Prologue…

Salty tears streamed down the soft cheeks of a beautiful blue eyed maiden, who was currently leaning against a tree, looking at two couples, currently lip locked in the center of a clearing, cloudy serpent shapes, swimming in the air around them. One of the figures, tall with long silver hair, and white ears topped his head, and draped his body was a deep red kimono. His clawed hand rested on the fragile body of a dark haired woman, her creamy hand running through the other figures hair.

They pulled apart, panting and looking at each other, amber meet blue sapphire (I forget what color kikyo's eyes are). A smile formed on the pairs lips. The smaller figure, a female (obviously) put her hand gently on his face, running her figures down his jaw line.

"Are you ready to fulfill your promise to me Inuyasha?" the girl asked, her voice a soft melodic tune in the nights, moist air.

"Of course I am Kikyo. I would go to hell, and back seven times for you," the man, Inuyasha answered, running a clawed hand through her raven hair, the smile on his face spreading wider, his eyes shown with desire, and love.

The girl behind the tree sobbed out as the shadowy snake like dragons started swirling around the two embracing people, and ran into their line of sight, sobbing, river of tears flowing down her pale cheeks. Taking a deep breath, she screamed with all the love, hurt, and deep, unfixable pain "INUYASHA!!!" The two figures in the circle of serpents looked at her, with their face masked and unemotional. Inuyasha smiled a pained look in his amber eyes. Before disappearing forever, he mouthed in her direction, `Good-bye Kagome' before fading away, still embracing the raven hair women in his loving embrace.

The girl fell to her knees, letting her face fall into her hands. She felt her heart being ripped apart from inside her. The darkness of the pain that had drifting into her delicate heart for so long, had finally taking over, leaving only a small section alive. With the memories of the man she loved, Inuyasha, flashed before her closed eyes, like a movie screen, she couldn't help but lean over, sobbing with all the pain inside her. That was the worst thing he could have done to her so far.

She just sat there for awhile, crying. Her organs were flipping around inside her body, like the emotional pain was enough to be physical. She could only remember everything that has happened between Inuyasha and herself. But what replayed the most was the time she admitted to loving him.

~`*`~ Flashback ~`*`~

Inuyasha help Kagome in his tight embrace, as they lay down on a plane, just looking up at the stars of the night's sky. They had found three Shikon shards that day. Kagome opened her eyes lazily. She felt so safe, so wanted, and loved in Inuyasha's embrace. She took his clawed hand, startling him a little bit.

"What are you doing?" he asked in a calm curious voice as Kagome gently placed his hand over her beating heart. He quirked his eyebrows in curiosity.

Kagome sat up, with his hand still placed over her heart, and her hands over his own. A loving smile creased her lips, making her features light up. "Inuyasha, I want you to know that I care about you, with all my heart, I care about you," she said, her voice streaming in the air like a soft song. Inuyasha looked into her eyes, to see if she was lying. "I'm not laying Inuyasha. I think I love you. No, I do love you," she said, her face turned serious, but her eyes still holding that bright tint of love in them.

"Kagome-," Inuyasha started before a finger was placed over his lips. He furrowed his eyebrows, looking at the beautiful creature in front of him shake her raven head.

"No Inuyasha. I don't want you to say anything. I just wanted you to know that I loved you. No matter what," she said, the last part looking straight into his eyes without blinking. Inuyasha smiled, gripping her chin, and brings her lips to his own, kissing her deeply, with all the happiness he could muster up at that moment.

~`*`~ End of Flashback ~`*`~

Remembering this only caused her to give out another heart wrenching sob. She could feel her heart crumpling away, going to hell with Inuyasha. What pained her more was, she had only emitted her love to him just last night. Was he doing this to her because he wanted to show her that she was nothing to him? Because he hated her because of what she was? `No. Kikyo is also what I am, and he seems to love her more,' she thought to herself bitterly.

She heard the sounds of feet behind her, scurrying hurriedly. There seem to be more then one foot though. If it were a bug daemon then she had no way to protect herself in the state she was in at the current time. But she didn't care. `Let them kill me. If not even Inuyasha wants me, then who does?' she cried inside her mind. She bit her lower lip, and strained her upper body to press harder against her legs.

Kagome felt water drip on her back, little droplets. It was raining. The Heavens had opened up and was crying for her pain.

"KAGOME!" she heard behind her, but she didn't budge. She was in a trance like state. Her mind registered whose voice it was. It was Sango's worried voice. But with the memories, flashing into her head, she didn't twitch a muscle to register that anyone spoke. She only cried into her hand, the tear, like a poisoned river flowing down her face, never seemed to stop.

The broken girl felt a hand on her shoulders, shaking her out of her trance. She slowly sat up and flung her arms around Sango's shoulders, and cried.

"He left me Sango. Right after what I told him last night. He left me with Kikyo," she was able to say between cries. Sango's heart ripped when she heard this. She had been hiding behind a tree last night and heard the whole conversation. Kagome seemed so happy. Lately, no matter what the group did, she never smiled. But she did when she devoted her love to the mutt Inuyasha. She gritted her teeth, and wrapped her arms tightly around Kagome, looking up to find Miroku looking at the two, his brow furrowed together.

Leaning down, his captured Kagome, picking her up, his strong arms cradling her shaking, fragile form to his chest, and made his way back to camp. Sango walked closely behind the two, her eyes cast downward. She felt so bad for Kagome.

The trio finally got to the camp. The fragile form of Kagome had fallen asleep into Miroku's arms, the tears singing her to sleep with their silent, sad song. The monk gently laid the broken female down on her sleeping mat, and pulled the thick covers over her. He sighed and looked at Sango with his sad eyes. Kagome was like a sister to the two of them, who had fallen deep in love with each other. Miroku had given up his flirtatious ways when he finally confessed to Sango how he felt. And Kagome had been so happy when the two of them had come out of the forest holding each other's hands.

"What are we going to do Miroku? I don't think someone could heal from such a blow like that. And what will she do when she finds out about the well?" she said, in a worried voice, leaning against the monks chest. She felt like crying. It was like Kagome's pain was strong enough; it was in itself a spirit, flowing around her like a poisoned, yet invisible cloud.

"Shh… Sango. We will just have to give her time," he said, in all seriousness. Soon the two were also asleep, in each others embrace yet again. All three slumbering figures dreamt of horrific nightmares.
