this book comes from. She's a writer. She says when she is writing she is happy as she can get, though Inuyasha isn't with her. Most of her stories are about him. She says when she writes about him it is just like he is there with her.” Sango smiled at her daughter and the little girl struggled not to cry again.

 

“I wish I could meet Inuyasha.” The little girl whispered before she fell asleep in her mother's arms. Sango smiled and carried her off to bed.

Well that's the end. Yep. Corny, stupid, short, retarded, and not happy like I promised. ^^; Sooo… it was all just Sango reading to her little girl? Yes. Bet you wouldn't have guessed that!

 

Hah! I also told you I went Yaoi-happy. It's the truth see? Kouga molesting Inuyasha. ;D I don't like Kouga very much… I wanted to make him gay. Why would I do that? I don't know… I think gay guys are the best so no offence to all you out there!
